I’ve just had my ford focus 2012 recovered today. Car won’t start as it says “engine malfunction service now” + my radio doesn’t work but the display does. Garage has said that my battery has been completely drained by something and they’ve had to hook a second one up to work on the car. So far no update on it!. I’ve heard many possibilities what it could be … even the ECU panel or relay or sensors!. It’s a needle in a hay stack. I just hope mine gets sorted and isn’t going to cost a bomb!

Bob on job. Why bin a bcm that's 95 percent usable minus some relays. It'd be binned and replaced with a part just as vulnerable in time.

Had the same issue. A few weeks later, turned out to be the electric steering rack motor!

Excellent Ryan.. Learned a few things from you here for sure. Pity about EV's.. If they'd have waited for the battery technology to catch up that was lighter and gave more miles per charge it would have worked for most private motorists. As it is Hybrid's are the only real option as things stand.

i used to always scan a car when i was mobile back in the day and take a report . not saying you get dodgy customers but i have had one or 2 saying “ well it was not like that until you touched it “ well i am afraid it was sir 🤪🤪🤪

Great to see you fixing the box rather than just box changing, when you know what you are doing do it . That customer is going to mighty impressed with the savings and will tell other folk and you are going to get busier and busier ;)
