Davinci Resolve is amazing, the hardware Available is top notch. Black Magic Keyboard ⌨️ with the jog wheel and function keys is a massive speed boost. The mini color panel is super precise and easy to grade with. Easily the best editing software for sure ❤
I just like a software that I can own for paying one time. I hate this monthly payment. Definitely gonna get DaVinci Resolve.

Can CapCut lock a PIP overlay video to the main video in the timeline? In the desktop (Mac) software, the overlay clip is not tracking with the main timeline during split & delete edits of the main timeiline (essentially trim edits). This will be a deal killer. I need to keep the two in sync. UPDATE MUCH LATER: OK, I figured out I can combine the overlay video with the main video into a compound clip, then split the compound clip, then delete the unwanted portion (a trimming maneuver), then undo the compound clip. That seems to work. But now when I am placing keyframes for the size/position of the main timeline clip, I find that I cannot move the keyframes. They are set in stone. I cannot drag the keyframes' timing to the left or the right. Even VN Editor can do this. So I am REALLY struggling with the fact that you are even recommending CapCut at all, when it does such a lousy job of dealing with overlay clips. They don't track to the main clip unless you combine them into a compound clip, which is unnecessary busy work just to find a "workaround" to a basic editing issue. Your recommendation of CapCut has seriously wasted and entire day of my life. If CapCut hadn't had overlay video capability, I wouldn't have spent more than 15 minutes on it after installing. If it hadn't offered keyframes, I wouldn't have wasted time on this software, because I need to be able to keyframe my clips.
Please make better video editing recommendations! Capcut doesn't even have any searchable documentation that I can find. If I wasn't familiar with FCP, I would be completely lost, because CapCut is obviously engineered to make its GUI look like FCP.

Can you recommend an app for the Ipad to edit 360 Video without connecting the X3 camera? I want to import the 360 videos from an SSD rather than take it from the camera. I always transfer to the SSD from the SD card from the camera. I want to use the Ipad for travelling rather than desktop.

New to apple. I downloaded the sound library. The installer is on screen. I ran through it but the files are not in davinci. Where do they go and how do I get them into the davinci app

Can I actually record videos on these platforms as well?
I'm struggling with software not letting me upload more than 1gb of video or 1 minute it seems. I don't know what to do, i try to cut it up, but cutting into 45 second segments is a lot of work and then when i try to add it back together its weird

DaVinci Resolve sounds really amazing. I’m currently on a paid subscription of Filmora but my issue is with their constant bugs.
Resolve will be a step up in terms of functionality, but also difficulty. Justin.

I have been editing for almost 20yrs and Sony Vegas Pro will always be my #1 favorite, however I don’t do PC anymore so I had been using Premier on mac, but I canceled my subscription. FCP is my only option now and I absolutely hate it!

that's because it's not free at all. it's a monthly subscription and if you're not paying, you are only using a demo version, which adds that watermark.

Davinci Resolve gets updated more often and it’s better optimised in my opinion
@@JTechWP How can Davinci Resolve be faster on Mac than FCP? Wouldn't that be technically impossible? FCP is native and optimized for Mac.
@@MrGheller I have FCPX and Resolve Studio, Black Magic are way more active in software development than the FCPX team. Resolve gets faster with each new update. Its been a while since FCPX got an update
