+Lewis Taylor it's a rather unfair exchange when you think about it. Seraph's life is worth much more than her pelt. The fur farmers got gypped and they didn't even know it.
Didn't think about it before i read your comment. Yeah, it shows how people appreciate things differently, to someone, it's life and to others it's a mere pelt..
This is so wonderful! Thank you for educating people with the things you're doing. Sera is adorable! And she'll never know how lucky she is to have you guys, but she'll definitely be a happy ambassador, I'm sure of that!
+Lucy Rogers Well, that song actually raised fox awareness, so it's actually a pretty good song. Those guys also base their music humour in curiosity, which is very admirable in this day and age. What do foxes sound like, how to tie a knot, what's the Stonehenge, all these are legitimate questions.
Watched a documentary on foxes in the wild. They worried because of Global warming, the red fox in Northern Canada incrotchment. We have red foxes here in southwestern Ontario but they fear is the impact on Artic as red foxes go further into the Artic .Nature of Things I believe. BINGE WATCHING YOUR VIDEOS.I was surprised in captivity you have the 2 species together.
Synthetic materials have their own issues. Anything made from plastic tends to result in some minimal level of pollution as the item breaks down. Microfiber is a good example. The issue I think is people using these things for luxury. I think there are fewer issues if a hunter is using the entire animal (meat, bones, hide) for practical purposes.
+Anna Paw Because selfish psychopaths think their trivially unimportant desires for comfort outweigh not torturing these animals to death: torturing includes confinement.
@@_Tekito_ What a trivial selfish reason. Some men (and women) prefer having sex with kids. Looking at pornograph is not good enough for them. Should we let them do it?
Seraphina is so pretty! Also I have a question, kinda. I'm studying wildlife in shool, and we have to do this project about animal enrichment in zoos, so we have to design and build something for a zoo animal. I'm going to make something for the silver foxes in our zoo, so I was wondering if you (or anyone else who sees this) have any ideas as to what a fox would find fun to play with? We can build anything, but it's best if it's durable and easy to clean, so obviously i can't just give him a carboard box.
+Mar My idea would be lots of digging area. Like 5 to 10 feet of dirt to dig to their hearts' content. Aside from that, just a lot of hidden treats (like apples and berries, maybe even small pieces of meat) for them to spend a lot of time foraging as they would in the wild. Perhaps if you are limited to a smaller scale, lots of novel objects to help their curiosity (it almost doesn't matter what they are, but safely chewable items would be great). Maybe even a pool to swim in.
ShadeSlayer1911 yeah, we can't exactly build a giant sandbox although that would be pretty cool. they have a lot of digging area in their enclosure anyways! the hidden treats thing is a fun idea, but we actually have to build something ourselves so we can't just grab some berries and throw them around the enclosure. but thank you for the ideas! i can try to work around those!
+Mar Most foxes love to search for things that smell interesting. They also like items that move in an interesting way. Some ideas would be: A wood or plastic puzzle box (or large PVC) with places to put food or scents inside that can be reached by a curious paw or tongue. A board that can be attached to bars or a side wall where keepers can attach items like feathers, leather, straw, bones, branches, etc.and add new items once the old ones are destroyed. A pinata made with safe materials with interesting smells inside (peanut butter, fish bait, coconut oil, etc). A "cat tree" made of wood where they can climb and lounge. If possible, I'd check with the keepers on any ideas involving food since diets are something that need to be controlled by those caring for an animal. Have fun!
It's so horrible that such amazing and beautiful animals are raised to just be killed, skinned and sold. It's an absolute atrocity! I am so happy that Seraphina can enjoy a good, happy life. Thank you so much for saving her life. You guys are awesome!
+Lulu Chains 88 Unfortunately, if there is a demand, there will always be a market, even if it were illegal. As much as I hate the idea of raising an animal just to skin it, fur farms are necessary, as they reduce pressure on wild populations. Without them, they would simply move to the black market, and wild populations would suffer. Think of it like a necessary evil.
Thank you so much for taking care of Seraphina, and taking care of her. In Australia foxes are a pest animal that is incredibly harmful to both the local fauna and chickens and other farm animals. I have a hate of foxes built on from when I was a kid, and I am shifting it from foxes are horrible, to foxes are lovely, when they live where they belong, which does not include the Australian countryside. Thank you for educating people about fur farms. I think taking animals from farms, to raise them happily, and educate people about fur farming is both a win for the animal, and a win for education about fur farming is wonderful. I have different feelings about fur farms than you (as long as the animals are well cared for). I think a well cared for ermine in captivity is likely to be happier than an ermine in the wild, that is likely hungry and terrified. But I was raised by farmers, so I have some strong biases. But at the end of the day, as long as people have good education about animals, then better decisions will be made. More education = better decisions.
I hate people using fur so unnecessarily, but honestly I think that things like PETA have made it harder to actually deal with these types of places. It's more popular to dislike peta (for good reason) than it is to not support fur farms.
I love seeing all the animals in your care. I've always loved animals, but it's just really exciting to learn about new species and seeing them interact with each other or with humans! Sera is such a beautiful fox, glad you could allow her to live and speak for her species :) Could you please, PLEASE do a video about rats? I remember seeing a rat in one of your videos, but I couldn't find any videos talking about them! They are so misunderstood and underestimated, and they make really, really good pets! :)
thank yo so much for your wonderfull energy and love to the animal kingdom something incredible yo are doing keep sharing love and friendship with all reigns of beings
There's a red fox living on the grounds of Capital High School. Great place for a fox, right across from the duck pond at the fairgrounds. She'd better watch out for those darn Bruins, though!
When I volunteered at an animal education program, we had a red fox who had been taken in as a pet and abused. She was skittish and paced the front of her enclosure constantly when upset, but I learned so much from her, and eventually she was willing to take food from me. They're wonderful animals, I hate how often they're mistreated.
i dont get some people you and i do get used to the same animal after seeing and feeling it over and over again but whenever i feel an animal for the first time its so awesome like iv seen plenty of pic of sheep on the inerwebs but when i first felt a sheep i thought it was impossible how soft and beautiful it was
Wow, that coat makes a real difference. Before you started explaining, I thought wow she is skinny, but it makes sense. Also those jumps, they make my heart flutter and I fall in love
My favorite animal is a fox because they are so fragile. I am happy that you made this video because I hate fur farms and it was very generous of you to save her life.
Awwww one of my friends had a party a while ago and theses people came, at the time Sarafina (idk the spelling) was a kit and she peed on the rug it was adorable
Are you familiar with Mikayla Reynes (sp?) and Saveafox Rescue? They rescue foxes from fur farms and pet surrenders, and most of the foxes are adoptable in legal states. They take in other animals too, like cats and a coyote, but they specialize in foxes.
Maybe one day you could tell people about the very interesting outcomes of studies into fox taming in (I think) Russia. Which would answer why Foxes like wolves aren't really suitable pets? Love your Work Jessi & Augustus 😆 DFTBA

She's more tamed than my cat who acts like a crazy little zooming tiger. She can climb up the screen door in a second flat up seven feet then throw herself to the floor and zoom off.
Speaking of having an animal that needs lots of stimulation, I have a cat that is incredibly playful. I have arranged my schedule so that I play with her 2-3 (even four or five on weekends) times a day for twenty to thirty minutes at a time depending on her energy levels. Despite that effort and all the balls, toys, and scratching posts my apartment is littered with, I can tell she becomes very restless and frustrated while I'm away at work. Because of where I live and finances, I can't adopt another cat and I can't have my tv playing bird videos eight hours a day (though I'm thinking of asking for a tablet for Christmas to serve that purpose). Does anyone have any suggestions for toys that are more interactive than balls, stuffed animals, a tennis ball, strings, and cat posts/trees?
+Lydia Tarine We set up 'kitty tv'. It's a bird feeder hung just outside the window. On nice days, we even open the sliding door and just have the screen. Plus side is you get to see some nice birds too! We've gotten goldfinches, blue jays, a female cardinal (the male never shows up, but I know he's around somewhere), and even a red-bellied woodpecker a few times!
I had that when I was rooming at a friend's house but, alas, my apartment is not allowed such things because of fire regulations, apparently. ;-; Which is why I plan on asking for a tablet (for my cat) for Christmas. I do have a large grassy area outside one room with a giant clump of trees at the center. It was enough for my previous cat, but not this one. Thank you though!

Hey Jessi I just want to say that I love the work that groups such as yours do, keep up the good work
Eh i don't get why kill animals for fur if you can make amazing synthetic furs these days.
I guess that´s a lot more expensive to make sadly :(
Unfortunately synthetic furs don't have the same sensation and that's why the real furs are that expensive and desirable
Synthetic materials have their own issues. Anything made from plastic tends to result in some minimal level of pollution as the item breaks down. Microfiber is a good example.

Was Seraphina's name intentionally picked because of its reference to fire? If so, that's awesome! Very fitting for a red fox.
Firey angel reference was intended. Which then influenced our choice for naming her best friend, Castiel the Arctic fox.
Yay! Seraphina is a lot of fun to watch. Great video.

I love her!
SOOOOO CUTE FOXS YAAY
I love Sera the fox and I love all type of foxes!

Does she know how to multishine? Shorten illusion? Chaingrab? I want to know this fox' techskill.
i love foxes
I awww'd so high pitched at tiny Seraphina it startled my cats >.>

Animal Wounder's I love your channel and your animals and of course I will love to volunteer at Animal Wounders what age do you have to be to work for you?
does Sera have an indoor or outdoor enclosure?? also.....so cute!! =3
She has an indoor _and_ outdoor enclosure where she can choose her own temperature zone and floor material.
Can u make a guide on sugar gliders ?? Im having one next week. So need some info from animalnwonders. Thanks !
HI JESSI
Wow, this is an awesome Name!
#notallfoxes
Awe! So cute! How do u train her though?
Not one mention of what the fox says :P
YAAAAAY foxes I love foxes
Oh my gawd I want a fox
>.>
Unfortunately I don't the HOA would allow lol
Here in Australia they are $10...... for each one you shoot. That's right. A government bounty. They're a severe pest and mainly kill lambs (baby sheep, because I have heard Americans argue about what lambs are).
How would you say training a dog differs from training a fox, both being canines but one with a ready history of domestication and one a wild animal (even if Seraphina wasn't technically born wild)?
I am from Kalispell. Where in Montana are you located?
Does she go around "robbing" things and burying them, or that is not a trait of hers/her kind? Too bad i've never seen a real fox, i've always loved them. Hopefully i'll get to visit fox village in Japan one day.
+Carlos Vives What is this fox village you speak of?!
I want one so bad!!! ❤-❤
This is the 4th video that I've seen that's 4:20 long
off-topic, but was that a pair of socks baby sera was playing with? because... i have a pair of dollar socks that look exactly like that.
Foxes are awesome animals, I'll never understand why anyone would want to wear their fur.
How did you decide which animal from the fur farm to rescue?
where and how do I get a fox? Please tell me
anyone else first think of seraphina from unordinary
Can fox live in tropical areas?? I'm just wondering
I'm not endorsing the fur trade ,by any means, but actually fur farms are probably a good thing, honestly, because they're keeping the demand for fur in a controlled environment and not giving business to poachers. Alligator farms did the same thing for the alligator populations of the South and they really helped the wild population recuperate.
I was thinking the same thing
+mustardsfire22 wow i never thought of it that way and that's a really good point. i really wish the demand for fur didnt exist at all though :(
that would only be in a perfect world
+scabiniful That's Jessie's job to educate people and hopefully convince them of that.
+mustardsfire22 Indeed. It's very sad that fur farming exists at all, but so long as it does it _is_ preferable that it's at least standardized and regulated. There will likely always be a demand for a fur trade, and making it illegal would only open the doors for a fur farming black market, which would inevitably be *far worse*.
Foxes are not pests, humans are.
MY CAT IS NAMED SERAPHINA
but what does it say?
Could Sera and Cas could potentially have kits? I mean it in a genetic sence, since they practically live together.
What do u edit with
What farm
these 2 foxes friendship reminds me of the former friendship of Katy Perry and Taylor Swift.
Do you think that Seraphina and Cas might ever try to breed? I don't know if that cross would be successful, but are you trying to prevent/encourage it?
+Azzarinne I am not aware of any successful offspring between a red fox and an Arctic fox, though I'm also not sure how many are housed together in captivity. In the wild they compete for resources. We spayed Sera and neutered Cas to prevent any possibility of breeding. Thanks for asking!
Anyone know where to buy a fox? 😂
So cute tho!❤
how do you get puppies not to bite you hands?
I noticed in the video, you said something really briefly about it
but maybe you could go more in depth?
I understand that foxes and dogs are not the same, but they're kinda similar, right?
Never use your hands as play objects, always use a toy. If they bite your hand make a point of not making it fun, like removing your hand or freezing it in place (boring). Grab a toy asap and replace hand biting with toy biting. It's called replacement or incompatible behavior; they can't be biting your hand if they're biting a toy.
oh and try to bribe Agusto to talk about fish
