Rob , I'm sure that your dog has had a very happy life , you and Claire are really good people, I feel for you and you and Claire need to spend as much time with him as you can Brilliant job that you and Chris did with that Volvo and you deserve every penny that you make out of it Can't wait to see what little jess Chris brought back from the auction the other day Love to Claire and you , and your little doggie too ❤
Worth mentioning Rob . I have a xc60 with that 2.4 d engine. These suffer terribly with rising oil levels due to regeneration. I was told by my Volvo dealer that they no longer put the full 6ltrs or so of oil in these. They reduced it to 4.5 Ltrs as the cars could not go the full 12 months to the next service without change oil warning coming up on the dash.
I thought it was raining Volvos it’s been a while. When you don’t rush the end product is much more reliable. I let out a cheer when it started too. Thanks Gentlemen. Rob I know your hurting along with your wife and your dog. ❤️love you all your in my prayers and thoughts.
Bought it in March! That one took a while to complete.....but got there in the end and many more miles left in that car - well done guys. Rob, I hope the dog is feeling better soon and PLEASE do a quick walkaround on the Porsche (after the new paint) to show us before it goes to the new owner - thanks
Hope the dog's isn't suffering too much Rob. Don't care what anybody says, they're family and its hard on everybody involved when they're struggling. 💜
Plus one for Josh and Andy, following your evoque repairs by them they have done some great work on my evoque en though I travel 90 miles to them it well worth it. Great service
For a 62 plate diesel she is purring like she just came from the dealer. So quiet. Regardless of little prangs, that's an engine that'll take her into another 10 or more years. Well worth the money. Lovely job gentlemen, you got some salts of the Earth amongst you helping you out that's for sure.
Be great to get updates when you guys sell a car. Give us some idea of whether they just sold immediately (maybe they all do?) or whether some take a little while to find a buyer. Would make for a interesting little slot in the videos I reckon.
@@sruk yeh, that doesn't surprise me given the effort you guys put in, to be fair. They're always gonna bi in demand. Wouldn't be much of a story for us then... car gets offered, car gets sold 😂
Don’t apologise for your little hound. All dog owners know how much they are part of the family. Unconditional love…our thoughts are with you and Claire. 😢
The start of the video was a precursor to another classic Rob and Chris show. Rob excited about what was Chris up tp etc and then the look on Chris's face, two friends enjoying each others company and getting the job done! It's secondary that the car actually started, Chris would've come up with another solution completely unflappable, but yesssss it was another gooddun! Yes I noted that the number crunching didn't happen but felt sure it would end being a bargain buy for some-one.Keep up the good work guys, great viewing!
Hello BOTH!! Well, what a reaction from you Rob when you opened the garage door and saw Chris with the engine in!! Then how you both were just so pleased and relived when the engine started up = good runner!! Wonderful to see this car running with a new MOT too! Best wishes from Lincolnshire
nice bit of honesty there, we all could do with a bit of help now + again sometimes at work, i wish i had a josh... but i don't think his rates would wash with my gaffer... keep it up chaps
Thank you for another of your successful projects. I like how you are realistic as to the time lines when doing this work, your professionalism, honesty, quality, skills and the great friendship you two have. I have been watching you for about a year and a half and love it when a new episode is posted.
I've got an XC60 D5 SE Lux Nav that's the same age. Love it. I paid about the same for it 12 months ago but with 121k miles on it, so with that low milage it's a great price.
Absolutely brilliant as always!! Thank you both very much 👌 I’m so sorry to hear about your dog mate. Sending you & Claire love & best wishes. My thoughts are with you both. Very well done Josh too 👌
Poor eardrums but hearing the elation in both your voices when it turned over was palpable. What a challenge this one has been. As an XC60 D5 AWD owner these are a but tappety and noisy, they settle down when warm. I've shared the videos with a few friends in the club's if this and the newer V60, well done sticking with it. This will make a great work huh orse family motor for someone
Rob Sorrey about your dog a car is a car but a dog is part of a family and a man's best friend hope he/she will get better i love cars but I love my bulldog more regards to Chris a true car nut so much talent.
Great vid lads. A see a couple or channels are running the car vertical cut in along side timelapse/ short vid section to keep people from skipping past the advert. Food for thought for engagement
if you pour like most people with the bottle tall, theres no air flow, so it gulps air whilst dumping fluid, turn it sideways as you said you created a large void at the top of the bottle allowing the air and fluid to enter / exit in a controlled maner.
Fantastic to see the mighty Volvo running again 👍🏻 you'll do very well out of this and someone will get a bargain. I wish I had the money 😅 plus, we need more fistbumps between you pair! 👊🏻 😂
Nice to see this one through! A couple loose ends, though: 1) Did you find a home for that last bolt? 2) How did Josh help with this one? I hope you are having a good weekend!
Interesting that even as 'professionals' you suffer the same as the rest of us. Finding where bolts go, frustrations and awkward work. Well done that you both always talk it through, seek help where necessary and just keep going. Well done.
Hi rob and Chris great video, hope you're wee dog ok, the volvo sounds great, good luck with selling it from marty in Belfast northern Ireland God bless
Love this generation of the XC60. Great cars. We didn’t get the diesel version here in the states but the T5 2.5 and T6 3.2 were awesome cars. Great looking and comfortable.
15:31 Oooh Rob you look so elegant with your little pinkie out like that 😘, and to say 5 minutes ago you were up to your armpits in grease! Just bought one of your beanie hats pal, love the vids, cheers!
Great job guys that is going to make a nice car for someone. Glad everything went well on the rebuild and the running . Look forward to your next video. Hope your dog is going to be okay Rob.

Hello Rob and Chris, the Volvo did sound great and it will be a good buy. Sorry to hear about your dog. Thank you for taking the time to upload another video. Ged.
Great work guys, well done, what model of Autel diagnostic tool is that and does it do winding back calipers etc. Not a mechanic but work on my own cars and clear/read codes for mates. Have a snap modis ultra but fails to read now, bought another without software but snap on refuse to transfer the software from the non working one to the other one.
Thanks for this conclusion of a difficult project for you both. Josh just proves that sometimes we all need an expert to get us over a problem, the important thing is acknowledging when you need that expert. Great stuff again😃😄😁
Sorry to hear about your dog mate, we’ve just rehomed a German shepherd from dogs trust called Kai. The Volvo has turned out lovely they are brilliant cars.
Mint video 📹 fellas 👌 shout out to josh and the 2 ians they are very good contacts and go to blokes. This has come back to life good 👍 not bad for it's age take care fellas and stay lucky and healthy have a great weekend, looking forward to Wednesday's video 📹 already. 😊
Thats been a long time coming Rob.sounds good though. Its took time to get there with the volvo but as usual you and Chris have smashed it out the park.👍🏻
Really sorry 😢 to hear about your dog Rob, they are and always will be more than just a dog, part of the family, when it’s time to say goodbye just remember all of the good times and happy memories you had ❤
Couldn’t not leave a message about the poorly pet, Rob I hope he gets well soon they’re normally strong and you have to keep strong too 😊 Lovely car there well done
At the front of the engine right at the very bottom is a little dipstick. I had a 60reg S60 nightmare filling it up with oil. You have to not fill it up to maximum. As daft as it sounds.
Unfortunately I have missed the numbers section on this one not sure what happened there. The car will be on instagram tomorrow.

It’s a diesel
