I'm down almost 70lbs, 50 more to go. I was at 355lbs, now at 287lbs. My goal is 235lbs. It's been 11 months since I have started changing things, but praise the Lord things are going good.
@@yungkaos3500 I don't have instagram but i will share with you what i Have done. First I am not on a diet. I simply changed my lifestyle so that this will be sustainable. I follow mediterranean guidlines. Plenty of vegetables and fruit. Probably 2 servings of vegetables to 1 serving of fruit. Fruit has lots of sugar so be careful, and NO FRUIT JUICE EVER! I eat whole wheat grains, and if i do occasionaly eat pasta it has to be whole wheat pasta. Try to get away from refined carbs and limit them, not completly but defitnetly limit them to 100grams or less a day. Like I said plenty of veggies, carrots, peas, broccoli, asparagus, spinach, etc.. Green lentils are great too. I drink 3 cups of green tea with lemon juice per day. I eat either salmon or sardines 2-3 days a week, boneless skinless chicken 1-2 days a week, and red meat probably once every 2 weeks. Always keep in mind PORTION CONTROL!!! Don't eat until you are full, if you have you have eaten too much. I also sprinkle tobasco sauce on my food to speed up my metabolism a bit. Because of covid I have not been able to go to the gym at all through this so it's going pretty good. I seemed to plateau a few weeks ago and the pounds stopped coming off completly, so i started intermitten fasting. I only eat from 12 noon to 6 p.m. No breakfast, just lunch, a small snack a couple hours later, and supper at 5:30. The only thing that goes into my body until noon the next day is water, so I essentially fast for 18 hours a day, and I feel great, actually have more energy than before, and don't feel the need for an afternoon nap anymore. Anyways that broke the plateau, and i have lost almost 10 more pounds on intermitten fasting in the last 2 weeks.. If i could get to the gym I could lose even more. I hope this helps, and if you have any more questions I will try to answer them for you. You will be surrounded by "experts" who will tell you that you are doing things wrong, just stick to your guns, and what works for you. Thats what I did, and they can all choke on the now almost 80lbs I have lost. Funny, I don't hear from them anymore lol. You can do this, just don't give up, and use the internet for good info, and come up with a sustainable plan for you that will work long term. Remember, YOU CAN DO THIS, just don't give up, even when you feel it's not working.
@@dragoslav3859 I have lost 82. Started with sugar and carbs reduction/elimination. This is the key! Get rid of sugar or constantly monitor the grams you ingest. Lots of water. PORTION CONTROL!!!! Portion Control!! That's it.
I always thought I was only 20lbs overweight until I lost 20lbs. Then I figured out that I needed to lose another 20. Down 30lbs in 4 months. Still working on it.
@@user-vr4sc8dh5t at this point I'm maintaining and I'm pretty happy. I haven't been fasting and I've cut down on working out to only three times a week instead of four.
I just started a month ago. I was 345 pounds and my sugar was 365. Today I’m 318 (I thought the scale was broken but my wife checked it 3 times). My sugar now is 115. I’m intermittent fasting 20:4 and keto diet. My goal is 200 lbs and reverse my diabetes forever. Thank you Doc!

@@EmoGworl. You would be very surprised, in less than a week my body was burning fat instead of carbs and it just stopped being hungry. There's a lot to do with insulin and how it affects your hunger, but basically 20:4 was wayyy easier to do than it sounds. I moved to OMAD after only a short period of 20:4. It's absolutely exhilarating to look at the scale every day and see you've lost almost a pound in 24 hours, pretty much every day. You should try it out!
You can dot. I was nearly 400lbs. I have used the info from Dr. Berry to radically change my blood chemistry. I have only lost 35 pounds so far but I feel so much better.
Yes Dr. I Love you. Because you have a ❤, to help all people. Knowledge should be shared. Some of us people as much as we work cant afford to do that extra spending. Some get depress and only wish to get the help. God Bless you for helping us. And keep up the Good deeds.
She is really behind the times. In the 80's they were pushing low fat, big time. It's sad because people were trying to do right thing with the stupid diet and working themselves to death exercising. Any weight loss wasn't sustainable. The keto diet does what it promises and your health will greatly improve...mentally and physically. It upsets me that they had it so wrong for so long!
Last year I lost around 43 pounds thanks to videos like this. As a teenager it's not the easiest to change your diet when you have a family that isn't dieting. I convinced my mom to start dieting with me again and we're combined over 60 pounds lost in total. I just wanted to say thank you for showing me what to do and how to do it.
I've been on every diet known to man. Even after gastric bypass, still my weight starts with a 5. I'd piss on a sparkplug at this point to help. Disabled guy needs a miracle.
64lbs in 4 months. Lazy keto + IF, 1 month. Clean keto + OMAD 3 months. Threw out heart meds and statins. No longer slave to my refrigerator. Cardiologist was intrigued by how quickly my body, blood, and heart healed itself so quickly. Thanks Dr. Berry. Subscriber/Promoter for life.
10 years ago, at age 57, I was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer. It was a death sentence, or so we thought. But it had not spread and I had one of my upper lobes removed. Over the last 10 years, I have gained 60 pounds. I was very athletic, loved to ski, scuba dive, hike, ride my bike, and any thing to keep me going. Then the cancer came and with that the brakes on my activity because of my breathing problems now. I am miserable being obese and I want to get back to my old self. You are giving me hope. It’s up to me. Wish me luck.
People, this doctor is speaking truth. I am a living testimony. I'm living a keto lifestyle, and it's the best. My health hasn't been this good in years. 😀Praise the Lord Jesus Christ!☺️
Notoriously Irritable What Jesus did was to die for you so that you could have everlasting life!! Believe it or not...that’s your choice. Burn in hell or have everlasting life .. your choice. I will not respond to anything more you will reply to this because I don’t want to hear anything more you have to say. So don’t bother to reply to the truth of what I have told you.
TRUST this man folks! I'm so thankful I found your channel Dr Berry! I started my whole family on keto about 3 weeks ago, after binge watching your videos. My husband [a type2 diabetic] has lost 35 lbs & hasn't had to use insulin in weeks! I have lost 17 lbs so far. THANK YOU DR BERRY ❤
Having my doc write “obese” in my medical record shocked me into beginning my journey to better health. Was 175 at 5’2” and I don’t know what I weigh now, but my clothes are getting too large for me. It’s been about four weeks and I feel so much better.
36 yo, 5' 8", I was 530 pounds last January. I've lost 190 pounds as of last week and I did it by making sure I was in a calorie deficit. Still have a lot of work to do but I got here by watching calorie intake.
I started by fasting for 72 hours straight, just drinking water and black coffee to get rid of as much glycogen as possible. Then I went onto a 18/6 keto eating routine, 2 meals a day. 1 at 11 or 12 then again at 5pm. I lost 47lbs in the space of 5 months. Some days I cheated close to the 4-5 month period, had a beer or had a pizza but it worked. I knew when I cheated I could just adjust and fast a day. But you learn to listen to your body and what you put in it.
I have been on keto for the past 6 months. During that time I added intermittent fasting after watching Dr. Berry then I added portion control and 1 tbsp of vinegar every morning. I am happy to report that I have lost 103 pounds as of January. Thanks Dr. Berry for the helpful info in your videos
I lost 60 in 9 months. After 2 years maintaining the loss while on Keto lost another 15. Now 4 years Keto and maintaining. First time in my life (began at age 59) I have not only lost a significant amount of weight but have maintained the loss. Keto for life!
As a nurse I really commend you for spreading such great information and explaining it so everyone can understand what you’re saying. I work in an industry that’s about money so they push drugs rather than curing what’s going on. Great job my friend 😃
An insurance company called me up asking why I don't go to doctors. They even recorded me. I told them doctors don't know what they are doing. That is the best I have got, unless you want to hear about all the doctors I have been to that ignore my 100 pounds overweight and swollen legs and round red circles on my stomach. And that has been for 30 years. Last 12 years I have lost the cartilage between my leg and hip bones. I read that eating a lot of cooked foods did that. Cooking damages enzymes. A lot of foods turn acidic when cooked. Plus animals are acidic. People have to keep a 7.4 Ph level. Our bodies strive for this number. Breathing the acidic air and drinking acidic water counts. And I read that a lot of medicines are acidic. So I don't see how anyone can eat animals and their by products. I love bacon and fatty meats. I pretend that ibuprofen is a placebo that heals me, so no adverse reactions yet.
I am getting ready to turn 68. I started a no-carb "diet" on Friday, weighed in at 280. Trying to follow many of Dr. Berry's tips. My goal is to lose 75 lbs.. I'll report back later.
Well...It's been a week and I have to say that I have lost weight. But, I was expecting a little more than 5 pounds, given the extreme to which I have changed. I would call my diet mostly ketovore, as I have virtually eliminated carbohydrates and tried sticking with many of the recommendations I have seen in these videos. I have also been intermittent fasting after the evening meal until about noon the next day. So, eating just two meals. I quit taking my daily fexofenadine and I have been taking Trim Life KETO twice a day (I know that is not on Dr. Berry's list anywhere). 275
Congratulations! I'm 55 and started keto 10 days ago and I feel wonderful most of the time, I'm still having some keto flu symptoms but I can't believe how much better I feel, my knees use to hurt so bad when walking down my stairs and 2 days ago all the pain is gone! I weighed 215 at the beginning and I have no way to weigh myself, so I will have to wait about 4 weeks and go back to the doctor, but I can tell my stomach has went down A LOT, I know it's probably mostly water weight but I should be losing the fat in no time at all. This way of eating has changed my life!!! I want to get down to at least 160. 👍💕
I hope ur doing well… I am 62 and hope to lose 100 pounds…. I fast and am doing carnivore… I love it! I never feel hungry and sugar cravings are gone. Hoping to get to 150… will see…
@@tonowhoopo she was mad about the five pounds and probably gave up. Ive lost 27lbs in three weeks so far by fasting, and in between fasts i eat less carbs but can still improve. Im looking to lose about 60 more. Im not giving up tho, this is for my mental health bc i waS ready to jump
The one thing I have found with the keto diet (which works incredibly well) is that it's honestly all mental, once you decide to be serious about finally putting down the sweets, breads, cakes, pop, fast food and see the weight melting off of your body, it keeps you focused much better. Stay mentally tough when dieting and you will definitely lose that weight! We are all in the same battle to lose some LB's .....let's get to it and all live a longer life!
After a while without so many carbs you realize the carbs entice more eating. By eating substantial meals and avoiding carbs it does get physically easier. Still need discipline but not eating carbs for 30% of your calories helps me tremendously.
I believe you right I started in sep 2 watching what I ate sweet etc now in November 2 I weight 137 not starving just eating healthy at the right times!! I’m 5 2 56 this week 🤣so hopefully I can do a little bit more .
@@sunshinehaydeeify It's incredible how much sugar is in everything. Those little juice boxes we all drank at school have 20-30 grams of sugar each.. No wonder everyone is fat lol
When I ate a typical American diet, if I had a craving for something, it wouldn’t gov away until I had it. Now, only 2 weeks strict carnivore, when I had a craving, I realized I wasn’t hungry so the “craving” would go away quickly. Amazing! And thank you for mentioning its mental. You really have to be in a place where you’ve tried everything and nothing worked bc well, nothing else does work.
My doctor dismisses every issue I have lol seem like he wants me to stay feeling like shit sometimes. Good thing UA-cam has all this information available..
Doc, I started my Keto plan five weeks ago, I was over 300lbs...I have no idea how much I weight I've lost since I started, but I can assure you my clothes is beginning to loosen, energy level is off the roof, kidneys feeling better, breathing's improved, and the inflammation throughout my body has either subsided or gone away completely. This is not a diet, it's a change in life. The positive physical changes due to keto nutrition and intermittent fasting is saving my life....God Bless you doc....
These are the two that got me started. 30 pounds since the day after Thanksgiving. I've hit a roadblock and can't seem to go lower. I was thinking I'm getting too much protein.
@@daviddavid9837 Yes, keep evaluating your diet. Use an online calculator to figure out how much protein to eat per day and keep it to that. With EACH meal, consider it a dose of medicine, and make sure it's 75% fat calories. If these 2 things don't work, start introducing intermittent fasting or 2-4 day stretches of reduced calories and going back to regular full diet on other days so you don't accidentally reduce your base metabolic rate. CONGRATULATIONS on your 30# loss! Keep at it ... you'll break the spell and continue to lose!
@@firthmirth4177 Thanks so much for the suggestions and encouragement! Dieting and weight loss can be such a lonely road. So much a part of the dieter's life, so little interest to anyone else.
I'm a retired RN and I agree with Alejandra, below, that the common sense being broadcast in your videos is a 'breath of fresh air' and a relief to hear. I am 5'4" and have lost 20 lbs from a high of just under 200 lbs. I will be 70 in 9 months and my goal is to get down to a healthy weight (?130 lbs with my small frame) and start dancing again by my 70th birthday. After 5 weeks on the Keto diet, I have lost just over 10 lbs but the amazing thing is that my headaches, nausea, itchy, dry skin with chronic, non-healing blemishes and red, hot feet and hands have just cleared up as if by magic. Also completely resolved are my low-blood-sugar shakes and sweats - and I don't get hungry. I am fairly sure that stopping all grains and non-fermented dairy was a significant part of my problems. I didn't know about Ketorade when I started and ground my teeth in my sleep so badly that I bruised a tooth bed, so blended my food for a couple of days to give it a rest, reduce pain and promote healing. The end result of that was to find myself eating only once a day. Nobody is more surprised than I am that OMAD Keto can support a relatively busy life, more restful sleep, improved recovery from fatigue, a clearer thinking mind and a more positive outlook. I am probably just having 'teething problems' but find that I overeat at my one meal, past the time when I feel full, because I know that that will be all the nutrition my body will get for 24 hours. Aside from the Ketorade, I take a multi-vitamin (for over 50s), B complex (methylated B12 and folic acid), PreserVision (for very early AMD (Adult Macular Degeneration), D3 (3Kiu) with K2 and 'Innate Choice omega sufficiency'. Am I getting enough nutrition per day or per week to continue on this way for a few months? I had a great GP who moved away 3 years ago and haven't found one yet who is unlikely to treat me like a crazy food-averse nut case. I don't suppose you would be interested in moving to the North Shore of Vancouver BC: you can golf in the morning, ski in the afternoon and go sailing into the sunset... Thank you for your fine work.
When I found your channel, I was depressed and didn't want to wake up in the mornings. I weighed 247 pounds and nothing was working. Thanks to understanding the intermittent fasting, in the last 4 months I have lost over 30 pounds and still going. The Depression is much less and I'm starting to look forward to every day. Low carbs, lots of veggies, and healthy meat (mostly fish and chicken). I fast 17 hours a day. I've gone from 3XL to XL. I know...I'm still fat but not as fat as I was 4 months ago. My A1C is under 6.7. Do I cheat? Yes. Every Friday is my free day. However, I'm finding my free days conform more and more to the changes I've made. I don't miss the junk. I don't have an out of control sweet tooth. I never go to bed hungry anymore.
Fat isn’t determined by clothing size. Xl might be just fine. Get your BMI tested. That will tell you if you are fat or not. For women BMI of 25% is really good.
@@MrDakota352 if you follow Dr Berg and just do what he says you'll lose your weight. I all but gave up until I found his videos. I couldn't even climb stairs without stopping for a break at first. I'm now pounding out the steps. Don't lose heart.
I lost 37 pounds this year since January. Started at 268 and went to 231. Between January & November, I was just eating well and cutting out sugar as much as I could. Dropped 20 pounds, down to 248 by November. Between November & now I have been doing Keto and Intermittent Fasting, and I dropped 17 pounds in just over a month as I weighed in yesterday at 231!! My highest was at 276 in 2017.
When fat gets metabolized by the body, it turns into H2O and CO2. We breath it out and sweat it out. Three weeks into intermittant fasting and ten pounds gone for me. Just started Keto in addition after a three day fast that made me feel fantastic. I felt I needed to jump start the process because I know I am insulin resistant and pre diabetic. I feel it worked! 70 more pounds to go.
nukem It sounds like you need to realize what is important and what is inimportant. A minimal spelling error means nothing in the grand scheme of thinking
My heart doctor told me years ago. LOSE weight. I told him i walk 3 miles a day. He said thats great BUT You don't lose weight from exercise. You lose weight by dieting. For most men what ever your ideal weight is, add a Zero to that. THAT should be your maximum calorie intake each day. Example. My ideal weight is 240lb. So my calorie intake for the entire day should be 2400. His only other advice was STAY AWAY from fast foods. Eat at home! Unless it's a special occasion.
Hi Dr. Berry, just reaching out to you to thank you. When I watched your videos back in Feb I tried keto and lost 34kg! (75 pounds). You are literally a life saver!
I have hashimotos hypothyroidism and I have lost weight without taking any thyroid prescriptions. I have done the keto diet and lost weight and have brought my thyroid numbers down to almost normal ALL without prescribed medication. I was diagnosed 9 years ago and have healed my thyroid with holistic healing 🤷🏽♀️
Thank you; I needed to hear that. About 15 years ago, my world blew apart with Hashimotos and secondary Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Hoping Keto will fix it!
I have been on the Keto diet for 3 months now. And I have been IF for 2 months. I do either 16 hrs or 24hrs. I have lost 32lbs! And feel amazing. I also just eat one meal a day.
Eat a protein, salad and lots of veges. I do snack on raw cages with sour cream that I have mixed the dry ranch dressing in I eat once a day (but do snack on veges) I IF and eat between 12 and 6) but, if for some reason I will eat a couple of boiled eggs. If I do crave a starch, I will eat a cup of pasta. But, I am going away from that. I have lost 30 lbs in 10 weeks
nancy e I typically have just 2 meals per day, but will have a small breakfast if I get hungry. I never eat just because it’s a certain time, only when I am truly hungry. I’ll usually begin my eating window around noon and end around 8:00 pm.
Good for you! I am down 20 since the first of the month. Although I started the tablespoon of apple cider vinegar a day around Christmas with no diet changes. Which really helped me slide into keto and start loosing once I was ready. I have pcos so I usually have a difficult time loosing. This time not so... it's sliding off. I have lots more to loose.
micks336 OMG I have pcos too and it is so difficult to loose weight. I started IF with apple cider vinegar which helped me loose some weight and go into Keto+exercising. I'm doing 15lbs in a month and fat is just coming off. I'm super happy, this is the fastest it has ever come off.
"Dispel the calories in /calories out myth"......... As a Personal Trainer, Nutritionist, for over 20 years now......... Hearing you say this almost brings a tear to my eyes. I've been trying to get to the bottom of it, and trying to tell people that, as non experienced trainers and "nutritionists" explain it, it is not entirely correct to just say "the key to weight loss is calories in /out", but few believed me. People are fed these VERY OVER SIMPLIFIED concepts about weight loss, nutrition, and training, and these myths get perpetuated more and more. And when I did my research, and got to the bottom of it, and I tried to spread the word, I was called crazy, and was told I didn't know what I was talking about. So, thank you Doc for telling me I'm not crazy. You've given me the motivation to continue my path in Sports Nutrition, Kinesiology, and Fitness and Bodybuilding that I started 20 years ago.
Well, I am 58 yrs of age and far more than 50lbs overweight - and this video just scared the hell out of me! Back to Keto and intermittent fasting TODAY!
I was 255 back in Dec when I started swimming regularly. In Feb I started lifting weights with a purpose 3x a week. I am down to 245. However, my waist has gone from a 44 to a 38. Just started intermittent fasting using an app to help keep me on track. Man, I sure do miss ice cream and bags of Doritos. Good times. My wife can eat anything and she's fine. I smell sugar and gain 10lbs. It's not fair lol
I was 272lbs 2/2/2020... As of 12/2/2020 I'm 208lbs...All due to Keto...considered it before, but didn't understand it until I saw Dr. Ken's videos...Most expensive part is buying the new clothes...
Even if you talked to my wife face to face she still would not believe the Keto diet is healthy. I have lost 70 lbs on this diet, been to my doctor twice last year for blood tests both times perfect results, it’s an amazing diet. I’m not hungry between meals, in fact sometimes I have to force myself to eat. Why there aren’t Keto restaurants out there is beyond me, Keto stores, more people have to believe how great eating this way is the best for you. Thanks doc
You can about go to any restaurant you want, except for Mexican food... Mexican restaurants are tricky. When you want to eat out, just find a place that serves steaks, chicken, etc., and pick a protein, some veggies and maybe even a side salad and enjoy. Is your wife overweight??
@Jack Holly Personally i enjoy being proved wrong because it means i am learning better information. Sure i could be upset that i was wrong all my life and continue being wrong or i could embrace learning new things. A year back my partner was watching a intermittent fasting video and i told him that was a bad idea because his body would go into "survival mode" and just store a higher percentage as fat. (accepting the old myth as truth) after watching some educational content myself i promptly told him i was wrong and misinformed and then proceeded to share all the benefits of fasting, lowering insulin, burning fat, autophagy, etc.. As a woman i admitted i was wrong. Now maybe you can admit you were wrong about women :)
@@jennaguzman7269 ex, if you keep 20 gr of carbs per day, I do 50 grs, breakfast eggs avocado sausages or bacon, snack, berries peanut butter, lunch; veggies chicken hummus, then the same tuna veggies, then tea, lots of water in between and some good complex carb 50 or 20 gr depends on your goal.
I lost 50 lbs (to 170) over the last 10 months. The key was just making myself feel better about not eating than eating. That made it easy to ratchet down the food intake. It also kept me conscious of making my food choices as healthy as possible - which was pretty easy because with a low food intake EVERYTHING tastes good!
I was 289 lbs. discovered this Great Doctor and his beautiful wife, one month later I’m 264 and living Keto, I got a long way to go, but I feel so much better, sleeping better and moving. I Thank God for these two awesome people, keep on preaching the truth Dr. Berry and Mrs Berry, I’m a nobody but your changing lives!!!
Thanks Doc! You basically reassured the method I discovered by general dietary common sense that Ketogenics with intermittent fasting with light daily detox promotes good health and synergentic effects. I started at 260lbs and now are 215 lbs. My goal is 170-180 at 5'11".
Listen to this man! I improved my health completely. Keto over a year now. Feel wonderful. Oh and I lost 88 lbs. - that’s just the icing on my keto life.
I have a question.... I've been carnivore for 2 months and have suddenly felt like my heart is racing.... have you heard about this?... do you have any ideas?
I'm so glad to hear you speak on the hormone issues! I have been on keto and intermittent fasting up to 20/4 and I have not lost anything over 3 lbs that come and go. My doctor just always tells me to eat less and exercise more! I will press him to test my thyroid and adrenals. Fingers crossed 🤞 he will. Than maybe I can finally be on the road to a healthy weight!
For some losing weight is a nightmare and I'm one of them people, also when you try to lose weight that's when you realize you have a serious problem. But good luck to you
No need to cross your fingers. All you have to do is tell them the list of tests you want. Of course make sure it's covered by your insurance or be prepared to pay out of pocket. Your doctor works for you! If your doctor doesn't listen to what your needs are for your health it's time to get a new doctor.
You are right on point with the hormones Dr. Ken. I was gaining weight fast and it wasn’t coming off no matter how hard I tried. I had my hormones checked and my testosterone was at 60 and my prolactin was 79. Turns out I have a pituitary tumor. I’m on meds for it now and my levels are pretty normal. Now I need to work at getting this weight off. I could stand to loose 80-90 lbs. I am considering Keto and intermittent fasting.
I went from 266 about a years go to 198 today. At 74 I think that’s wonderful, I even went back to work. I’m having trouble urinating and think it could be a stone. I’m looking over you videos to get some insight.
I started the keto"ish" diet and walking in the park everyday for 1 week+. I eat only meat and some dairy and I have lost 7 lbs so far. I have stopped drinking coke and cut way back on sugar. My blood pressure is also better. From 145/90 to 127/82 in a week
The Keto diet screwed me up like crazy. I felt HORRIBLE and lost nothing. I started eating healthy, which was low carb with moderate fruits and veggies and started exercising several days a week. I lost 70lbs in about 5 months. Nothing has worked better and made me feel better than that. And I did it in my 50's.
I'm in my 60s and the Ketogenic diet with intermittent fasting is the ONLY THING that has worked to get my A1C down and consistent in the 5s instead of 8s and higher. I'm getting off my meds!
Gloria Dixon that's fantastic. It's great when people find something that really works for them. Unfortunately Keto just didn't work for me. Keep up the great work and I wish you the best.
you must have been doing it wrong, if it screwed you up. Maybe you should watch people that have been on Jenny Craig, and weight watchers , it just don't work, not everyone has the wil l power to eat "healthy" or the money to eat healthy.
67 years old went on the old mad diet 16 months ago took out 42 pounds keeping it off, no sugar, no dairy, lots of black coffee, Coffee works for me. I take no meds, so I’m lucky there, I eat a lot of protein and vegetables and drink a lot of water and coffee, and I walk every day. It’s pretty simple.
Stood on the scale the day after Thanksgiving. It was just too high. Worried about my diabetes and blood pressure, neither outrageously high, but high enough to have the diagnoses. Started keto on Saturday. Seeing all these videos with people loosing 10, 20, 30 pounds in a month, but it was slower for me. Finally this month I've now lost 50 pounds. Never thought I would go that far, that long, that much. Perhaps a better balance of fat/protein/carbs would pick up the weight loss pace. Or more regular and routine physical activity. I've ended up for the last few weeks eating one meal a day - not by intent, but that's how it worked out. Punched 4 new holes in my belt along the way. Wearing smaller clothes. Blood pressure is lower. Blood sugar is lower. My appetite is lower. So many people have gained weight while quarantining at home, but I went in reverse. I'm shooting for 15 more pounds before my next appointment with my doctor. He'll be surprised.
I've got hypothyroidism & 220 lbs and couldn't afford meds with heart problems in family so my papa and I are on carivor and I'm starting to feel great at 196lb now thank you for the advice it helped alot. 76 lbs to go😊
I'm down 95 pounds since May with keto and intermittent fasting. Terrific combo. Carbs slam any progress to a halt. I usually am under 10 grams per day. In less than 4 months, keto and IF left me with under 1 pound of visceral fat (according to Dexa scan). Now just the belly fat. Picked it up from Dr. Fung.
I started low carb avoiding a surgery for weight loss. Now I cant eat too much I will feel sick . Fasting low carb and bullet proof coffee way to go. I'm a vodka drinker in evenings I still lost 50 lbs 4 months!

I have heard a lot about keto or zero carb/carnivore being the best diet for cancer prevention, since sugar (carbs) feed cancer. Fasting is good, too, but if you don't want to do that this is similar because you are not raising your blood sugar and flooding your system with insulin all the time like on a SAD. Very unhealthy
Been on Carnivore diet for 10 days or so. Haven't weighed myself yet but I feel less depressed and more alert. I feel my weight has gone down but don't know for sure. Gotta find a scale.

@@susancobratti741 how are you doing, now? In Woman's World magazine, he said 23# in a month.

When I ate a typical American diet, if I had a craving for something, it wouldn’t gov away until I had it. Now, only 2 weeks strict carnivore, when I had a craving, I realized I wasn’t hungry so the “craving” would go away quickly. Amazing!

Help me I’m up to 210 at 5”2 congrats on your journey
Good on you!!! Keep up the good work!!!
Don't lose heart.
rockjockchick if you would have read the entire post you would have seen my initial weight. At 5'2" 247 is fat. At 247 you can calculate the BMI.
The best to you.
This works! I’ve lost 70 pounds with keto and IF!
This man has saved my life. Litterally.
Now he needs to teach you how to spell.
nukem It sounds like you need to realize what is important and what is inimportant. A minimal spelling error means nothing in the grand scheme of thinking
I began this last February, I am now down almost 100 pounds. Give up carbs and burn that fat!!! Thank you for spreading the truth!!!
I lost 25 lbs and didn't feel like restricting my self at all!
What's on the menu when you only do one meal a day? I would like to try the one to two meals a day but I don't really know what to eat in that time
Eat a protein, salad and lots of veges. I do snack on raw cages with sour cream that I have mixed the dry ranch dressing in
I eat once a day (but do snack on veges) I IF and eat between 12 and 6) but, if for some reason I will eat a couple of boiled eggs. If I do crave a starch, I will eat a cup of pasta. But, I am going away from that. I have lost 30 lbs in 10 weeks
Keto, combined with IF, has helped me lose 12 pounds over the last 30 days. Still need to lose an additional 25 pounds, but so far so good.
nancy e I typically have just 2 meals per day, but will have a small breakfast if I get hungry. I never eat just because it’s a certain time, only when I am truly hungry. I’ll usually begin my eating window around noon and end around 8:00 pm.
Keep up the good work!
Any Update? how are you doing 5 months in?
micks336 OMG I have pcos too and it is so difficult to loose weight. I started IF with apple cider vinegar which helped me loose some weight and go into Keto+exercising. I'm doing 15lbs in a month and fat is just coming off. I'm super happy, this is the fastest it has ever come off.
I've LOST about fifty pounds on keto. I still have about 30 to go. I was 80 pounds overweight due to my diet and laziness.
Mine is so bad, I can eat in the dream and gain weight in real life.
It frustrates me.
I was 272lbs 2/2/2020...
As of 12/2/2020 I'm 208lbs...All due to Keto...considered it before, but didn't understand it until I saw Dr. Ken's videos...Most expensive part is buying the new clothes...
Thank you Dr Berry! Because of you I’ve lost 32 lbs in 4 months and I feel so much better. May God bless you!
I weighed 328 lbs. With intermittent fasting and exercise I have lost 52 lbs and am now 276 lbs. Thanks.
Regarding your wife: "I can explain it TO you, but I can't understand it FOR you." Congrats on your weight loss and good health!
Time for a new wife.
I did keto for 6 months and my triglycerides shot up sky high. My dr. And nutrionist took me right off
@Jack Holly Personally i enjoy being proved wrong because it means i am learning better information.
Lost 67 pounds in 11 months on keto, this diet works!
Nice
What would b an example of 1 day of eating?
On Keto I’m already down 60 pounds ! 🙌
Proud of you!❤️💗🤍
How are you doing?
I was 289 lbs. discovered this Great Doctor and his beautiful wife, one month later I’m 264 and living Keto, I got a long way to go, but I feel so much better, sleeping better and moving.
But good luck to you
For sure. Get all your hormones tested.
any update on the test results and/or weight loss?
No need to cross your fingers. All you have to do is tell them the list of tests you want. Of course make sure it's covered by your insurance or be prepared to pay out of pocket. Your doctor works for you! If your doctor doesn't listen to what your needs are for your health it's time to get a new doctor.
I relate to this post. 3 months of keto last year and I struggled to lose 7lbs. It was disheartening
Lemongrass tea is helpful for cancer.
In my 11th week of Keto and I've lost 25 pounds. Still about halfway to my goal but it is super easy with intermittent fasting & Keto!
I went from 266 about a years go to 198 today. At 74 I think that’s wonderful, I even went back to work. I’m having trouble urinating and think it could be a stone. I’m looking over you videos to get some insight.
There should be more doctors like you! You deserve a huge raise!
@@becomeaudible1 Its all science, if you were doing it right it works.
Start fasting when you dont crave foods anymore, no need to torture yourself in the beginning
This is SO true. So true, really!
The difference is this is not a diet. It’s a lifestyle change. I love it!!
I just did on keto.. listening to your videos, watching you and your wife and your advice. Thank you so much ❤️
I've got hypothyroidism & 220 lbs and couldn't afford meds with heart problems in family so my papa and I are on carivor and I'm starting to feel great at 196lb now thank you for the advice it helped alot.
Fung.
What do you normally eat during a typical day to keep your carbs so low?
I started low carb avoiding a surgery for weight loss. Now I cant eat too much I will feel sick . Fasting low carb and bullet proof coffee way to go. I'm a vodka drinker in evenings I still lost 50 lbs 4 months!

I am also studying to be a nurse midwife. The information you've shared on your videos in invaluable!! Thank you so much for helping me change my life for the better!
Have you lost your weight yet? If not i have a firm workout for you
Low carb is for you. Quick sugar is food for cancer cells, why feed the enemy. I've had great improvement in the last year.
