Thank you for this great overview. I use lumafusion for years and I love it. The only problem is, that the development speed is to slow - especially now. Still waiting for speed ramp for example
VN is great and my “go to” as an app but the desktop version is browser based and feels a lot less intuitive than on iPad. My only real gripe is that sometimes you have to watch that it doesn’t allow you to add a split clip effect or that adding in music after adding text completely throws out where you had originally placed the text. But once you work out an order of video production in VN it is very straightforward and easy 😅
iPad needs better file management and stronger desktop apps. But glad to see some very good video editors so far. I own LumaFusion and DaVinci Resolve. Can’t support the subscription based models
I’m starting to see what you mean. Recently just got a new iPad and it looks like it’s IOS system kinda battles out file space for certain editing apps.
I'm curious about your advice. Which would you recommend for a content producer like me, Final Cut Pro or Davinci Resolve? I want to pay for one of them and get the pro version. :))
For pubg gameplay videos which will be suitable i want professional level editing most powerful complete software after it no other apps is required. (please help) i have ipad pro m2
@@Uttmgaming I want to buy new ipad pro too but i don't know 8 gb ram is enough for luma and 4k60 long videos editing or 16 is required or totally ipad can't and mac will be needed?
11:46 make note, this will only work for “up to” 6th gen iPads as well. Just purchased a 9th gen iPad and it is not compatible. Reached out to apple and they said it is not available yet.
Are there any decent and affordable ones that DO NOT require to bleed out my money with subscriptions?? I don’t mind paying extra if edits and new stuff is added down the road (kinda like a DLC), but are there any that’s just a buy once and you have the program??
Hi! I have a question if anybody is able to answer. I used to have the desktop version of CapCut and I loved it but I switched to an iPad and it doesn’t allow me to use the desktop version, the problem is that I have an adapter that connects my SD to my iPad and CapCut does not let me edit the videos from the SD, I have to actually download them in my iPad and I don’t have that much space since it’s more than 50 gb what I need for every video, so is there a way to get a similar app or the same one on my iPad that will allow me to import videos from the SD card instead of directly from my iPad's gallery???
Thank you for this! I’m very new to content creation and just got an iPad. Looking forward to trying out VN editor and CapCut! Used on an iPhone 14plus before so I’m ready to see how it operates on IPad 10th Gen!

I just want a tool to edit my videos on ipad the easy parts that can be done on the go... and then continue editing the video on desktop (windows) the hard parts or more detailed, but seems like i cant find one :/
First off, great video! Keep them coming. After watching your video, I also agree that having fun while editing makes you more productive. I’m taking your advice and planning to install Final Cut Pro. Thank you!
I'm in the process of doing some application tutorial via screen recording but looking for a simple editor that can do callouts and zooming in into particular areas video to highlight some things/ a areas of the screen. which one editor gives me the easiest path to achieving this goal
Imperative that you point out every product developed by Chinese companies! Spyware, data theft, malware are all demanded by Chinese authorities. As an Aussie you are well aware of extent of Chinese malfeasance. Make sure your viewers are apprised of every Chinese app you review. Other than that, your vids are great, JB.👏🌟👍
Thank you for this very in depth well thought out video. I have all of them except VN…you are spot on that FCP is the most fun and intuitive for the iPad. Davinci Resolve is an absolute beast for everything. I have unlocked all the pages and do use a mouse and keyboard to edit… but it’s definitely a no brainer when I need to edit on the go. Thanks again for all of your hard work in this video. Much appreciated 👍
Thank u for the great video! Is there any option that I can purchase just once tho? Like cap cut, an app with an a intuitive interface, auto captions but just a 1 time payment? 🥹

I use the OSX app on my iMac and I’d say I can’t really think of any usability minuses.
So informative and concise. Thanks for helping us! :)

What did you choose ? I am thinking about Final Cut Pro and Davinci Resolve as well but don’t know which one should I choose
They got so much right on ipad FCP, but then dropped the ball on basics like color adjustment / white balance process.
External hard drive editing is the main one for me.
