Thans! Timothy, the video is very informative.
You’re welcome, sharymyny6454 👍
I work in downtown Greer and was actually working that event in the park at the beginning of the video! The park is GORGEOUS and huge! Multiple levels with a pond and gazebo at the bottom. Greer is a wonderful place to visit.
It is. I want to bring my wife back to explore more of it.
Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Timothy.

The problem with this video--which I can only presume would be the problem with all this kind of video--is that it is exclusively about the little downtowns of these towns. And the problem with THAT -- and I'm speaking of this video on Greer in particular-- is that the downtown area has undergone a transformation in recent years to conform it with the trendy millennial idea of what a small city like Greer should be. Trendy restaurants. Converted, trendy shops. Trendy venues. Lots of trendy beer and wine places. Trendy, trendy, trendy. Well, I LIVE IN GREER, and the trendy millennials are a small subset of the Greer residents. They've even built their own downtown apartments/condos in the heart of the town, so they can live down there and almost never leave. But Greer is MUCH more than these trendy millennials. Anyone who has lived here a long time knows that. In fact, a lot of people who call Greer home don't frequent its downtown area nowadays. It's too hard to find convenient parking. The prices are too high. There isn't the variety of shopping there used to be. Unless they have to go to city court, they may not go downtown at all.
To be fair, it's probably an impossible task to try to sum up the nature of every small city or town in a state in a short amount of time. But why not be more accurate and just SAY that you're going to tell people about the DOWNTOWN of all these little cities?
Thanks for the local information. And I agree with your thoughts on the high prices that come with trendy.
As far as only filming in the town centers, that’s what this series of videos is about, as I’m on a quest to visit every town center in North and South Carolina and could not finish in a reasonable amount of time if I did more.
Thanks for watching And thanks for posting 👍
