I have studied Finance (CA, CMA, etc.) and worked for around 10 years in companies. I recently started a UA-cam channel on Finance & Economy. Trust me, delving into UA-cam, handling the camera, editing, and all related aspects was a completely new and the toughest experience for me. However, your channel along with few more has immensely helped me in this UA-cam journey so far. Thank you very much, and please keep up the good work!.❤👍
I would be interested in understanding why you prefer DaVinci Resolve over Final Cut Pro.... I've been using FCP for years and am still using it.... not sure the time to switch over would be worth it....
Final cut is for grandma… There is no comparison. It’s a joke compared to da Vinci resolve in every possible way. Once you learn da Vinci there is no going back. Every single major Hollywood movie you’ve ever sat through was probably color corrected in resolve. Yes it has a Learning curve, but so what? Challenge yourself. Once you learn it there’s no going back.
Nice video Justin, one question: I currently use Resolve on windows based systems and have the micro panel and speed editor. You mention this hardware as available for Mac. Is it the same hardware plug & play or would I need to buy Mac versions?
in most situation try to contact the software diveliper and and ask them if its okey if they wanne give you the Mac version? sometime they are okey with it because already paid full price for the product
Good morning - Great content, I am just getting started in learning video editing. Love the larger progress bar in your video, suggestions on how you did that?
I use LumaFusion on my iPad Pro and love it, it suits me fine, but looking at the Davinci Resolve looks really nice, and I’d like to test it out and learn it possibly soon. I use an iPad as my primary source of editing in general, I’m starting to run out of room on it though, I’m thinking of getting a new MacBook Pro though, just to have a little more power, and it looks like the Davinci R would work well on the Mac instead of buying the complicated Final Cut Pro. Any suggestions??
Hi Justin I've just bought a MacBook Pro, Is iMovie just as good as capcut for a beginner, I know there's a professional one for Mac, Final Cut Pro as you mentioned, great videos and very helpful, Steve
Hey Steve! Congrats on the new MacBook Pro! iMovie is fantastic for beginners, and it comes pre-installed. CapCut is solid too, but if you're eyeing more advanced features, Final Cut Pro is a powerhouse. - Hazel, PV Team
Thanks for this video! Do you have any additional tutorials for using Lumafusion on an iPad since your last one in Dec 2022? Have been using the basic functions but would love to learn more like adding graphics, moving titles, adding features like a subscribe button on the updated version
Thanks for the info. I’m new to video and don’t understand a lot. The only program I can get to open my Nikon Z9 H.265 files is iMovie. Will CapCut ? My free Davinci won’t. Thanks.
Is it safe to use the presupplied text, stickers, effects, transitions, filters and templates and not worry about copyright, or as you suggest is it better to use Motion Array instead?
Please share some wisdom! I have heard that the updated Davinci Resolve requires a newer computer with some advanced options. Lots of standard computers can't handle the software. Can you advise?
CapCut for Mac has too many lags and i have 2020 IMac but same problem happens with my friends who have the newest models of IMac so i’m in complete disagree.
Sorry to hear that, it’s run really well for both timeline performance and render times on every computer I’ve used it on. Absolutely flys on Mac M2. Hope you find something that works for you. Justin.
Justin… My name is Michelle Roesener, and I live in Decatur, Alabama. Do you know of a software that I can download for my MacBook Air for free that I can use to edit videos for UA-cam and that I can make several intro videos? This upcoming Saturday, August 24th, my friend is going to have her 15th birthday celebration and she will be in a liturgical dance that I choreographed. The liturgical dance will be filmed professionally by a videographer that I will upload to UA-cam to share with my dance teachers… I just don’t want one UA-cam video with an intro video of all my dance teacher’s names, my plan is to make several Intro and outro videos for my two dance teachers and use the liturgical dance that the videographer will film… I will appreciate your help with this issue!

It’s cool of you to take time from performing with Coldplay to make informative UA-cam videos
I was thinking the same exact thing! thanks Chris Martin! LOL

My favorite video editors! Great video! I’m working on a video for the best screen capture software for Mac now.
Love it!
Justin.
great video and advice, on both softwares, and true input. ( because many other SW reviews, are not always true. ) Thanks for the great work. ;-)

So good to see you . Your videos are always awesome. Capcut is not available in India . What about filmora ?
Justin, I see there’s someone complaining about lag on a 2020 Mac. Is this going to be similar to a 2019 Mac Pro 16g ram?

This is true it won’t let me download davinci on my 2012 iMac
A video demonstrating capcut would have been a good idea.!

How about PowerDirector 24 ?
Hello iam from India which tab is best for short film editing
I have tried Davinci Resolve weeks ago, sometimes blocking for no reason, especially, when i'm trying to cut a part from the video, i don't know why

I hate subscription models!
I tried Cap Cut and was unable to even trim a video then i tried VN was unable to even resize the VN window. 1,000 % useless
I’ve used both (desktop version on Mac) and didn’t have any issues
capcut wont duck audio or extend music files tho, like PP does with its audio tool
Is Screenflow no longer get a competitor?
Can the free version of CapCut mosaic in videos?
Oh my gosh; I'm still using iMovie... I'm almost afraid to change! Thanks for the info!
Me too. 😂
Hello. Your videos are great, great, I'm trying to do better.😊😊😊😊

Too bad that Apple blew up the awesome version of Final Cut Pro from years ago.
Can You Please Do A Tutorial On Corel VieoStudio
I’ll see what we can do.
Justin.
Has anyone tried filmora on ipad
Yes
capcut has terrible fps and p. it lags crazy
Davinchi won't open and adobe premiere pro won't even open. I have spent 20 hours trying to make these apps work. They are garbage.
