- With the release of GhostBasket and the first Bluey episode in months, we finally return to our favorite Heeler family with a perfectly normal, mundane story before the big premiere of the 28-minute special 'The Sign'... or is it?
As it turns out, this one hides an interesting detail that may be setting up something interesting for the show's future...

I'm pretty sure Disney forgot to rewrite the placeholder description. When they will rewrite it is undecided by me.
when it says "a brand new Bluey episode," maybe it means that it's literally a new Bluey episode. like, in life for them. this episode was a big change. maybe the description is more than it seems like it is.
I think that they either weren't able to watch it yet, or they were instructed to give no spoilers.
A brand new Bluey episode
Non-spoiler reason why they won't:
-Too many Bluey themed attractions are being built in Brisbane,so them moving would just make all that effort from the workers seem pointless
-Lila and bingo go to the same school together for ever
-Why it is possible they could've vacationed to the caping site regardless,it's possibly less likely after a move
-Removing characters like Mackenzie,Rusty,and Jack would be a bizarre move,and could definitely be heartbreaking to some kids that were able to look up to them in a way

Yeah, they definitely set it up as if something huge was about to happen and they are going to move, but there are a lot of reasons why it wouldn't make sense if they moved and I think that the biggest one is the Blueyworld stuff featuring their iconic house.
While it's possible that they could also go to the same school even if it's kind of far away, it depends on how far away they'd move and they would probably move too far away from the school to go, if they did move.
They can simply just move somewhere close to Brisbane, or keep living in Brisbane

We have proof from the future scene in Daddy Dropoff that the house won’t be sold, since we see Bingo going to the same school that Bluey is currently going to, and going to high school school with Lila. It’s likely that the family will decide not to sell it by the end of The Sign

Again, Bingo and Lila are so close, I really don't think that they could/would be separated even if Bingo did move.
They go to the same school as each other, but they also clearly change schools when no longer in kindergarten and preschool, so it could be at a totally different place.
I don't think that they actually will move, I just don't feel like this is a big reason as to why they would not move (and remember, it's based on what the writers and creators will do and what they would have decided to do, if they really wanted them to move they could just say "Bingo and Lila stayed together at the same school throughout their lives even when Bingo moved away") but this is the main reason that everyone uses.

Also, based on one of the trailers for The Sign, the kids are shocked by something Bluey says-probably that she’s moving, which indicates that the family would be going to a place where they couldn’t stay at the same schools, so the Daddy Dropoff point still holds up
They can move homes but still be in the same school district.
If the Heelers do move, it could be able to give a lesson in change and moving to new places. Also, the new house could be even closer to Bluey and Bingo’s school so Bingo would still be able to go to Bluey’s school with Lila like in the picture in “Daddy Dropoff” to keep the timeline as it is, of course.
Also, they could pull a Toy Story and have the new house look exactly the same as the old one (maybe with slightly different colors). That would minimize the amount of changes that the park and toy lines have to do.
I have a theory, in the episode “Relax” Chili is seen upset at something, although what she is upset at isnt clear, it may be about selling the house, but in the very next episode stickbird, Bandit is seen going through the same funk as Chili and it may be for the same reason
And there’s so many memories in that house
For the bit about hiding in washing baskets, although me and my siblings didn't hide under them we definitely enjoyed sitting in or being pulled around in them.

Mine used to play Hide and seek where we'd go out in the woods, a plastic shopping bag was wrapped around my head and tied really tight. Then they would run *REALLY* far away and I had to count to 100 try and find them! you couldn't believe how hot and stuffy it got in there. But I'd find them every time! they'd get so mad and use an additional bag each time we played; the rule was that if I fell asleep before I found them, I lost. Never did, though!

I think this is the first episode of Bluey where they're all "in-character" for the game they're playing all the way through. It was like a full comedy skit. I hope they do more like this.

So when I was watching Ghostbasket, I saw some unofficial summary for The Sign and Surprise from a website idk saying that in The Sign, they actually sold the house but in The Sign trailer, Chilli can be seen prepaeing the wedding in the Heeler's backyard. I have no idea if they actually sold it or not, it's maybe before like a few days like less than a week before the sale so idk.
Btw Surprise will release in 21st April, 2024.

Dude when I saw the 28 long episode I cried at the end it was so cute!!! This is why I love Bluey so much! And ghostbasket was really cool too!!!
i know suprise was leaked which answered the whole moving thing, but there is a big clue that show they don't move and that is in the episode Daddy dropoff where there is a picture during the picture flash forward scene where we see Bingo and Lila outside of Calypso's school

One other thing to point out is that in the teaser trailer on the bluey website, there’s a clip where all of bluey’s classmates are shocked and bluey and looking down, sad.
2 ideas moving in with Chilli's dad to help him out in his old age or they're moving closer to a school they like that's closer to bandits/Chilli's work you need to be living near said school to go there. The latter as it be a nice ending to the show seeing them start primary school as they want to "end" the show

People be talking about how sad that we might lose some characters, but here I am thinking about the pond that they just made not too long ago only to be seen once.
If I just finished decorating my backyard and then everyone in the family decided to move to a different house I'd be mad as hell😂
What I think is that, Chili and Bandit put it up for sale, Brandy becomes pregnant and chilli changes her mind or one one wants to buy the house, so they take it off the market. but idk its just a thought.
I find the thought of the Heeler's selling their house upsetting, mainly because the house is a majore part of the series, like you said, but also a good chunk of the video games takes place in and around it, and there are toys of it as well. You can't just make toys of something orsomeone and then kill them off the show.
I have a good feeling that the sign will be a final episode/grand finale. It's one of those things where I would be kinda sad that there wouldn't be new episodes, but I think it would be a really great end to the show.

Yes, it will be a huge change for the heelers to move, maybe difficult, but its for the better.
A new location, new fun, and most importantly, new characters! With a new main location, there’ll be more ideas and more entertaining episodes because its new! Like bluey making friends with neighbors, and bingo too! Im excited for the new location.

Spoiler warning: I just watched the new episode *it came out today* so basically they aren’t moving because the people who were buying their house saw the terrier’s/winton’s house and it had a pool which they wanted so they changed their mind about their house and so basically Bundy the real estate agent told bandit they changed their mine *it’s my speculation on it so maybe they said it* and then they go back into the house and have dinner. It’s not confirmed that they are moving or not but in my speculation they are most likely staying because of the phone call that made Dad/Bandit rip out the sign. Srry if it’s long btw
Edit: Also more episodes that could be connected are Relax, Stickbird, and Daddy Dropoff because Dad, and Mom were not really playing with them. Dad was sad at the end of stickbird and Mom wanted to Relax and that makes sense because of this episode, *The Sign* also in Daddy Dropoff it shows that Bingo stays with Leila until college.

Oh yeah I just glad they had to change their mind Because I was kind of crying and pretty heartbroken but I'm glad the ending did well because they decided not to do it 😭💗

I actually don't think the Heelers are going to move. If you watch the trailer for The Sign episode, one of the last scenes is Bluey and Bingo running towards what looks like the old house. That's proof that they haven't moved.
I was actually shocked not just at the end of the episode, but just the plot in general because a lot of people thought it was going to be a Halloween episode 😂

I think that after the big episode the 27 episode, it might change again so it will only be for two episodes that’s it so that’s the reason why in the future sequence and upcoming episode, that’s why they’re in the same house because they will forget example and episode where Bluey moves in the new bedroom but then in the next episode where they show her bedroom, it’s back in the exact same area so that might happen with the house

Cuz In another new episode, by the end it shows a future clip of adult bluey visiting bandit and chilli, I can’t remember what chilli says specifically but something like, “can you believe your dad almost sold the house?” (I think)
So that’s possible that they changed their mind on selling the house right?

In the new "the sign" trailer there is a brief moment where you can see brandy (chilly's sister) with a baby bump. My theory is that they don't move so chilly can bond with brandy again bc the whole reason they stopped seeing each other was because chilly had gotten 2 children even tho her and Brandy where both diagnosed as infertile but brandy was not able to have any. Now that brandy is pregneat chilly wants to have a better relationship with brandy bc she thinks now that brandy has a child of her own it will be easier.
DISCLAIMER: this is just a theory but the part about brandy having a baby bump is true unless she had just gained some weight.
Tbh I kinda doubt they'll move, for 3 reasons.
1. There are way too many toys and attractions of the current house.
2. They'd have to throw away so many frames and drawings of different perspectives in each room, not to mention the lighting and the hallways.
3. Like you said, it's way too iconic to throw away.

Also, from an animation budget standpoint, moving would be a NIGHTMARE as it would be all new backgrounds would be needed for every episode going forward.

Uuugghhhh…….. i would get annoyed if they didn’t move after making a massive deal out of it. It’s a really annoying kids show trope that always made me mad as a kid, cuz i moved several times as said kid and thought, just ONCE it’d be nice to have a character i like go through and deal with a new school, neighbourhood, losing friends and gaining new ones. It’s like saying “oop. Kids like you don’t matter or exist. Screw you!”
There is a chance they are moving Becuase bluey episodes have lessons for kids. Moving is something many people deal with, finding new friends and change. So they might just be telling all the kids watching it’s normal and okay to move and find new friends and for change to happen

FUN FACT- Actually They don't move. I watched the 50th episode of season 3 (Title: Surprise!) there is a scene where Bluey comes to the family home with HER KID and meets old chili and old bandit IN THE SAME HOUSE. Even Chili say "Could you believe Dad almost sold it!" If you don't believe me just wait until the episode is released.

I currently belive that The Sign will be the end of season 3. Becouse a seasons 1 & 2 have 52 episodes and The Sign will be the length of four episodes one migth consider it to be actually four episode in one trenchcoat. Season three currently has 48 eps. (Not including The Sign, since it's not out yet.) So, The Sign gets us up to 52. Also, It just makes sese. I know, there haven't been a Christmas related episode in S3 but do you really need one?
Also, I think they sold the Heeler house to Airbnb then they got it back... somehow. And that's why It appeared in pur reality. I guess.

I think it would be interesting if they were moving actually because current house/rent became too expensive, maybe the whole reveal episode will be themed around changes beyond our control *cough* economy going to shit *cough*
I honestly don’t know why the heelers would want to sell their house it’s actually seems to look like a really nice house, but as previously stated in season 2 in the episode hammerBarn. Chilli says things don’t last forever..and she was clearly talking about the house. But Bluey and Bingo seemed not that thrilled about selling the house because so many memories were made in that house. And it is hard to let things like that go. I am also sure chilli would have a hard time selling the house. Like how in the episode bedroom in season three, chilli had been seen having hard time saying goodbye to bluey’s old bedroom. So the whole family might have a hard time saying goodbye to there house because so many memories had been made there. So if so many memories had been made there and with all their friends and neighbors it would definitely be hard to leave. But that’s just my theory on it all!
The more I think about the idea of them moving, the more I kinda understand it. We already know there is going to be a long break between season 3 and 4 to help with the burnout the crew are feeling so them wanting to shake things up and kinda reimagine some stuff is not a far fetched possibility. Giving these first 3 seasons a bittersweet conclusion then when season 4 rolls around it’d still be recognisably Bluey yet also different in certain ways. You could almost look at it through the lens of the show attempting to subtly grow up with its audience especially with the characters already having aged since the show began.
I’m still split whether or not they’ll actually go through with it, but I can certainly see the thought process in potentially relocating the family.

I honestly have a feeling that they actually WON’T be moving out, and here’s why:
In some clips shown from various trailers for “The Sign”, if you put them together it composes a sequence of Bluey and Bingo hopping out of the car, running happily back into the house, and jumping and hugging each other (while all the furniture is still gone)
This will likely mean that Bandit and Chilli ended up changing their minds at the very last second before driving away
I may get hate for this but I don’t care about the new episode I only care about the fandom’s wildest moments that was the best part about my life. Oh I forgot that I’m making a fanfic about bluey because I’m taking a break from the Thomas fanfic the misery I started that almost 2 years ago. I hope bluey would move to USA, to visit me! Wait what. Maybe the episode supprise will be the future for season four. THOMAS X BLUEY. I hope you are having fun Hideaki.
