Adding a log lift device was a useful upgrade. I also have a log splitter. You have a similar hydraulic diagram to mine. Even the pressure gauge is in the same place😊

I watch a lot of you tube videos. Your content is understandable and very well presented. I'm waiting on my new log splitter to arrive and have been planning to install a log lift. This video made my project so much easier and just flat makes my day. Your outfeed table design is great. Thank you Jim O for posting this! Also, thanks for including the footage of your dad using the log splitter.

Thank you for the very nice comment. It is things like this that make it worth while to post this stuff. It is all about helping and sharing. I was really in the dark about adding the extra hydraulic circuit at first. I scoured many UA-cam log splitter log lift videos to try to get an answer. That was the main driver in creating this video once I got the basics. I am glad to have made your day. I wish you luck and a fun time in your upcoming install. Best, Jim

@@JIMO415 The hydraulic information is hugely helpful. This video was the first time that I have seen an explanation of the how and the why of hydraulic system modification. You shed a bright light on it. The fact that you would also include the supplier makes it better yet. Again, the best all around video about this on you tube.

Impressive content, Tinkering Jim O. Looking forward to your next upload from you. I smashed the thumbs up icon on your video. Keep up the fantastic work! Your insights into the hydraulic system modifications were enlightening. How do you determine the optimal positioning for the hydraulic lift to ensure maximum efficiency and safety when splitting larger logs?

Thanks for the complement and the visit! The lift raises up to about horizontal and stops, so the logs do not come rolling at you. The geometry is already figured out in the lift mounting brackets that were part of the kit. That took a lot of design work out of the equation.
