A Winter Wildlife Wonderland | BBC Earth 1249pm 11.12.24 the african savahanna and the vast migrations of penguins bracing up to the vile cold of the south are usually championed as being feats of endurance. the paltry salmon, though, the most amazing jaunt i have had described to me... makes the paltry salmon the most majestic of beasts. top notch!!! so much so i wont eat 'em.
@@Basil_Fawlty A Winter Wildlife Wonderland | BBC Earth 1539pm 11.12.24 i watched up until the penguins when i made my quip about the salmon being pretty much the most awesome creature of the bunch to deal with all that life had to throw at it... the salmon being noticeable (conspicuous by it's absence) by it's not being added to the collection of clips compiled. guess i didnt have to watch these again as i have seen them in the wider context of their original airing on tv... and the fact that a hell of a lot of natural history shows these days, to save on the costs of travelling to the regions of the earth where these animals exist, now utilize stock footage as some wit waffles on.. and on and on.... and on. rather like east anglia's survival show used to do.
The sheer beauty and magic of winter wildlife captured in this video is truly mesmerizing. Each scene felt like a glimpse into a serene wonderland, where nature's creatures thrive against the snowy backdrop. It's impossible to choose a favorite moment when every frame is filled with such grace and wonder. Thank you, BBC Earth, for allowing us to witness these intimate moments in the lives of these incredible animals. Your dedication to showcasing the natural world in all its glory is truly commendable. This video was indeed the only voice I needed to be transported into this enchanting winter realm. And yes, that clip of the reindeer slipping
We're incredibly grateful to the BBC team for their hard work in bringing this documentary to the world. Those penguin chicks are truly incredible-thank you so much!!
this is such a beautifully shot video, you can really feel the magic of winter. however, i can't help but think that the portrayal of wildlife in such pristine conditions might give a skewed view of their actual struggles. nature can be harsh, and sometimes it feels like we gloss over the tough realities for a more picturesque narrative. what do you all think?
Those filthy penguins remind me of my ducks. Every time I start to regret getting white ducks they somehow wash all that red clay mud off in their pool. 😊

A Winter Wildlife Wonderland | BBC Earth 1243pm 11.12.24 it is what it is. no one else just watch and not really think about anything...? is that just me, then? i only react to what seem to be contrived scenarios or faux imagery of alleged icy seas or otherworldly maquettes masking as other worldly places...

God loves you and cares for you so that this message reaches you. God is the one who created this large universe and controls it completely. The greatest loss a person loses in this life is that he lives without knowing God who created him and knowing the Messenger of Muhammad, the last of the messengers, and the Islamic religion, the last of the heavenly religions. Great intelligence, before you believe in something or not, is to read it, study it, and understand it well, and after that you have the choice to believe in it or not to believe in it. I advise you to do this now, before you no longer have time to do so. Life is very short. It is just a test, just a passage to eternal life. Great advice to those who... Understands
Which winter animal scene was your favourite? ❄
The penguins
The Elephants

Over 2 hours of David Attenborough my night is complete
1:27:49 The reindeer slipping and sounding like they were saying "no" was so cute. They're much better on ice than me!
Winter may be unforgiving, but the wildlife shows remarkable strength. Fantastic documentary, BBC Earth!

UA-cam ads are getting too much. I'm starting to find myself stressed watching UA-cam videos. Ads after ads. But I refuse to pay for that no ads fee.
amazing
