@@yungkaos3500 I don't have instagram but i will share with you what i Have done. First I am not on a diet. I simply changed my lifestyle so that this will be sustainable. I follow mediterranean guidlines. Plenty of vegetables and fruit. Probably 2 servings of vegetables to 1 serving of fruit. Fruit has lots of sugar so be careful, and NO FRUIT JUICE EVER! I eat whole wheat grains, and if i do occasionaly eat pasta it has to be whole wheat pasta. Try to get away from refined carbs and limit them, not completly but defitnetly limit them to 100grams or less a day. Like I said plenty of veggies, carrots, peas, broccoli, asparagus, spinach, etc.. Green lentils are great too. I drink 3 cups of green tea with lemon juice per day. I eat either salmon or sardines 2-3 days a week, boneless skinless chicken 1-2 days a week, and red meat probably once every 2 weeks. Always keep in mind PORTION CONTROL!!! Don't eat until you are full, if you have you have eaten too much. I also sprinkle tobasco sauce on my food to speed up my metabolism a bit. Because of covid I have not been able to go to the gym at all through this so it's going pretty good. I seemed to plateau a few weeks ago and the pounds stopped coming off completly, so i started intermitten fasting. I only eat from 12 noon to 6 p.m. No breakfast, just lunch, a small snack a couple hours later, and supper at 5:30. The only thing that goes into my body until noon the next day is water, so I essentially fast for 18 hours a day, and I feel great, actually have more energy than before, and don't feel the need for an afternoon nap anymore. Anyways that broke the plateau, and i have lost almost 10 more pounds on intermitten fasting in the last 2 weeks.. If i could get to the gym I could lose even more. I hope this helps, and if you have any more questions I will try to answer them for you. You will be surrounded by "experts" who will tell you that you are doing things wrong, just stick to your guns, and what works for you. Thats what I did, and they can all choke on the now almost 80lbs I have lost. Funny, I don't hear from them anymore lol. You can do this, just don't give up, and use the internet for good info, and come up with a sustainable plan for you that will work long term. Remember, YOU CAN DO THIS, just don't give up, even when you feel it's not working.

An insurance company called me up asking why I don't go to doctors. They even recorded me. I told them doctors don't know what they are doing. That is the best I have got, unless you want to hear about all the doctors I have been to that ignore my 100 pounds overweight and swollen legs and round red circles on my stomach. And that has been for 30 years. Last 12 years I have lost the cartilage between my leg and hip bones. I read that eating a lot of cooked foods did that. Cooking damages enzymes.
A lot of foods turn acidic when cooked. Plus animals are acidic. People have to keep a 7.4 Ph level. Our bodies strive for this number. Breathing the acidic air and drinking acidic water counts. And I read that a lot of medicines are acidic. So I don't see how anyone can eat animals and their by products. I love bacon and fatty meats.

Then I went onto a 18/6 keto eating routine, 2 meals a day. 1 at 11 or 12 then again at 5pm. I lost 47lbs in the space of 5 months. Some days I cheated close to the 4-5 month period, had a beer or had a pizza but it worked. I knew when I cheated I could just adjust and fast a day. I weighed 215 at the beginning and I have no way to weigh myself, so I will have to wait about 4 weeks and go back to the doctor, but I can tell my stomach has went down A LOT, I know it's probably mostly water weight but I should be losing the fat in no time at all. This way of eating has changed my life!!! I want to get down to at least 160. 👍💕

Low carbs, lots of veggies, and healthy meat (mostly fish and chicken). I fast 17 hours a day. I've gone from 3XL to XL. I know...I'm still fat but not as fat as I was 4 months ago. My A1C is under 6.7. Do I cheat? Yes. Every Friday is my free day. However, I'm finding my free days conform more and more to the changes I've made. I don't miss the junk. I don't have an out of control sweet tooth. I never go to bed hungry anymore.

The one thing I have found with the keto diet (which works incredibly well) is that it's honestly all mental, once you decide to be serious about finally putting down the sweets, breads, cakes, pop, fast food and see the weight melting off of your body, it keeps you focused much better. Stay mentally tough when dieting and you will definitely lose that weight! We are all in the same battle to lose some LB's .....let's get to it and all live a longer life!

I'm a retired RN and I agree with Alejandra, below, that the common sense being broadcast in your videos is a 'breath of fresh air' and a relief to hear. I am 5'4" and have lost 20 lbs from a high of just under 200 lbs. I will be 70 in 9 months and my goal is to get down to a healthy weight (?130 lbs with my small frame) and start dancing again by my 70th birthday. After 5 weeks on the Keto diet, I have lost just over 10 lbs but the amazing thing is that my headaches, nausea, itchy, dry skin with chronic, non-healing blemishes and red, hot feet and hands have just cleared up as if by magic. Also completely resolved are my low-blood-sugar shakes and sweats - and I don't get hungry. I am fairly sure that stopping all grains and non-fermented dairy was a significant part of my problems. I didn't know about Ketorade when I started and ground my teeth in my sleep so badly that I bruised a tooth bed, so blended my food for a couple of days to give it a rest, reduce pain and promote healing. The end result of that was to find myself eating only once a day. Nobody is more surprised than I am that OMAD Keto can support a relatively busy life, more restful sleep, improved recovery from fatigue, a clearer thinking mind and a more positive outlook. I am probably just having 'teething problems' but find that I overeat at my one meal, past the time when I feel full, because I know that that will be all the nutrition my body will get for 24 hours. Aside from the Ketorade, I take a multi-vitamin (for over 50s), B complex (methylated B12 and folic acid), PreserVision (for very early AMD (Adult Macular Degeneration), D3 (3Kiu) with K2 and 'Innate Choice omega sufficiency'. Am I getting enough nutrition per day or per week to continue on this way for a few months? I had a great GP who moved away 3 years ago and haven't found one yet who is unlikely to treat me like a crazy food-averse nut case. I don't suppose you would be interested in moving to the North Shore of Vancouver BC: you can golf in the morning, ski in the afternoon and go sailing into the sunset... Thank you for your fine work.

"Dispel the calories in /calories out myth"......... As a Personal Trainer, Nutritionist, for over 20 years now......... Hearing you say this almost brings a tear to my eyes. I've been trying to get to the bottom of it, and trying to tell people that, as non experienced trainers and "nutritionists" explain it, it is not entirely correct to just say "the key to weight loss is calories in /out", but few believed me. People are fed these VERY OVER SIMPLIFIED concepts about weight loss, nutrition, and training, and these myths get perpetuated more and more. And when I did my research, and got to the bottom of it, and I tried to spread the word, I was called crazy, and was told I didn't know what I was talking about. So, thank you Doc for telling me I'm not crazy. You've given me the motivation to continue my path in Sports Nutrition, Kinesiology, and Fitness and Bodybuilding that I started 20 years ago.

I really do feel like I’m younger than when I started. I’m have liver for dinner and a bunch of vegetables. Then a 48 hr fast. I’m going to set my 48 hour timer and stick to it, last week I did a 38hr and feel like I need a honest target.

When fat gets metabolized by the body, it turns into H2O and CO2. We breath it out and sweat it out. Three weeks into intermittant fasting and ten pounds gone for me. Just started Keto in addition after a three day fast that made me feel fantastic. I felt I needed to jump start the process because I know I am insulin resistant and pre diabetic. I feel it worked! 70 more pounds to go.

I have heard a lot about keto or zero carb/carnivore being the best diet for cancer prevention, since sugar (carbs) feed cancer. Fasting is good, too, but if you don't want to do that this is similar because you are not raising your blood sugar and flooding your system with insulin all the time like on a SAD. Very unhealthy

Stood on the scale the day after Thanksgiving. It was just too high. Worried about my diabetes and blood pressure, neither outrageously high, but high enough to have the diagnoses. Started keto on Saturday. Seeing all these videos with people loosing 10, 20, 30 pounds in a month, but it was slower for me. Finally this month I've now lost 50 pounds. Never thought I would go that far, that long, that much. Perhaps a better balance of fat/protein/carbs would pick up the weight loss pace. Or more regular and routine physical activity. I've ended up for the last few weeks eating one meal a day - not by intent, but that's how it worked out. Punched 4 new holes in my belt along the way. Wearing smaller clothes. Blood pressure is lower. Blood sugar is lower. My appetite is lower. So many people have gained weight while quarantining at home, but I went in reverse. I'm shooting for 15 more pounds before my next appointment with my doctor. He'll be surprised.

I thought Keto would be too expensive, but saw your video on eating Keto on a budget, and I can do that. Will start it tonight. Still reading up on Keto diet. I was eating WAY too many carbs. No wonder the one meal wasn't really getting me results. Now I know. Thank you so much.

He's so right! Fix your diet!!!! I didn't know about keto, when I started The Whole 30 last summer, but chose to do it really strict, on advice of my chiropractor(does muscle testing, n lots of other stuff). He found I had some severe food sensitivities as well as being very insulin resistant, and suggested I do Whole 30, with NO fruit, no chicken, no nightshades, and several other things. To skip to the point, I had incredible results, and over the past year I've lost 90 lbs, fixed the food sensitivities, gotten off my bp meds😁 and completely resolved most of my heath issues, including the insulin resistance, and a SEVERE adrenal problem. I chose to stay grain and legume free, after much research, and finding videos from many people like Dr Berry, who promote Keto, and similar things, and in retrospect, I believe I have been in and out of ketosis, just due to the initial strictures on my diet, then the subsequent choices I've made since I learned about keto😁 I rotate between strict Whole 30, and what I consider maintenance- where I add back some organic dairy. That's a huge difference too, since I've been lactose intolerant for years, but I stick to mostly organic, and use nut milks, or coconut milk, and European imported cheeses, and I have no problems😉😁 Good luck to everyone starting this journey, you will feel soooo much better VERY soon!💖
