- So many choices right now for fishing. The Vedder Springs, beach fishing, trolling Ambleside.
But the gorgeous Capilano river has a 4 coho limit and I try to get it.
Thanks for picking us up at Hope Chris! Your videos are awesome keep it up!
hey!! Good to hear from you! That was great meeting you guys and driving to Oliver. We still have Joe's hat!
Nice channel sir!! its was great fishing with you yesturday... good luck on the season
Also great to meet you and your buddy! Oh boy, wait till I finish the video from yesterday. After I left that spot the canal was great!!
Thanks for showing me this. I'll be taking your spot before you next time.
just got back..you weren't there.
That's a pretty fast strip, I usually go a bit slower. Seems like you know what you're doing!
New sub, thanks for the content Chris!
thanks Connor!
I can’t imagine much being funner than fishing for salmon on a fly rod!!🎣🤠
you're right it's my favorite, some salt water coho action on the fly coming soon!!
Great video!!!
thanks!
Hay I’m planing on making a trip out to the cap some time soon should I fish the cable pools, what fly where you using and what colour
yes all the fish are in there right now. It's tough fishing because the water is so low.
@Chris's Vancouver fishing journal. It looks so easy but I know it's not. What's the length of the fly rod, it looks very short, 7' maybe?
thanks, it's a 9'6 though, I'm just tall!
Sick video man
Awesome video. What flies do you recommend for coho? I’m from the interior so just fish for pennask bows mainly
aeound the Cap We all use small leaches and wooly buggers. green.
Hi Kris, can you give me some details how to get here? I just live in east van, this seems pretty close to where i live!
Thanks for the great vid again Chris. You going to try the mouth anytime soon?
thanks big fish! I will soon, that's my favorite fishery but it's a 2 fish limit while the river is 4. Also going to find some biters on the Vedder soon.
got a killer video of fishing the mouth coming soon!
What fly where you using
What leader/line are you using? I used a floating line with a 12 ft and 5 ft 5ips leader and 3x 6lb mono tippet with a tiny green fly and never got anything :(
you need to get a full sink line. Type 7.
Hey man what do you recommend using on the vedder?
hey BA! Roe and only roe. Under a float, fish above the bottom 10 inches don't drag your lead. And 1 1/2 ft leader.
Is the fishing still good ?
I haven't gone in a while, the beach fishing is good.
@@bugpumper thanks I think I’m going to check that out in the next week or so
What fly were you using? I”m new to fly fishing
a small green wooly bugger.
@@bugpumper Superb footage and catching..one question please. “Small wholly Bugger” as in, size of a quarter, a looney, toonie or larger than that with the tail feathers? And with a bead head gold or silver? I guess that was 2 questions :) Thanks and keep the vids coming! Real local value!
@@secondlife5704 no bead head and a size 12. What's a 12,? maybe a nickel size?
@@bugpumper Thanks Chris..I tie a lot of flies..that is tiny counting the tail. Never would have thought. Cheers!
Size of an nickel that super tiny
This makes me want to try my hand with Coho! Nice angles on the video. Any chance you want to meet up and fish it and show me the ropes? New to Vancouver fly fisher, I've only been looking for trout so far but plan to hit Ambleside soon. Might need a sink tip for these pools though... Anyway no pressure just wanted to put it out there :)
When I know Im going again I'll get in touch with you.
@@bugpumper Cool sounds good, good luck fishing!
Was this recent?
last week.
The water is way too low
Not fishing from there. One slip down the rocks, you are a toast.
unless you can swim...it's sooo slow. We snorkle it to clean up gear.
