It was my company car, and it was a real pleasure to be able to meet Rob at Stafford on Monday evening. Accidents happen, and thankfully, no one was injured apart from pride. It will be as good as new in a few days and will be an absolute bargain for someone to buy. Lumbar support on the drivers seat, heated front seats, full main dealer service history, all recalls done. Thanks for being so complementary to me and Clare Rob.
i always love watching these guys , be awsome to meet them one day , iv learnt alot about car issues and repairs , thank u robb and chris .. awsome work
Hi Rob & Chris, A friend of mine started a new job as a lorry driver recently on his first trip out the boss rang him to see how things we’re going and he told the boss he had damaged the door mirror, so the boss said not to worry accident’s happen and asked how he broke the mirror. So the driver told him it broke when the lorry rolled over 😂🤫🤐🤭 Happy Christmas guys
Well it is almost Christmas. So instead of a pantomime you gave us Salvage Rebuilds on ice. A great heart warming festive episode. Thanks for keeping us entertained. Happy Christmas from Greece. Καλές γιορτές με υγεία και αγάπη
Rob, it's hard to even imagine how awful you felt when that happened. However, the way in which you are approaching this with Chris is a testament to your relationship, and partnership. It's an unfortunate mistake. I'm sure you are grateful that you are surrounded by such good friends and partners that make things like this more bearable. It really is a nice car!
Guys, great video and appreciate the honesty! If it makes you feel any better, I used to work for a Ford Main dealer back in the 1980's. We had a transporter deliver 6 brand new Y Reg Sierras for our Sierra Launch night. As they were unloaded off the transporter, we had to take them round the back of the workshops for a PDI before we put them in the showroom. I jumped in a 2.0Ghia in Diamond White, and thought what a fabulous car. Stuck it in reverse, straight back into the Car Rental Reception door and knocked it off its hinges! It can happen to anyone! :-(
Total respect for always being so genuine and honest. Even when it’s a little embarrassing. World would be a boring place if everything was perfect mate.
Hey Rob, dont beat yourself up over this, you and Chris are 100% good guys. To make an error is human, youve proved youre human. Hindsight is 20:20 vision. Brilliant channel, lovely people, keep up the good work.
Rob. We’ve all been there. I had a brand new car 2 years ago, I have a sloped driveway and it had snowed. I sensibly parked it at the top of the drive…2 hours later the car (on its own) slid down the drive and thumped through my gates….it happens! Keep going!
This type of video is exactly why we all enjoy watching the channel. Honesty, humour and a positive attitude ! Pleased youre both going to see a few quid back lads!
Accidents, happen Rob, proof what a great team yourself and Chris make. Fantastic content as always. Have a great Xmas both, have a cracking new year .
Things like this happen all over the world Rob, you did the right thing, smile and get on with it. We have all been there, so, good luck and blessins to you both.
These things happen, great to see Chris taking it so well & good to see you both smiling about it in the end. At least you've saved on demolition costs for the wall. All the best chaps 👍🏻
What a top bloke Ian is for offering you the car and then delivering it to you to help out. As others have said stuff happens but somebody will be getting a cracker of a car
We all felt your pain Rob, we’ve all done something similar and felt terrible about it, ultimately it’ll fixed and sold, no harm done. It’s brilliant to be so open and honest about it!
Could have have happened to anyone Rob so don't fret. Great to see the way you and Chris dealt with it. Such positivity and honesty! What a great friendship you guys have.
I watch all your videos guys, always leave a like but don’t often comment. Fair play to you Rob for sharing the full story and for keeping positive when you must of been sick inside. Chris continues to show the quality of his character through his reactions and fair treatment of you in all you do. Keep up the great work guys 🍻
Hi Rob and Chris it’s a freak accident and we are only human!!!Rob I think your favourite album is Pink Floyd’s The Wall lol love the channel and content keep up the good work gents 😀🏴
Hi guys, it happens mate, very tired, get home late, an ya dint like the wall anyway lol. Good on ya Chris, true teamwork you guys, love your channel, even more respect.
It happens Rob. You’ve also sent out a reminder to all rear wheel drive car owners that winter presents additional risks…winter tyres prep worth considering for some owners too. Glad you werent hurt though, That really would have been bad news
We have all been there! Glad you uploaded this one - what a legend Chris is and he is so right you guys are a team! At least you can laugh about it now Rob
Mistakes happen to all of us Rob! Keep doing what you do and best of luck getting it sorted. It’s still going to be a lovely car for someone, albeit they’ll have to wait a few more days 😊
I lost it on the ice today back end of my van went right I was lucky to control it! Been driving since I was 16 I'm 43 now and I've learnt from bad experiences in the past to keep calm, it doesn't matter we all mess up! At 20 I brought a Vauxhall astra off a forecourt took it home first day slipped o drive smashed the door in😁
Hi Rob & Chris, big shout out to Ian & his wife for meeting you & offering you guys the car, shame what has happen to the car but nothing major & as for the wall, you didn't like any way lol.
Oh Rob, I’m absolutely gutted for you in regards to that damage to the boot lid and the wall. These things happen, but it doesn’t make it feel any better.
Absolutely gutted for you. I've been driving over 25+ years and nothing. Last week in front of my boss who was helping me reverse my van out of the roller shutter I hit the steel upright. I felt gutted. Something I've done countless times since the van was new. But as my boss and Chris have both said. Accidents happen. And nobody was hurt which is the important thing. Keep up the good work.
Free hardcore 😂. But seriously, the reason why I watch your channel over brekky here in Perth Western Australia is your honesty and banter. Love the channel, and now even more with the two mics.
Accidents happen mate. Proves how good of a relationship you and Chris have. I drove into the corner of my house at about 15mph. Changed the brakes forgot to pump the pedal and started in gear. In a rush to the M.O.T 😂
It's a horrible feeling when you are just sliding on snow and ice and there's absolutely nothing you can do about it except wait to see what happens. Gutted for you both but that's life, it happens to the best. Chris is such a gent too. At least you'll make a little bit of profit out of it. Great content as usual guys, keep it up 👍
So gutting for you Rob but being positive you are ideally placed to repair the car and no structural damage so just remember Rob it was an accident So not your fault you did not know the ice was there so big respect for owning up many thanks for another entertaining video 😀
Could have cried for you Rob but you give us that million dollar smile and Chris was the top man his comes across as and understands it’s an accident/mistake and its all good. You two make your vids real for so many people, keep in your mistakes and honesty and we all like you both more for it 👍
Have a great big hug. It was an accident. Not stupidity like dopey here who got a new to me car, parked it next to a bollard (in a seaside car park) which was beneath the eye line. Struggled to get in and out of car, so I bloody knew it was there. Didn't stop me sitting in car later. Watched boats, turned on engine, went to pull out drive straight into bleeping bollard. Silver lining, beautiful new wall. Never know might get a deal from a subscriber. X
Rob glad you kept it in as shows how real you guys are,it's a bummer obviously but could have happened on the way home which would have been worse,I've gotta say I like the little spoiler on the boot, love Chris at the end saying if anyone wants any rubble🙈🤣good you'll still make a good profit aswell🙂👍
Here for the roast of Rob 😁 On the plus side you have Clare & Chris to sort your parking at home and at the yard 😁 Bit of bent metal and wall you didn't like, not a bad outcome. No one harmed and you and Chris are the men to sort it.
I can see you are obviously gutted Rob but the important thing is no one's been injured and the wall can be rebuilt as you want it this time. Thank you to you and Chris for all the videos, have a good Christmas and all the best for 2023 boys.
At least you are okay, these things happen and it could have been worse. Love Chris being pragmatic - "the best place ya could have hit it", that's the right mentality! Car will be grand in no time

Like you said getting stressed over it doesn’t change things, you just move on. Looking on the bright side at least it wasn’t the Gallardo!! Best wishes to you both.
Could have done with you a couple of months back when I had to knock a wall down out the front of my house! Seriously though, these things happen - you'll get the car sorted and it'll all be fine. Well done for putting this out there and not hiding away from it 👍
It's unfortunate what happened with the car but to be honest I'm glad you're okay and that it wasn't worse than that. Honestly, Chris is a good friend and he is the type of friend you keep for life because he was very understanding and supporting, which is exactly what you needed. As they say to error is human and to have people who acknowledge that is a blessing, continue being good to each other. PS I'm a huge fan of your work.😊🙌
Happens to the best of us,i pulled into a yard to deliver a package 2 yrs ago in a brand new sprinter van and as soon as I stopped and pulled the handbrake it started to slide back, nothing I could do but pray, unfortunately it didn't stop, ended up taking the whole side out of it down a wall before ending up in a ditch across the road, worse feeling ever knowing your helpless an nothing you can do
I scraped a newly resprayed in pearlescent black Corrado VR6 to buggery on my boss’s gatepost two days after I got it back from the paint shop. I feel your pain, Rob.
I guess BMW now stands for: Broke My Wall :P Seriously though Rob, it can happen to anyone, especially on ice, on a steep driveway. I'm glad it wasn't worse for you :) Keep safe
Hey Rob. Just take a few of those bricks, spray paint SRUK logo on them and sell them as merchandise until you get the money from fixing the car back. Easy ;) Great job as always !
We've all done it mate, nobody was hurt, just your pride has taken a small knock. Great content guys and like others are saying, respect for leaving it in.
Chris: "I'm a bit nervous about buying a straight car." Rob: "Yeah. I know, I'm bricking it." Sorry mate. Couldn't resist. I can only imagine how gutted you must have felt but you have a policy about being open and honest and the comments I've read reflect that. A great team who support each other. That alone is like gold these days. Stupid accidents happen. 👍👍
Respect guys. It's why I'm here loving each and every video. Warts and all. Both honest, fair, humble and an absolute pleasure to watch. Keep up the great content guys.
Rob no one was injured. The only thing hurting is your pride. I think we knew Chris would understand, he is a genuinely nice bloke. Cheers for the video 👍
Well done Rob, you've made me feel much better, I picked a new (to me) motorhome up and a couple of days later managed to try and demolish my drive wall with it! Oh well, that's life!
Barnes Wallace couldnt have done a better job! Accidents happen and you have to move on, even Chris can be seen smiling again. Nice to show what can happen. Happy Christmas.
If the fence wasn't there it could have been worse, anyway only a bootlid and bumper repair, no one injured. Merry Christmas to you all. Aussie Graham. 🌲🍻
Shit happens 😢 its all about how you recover and move on. Was just talking to my daughter in England yesterday about the snow. I don’t miss that one little bit as i live in Aus, and 32c days now 🥵🥵 Great vid, keep up the good work you both do 👍👍
I so love the way Chris is so supportive - could have been a quarter panel and light. You gents are a legendary team as always. Good luck on the sale when it's ready - lovely motor for someone there.
Thanks again Rob and Chris. Another totally honest video. Your attitude was spot on for me. Sorry it happened but you made the best it. When I was a youngster I lost a Hillman Imp on ice and went backwards into a wall! These things happen.
You wouldn’t get to do the bulk of your work without other peoples accidents, admire your honesty and great relationship between you and Chris. Look forward to next years output!
You are too honest not to show your minor dink and I, for one, applaud you for it. At least you weren’t hurt or anyone else for that matter. Your pride probably has a bigger dent. Keep ‘em coming.
Wall meet again don't know were don't know when . Oh dear Rob. Still a good vid pal . Hope you and Chris and your families have a lovely Christmas and up the rebuilds forever 👍

There should be more Ian Simms in this world, a genuine top bloke, an what a lovely car, looks mint, I hope to buy it, when it pops up on Instagram..

I admire your honesty, Rob, and once again, Chris shows us the true gentleman he is. You make a great team, so keep up the great work and videos.
I always call them the dream team, great mates, and work brilliant together. A top combination.
@@andynightingale7335 exactly, and people you would trust to buy from as their work is excellent and nothing is left to chance.
If there were no accidents Rob, you’d be out of business! Glad you included the accident, just a reminder how honest and decent you guys are 👍
Now that is true... I hadn't thought of that before
Well it is almost Christmas. So instead of a pantomime you gave us Salvage Rebuilds on ice. A great heart warming festive episode. Thanks for keeping us entertained. Happy Christmas from Greece. Καλές γιορτές με υγεία και αγάπη
Rob. The man who never made a mistake, never made anything. Love the videos. 👍
Made a dam good job of the wall. Might ask you to come knock mine down in the new year…. Bring the beemer 😂😂
Never fixed anything either 🤣
That's exactly what my mum used to tell us 👍 no harm done and the ugly wall dealt with 😄
@@craig5820 what a daft thing to say
@@sruk I think he was just saying you can’t fix things without making mistakes as well. Why was it daft

"I'm not angry about that wall at all" That has made my day 😆
You've just reminded us how easily accidents happen. Don't beat yourself up, thanks for the humble honesty guys, great video. Thank you.
