Charles Morgan should have his own tv programme, the production of these films is that good. Or just carry on asking him back as many times as he's free, the internet lacks content that's this good.

I saw my first one of these in an auto dealership in Houston, Texas in 1966. I was a boy in junior high. This car with its interesting front end stood out among the other cars sold there including a Mark 10 jaguar, and bunches of triumph and MG Sports cars I still prefer the original single headlight front end, but this is also so beautiful. Thank you so much!

    Now THAT'S luxury!
I think I've only seen 2 in my life - both in Los Angeles.
One of them was definitely an iconic experience: this must been either in the late 70s or early 80s & I was riding on my little motorcycle I think possibly going up Wilton Avenue (or somewhere in Hollywood close to Wilton) and we were traveling north, probably not far from Beverly Boulevard. We got to a stoplight and when I looked to my left and saw, driving one of these cars, the late great game show host, Jack Barry!
I remember he was wearing these classes down on his nose (maybe he was reading a newspaper at stop lights?) and I seem to recall waving at him a little, to which he gave me a little nod and maybe a small wave, but I got the idea that he got lots of attention all the time (he was quite famous nationally). He either had the Rolls-Royce or the Bentley edition - I'm leaning toward thinking it was the Rolls-Royce. But there was NO mistaking those slanted headlights - I always think of that as the "Jack Barry car."

What a change this styling was for Bentley back in the day! I found it to be shocking. Now, the style has held up very well, except for the sort of disconnect between the roundness of the front and the slab-sided, drawn out rear quarters. The tail light section lacks all grace...but THAT front and THAT interior and all the window glass.

Truly beautiful car, and expertly presented, thank you! As a teenage lad, mad keen on cars, I accompnied my mother to one of her chums parties. Our hostess had a new friend, who was "Something to do with cars", which interested me....
It was probably around 1963/4, since mum was driving the shiny new family car, a very, very early Lotus Cortina. I was swiftly introduced to 'Wim' who was a charming bloke, very knowledgeable indeed. He was asking what I thought of RR/Bentley models in comparison with similar class cars, and I went into full teen-nerd obsessive detail. To sum up, I told Vilhelm Koren that the only two cars in this class worth discussing were the S2 Continental Park Ward and the S3 which I had seen for the first time that month. I was about to elaborate that I was unsure whether I preferred the single headlight or dual headlight treatment when he told me his role in their design.
Did I mis-hear his name that day? I've been sure until this week that he was called "Wim", perhaps a nickname?
But he was a proper gent, very tolerant of a voluble kid who was determined to become an automotive engineer, and eventually did!

I wish this type of car will come back not only in the luxury segment but in lower priced cars as well.
We are facing the introduction of a new breed of noise and vibration free electric cars. This will be a golden opportunity to bring us cars which floats forward in serene comfort and isolation rather than racing down the Nurburgring!

As much as i see that these later bentlys had their iconic moments the only real bentlys that interest me are the pre-war W.O Bentlys. Really I think his true spirit lived on in the lagondas he engineered after the war. under RR ownership Bently became something totally different, no more brilliant engines land speed records or Indy 500 wins. Overall even if really i think Ettoire Bugatti the more interesting man and engineer overall W.O Bently must be considered one of the greats.

Lol 800hp AWD Bentley S3 Continental would be sick.

And do what to it that is currently lacking?

It needs just two things. Better brakes (the stock ones on the S3 are shockingly awful) and more power (200ish bhp in that big old boat just isn't enough). Otherwise, keep it as original as possible.

One silly error: Keith Richards' Continental, known as 'Blue Lena', was an S2, not an S3, as can clearly be seen in the photo of it. And, while he did go to the South of France in it, it was on the return journey that Anita Pallenberg, having dumped Brian Jones, accompanied him and the two fell in love.

I can't believe people dislike this car. But I suppose those people think a star is someone on a stage playing with a record player.

You SHOULD. It is ATrocious. The silly headlights and taillights would look bad even in a damned CHEVY, let alone a BENTLEY. Grow some good taste!

Undoubtedly a stunning car but surely the H J Mulliner Continental (the one Keith Richards had) was even more beautiful than this Park Ward example.

What a fun video. A delicious car travelling through the streets of London. I do hope you eventually managed to properly position in the interior door handles, which are pointing backwards in the video.
