Hi Ryan great videos keep uploading them we are not too old to learn. I worked for a motoring organization for 25 years and on one of the courses we attended we were told to always check oil levels, coolant levels etc. Another test we were told to do was always check batteries, the connections both live and earth, we had a battery analyser to test the battery under load so that we could rule out a faulty battery, made diagnosing really simple. Learning a lot from your videos even though I have been retired 10 years now.👍
All problems I’ve ever had with Mk 7s have been bad earths on the top of the front mudguard underneath the fuse box under the bonnet. This also causes problems with the main batteries 👍
I remember working on a CDL system in East Kilbride, (Polar Bears wear fur coats here) Couldn't get my hands to work, nearly frozen stiff. I feel your pain in the winter.🥶
@@mrautoservices7354 great stuff.... love the videos. Am old school mechanic, was brought up on plugs and points lol. Has moved on so much. But love the way you explain things and try to pass that knowledge on to other.. keep it up 👍🏻👻
Nice fix. I think some Transits also have a common fault with battery drain around the fuse box, had that with mine. Great vans though. Thanks very much
@@mrautoservices7354 Thanks for that. Currently on the all data trial but finding a lot missing. Was gonna try autodata too, and HGS, just waiting on Hella to reply.
If you want to others see this video, when they come across thiss isue, you need to name the video (car, year, issue). So whoever is searching this can find it.
Hope you had your Scotch poridge oats that morning, from your breath on camera you looked cold to the bone. I for one appreciate the extra effort required ,to explain the path you take to find the fix required
GOOD VIDEO RYAN JUST SUBSCRIBED TO YOUR CHANNEL WHAT DO YOU THING OF THE TOPDON XLINK YOU THINK ITS BETTER RYAN THAN THE TOPDON PHOENIX PLUS 2 YOU NEED TO GET A DIESEL HEATER MATE OFF EBAY THERE CHEAP ENOUGH THERE GOT BLUE TOOTH ON 😊
It becomes a modification and insurance companies won't pay you a penny if they don't know you have stuck a cheap Chinese heater in the van and it catches fire . They get a claim the first thing they look for is a reason not to pay out the claim . They do sverything short of peering up your khyber with a miners lamp .The second thing is offering you nothing like the true value of your vehicle after they have exhausted everything going to not pay out .
@@MrFrankGallagherThat’s the reason I had an Eberspacher diesel heater fitted in our VW T5 camper van it’s CE certified and professionally fitted by the main agent locally, I’ve had enough experience of insurance companies to know that they wouldn’t pay out if a non CE certified heater had been fitted by Fred in a shed !
@mrautoservices7354 what more important? The van will benefit and so will you.and the next owner. Wish my van had a diesel heater heater already fitted.

Is it just HGS you use? Im trying to decide which to get for my business
Hgs mostly, All data is great for component locations etc 👍
Hgs is best for wiring diagrams in my opinion
