While it definately has issues with speed in most directions, i still think it deserves some good credit for being interplanetary without using hydrogen, in a way that still looks good. Especially since Ions weigh a lot and you won't get a lot of power out of them in the 10km -14km dead zone, where atmospheric thrusters don't do anything and ions are still on near minimum output. Making it a pure hydrogen or hydrogen/atmospheric hybrid would solve the speed issues and make it a fair bit lighter, since hydrogen thrusters don't have issues with low altitude and generally have a lot of thrust power. Though you'd need space for at least one hydrogen tank in the build, likely 2 for it's size.
I would just use a lot of atmo and try and speed through the dead zone as much as possible, its a drop ship so it should be doing most of its flying in atmo anyways, maybe a tankless hydro boost (h2O2) for the dead zone
Hm. Those seat bases makes me wonder something. Could you set them up with merge blocks and a parachute /small battery to allow the seats to "drop" out of the ship at altitude?
From what I'm seeing, I seriously don't think that thing is capable of launching from a planet and reaching space. Don't know if you tested that with that ship.

This ship looks so good
I would have focused on atmo for a drop ship, personally
Always amazing me jack keep up the good work
