    i own one in Oz. Love it. Have started tinkering with mechanic jobs that i wouldn't dare do on other bikes. I mean i've always checked chain tension, tyre pressure, oil and washed my bikes.... but on this one i've pulled wheels off, changed tyres, changed exhaust, changed the oil, changed the handle bars , adjusted tappets , changed brake pads and added a fuel X lite... great bike to tinker with... and it rides easier than any other 250 - 500cc bike i've owned (10 or 11 other bikes)... 8000km love it...

    Great review! Every clock fogs up on every bike I've had. At 5'8, 80kg this bike fits really nice. Mine will be delivered in 3 days! Im taking the day off work to ride the back gravel roads on the West Coast around Raglan, NZ. I will try repositioning the mirrors under the bars like I did on my Harley 883.

    Great review Nick, they are great little machines, I have just completed a 4400 mile trip across Portugal and Spain over 8 weeks and the little 411 was the perfect companion (mine is a Himalayan, although it’s pretty much the same To be fair), just great little machines, it also averaged 85mpg across 30 fill ups!,keep em coming Nick

    One minor negative is it seems a tachometer would be far nicer than the navigation tripper. Really looking forward to trying this bike out.

    Great bike, nice gloves, good review. I like the Scram. During the '80s, I did four southern European trips from GB on an XT500, so a 411 is enough. I'd rather have a rev counter than the trip nav thing.

    Thanks nick for an informative ride n chat, I'm currently considering either the himalayan, the scram or maybe even a little hunter. The final decision may come down to how good a deal i can secure but i find all three bikes attractive to my needs, with a slight lean more to the him or scram due to the awful roads.

    • @nicksepisode
      @nicksepisode  6 місяців тому

      Hunter is more fun but less comfortable
      Himmy is better for longer trips
      Scram is the best for fun and distance

    It's really fun to see how much your presentation and editing skills have improved since I started subbing to you Nick. And really fun how you just love those small bikes for what they're worth.
    But I do miss Jodies solo adventures. Hope they'll be back in the future. Maybe have her make a similar video?

    Sold my 2022 KTM 390 Adv after 900 miles and picked up a Royal Enfield Hunter 350 last month. I love it! Even though I prefer classic looking bikes, I was seduced by all of the tech on the KTM. In the end it just always felt frantic. It just wanted to be reved constantly and wasn’t happy below 6000 rpm. I agree with you. The RE is better looking, has so much more character and is a joy to ride.

    I own the same color Scram here in India Completed 16,000kms . And the engine gets smother once you complete 10K. I fixed the navigation only for the reliable clock. The navigation is total crap. The halogen old school...... gives a better light throw in inclement weather conditions. Never faced issue with the instrumtation fogging during use in the rains. I got the main stand fitted as a after market accessory since it helps especially during service or you get a flat suggest you get one fitted if you are not into serious off roading.

      Hi both, £4500 buys a pretty good 2nd hand Jap machine. When I have tested this it’s not necessarily the top speed but lack of oomph for me. When the new one comes out I think these will fall in value as I believe a lot of owners will want the extra bit of poke. However remaining with air cooling is attractive if off roading or dropping. I think they are great bikes but so many better ones. Hope RE don’t get greedy with pricing which seems to be all manufacturers end up doing. Hyundai and kia cars are an example they were fab value but now almost premium. I have v strom650 and if this had 70 bhp I would be interested s I feel 70bhp is my own sweet spot for satisfaction. My biggest criticism is a pair of copycat triumph twin clocks would be so more attractive. Great vlog thanks. So many vloggers on RE now gotta say something.
