Good splitters, I am going on 3 years with mine with no issues. I will say be careful with those large rounds, I had a big half get away from me and came back and landed on my knee and messed it up bad. Happy splitting to you!!!
Great splitter and great video! At the time you made this video, about how many cords would you say you'd run through it. It looks a little beat up, but still running strong!
Honestly I have no clue. We sale by the truck load. Got this in March of 2019 and we’ve probably sold about 250-300 truck loads since then. Already sold 5 this month in this Alabama heat, and she is still running strong.
That’s a nice splitter for sure! I’m not sure what I want the Rugger or the Northstar. Either way, the auxiliary hydraulic fluid bucket was an awesome idea!
@@205bamaboy94 I'm down here in Daphne,Alabama and looking to purchase a log splitter. Would you recommend this brand of splitter for someone looking to start a small firewood business?
@@kevinmcquitery4543 awesome man! I’m up in Shelby county . And yes I do recommend this brand. Rugged Made is great. And if you do this right you will pay for it 2x this season.
@@205bamaboy94 thanks and hopefully I can do it right. I've been buying wood from a friend then reselling it for a $80 profit. Figured I'd just buy a splitter considering I have a New Skid Steer with a grapple and could just load my dump trailer and start selling my own. I've seen FB to be a good place to sell wood so I figured I'd start there selling it.
Great video! Iinteresting that you have the 22 ton and it works with such large rounds. I was looking at the rugged made today and it was the 7 series, 27 ton, because I thought I'd need that for the size wood you're splitting. Looks like maybe not? Any thoughts? Thanks!
Thanks man! Honestly,I split close to 100 truck loads of firewood last year and I didn’t come across piece of wood that it couldn’t split. Well with the exception of logs that were over knotty. The 22 ton is a beast! Good luck, stay safe and have fun!
Lol I have a wide age range of customers. My older in age customers love it. Easy to carry and to manage the fire. Also I sell this to my first time fire starters. They like the thinner pieces at first while the learn how to fire build. Know your customers.
Great video guys, those were some big rounds! Nice work.

Ouch! Thanks for the warning man!
Splitter is very nice!!! Runs really smooth and picked up a round that weighted at least 400lbs and split it with no problem
Call me racist but I am subscribing simply because these guys are good role models for young black men. Great work brother. Bumping the algorithm
1st black man with a diy splitter project wow , I did mine and the blow up
Good luck to you man

They make great splitters. They're a little outta my price range, but still nice.
They are pricey, but it paid for itself the first first firewood season
What's the price on that splitter?
Paid $1900, new

@@205bamaboy94 thanks so much for the response! Stay safe as well!
how has it held up, been looking at getting the 37t model
Still running like a champ! The seals on my handle started leaking a bit . But I fixed it with a 2 cent oil ring.
How has your splitter been holding up?
Still going great. Had to replace the values on the top ($90) because of a leak. I could have just fixed the leak with a oil ring, I wanted new.
at 3:58, why are you making kindling? That wood is now too small to be anything else!
