Pr is for pros, CAP cut is more for people who want something quick without understanding the processes that makes it happen. This isn;t to say Capcut is better. It is at certain things but Pr mops the floor with Capcut if you are at that level of production that requires serious tools. Needless to say, I use Pr and man Capcut has been fun for extremely quick edits.

yeah sure, if you're just starting out on youtube making 20-30 minute videos, CapCut is fine, but, later on when demand increases, or if you want to make really long videos, you will go to Resolve, guaranteed..

As somebody coming from FCPX and just learning Capcut... IT'S INSANE. Sheesh I understand why so many people use it now. Thank you for your video breaking this down. So many of these tools like removal, tracking, key framing, etc take SO much time in FCPX. Really stoked on Capcut to be honest.

Thanks, Man! Now I'm gonna have to try Capcut on my PC. I've only used it a couple times as a phone app. I normally use Davinci to start and then Time Bolt for pauses and then Camtasia for templates. But you make Capcut look really good! GREAT VIDEO.
Existing text burned in to the video would be pretty rough! Maybe AI can track and remove it. But to do it manually you'd need something like after effects. And it would be some work!

Amazing explanation. Can capcut automatically compile a video if i have multiple clips and audio files in my local library. I want capcut to detect audio timeline and transcript, and select appropriate clip curresponding to spoken words and place them to sync with audio.

It's apparently a location thing. I'm in South Africa and we don't have any Pro features and also very few Ai features. But thanks Trevor, a really great video!
Unfortunately, all features aren't available in all countries. I wish they were! Some have been able to get around it with a VPN, but it's hit and miss.

Hi Trevor, It seems to me that using Capcut on your mobile phone and desktop computer is a slightly different experience. The layout is different with buttons in different places and their may be other differences too I'm unaware of. Does your course teach both or which one does it focus on? Thank you.
Hi! Yes, CapCut for desktop and mobile are very different. My current course teaches only CapCut desktop. However, I may come out with a mobile course in the future.

It is! I don't know how capcut has licensed their music/videos and graphics, but I've made a lot of videos on Fair Use you can watch on my channel. Here's my guess: All the video clips are short. Still images will likely be on screen for a short period. Its seems the commercial/pop music isn't really availabe much in the desktop app. I'd personally worry about any of it zero perecent. I've never had an issue with CapCuts stuff. I've also used a ton of movie clips in my videos. If I keep em around 5 seconds, never an issue, not once. CapCuts music? To be safe, I'd keep it under 30 seconds if its music you've ever heard in your life, otherwise, I wouldn't worry. Capcut does have a copyright check feature, tho I've barely tried it. short answer: I wouldn't worry. i'd just use it, upload unlisted, and see if YT cares.
Being seeing alot of videos online and now they are making sense on how they are doing them with some of effects you show in this video. Adobe better level up their game soon as this makes it so easy to do some really neat tricks. Just out of curiosity can one purchase CapCut Pro outright or is it only subscription based like Adobe ?
Subscription based only. Kinda makes sense because they update it ALL the time. You can purchased a year in advance for cheaper than monthly. Pro not available in all countries yet.

3.4.0 on mac. It’s not available in all countries, and the version numbers are probably different for PC. Also make sure you’re on the desktop version, and not the online version.

Hey Cynthia! CapCut cannot record your screen. I use Camtasia to record my screen, but that's like $300. You can record your screen with quicktime, but there are audio limitations. Great video Trevor! For getting the text to appear behind me I was not able to move the text layer between the two video layers. Seems like maybe they made some changes and text layers can no longer be moved between two video layers. So I duplicated the video layer and moved it aside. Created a text layer above the main video. Selected the main video and text layer together and created a compound clip. And finally moved the duplicate video above the compound clip and used the background remover on it. And all good, the text then appears behind me. Again, thank you for your awesome and helpful videos!
IMG. Now I'm hooked on Capcut thanks to you! I've taken a lot of programs out of my workflow because of Capcut. I've even rebuilt my Camtasia motion graphics templates into Capcut. IT DOES SO MANY THINGS!!! It's crazy. I ended up getting the pro version. When is this new storyboard function going to be available? I mean is there anything it can't do?
I got the pro version but not seeing the A.I. Movement feature, Relight, and Image Enhacement under Video> Basic as shown in this video, weird. Checked and updated version as well. 😅
It'll be rough to do on your phone. There's a link in the description tho for an app that will let you download videos from the internet if you're on a computer! Once you the videos you want, you can just add them all into capcut - desktop, mobile or online - all will work fine!

Are you using bluetooth headphones? They can cause delay. Also, your Surface and Samsung need enought power, tho I don't know the exact requirements. You can also go into Settings > Performance and turn on Proxy if you're on CapCut Desktop.

CapCuts music? To be safe, I'd keep it under 30 seconds if its music you've ever heard in your life, otherwise, I wouldn't worry. Capcut does have a copyright check feature, tho I've barely tried it.

Being seeing alot of videos online and now they are making sense on how they are doing them with some of effects you show in this video. Adobe better level up their game soon as this makes it so easy to do some really neat tricks.

Subscription based only. Kinda makes sense because they update it ALL the time. You can purchased a year in advance for cheaper than monthly. Pro not available in all countries yet.

you mind telling us the version that you are using? because I don't see AI character option in my capcut I am using v2.5.0
3.4.0 on mac. It’s not available in all countries, and the version numbers are probably different for PC. Also make sure you’re on the desktop version, and not the online version.

Hey Cynthia! CapCut cannot record your screen. I use Camtasia to record my screen, but that's like $300. You can record your screen with quicktime, but there are audio limitations. This is so useful. Can you suggest the RAM capacity for a PC to ensure that Capcut works smoothly? Iam using desktop version.
For any editing app, I'd go 16GB or RAM MINIMUM. More is better. I have 64GB on my laptop.

I have the pro-version and I do not have tha AI Character option showing up at all on the toolbar. I can't find anything on the issue anywhere, either, but others have the same issue.

For getting the text to appear behind me I was not able to move the text layer between the two video layers. Seems like maybe they made some changes and text layers can no longer be moved between two video layers.
So I duplicated the video layer and moved it aside. Created a text layer above the main video. Selected the main video and text layer together and created a compound clip. And finally moved the duplicate video above the compound clip and used the background remover on it. And all good, the text then appears behind me.

IMG. Now I'm hooked on Capcut thanks to you! I've taken a lot of programs out of my workflow because of Capcut. I've even rebuilt my Camtasia motion graphics templates into Capcut. IT DOES SO MANY THINGS!!! It's crazy. I ended up getting the pro version. When is this new storyboard function going to be available? I mean is there anything it can't do?
I got the pro version but not seeing the A.I. Movement feature, Relight, and Image Enhacement under Video> Basic as shown in this video, weird. Checked and updated version as well. 😅

It'll be rough to do on your phone. There's a link in the description tho for an app that will let you download videos from the internet if you're on a computer! Once you the videos you want, you can just add them all into capcut - desktop, mobile or online - all will work fine!

You can use the mobile version of capcut and do most of this. Some features are only for desktop, and features vary by country.

Hi! Here's Mike from Italy! Very helpful video but I have a question: I am noticing some issues with audio files...They just don't synchro ..same issue on Smartphone App version...I have a Windows PC (Surface..) and a Samsing phone...Any advice? Thanks in advance 🤜🏾🤛🏻
Are you using bluetooth headphones? They can cause delay. Also, your Surface and Samsung need enought power, tho I don't know the exact requirements. You can also go into Settings > Performance and turn on Proxy if you're on CapCut Desktop.
