Hi there can I ask - are you based in UK.. ?? Only asking because I would like a log splitter making but no one seems to be able to help - all seems to be too much work for everyone.
It was a real pleasure to watch this workshop without those ugly interference frequencies (which are mistakenly called music). With normal machine noises, it is music to my ears. You could see a professional at work here, doing a great job. Unfortunately, there are only very few of this quality here... Hundreds of times Pravo...
Well designed and built - a log splitter that anyone would be lucky to own! Great job and thank you for showing all the camera angles and shots so we could enjoy making this with you!
When I was a kid I used to do a lot of fall plowing for dad at night. I'd usually plow till midnight or 1:00 in the morning. I loved to plow and mow hay. Dad had a mounted 7' cycle bar mower. I loved the smell of fresh cut hay in the evening.
Of course you are very clever, no doubt about it. Just from my own experience, I would make the main piston control a foot control and install a return spring. Free hands are a must when splitting wood.
I love builds like this. I made my living from designing and building all sotrs of things like this and otherthings. Retired now and I sure do miss them.
This explains why these types of splitters cost what they do. The time and materials that go into them. It was dissapointing that the cycle time was so slow., on par with box store glacier splitters. But truly a great job. Not a rushed video. I'm confussed as to why the seperate power unit.
The build was phenominal but I bet you have already seen some changes you wish you had made during the build. i understand that as I built my house and wish I had changed things too. One is that your wood is dropping on your draw bar and will bend it in time. How fast is this with green red oak or some other hard wood. Your build shows quality work. Thank you for sharing this build
Well done, very nice build. I am wondering for de hydraulic cilinder of the vertical knife, how can you make sure that the cilinder stroke matches the end position, so you don't force for example the L shaped hinge or the welds on the horizontal small knives when moving the vertical knife cilinder to its max (cfr min 25.37). On the video you fit it at cilinder retracted. For the small horizontal knives for splitting wood in 4 you could have given them a slight angle to reduce a bit the force maybe, it would also maybe 'jump' a bit less because you split gradually
It’s incredibly well made but ¿why you put the trailer bar in that side? It must be in the other side and if you’r going to split to big logs ¿why don’t made a table to not collect them all all the time from the floor?
Never never inclose a love joy , it will overheat and burn. Its better to align it as close as possible and use four corners of small angle iron, for air cooling
Should have added i built mine over 30 years ago, still works. You need to put a air inlet t on the oil inlet side, they are hard as hell to start if they are sucking cold oil, you start the engine and then slowly close the air inlet. Mine you just turn the oil line off and the air inlet open until it runs for a minute, them close and open.
Rough engineering, you did not locate the pump on a spigot to ensure accurate alignment to the crankshaft axis. Your flexible coupling element life will be short. 😏😏
This is my second channel, on this channel I publish older videos without music and with previously unpublished video shots😄
As I was watching I thought it was your video, so I came down here to see how many other people thought the same :)
Удачи в труде! Всё красиво.
Buongiorno
È possibile sapere che motore hai montato.. Quanti cv e che pompa
.. Da quanti lt?
Grazie

I believe the cost to buy one would be cheaper. But the quality in the bought one is no where close to this one. Great job sir.
Yes the use of Vise Grip/locking pliers to tighten the hydraulic hoses was epic quality.

Nice to see someone who can use a mig correctly
Thank you for chairing, that was really good.
amazing job on this log splitter. really like the idea of the lift splitter...
You did an awesome job. I'm sure it is better than anything you can buy. Great welding skills 😊 great design 😊
That is one monster Fab, mi amigo. Excellent!

Great build I love it when people who haven’t built shit give criticism…
Like your lack of punctuation?
Magnificent. Great job. Billy J..... Queensland, Australia.
Thank you 😁

Can be used for all kinds of other hydraulic applications. The power unit that is.
Very easy to build when you have all the tools you would find and more, in any steel workshop
Hello mister beautifully made good job well done
Wow. You are some kind of good hand. Love to watch you work, and just subscribed.
Thanks for the video, I got some ideas.
A nice build!
Wow what a great job
I'm always amazed at your ability...respect👌👌👍
Genial gemacht ein Meister.

Very well done to you!👏🇨🇮
How did you make the push plate that goes onto the cylinder at time stamp of13:38?
Que buena máquina
La podré copiar?
Хоть и идёт война между нашими странами но скажу что ты большой молодец. Уважаю таких людей. Спасибо за видео за труды. Я из России.
Чё, Украину уже взяли? Теперь с Польшей воюете?

How many gpm is the pump ??
Вот я понимаю мастер , знает что делает.
За такой дровокол и не залка деньги потратить
Ciao. Ottimo lavoro
Hi, could you please tell me the dimensions of the knife adjustment arm? 23 minutes into the video.
Kompliment für diese Konstruktion.
Золотые руки!❤
What’s that supposed to be anyway?
👍👍👍Grandios!
Which pump do you used ? I would like to build something like this :)
Big job.
I need this thing.
All this before lunch.
Super gut 🔩🔧💪🤣👍
Awesome
Workshop from Scratch guy.
Great!
Te spoiny nie wyglądają zbyt solidnie. Proponował bym elektrodę 3.2
bravoo
Hätte er sich für das Geld was das alles zusammen kostet einen fertigen Spalter gekauft, hätte er etwas ordentliches gehabt

Why do americans alwys turn rounds wih the wire en welding, not proffesionel
To slow for me
Супер!!!
