Thanks, KB, another great video. But I would have entitled it "Nine hormones corrected by keto". To suggest that the content is focused on burning fat faster (any more or less than your other vids) seems a little off point to me. Just saying...
I lost 135lbs doing this. Not only that, I normalized: -heart rate -blood pressure -cured type II diabetes -cured sleep apnea -alleviated headaches and lower back pain -normalized my lipid panel -I have kept the weight off for more than a year without trying Thank you Ken, for the new lifestyle and for helping so many people. At 53, I have more energy than people half my age.. I did not and do not count calories. I did it all trough low carb (keto) and intermittent fasting (controlling my hormones). I was never hungry and ate plenty. I was about to work myself from being a Firefighter/Paramedic (believe it or not, is a sedentary lifestyle) to being stuck in a casket. In my opinion, calories is a stupid measure of nutrition. In the medical field, we measure intake and output. When administering fluids, we measure not only the fluids we give, but the fluids we excrete. When was the last time a mainstream Dr tested a persons excrement for caloric content to see what is being utilized by the patient? Just a thought. I now work in a level 1 trauma facility (ER) and garantee that it isn't being done. Folks, just eat healthy and listen to Dr Berry. The key to most health problems don't come from your pharmacist, it comes from what we consume. Garbage in = garbage out (meaning outcome). Thanks again for going against the grain, and getting the truth out there! Kudos to you sir. It is people like you and Dr Mark Hyman that have restored my faith in the medical field (functional medicin that is). You two and Dr Jason Fung turned my life around!
SuperBooger2000 your comment says it all. I also am 53, lost 65 pounds and feeling great. I’m glad to know I’m not the only one who was cured of apnea. Keto is life now. Congratulations!
SuperBooger2000 thanks but I had an advantage as I post on a footy forum and one of the things we do is just go stupid with the puns, especially in the off season, and that was one I had used. I've been boring them stupid with my new diet.
Today is day 317 on strict Keto. I started st 345 lbs. I've lost 165 lbs. of fat. I'm now 180 lbs. Keto does work. I'm not going to go into all the changes that I've gone through during this journey but be assured it's been amazing.
Dr. Berry is an example of what a doctor should be - a true healer - not a pill pusher who is "trained" by big Pharma reps. If we had more docs like him we would be a nation of far healthier people instead of medicated zombies. Keto and Intermittent fasting work incredibly well for me!
Over 20 years experience. He was one of the early critics of so many statins, and made such an impact that both his home and his clinic were burned down to the ground.
I needed a "lifestyle", not another diet. Yo-Yo dieting is so bad for people! I felt like carbs were poisoning me, so I cut them out, except green beans and salad greens, with eggs and hamburger. I started losing weight...quickly...a pound a day! I started RESEARCHING why and how, and found Keto. I lost 75 lbs.! I never felt better in my life! At 72 years old, quit smoking, don't drink, but feel amazing and happy. THAT IS MY LIFESTYLE! Finally found the proper way to eat and live. I feel best on a Ketovore lifestyle. I will try your coffee and butter for a variety, since I only drink water. I used to like coffee around the holidays in winter. Thank you and big blessings to you and your beautiful and amazing family for a HAPPY NEW YEAR! 🎉🎉🎉💥💥💥😁♥️👍🙏🙏🙏✝️
Been following a healthy ketogenic diet since May of 2019 and have lost 45 lbs. I am 60 years old and didn’t think I could ever do this. Love this way of life.
Found Dr. Berry on Thanksgiving night 2019, after I woke up choking from being morbidly obese. I was 268 pounds, on a 5'11" frame. I couldn't sleep on my back, ever, legs hurt, knees hurt, ankles hurt, etc. Within two weeks, I had lost some weight, but the pain from what I am guessing was inflammation was almost completely gone. Now two months in, I weighed in at 238 this morning, no real pain in my joints and legs, and I feel wonderful. This works, and I feel better each day. Thanks Dr. Berry!!
Hubby was ordered by Dr to lower carbs to 168/day so of course I had to manage & do same. 6mo later I was down in keto range right about the same time I turned 52. It's been over a year & we've both only lost 40-42lbs each. He "doesn't want to go below a certain weight" (even though the belly still shows otherwise), but I still have 30# to go & the scale hasn't budged in weeks. I can't figure out why. I have read & heard so many great testimonies like yours & I'm really happy for you! I'm also jealous & confused at my own deal. It was @KenDBerryMD video binge watching that taught me enough to do us any good (much better than his Dr's advice). Yes my body size has decreased, but I truly expected to be at my goal weight & size before the 1y point.
ABSOLUTELY !..........NOT HUNGRY....NOT CRAVING.....NO LOOSE SKIN ! FROM 12 - 14 JEANS TO 6-4 PAINLESSLY.......MY HAIR IS NO LONGER THINNING, BUT THICKENING.......I HAVE EYELASHES....MY SKIN IS SMOOTH, YOUNGER....i am physically younger......no pain....
I just received your book, "Lies my doctor told me", and I'm having trouble putting it down! Well written and very compelling info, so thank you, Dr. Berry! I've been trying this low carb, carnivore eating since last July- the weight is slowly coming off, but best of all I'm feeling so much better! Thank you for your work! I'm spreading your message up here in Canada!!
I was 190 pounds, I thought I would never get the weight off, I was in so much joint pain, after going mostly carnivore for 3 months I am now 170 pounds and my joint pain is almost completely gone. I am 59 years old and I feel better than I have in years, thanks Dr Berry 😊 my idea weight is 150 pounds, I know I'll get there.
It’s always hard to believe a fit, healthy person was once obese. Pictures or it didn’t happen! (Kidding! I believe or I wouldn’t be here and sharing with anyone willing to listen to me.) I’ve got close to 100 to lose, prediabetic, and no diabetes, thankfully. I do have systemic lupus and Sjögren’s syndrome, so I’m anxious to see how my symptoms improve, and hopefully go into remission. Down 30 since Thanksgiving. Much respect and many thanks from south Alabama!
I went carnivore 2 months ago and lost 30 pounds with 20 more to go. My blood sugar is getting very close to normal,(around 200 before) last week average 91 and last month 108. I will be going ketovore for life after 1 more month of carnivore. Thank you Dr for all your excellent videos that have helped me get here. Oh, I am down to 2 meals a day and doing 18/6 intermittent fasting.
If you're not diabetic you DO NOT have to worry about insulin spikes!!! The other thing is you never want to eat naked carbs. Combine it with fats and protein to slow down the absorption of glucose and will give better blood sugar levels. As far as cortisol regular exercise will take care of that. Science has proven stress levels are improved with exercise.
Dr Berry you are my go to doctor❤️👍 I’m carnivore, keto 4 months lost 40 pounds . Off all my diabetes medication , thanks to this diet and listening to you and Dr. Jason Fung gAve me confidence. I have 100 more to lose. I hang on to EVERY video you make and binge watch over and over. Thank you so very much❤️❤️❤️❤️
I am a week in and so excited to say I already feel better. Step by step and learning alot.... wish I had learned all of this before gall bladder removal, but onward!
Best diet ever lost 50lb in 6 month so far and off blood pressure meds and my ac1 went from 137 to 88 on a 8hr fast in my first 6 weeks of being on keto feeling awesome.
I was diagnosed with T2D 10 weeks ago and following your advice I've lost 25lbs to date. Thank you for sharing your knowledge it has re-tuned my brain about what is truthfully okay to eat what is not. Thanks again!
Yup the Doc has changed my life too. I am losing slower than some folks but who cares. coming up on one year and 35 lbs. and very grateful to Doc Berry for so generously leading the way. It's winter up north where I live and as usual activity slows and I'm missing my bike rides and the color green, cept for on my plate, but I'm letting it happen now because I know come spring I'll be at it 100% again. For me this change remains a kind of balancing act, work in progress as you personalize success step by step. Now working on correcting the stress parts of life that effect as described in this video my weight loss, energy level and the health effects. I'm 70 and don't need any medications. xxoo Doc thank you.
It works! One yr ago I was 6’3” 310 lbs. Had done low carb. Chicken breasts and broccoli for weeks and no weight loss and miserable. Went back and did research. Low carb is NOT keto. Keto is low carb. Upped fat to 65-80% of total. 20-25% protein. Carbs 10-30 grams day depending on calories in other items. 2000 calories kept carbs 10-15. Other days maybe 12-1400 calories would up carbs to 20-30. Worked for me. Lost 70 lbs in 6 months. Slowly worked into a cleaner keto. More grass fed beef when on sale. Little less bacon and eggs and more 4 egg omelettes with guacamole filling. Better fat. Pecans/macadamia nuts instead of almonds cashews others that are higher carb and inflammatory. Lots of asparagus, cauliflower, spinach(creamed of course) and tons of cabbage in many forms. After one yr down 105 lbs. Joint pain eliminated. 64 yrs old and working out regularly. No super heavy stuff but way ahead of most my age. Once comfortable with keto eating start intermittent fasting. 12 hrs to start. Work up to 16-20 hrs between eating times when possible. Then you really turn on the fat burning. And I mean FAT not muscle/bone. Dr Berry #1 in my book. Dr Berg very good. Thomas DeLauer little windy but well informed. Many others Listen to all and you will find what works for you.
@@GreatGrannyFreeBird I'm trying to find this out myself. I could definitely see myself doing the 72 hr fast every week and enjoying it. I just want to make sure it isn't recommended against. I'm on day 2 of my second week. Not hungry at all. I dig it!
Sisterhood Dr Berry has good videos on intermittent fasting. It should be hours each day. Example you sleep 8 hours a night (or so 😬) that could be the start of your fast. Extend that out to 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours before bed, now you’re intermittent fasting for 12 hours. And you keep going to a point where you’re comfortable. Some people fast 20 hours, eat for 4. Seriously though watch his videos, very informative.
Thank you so much! I was getting retinol migraines and I went to the Dr and he said they were nothing to worry about. It was just a gliche in my brain. I was watching you on U tube and you said something about minerals for the brain. I took your mineral product and after 3 days they stopped. I am so grateful.
At the time I watched this video there were 5.5 thousand thumbs up to 39 thumbs down. What does that tell you? I am on You Tube nearly 3 hours a day, seeking information. For me this video is absolutely one of the best videos explaining a safe, nutritious easy way to lose weight and optimize your health. You have just been given the key to a better life! If you are in search on what to do to lose weight and keep it off, look no further because this is some of the best advice you will ever get. Essentially your search is now over! For me I was aware of the link between carbohydrates and sugar, but I did not consider myself overweight at 200 lbs and 6 feet tall ( 62 year old male) so I really never went on a diet. But one day, after being diagnosed with Atrial Fibrillation and told that I would have to take hard core medications the rest of my life, I began wondering if there was a way to optimize my health, so that I did not have to take heart drugs with problematic side effects? I thought what if I cut way way back on refined sugar and processed carbohydrates, what would happen. I knew nothing about a ketogenic diet, or even Atkinson’s. I did nothing different with my life style except reduce the consumption of refined sugar and processed carbohydrates. To my total amazement I lost 35 pounds in two months! It seem like a blink of an eye and my pants did not fit right anymore. I could easily pull them off without unzipping them! My wife was worried that I was losing weight too fast, thinking it might be that I had cancer or something! In my opinion if you go hog wiled with eating good fat, your body will have less interest in tapping into your fat stores. I think you would have to consume a lot of fat for this to happen. I phased out taking my heart medication, improving my diet like Dr Berry suggests. I also initiated intermittent fasting and exercise. Holy Smokes, after three years I am unable to palpate Atrial Fibrillation, even after treadmill work! My weight has stabilized at 156 pounds. Even with 16 hour fast 4 days a week and following the advice in this video! You want to start on a journey to better health, then this video is the motherlode of information to get started!
corrie kotulak I did too. But on purpose. I tried it as more of an experiment. I wanted my body to forget what Keto was. I had plateaued at -48lbs. When I checked in on the 1st, I had gained back about 11 lbs. This actually worked out great for some reason. It was like moving to “stage II” on my Keto journey. I loss 14lbs just 12 days back and now 18 as of today! So by coming off Keto, I think my body forgot what Keto was. That’s why I said I started “Phase II” of Keto. Basically introducing Keto to my body for the “first time” but at my plateau weight. It has worked wonders. If everyone remembers how great they felt and how the fat just fell off when they started; image the same results within the same Keto journey. 😉 Phase II for me, has been amazing on my refocus and frustration. Hope that helps anyone that may need it 😊 * This is what happened for me, everyone is different *
Yes. The struggle during the holidays is real. Social pressure from co-workers and family is also real. I treat myself in tiny amounts during the holidays. I think I ate maybe 4-5 cookies the whole season. That works for me bc I am not depriving myself of favorites but limiting myself to just one. This method might not work for all people thought. Depending on your carb/sugar addiction level, you might not be able to treat at all.
I’ve said it many times that this way of life makes me not want cold drinks and alcohol so much. Didn’t try to but just kinda worked out that way. Loving my new life because my family doc pointed me in the keto direction by showing me a Dr Ken video.
Thanks especially, Dr. Berry, for including the links to the studies. Since my retirement from the local university, I miss the intellectual stimulation of digging into knotty problems. Health science has become my favorite hobby!
I’ve been on the carnivore diet since mid-November (with few interruptions due to the holidays). Initially l didn’t lose much weight, then at the end of December I also started the intermittent fast (16 - 24 hours no eating). I finally lost some weight or fat as Dr Berg says. Since November, I lost 18 pounds. That’s not as much as others say in the comments. I still want to lose more, so I’m thinking I’ll continue until I reach my goal.
The only thing better than keto is carnivore. I’m very low carb for life, and I’d be carnivore if I could afford the meat. OMAD and of course, no snacking and a very short eating window because you’re just not that hungry.
Yepper, started keto by watching KETO 101 by Dr Berry in Oct 2019. Have lost 72 lbs, A1C from 7.3 to 5.1 and many other markers normalized or heading in the right direction. I have watched many vids since I started by Dr Berry as well as several others.THANK YA'LL !!! O yeah, I.m 71 years old so don't let age hold you back, you probably need it worse than younger folks , I know I DO/DID .
Hi Dr. Berry, I'm a little desperate hoping for possibly your help or from one of your listeners. My husband has been carnivore since October, 4- 1/2 months (Yay!). Multiple people at his work have been on diets or keto etc and have lost weight in upwards of 20+ pounds in a short amount of time. He has been strict and diligent and I'm so proud of him, 2 1/2 pounds of ribeye a day, mostly at lunch and the rest for dinner. Black coffee in the mornings. Prior to this he ate healthy & mostly organic but the typical standard American diet minus bread/grain. Needing to lose 50 lbs, he only lost 8. Is there anyone else that you know of that is struggling with the weight? ***We took his Labs before and after at about 2 months into being carnivore. They were awesome! So amazing! Perfectly healthy with cholesterol and A1c, etc. Just struggling with the weight and I do not want him to get discouraged. Is there anyone else that you know of that is struggling with the weight? (a lot of walking at work, and does not cheat) Any suggestions? God bless you so much ~ J :)
Hi Chuck, thanks for sharing! I believe your husband is on a great path, he might just need to eat less. Caloric restriction is a sure-fire way to lose weight, I'm pretty sure this will work for him. But even if he keeps his weight, as long as his inflammation and body-fat is low, I believe he can be pretty healthy! Wish you and your husband good luck on your health journey!
I'm just about ready to embark on carnivore. I can't Thank you enough for your valuable insight and information. I'm so grateful to you for helping the world. The masses are awakening and that makes me so happy. Doctors like you are rare. I'd feel better if you had a body guard🙏🏼💞
I LOVE a Doctor who tells it like it IS (TRUTH.) So tired of Dr's holding back info and collecting their fee. You are a doctor that really cares and wants to help. THANK YOU!!!!!
Thanks Dr Berry! Been doing keto 2 months now also with exercising breakfast at 8 in the morning dinner at 4 with no hunger craving in between. Thanks again Dr.
I just stepped down out of managment position andd dropped a ton of stress. I lost 3lbs in 3 days!!! I had been stalled for a year. I feel amazing now.
Ken you helped me get over my depression and my weight! I now have superhuman concentration and my body is looking like something I can be proud of! I can't thank you enough for your advice, I look up to you dearly!
I found this way of eating several years ago (Butter Makes Your Pants Fall Off) and lost a lot of weight. Started craving a carb or three, and gained back about 20 pounds. Time to start again and go into my eighties in a slimmed down frame. Thanks Dr. Berry.
Me too! Many people think he abandoned UA-cam because he failed and gained back his weight. You can find him on FB by searching Bob's Tennessee Street Plant Nursery. He still looks great.
The Legend Butter Bob! He was fantastic,I still recommend him for people who would benefit from his approach as his science explanations are easy to digest, bless him.
I mean this MOST KINDLY! In my humble opinion, I was sad to see you pre-diabetes stage videos gone. I wish you had left a few up because it was such a ‘he knows from where he speaks’ example of the evolution your body took from then to now. 🙏 You know you saved me from that ready to take a nap at my desk after imbibing a sub sandwich pre diabetic stage to 80% carnivore🎉❤️. My energy, sleep and mood are the by-products of 18lb loss. Bless your heart & family. You are the best!
I really appreciate how you are breaking down the science as to why this way of eating works. This video is helpful in avoiding misconceptions and preconceived ideas of what this diet is after only hearing the word KETO. I have never seen such an improvement in my overall health and have lost more fat than I ever have in the past 8 months following your advice as well as some of the other good docs here on youtube. Thank you for everything you do, I look forward to every video and I appreciate your no-nonsense way of presenting the information.
I've been on keto for 2 years. I had horrible tinnitus, tried different pills nothing helped. As soon as I started keto it went away. I messed up over the holidays eating more carbs than usual and the tinnitus came back. Back on keto again and now it's gone. Hope this helps someone else that has tinnitus.
I love the comments section, every time, amazing testimonials of people regaining health and their lives, its awesome to be part of such an inspirational group,The Berry bunch'😬
Doctor, let me personally thank you for Getting me back into the keto lifetsyle, yoir videos are the ones that woke me up from my worst nightmare of being overweight. From 86kg down to 81kg Im down to 81kg after 1 week of keto. Lost 5kg or 11 pounds Excited to check again after 1 month or so. 🙌
I followed your suggestion and I found a new life!. I would like to thank you for your everyday job. THANK YOU. I would like to come to USA only to shake your hand.
Absolutely. Our good doctor is a superb quality individual and a man of his word. The trip would be worth every penny just to shake his hand. I cannot tell you how much Dr. Berry has helped me and I cannot thank him enough.
20 days in and 15lbs down! Love your videos, I keep sharing with everyone! Can you do a video on menstruation changes with diet? I know it's cringe but I see that question a lot in Keto groups! Anyway, commited 100% to this way of eating!
I would love to see you on the Dr. Oz show. Everyone needs to hear this. It is the simplest diet I have ever been tried and I have already lost 10 pounds in 2 weeks.
Three years in and I totally believe in you and the ketogenic diet. Thank you I mean you really went in depth on this one more than any other doctor I’ve ever heard
Thank you!! Dr Berry, I have been watching so many different channels on utube. Getting mostly, confused. I love the simplicity of your teachings. Others have become commercials for food companies. You and Dr Westman are the ones I’m sticking with now. Thank you 😊!!!
With keto I’ve lost 101 pounds , my doctor hates it , and no doctor I’ve saw ever recommends it but it works for me and I’ve dropped two meds and was pre diabetic . I’ve still have around 50 pounds to loose .
Ive been thinking about keto on and off for many years now. I was worried to start because I heard it can make you feel pretty bad at first. But im at the point where it takes hours to get out of bed. So I am going to start because I cant feel much worse than I do now. Another reason I was hesitant was because the longest living people in the world, in okinawa, have a lot of rice. Maybe all the fish and musbrooms they have counteract the negatives or theyre just more adapted to it than us
I could just hug you as a thank you for all that I've learned from you, I'm so happy, to be able to eat foods that I've always loved but felt guilty because it was bad for me 🙄! For me is not a diet is just the way I love to eat, even a cheat day for me don't include starch, I might have a bigger amount of nuts or cheese and I am good to go! Best doctor ever. ❤️🙏💙😘
Hi Dr. Ken. you have mentioned that you used to be morbidly obese. It would be nice if you could post some of those pictures. It's fun to see "before vs after" photos for encouragement and motivation. Thanks for your informative and easy to understand videos. I have watched about all of them !!!
Since may 2021, went from 143 lbs to 132 and I HATED exercise so I just did meat n tuna, sardines and Himalayan salt from dollar general. Now I have so much energy I exercise because I can’t help it! My A1C was 5.7 and can’t wait to see what it will be when tested next. My budget is actually better because I eat less often and no “sides”. Highly recommend. I’m 5’1”
Hi Dr. I been following and I been feeling way much better but I am not losing weight fast I been doing this for 8 months but i feel much better thank you
Thank's for doing what you do - going against the "grain" of the culture to help so many more people then just those that walk through your office. I'm down 40 pounds since June. I've stalled but I know why - to many carb's, good and some bad. No more BP med's . Again thank's and God bless.
Man thx to you I loose weight like crazy 156kg down to 86kg eating 5000-6000 calorie a day carnivore and have more energy a day I could spent in the gym. U saved my life. Need to add, I naturally eat intermittent or alternate day wise because there are days I have no hunger at all. Cravings gone completely. And I had an incredible binging eating disorder. No health issues anymore I'm fitter with 30 now than I Was in my whole life
You are so right Dr Berry I have told my friends I am not on a diet ... This is just my lifestyle and it is so easy ... I have 3 rules #1 No bad oils, no sugars or starches #2 If I am Hungry I Eat, I Do Not Eat Unless I am Hungry and I Never go Hungry #3 Eat until I am satisfied (see rule #1) and never feel guilty about how much I eat. I am 64, my blood work is excellent, BP Low Medium (used to be very High), I am 50lbs lighter and 11" less around the belly, I am on Zero Meds now and I feel great. I started this last year, My Fishing buddy and I weighed in and bet $100... I was 265lbs, 5' 8" and he was 270lbs, 5' 7" and the bet was he had "Real Doctors" and I'm just listening to "Internet Doctors" lets see which is right. He is 66 now and has passed 300lbs and has a whole stack of Meds he has to take every day, a Cardiologist and now has Kidney problems (seems he may also have memory problems as he forgot about the $100 bet) I did get him to throw out all of his "Vegetable Oil" except for Peanut Oil which he Fries Fish in and he has told me numerous times that he hates the smell of Beef Tallow and Lard (and yet I have watched him eat both) Doing my best to lead by example, hope that it isn't too late for him to change his mind (stubborn ol fart), he has a standard routine Whataburger BOB (Breakfast on a Bun) and Pancakes at 6:00, whatever Burger Combo w Soda and a Fried Pie at Noon and then Popeyes or ? and he loves his dessert. I don't Preach to him but I don't eat with him anymore either. I just did a 2 1/2 day Fast (I just wasn't Hungry) and he thought I was nuts so I reminded him of my 3 rules and it zoomed right over his head
TMB247 Great testimony. Funny and sad situation with your friend. I’m sure if he wasn’t in such a brain fog, he would be amazed at your transformation!
@@CarnivoreStork Actually he said he was proud of me... He just thinks what I'm doing is hard to do... (first Month wasn't fun but now it is just normal) He is set in his ways and his schedule and his Whataburger morning crowd friends, maybe I should join him and just drink coffee... but I'd end up preaching ;^)
So many doctors just honestly don't know what eating too many carbs does to their patient's blood glucose. Thank goodness, many patients are teaching their doctors!
@@KenDBerryMD yah. My MD was worried I was having a crash diet, I said I'm doing keto and I feel great. My meds were reduced to one mg from 4 mg last month. Can't thank YOU enough for all the info you share. I'll definitely be sharing it as well.
I know this works. Seven years ago I did the 5:2 diet when it first came out in the U.K. Intermittent fasting helped me lose 42 lbs but my goodness it was hard. I didn’t keep the weight off because once I came off the I F the carbs kicked back in - along with wrongly prescribed steroids. Have tried Keto because I have Rheumatoid Arthritis I’m desperate to try and control. Have been on Keto for about five weeks, no carbs whatsoever, no grains, no deadly nightshade plants. Have lost 19 lbs, the IF is a breeze, I am NEVER hungry. It’s as if my body has turned to default and I just don’t feel the need to eat every single day or in fact ever if I’m not hungry, I know because of Dr Berry that’s how my body is supposed to work. Before Keto I’m would have believed such a loss of appetite meant serious illness! Thanks to following Dr Ken and Dr Dan in the U.K I’m out of daily pain and am turning my life around. I was a depressed physical mess I’m turning back into a functioning human being again. If I wasn’t English I’d probably cry with gratitude for these Doctors! Seriously if you are researching Keto and IF give it a go - I promise you it works.🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻✌🏻🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹❤️🏴
So happy for you! My friend has reversed his RA with Dr Berry's advice as well... off his drugs and healing. And Main Stream Medicine (MSM) tells these poor souls that it's irreversible.
I really need to watch all your videos. I’m desperate to get healthy. I’m 47, work full time, have fibromyalgia, idiopathic neuropathy idiopathic hypersomnia. Now I’m pre-diabetic, fat and always in pain and lethargic. And now my blood pressure is high. I absolutely feel addicted to breads, grains, sugars and carbs. Quitting smoking 21 years ago was easier than it is to lose weight. My dr doesn’t help me. I went in for my blood pressure and he put me on Zoloft. I tried it for about two weeks and stopped it made me numb. I don’t want to be numb I need to find out how to be healthy and every where I turn is poison! Everything at the grocery stores is poison! I’m about to binge your videos.
I’m one pound down since yesterday...back to 12/12...back to basics! Keto 101! Turmeric milk at night...yummy! Slept like a baby! I don’t need to lower my set point, I needed to reset my way of thinking! It’s *OKAY* to get back to basics! I’m dropping these now 9 pounds...I had 7 😡😬😩💪🤣 I’ll shed this in a week.... Edit: people who think keto is just cutting out cereal or oatmeal don’t understand. It’s a *GAME* changer!
I need to get started. Thanks for the motivation. I am 280 lbs, sleep apnea, chest hurts, and knees and legs always in terrible pain, which means I'm not moving much. I'm too young for this.
Just stumbled across your channel today. Thanks for being real about health. So helpful as I am just in the first months of research and starting keto to heal my body the right way.
@@KenDBerryMD I share your information all the time!!! Sometimes it's hard to get people to listen. They just want to make excuses. Not me though, I have totally changed my body composition. Lost two clothing sizes. I love this lifestyle. Again, thank you!

This amazingly complete video plus one sequel video would be all that is needed to convince people of ketogenic diet and Intermittent fasting; namely, the Sequel could be called "Debunking all fears of protein/fat" as causing high blood pressure, high cholesterol (LDL vs. oxidized LDLs), artery clogging, fat weight gain (via fats), organ damage (via fats), kidney damage (via high protein), brain cell damage (via low to no carbs) and demything fears of eggs, bacon, animals fats, butter, meats, salt, etc. Thus, the first video adds new knowledge, whereas the second video undoes years of hard-held errors in diet/health thinking.
Dear Dr. Ken, I have been watching you from the UK. Thank you for your great work and care about your patients and many other people around the world. I wish you were my doctor. I have been on Keto for 4 weeks now. When I told my GP about this, I was told to get off it as it's unhealthy and just another fad. I don't know whether the GP really thought this or just saying it because they are trapped in the situation controlled by medical misconceptions and controls of big pharma and the NHS. Bless you for all the great work and information you impart upon us. Best wishes from rainy and grey London.
NHS are simply the delivery arm of Big Pharma. I can't believe that it is solely ignorance; I think they're protecting the money. Have you noticed how they take parents to court if they want to try non-NHS approved therapies for their dying children? Heaven forbid it works and dispels the myth around 'NHS approved' treatments! A friend the other day said that an NHS doctor threatened to withdraw all NHS care from the family if she refused to have her baby vaccinated........ That's not just ignorance, the coercion and blackmail. She felt so threatened that she agreed...There may be some good people working in the NHS front lines, but as an organisation, the NHS is evil I'm afraid.
I have followed Dr. Berry's advice for over a year now. I am like him and have to keep my carbs extremely low. I have lost a bunch of weight and off ALL meds now. I feel great!
I used to eat twice a week when I was 22.......can u imagine?..........this was my regimen............n work out 3 hrs a day............GOD..........i couldn't do this now............menopause sucks!
If you don't have a video talking the dangers of sugar, I would really like for you to make one. I think a lot of people do not know how dangerous sugar is.
I've been systematically working toward the "Sweet Spot" since after Thanksgiving dinner - 18 lbs ago. I didn't know about the peanut oil. One more thing off the shelf. Great video, thanks.
Really enjoying your approach Dr Ken! And enjoyed your great book, recommending it to my clients. I worked in medical research for years and agree with your outing of the 'lies your doctor told you'. Well done!
You are a great doctor and I appreciate the videos you have done. I was thinking about becoming a patron, but I changed my mind b/c in two separate videos you were advising your viewers to get rid of their spouses on the possibility of causing stress. Life is stressful. Are you going to advice people next to get rid of their job since that can be stressful? Like I said in the beginning you are a good doctor and thank you for the videos you created, but you aren't a marriage counselor. I hope you have a good day, congratulations on the new addition to you family and keep up the good work, with the exception! Thanks a lot
Great video. When doing this remember it’s a marathon and not a sprint. Also you will make a few mistakes. That’s a good thing, because it shows your going in the right direction. It’s like your on a sail boat. The wind changes and you adjust the sails and the rudder. Sometimes your sailing ⛵️ at an angle 📐 to your course, but you are still going on the general direction. You will go through storms and whiteouts, this is normal. As the Captain, you job is to reach your destination, their is no time limit... There never was. Remember you didn’t place a time limit when you and everyone sailed towards the end of the sea. Be happy that you have turned the ship 🛳 around. That’s enough. Then let nature carry you back. Let the wind take you home................
I have been tying Keto since mid November. I lost the water weight and bloat and maintained the loss through Christmas. Since the beginning of January, I've only lost another 5 lbs. I eat my first meal at 12:00 (I'm a teacher and that is when my lunch break is). I try to finish my second meal by 6:00 p.m. I feel great, but am disappointed with the lack of weight loss.
Keto is high protein, VERY low carb. Eliminate ALL sugar from your diet & you’ll see results. Drink ONLY water. I lost 35 lbs doing Keto. Anything in a bag or box - avoid, even if the label says Keto. A good portion of meat & a small amount of dark green vegetable (spinach, broccoli, brussel sprouts, asparagus, kale). Berries are okay (strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries) - they are high on fiber & low on the glycemic index. Avoid restaurants & frozen microwave meals labeled Keto. You have to COOK for Keto to be successful.
Thank you Dr Berry. You don’t know how much you’ve changed my life.. I’ll be forever grateful 🙏🏾♥️ the knowledge is on point and you’ve helped my epilepsy and hypothyroidism more that any of my doctors ever! Bless up and give thanks 🙏🏾♥️ Oh, btw, what can you do if you’re carnivore, on omad and fasting about 24hrs daily, but fat loss has stalled? I have beef or lamb, fatty, eggs, butter and hard cheese. Am I doing something wrong?
KenDBerryMD thanks for responding Dr Berry, I fell reassured. I’ve only been carnivore since 10th December 2019. I’m doing it for health but have lost 30lb so that’s a very welcome side effect 😊 Bless up from over here in the uk! One love 🇯🇲🇬🇧

Thanks Doctor Berry!
Is sesame seed oil good or bad?
Good, as long as it ain't industrially derived. Here in China, it's extracted without any industrial intervention
Thanks, KB, another great video. But I would have entitled it "Nine hormones corrected by keto". To suggest that the content is focused on burning fat faster (any more or less than your other vids) seems a little off point to me. Just saying...

Thanks for sharing this information with your viewers ! "
I lost 135lbs doing this. Not only that, I normalized:
-heart rate
-blood pressure
-cured type II diabetes
-cured sleep apnea
-alleviated headaches and lower back pain
-normalized my lipid panel
-I have kept the weight off for more than a year without trying
Thank you Ken, for the new lifestyle and for helping so many people.

Going against the grain... great low carb pun.
@@nathansmith6914 you're the first one to carch that!
Congratulations! Amazing results. I too have had great success. Keep up the good work.
Wow! That is amazing! Good for you and I wish you well in maintaining it.
Big grats! Do you have loose skin? Can you list two or three positive changes?
Great work!
Well done, keep it up
Dr. Berry is an example of what a doctor should be - a true healer - not a pill pusher who is "trained" by big Pharma reps. If we had more docs like him we would be a nation of far healthier people instead of medicated zombies. Keto and Intermittent fasting work incredibly well for me!
Robert Laslo I agree with you. Well said. 👍
Is he real doctor?
Yes Dr Berry is an MD Family Medicine. I wish he was my Dr 😢
Over 20 years experience.
He was one of the early critics of so many statins, and made such an impact that both his home and his clinic were burned down to the ground.
Agree 100%.
Congratulations!! 👏👏
Thanks Dr. Berry!!
Now help your friends and family join you
Congratulations 🎈- keep going!
As of this Saturday I'm down 100 lbs. Took 7 months. 30 lbs to go.
Awesome! Now you get to help others learn
@@KenDBerryMD that is my goal. Looking into becoming a Keto nutritionist. Thank you for all your help along this journey.

I follow this doctor in just over 3 months I have lost 20 kg or just over 44 pounds
Dr Berry understands nutrition more than anyone i know of.

I'm 70 and don't need any medications. xxoo Doc thank you.
I’m going to send the link to this video to everyone I know! I sure wish you and the internet were around 30 years ago!! Thank you so much!
I love these quick, straight to the point videos without all the fluff. Thank you.
Many others
Listen to all and you will find what works for you.

Well said! I have had a similar experience!
Rue ridge hey, congratulations on 105 pounds, gone! Hey, how often do you do that fasting? Once a week? Every few days? I'm just starting keto.
@@GreatGrannyFreeBird I'm trying to find this out myself. I could definitely see myself doing the 72 hr fast every week and enjoying it. I just want to make sure it isn't recommended against.
I'm on day 2 of my second week. Not hungry at all. I dig it!
Thanks!!!
Can u remember which video it was or what minerals to take? I'm suffering terribly with headaches.🙏🙏🙏
Hey, I absolutely agree, I really want my content to be as informative as Ken Berry's one day. Congratulations on your weight loss so far!
Congrats!!
Unfortunately went off low carb/ keto during the holidays, these videos help me to get back on track, feeling better already!
corrie kotulak same here! I enjoy eating holiday food. Love these videos for getting back serious.
corrie kotulak I did too.
Phase II for me, has been amazing on my refocus and frustration. Hope that helps anyone that may need it 😊
* This is what happened for me, everyone is different *
@@bolo0708 glad you mentioned this! I'm realizing that taking that time has been beneficial for me as well.
@@bolo0708 phase 2 😁
Ketovore lil over 2yrs now. Gained 18lbs and I've never felt better! No food is worth stopping this way of life!
You gained 18 pounds on ketovore
I started a month ago and I already notice the healthy benefits and blotting going away and my joint pain go away .
After a few days I actually slept 6 hours I have not done that since 2003. I am a severe insomniac. I hope this continues. Thank you.

You know you saved me from that ready to take a nap at my desk after imbibing a sub sandwich pre diabetic stage to 80% carnivore🎉❤️.
From 86kg down to 81kg
Im down to 81kg after 1 week of keto.
Lost 5kg or 11 pounds
Excited to check again after 1 month or so.
Thanks!
I see a Dr. Barry video pop up in my feed. And I like before even watching. And I'm never disappointed.
20 days in and 15lbs down! Love your videos, I keep sharing with everyone! Can you do a video on menstruation changes with diet? I know it's cringe but I see that question a lot in Keto groups! Anyway, commited 100% to this way of eating!
I would like to know the same thing.
Can u tell me how u loss that much
You are like my medical guru that I go to , ask for advice and listen to your teachings... really appreciate it for all you do
I would love to see you on the Dr.
Does it matter if you don’t eat the whole amounts of protein and good fats that is allowed. I find this extremely difficult.
Merrie Fairbanks look up Dr Eric Westman. He and Dr Berry make it pretty simple.
With keto I’ve lost 101 pounds , my doctor hates it , and no doctor I’ve saw ever recommends it but it works for me and I’ve dropped two meds and was pre diabetic . I’ve still have around 50 pounds to loose .
Sadly most Main Stream Medical practitioners are simply the delivery arm of Big Pharma. Heathy patients = loss of earnings. They won't like Keto.
I had to watch this twice and take notes. Great information, thanks Doc!
Second weigh-in (day 14/15) begins with total loss of 5.85kg (12.3 pounds)... I'm proud of myself.
That’s awesome!!!
I’m proud of you too, hang in there buddy
No health issues anymore I'm fitter with 30 now than I Was in my whole life
You are so right Dr Berry
I have told my friends I am not on a diet ...
He is 66 now and has passed 300lbs and has a whole stack of Meds he has to take every day, a Cardiologist and now has Kidney problems (seems he may also have memory problems as he forgot about the $100 bet)
I did get him to throw out all of his "Vegetable Oil" except for Peanut Oil which he Fries Fish in and he has told me numerous times that he hates the smell of Beef Tallow and Lard (and yet I have watched him eat both)
Doing my best to lead by example, hope that it isn't too late for him to change his mind (stubborn ol fart), he has a standard routine Whataburger BOB (Breakfast on a Bun) and Pancakes at 6:00, whatever Burger Combo w Soda and a Fried Pie at Noon and then Popeyes or ? and he loves his dessert.
I don't Preach to him but I don't eat with him anymore either.
I just did a 2 1/2 day Fast (I just wasn't Hungry) and he thought I was nuts so I reminded him of my 3 rules and it zoomed right over his head
Wow you are inspiring!! 👍🏼👏🏼Your friend is lucky to have you. I hope he comes around🙏🏼
TMB247
Great testimony. Funny and sad situation with your friend.
I’m sure if he wasn’t in such a brain fog, he would be amazed at your transformation!
@@CarnivoreStork
Actually he said he was proud of me... He just thinks what I'm doing is hard to do... (first Month wasn't fun but now it is just normal)
He is set in his ways and his schedule and his Whataburger morning crowd friends, maybe I should join him and just drink coffee... but I'd end up preaching ;^)
I hope your buddy gets on board soon so you dont lose him ❤️
Just what I needed. Thanks! Please keep helping us.
My doctor was surprised with my glucose results only after a month. Thanks to Doc!
Lost 10 lbs sinds New Years without being hungry even once. Just been eating lots of pork and steak. Thanks doc!
Thanks for this great information Dr. Berry. Your videos have changed my life dramatically! Please keep it coming!
I will keep the videos coming if you promise to share your story with all who need to hear, because so many are suffering
@@KenDBerryMD I share your information all the time!!! Sometimes it's hard to get people to listen. They just want to make excuses. Not me though, I have totally changed my body composition. Lost two clothing sizes. I love this lifestyle. Again, thank you!
@@KenDBerryMD My hubs and I had a keto group even before we found out about you, but we give you and others like you credit for helping continue our education on this WOE. We have over 33k people in our group now, trying to help as many as we can. My hubs and his friend also wrote a book about sharing their experiences. There's nothing more satisfying than helping other people to see there is a better way, then getting to see their joy when they realize they've improved their health, lost weight, etc.!
Thank you I am down 60lbs
Well said❤
I have been tying Keto since mid November.
Bless up and give thanks 🙏🏾♥️
Oh, btw, what can you do if you’re carnivore, on omad and fasting about 24hrs daily, but fat loss has stalled? I have beef or lamb, fatty, eggs, butter and hard cheese. Am I doing something wrong?
Nope. Your body is taking a break. Be patient, and keep doing what you know to be right, the results will soon come.
KenDBerryMD thanks for responding Dr Berry, I fell reassured. I’ve only been carnivore since 10th December 2019. I’m doing it for health but have lost 30lb so that’s a very welcome side effect 😊
Bless up from over here in the uk! One love 🇯🇲🇬🇧
@@No_Frills_Carnivore I may die herbivore but won't be a carnivore ever.
PPS that’s entirely up to you.
Thanks for restoring my hope and answer my prayers on how to lose weight and restore many health problems, diabetes, high blood pressure, pain, fatigue, etc., etc.! Thanks for all your help! God bless you!!
I think I have watched almost all of your videos. Love and appreciate your work! This video is excellent!
