This node is turning out to be a great time saving in the long run ..again thank you sir!
Dang, I didn't even know there was a gradient node. Thanks man!
Great! I've been inside of what you call "artist block " rn for a few days. With this I have a bunch of new ideas!
Texture nodes are really fun to experiment with. Thanks for sharing!
Very cool, man there are so many nodes with so many possibilities.
Really nice idea! With some of the added capabilities of the Noise Texture in 2.91, you can get some effects which look very much like pen and ink strokes. Lots of new possibilities! Thanks!
Thank you i just started sharing i was thinking of it for a long time and this is really fun i see no limits to what can he created thx
Loved this gradient shader!!
Nice Tutorial On Gradient Node Simple And Concise To The Point
This video is literally what I’ve been wondering how to do in blender. And I wasnt even looking yet.
this is amazing! just what Ive been looking for, thanks )
Thank you, great tutorial
As usual amazing always...short but really helpful sir
Deepak Jangir glad you liked it
Thanks for this.. I'm watching it trying to work out how to get a volume material to display as a thin layer just inside the surface of a sphere, while leaving the center empty. Maybe something along the lines of what you do in this video will help but it's gonna take some working out.
I know im super late but i just watched this and did some tinkering.
mix your image texture at the end with the color ramp with a multiply node.
really nice paint / dirt / weather look and oh so easy compared to some of the masking videos ive seen.
this is exactly what i was looking for, thanks!!!
wow this is awesome thanks!
YAY! I love it!!! Thank you Mr DUCKY!!!
Benedict Madrazo thanks
Thanks! This is great to play around with.
Very helpful tutorial.Thanks a lot.
Thaaaaaaank youuuuuuuuuu fir this video! OMG! It hit the spot.
Thank you for saving my time.
Very helpful! Thank you man!!!
For anyone wondering why Voronoi is different in 2.90.1, use the following settings:
3D
Smooth F1
Euclidean
Smoothness: 0
Randomness: 1
If you want to animate it and make it look bubbly, use the following Voronoi settings:
4D
F1
Euclidean
W: *Animate this value at an extremely low rate*
thank you!
err wait a minute. this didnt work...Idea why?
Hi and great tuts as usual. Do you know how to apply the gradient just to the edges of a shape, say a plane or something like a leaf? Thanks.
I love it. Thanks!
This is just amazing! And so simpe
Thank you so much! !!
Very cool stuff
Great video!
dude, you're so good, make a video about smoke
Amazing tutorial! Now I can add ice caps to my procedural planets
thanks its so helpful
Very cool
Awesome!
great Tutorial man
SAURABH TEMBHURNE thanks
Is there a way to drive the orientation and position of the gradient with an object/empty? It would allow for animating the gradient in a more interesting way...
thank you!!!!
OMG THANK YOU SO MUCH
Finally tutorial uploaded! About a week ago i saw your instragram post where you did use this material and btw why are you not using "nate stuff" as youtube channel name? It sounds much better in my opinion.
otto.moilanen idk really, just liked ducky I guess
Don’t listen to him Ducky 3D is far superior
Gradient nodes are like your channel... *insert some kind of cool compliment here*
Erik Riccioppo lol thanks man
Is there a way to make lighting look like this? Like, give a texture to the edges of light that hits an object?
Awesome tut!,.... is there a way to give the separated colors different materials? my idea is to make the voronoi texture emit light, and the black to be or just black or something else. thnx in advance!
John Kho yea use a mix shader and plug the gradient stuff into the factor
Great thank you
thank you
in such a tutorial can you also show how to properly light a scene in eeve? so that it can be a stand alone tutorial!
works great I want to add a bump as well, but plugging the setup in to the bump shader gives a bit of noise with a weird plateau?
Took me 2 days to find this video. I just want to know if I can make one side of the gradient transparent. Im trying to fade out hair.
I have been trying to figure this out for 2 months
Hmmm! A procedural way of making Kirby Krackle. Nice!
madmanarrivednow definitely
Do you do recommendations/challenges? Can we get a tutorial on planets? Like Alien: Isolation main menu style, full detail, animated gas giants? That would be amazing :)
If you are interested, I have a high resolution video for reference.
@@markmarketing7365 You'll want to check out Aidy Burrows' and Gleb Alexandrov's Space VFX series. They cover exactly that, among a host of other topics. I highly recommend it. It's a bit pricey, but you get a lot of (big) bang for your buck.
yesss
oh yes!
CGMatter mmmm maybe
cool
Please help ...how can we make this react to the direction of light?
Great tutorial!
but how do I replace the black and white with textures? ._.
There are small tabs (tiny boxes he moves around at 1:15-1:20) on the color ramp node, as you select them a box below the pos: box will change based on the one you have selected and by clicking on that box you should be able manipulate the color of the tab you have selected. hope this helps. Also on a side note most of the time allowing your mouse to hover over things and reading what they do will help quite a bit with understanding the functionality.
OK, how do I apply a material to use on my gradient?
Hey, can you make a video on the transition materials you talked about? Thanks!
Master Dhdj I put that on Patreon, that’s an exclusive
Just keyframe it, you can can keyframe anything in Blender
@@TheDucky3D Ok Thank you
possible to make one color (white or black) invisible/transparent ?
Yes, just change the transparency value (abbreviated as A) to whatever you want it to be, which is 0 for completely transparent.
Use a brush on half a page and then turn it around for an easier ball
Trying to figure out how to mix this so that one of the colors is an emission... any thoughts?
@@Maririthetako when I did that, the dark portion was washed out. I was hoping to use some of the features of the principled shader ro make the dark portion look plastic like, with the other lighter color an emission.
@@Maririthetako Thanks, checking it out now. **Edit** This looks great! Thanks kindly. I see they made changes to the principled shader as well.
EDIT: You have to select the node you want to add the mapping node to before you hit Ctrl+T. I hope this helps someone else!
(SOLVED) I have the Node Wrangler addon enabled, but can't get it to work. Anyone else having issues with Blender not responding to the Ctrl+T command (or any Node Wrangler commands, for that matter)?
SImple and nice thanks ! :)
Ray Schwarz thank you
More on proceduralss
Saumil sunil Shah I will be
MAPPING in my Wrangler is DIFFERENT!
As soon as you pressed ctrl + t the texture just went pink for me and I have tried everything to fix it😡 can some one help me please?
Try ctrl or Cmd + shft + T
No sorry that didn’t work thanks for trying though.
voronoi texture not applicable to v2.82 +
Do you know if there’s a different texture I can use to replace the circle-effect like in the video?
@@aiden_obj not yet
happening to me too 2.84
cool vid are u self-thought?
kumar saarthak yep self taught
udah
Thanks, but your volume is to low.
fix your volume.
na.
I hate nodes.
This is great thanks!
