That is Lincoln on the US penny. We call them stinking Lincoln’s when we find them lol
Watching him get really excited over a US penny is really fun to watch. Great content.
9:00 that’s an amazing red one cent with Abraham Lincoln on the obverse side
The U.S. coin is a Penny with the bust of Abraham Lincoln. The date of the coin makes it a fully copper penny, as opposed to ones minted after 1981 which are zinc with copper coating. So, nice find.
LOL I got a kick when you found the US penny. All the pennies since 1909 had Abe Lincoln on the front..those after 1959 had the reverse design that you found..not a sought after coin at all...we call pennies from this period "Stinkin' Lincoln's"...usually a disappointing find when you were hoping for a Wheatie (pennies prior to 1959)
Fun video..subbed
Just ran across your channel and find it great. I'd watch your videos just to hear you talk and you are very funny too. Love the British. From your friend in the U.S.
Thanks and welcome :)
Great haul mate! Well worth doing the beach after a storm.
Inspirational! Thank you.
Great video :-). Out of curiousity, what do you do with the lead you find? Is that something you just need to dispose of, or is there some kind of market for it?....sorry if that comes across as a silly question, I've just seen you find pieces on several of your videos, & I was wondering.
Hi Hi! I save it up, and scrap it in :)
Me, an American: *Sees a penny* *leaves it*
British dude: COOOOOL
Sera Lune Probably the same the other way round?
We don’t get to see many Americans pennies here. I’m guessing you don’t get to see many medieval hammered coins either 👍🏻😁
@@Addictedtobleeps Nope! Believe me I'm excited when I get a Canadian penny, lol.
We do the same to a one Pence
That is a 4 headed lion ..... called as Ashok Pillar . Of INDIA . Its a 2 Paise. Now a days they are not used or minted.
With Love from Guwahati Assam INDIA
Thanks Samarijit!
I am better now that you put out another video to make my day a little better. :-)
Hi, Did you say we can take old coins into the bank and change them? thanks for your videos as a newbie here
You smashed it Kris. Hoping to have a day like that soon. I did find a few in my next video. But not as many as you.. but I can live with that... It's you 😉
How so u get premisson. For beach metal detecting
Hi bleeps. Always happy to see you back on the bleep again 😃Good thing, you removing all the poisonous lead of the beach 👌🏻Hope you also took the fishing lines with you, to dispose of? Cheers 🍻
Of course my friend :)
The first coin I ever found was a Lincoln memorial cent in the play area of our complex. I detect pretty much only beaches here in Canada, but all my beaches are freshwater, so our modern silver coins rust! I will be over there detecting beaches and moors in April after Detectival.
I found a "copper olive" on Weymouth beach, all green and crusty. My son decided to clean it, and it ended up being a hallmarked 9ct gold ring. Can be lots of copper in 9ct. It's only just over a third pure gold.
Really interesting to know. Thanks!

Scott M correctomundo!now what about the largest note ever printed by the US?
The $100,000 US bill!
fiermonte83 wow, not sure on that one.
great vid love watching you brings smile on me face every time . take care bud
@9:14 Ah the chem trails are lovely this time of year in England lmao
Wow lots of coins! Nice hope I have that kind of luck tomorrow on the beach 😃
More great tips and great fun, thanks! Our Canadian coins have the Queen on them.
Nice several more times the detector pays for its self 👍
Not bad going this time of year. good amount there. WD. 🙂👍
Greetings from Gallatin TN USA, great video very funny!
Abe says Good day to you as well 🤣
Do you also take the nylon fishing line off the beach too once u cut the weights free?? Hopefully u take it too the bin so birds or fish or kids etc don't get hooks into them .birds get them in there throats etc..just looked as though you threw it to one side and carried on detecting!!!???
As I’ve said a couple of times - of course I picked it up. As well as everyone else’s rubbish, which I always do!
good fun as always watching your vids!
Quite entertaining! Thanks for the chuckles!
Cracking haul you got there bud. Maybe they should call the next one "Storm Ginger" in honour of your glowing locks and whiskers ATB MMMD
Another enjoyable hunt and Vid. ( I had no problems wiv Camera use at all..! Some people are never happy..!)
Great haul, will be looking at Beach Pebbles differently in future.
Happy Hunting, keep vids coming. Please.
Cheers kim from Oz. 😎
you know if you post it to me here in Australia its worth almost twice that
Was you using standard beach mode 1 or did you change the settings? Cheers.
Beach one old chap 👍🏻
Your hysterical!
Holly cow what a great hunt AND and American coin!! I think that is the 2nd one you've come across lol.
Nice to catch up on all your video budfy
it's mr abe Lincoln Kris not mr washington :0) some nice finds and lots of money :0)
lincoln cents were made of copper until 1982, after that they switched to zinc...grrr....
Great vid man very enjoyable :)
I am very surprised you did not find any Martini-Henry bullets etc considering where you were at.
Fun hunt! :) GL &HH
Stinking Lincoln , I believe they nicknamed that coin . Love beach hunts , well done Sir . A very nice piggy bank there , shame the ring is not gold , but a ring is a ring . Thumbs up
Actually most of the time we(Americans) call them pennies
Congrats on a fruitful hunt Sir.
Storm Brendan was kind to me as well, you gotta love a post storm detect 🌬🌊👍🏻
Nice I'm gunna do that
Watching now as I speak! I love your videos mate 👌 keep up the good work 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I hope you picked up that fishing likne at 3.56, and didn't leave it to tangle some poor birds ~(feathered kind!) legs!
Of course, my friend :)
I also pick up bottles and rubbish I find as well.
The American Penny, cost more to make than it's worth.
Nice, with that haul you actually paid the gas and maybe had a little something! Wish I found that quantity!
Man, you are a lot of fun to watch, and your finds are spectacular!!! Thanks for sharing. I hope my channel is as entertaining as yours someday, I’ve only just started. Also, Abe Lincoln is the pres on the penny. Good day to you sir
Great hunt my friend...
Never seen as much found before..👍
Cant wait till you go out again..👊
What settings do you use for the nox on the beach I've never detected on the beach before even though there is one literally 5mins from my house lol
Hi Hi! Just the beach one setting with no changes, other than how high you can get the sensitivity. Its perfect :)
@@Addictedtobleeps good man cheers👍👍👍
Great video as usual mate I don’t know how true it is but they say they name the storm after the person who spots it👍
think one of those £2 had a victoria head, it would be a collectors coin..
Hilarious as usual 👍
The president on the US Cent is Abraham Lincoln. George Washington is on the Quarter. I'm curious about the value of your lead sinkers. I find at least 2 pounds of lead at my local river every time I go out detecting. Do you sell your sinkers? If so, do you sell them as they are or do you melt them down into ingots? I would assume there would be more value in having them already formed as sinkers but I don't know who I could sell them to. Frankly, I'm getting tired of digging them but I don't have much of a choice given the area is highly fished. If I had a way to make good money off of them I might not be so frustrated with digging them. Any tips you have on cashing in lead fishing weights would be appreciated. The same probably goes for lures. I am accumulating quite a collection of used lures that must have some value to someone.
@Deborah Shaw We recycle lead here as well, but the scrap price is pretty low. Ranges from 15 cents to 35 cents a pound right now. I was hoping for a bit better return. A fisherman buying lead fishing weights would probably pay somewhere between five and eight dollars a pound for them in new condition. If I could get two dollars a pound for them I'd be very happy.
Hi Hi!
I tend to do one of two things. If there's fishermen about, I just give them to them. They always appreciate them.
If not, I have a bucket at home with all my lead in (from land hunts as well) and i just build it up over the year. At the end of the year I take it to the scrap yard, and cash it in. Lead can be worth a pretty penny in bulk!
wet and windy is a good name
that american coin was and still is a Lincoln penny
Wow! Great finds I'll have to start metal detecting on Llandudno beach just live 3 mins away. If I can find a lot of money each day I could live off it be fantastic
Well done!
I hope you are taking that lost line away for proper disposal.
Of course 👍🏻
Well done. You might be surprised how many (or not) of weight finders (not detecting) simply cut off the end trace and leave the rest.
I've been beach cleaning for decades without realising I was doing it. Regards, Paul.
Paul Hodder I know Paul, I see bits of line all over the place. Also rusty knives and scissors dropped by Fishermen.
I also pull off any old rubbish like plastic bottles etc when there’s space in my bag 👍🏻
It is quite amazing how much junk I clean up after a hunt on the beach. Always a couple of bottles and a handful of fishing line. It's good to know us detectorists are doing our bit 👍 super stuff peeps 👌
Your haul just covers your fuel costs 👍🏻keep up the great work
we yanks call that penny a stinkin' Lincoln
My bank stopped accepting old pound coins last summer... they still show up in change occasionally, quite a nuisance.
Good video... :)
They still take mine at barclays bank.
Trev Surfs - I bank with Lloyds... next time I get an old pound, I'll pop into Barclays. :)
Ah ha! Another fine video Sir. 👍
I use an old pound coin for the supermarket trolleys at Tesco.
I’m no expert; but, what you think might be part of an old Roman coin could actually be a Russian wire coin. I’ve seen a few and they appear to be about the same shape and size. It’s worth looking into. Good luck with your hunts!
Storms strip the lighter sand, and the heavy stuff stays behind.
Lmao loved the intro 😂
The newer American pennies don't last long outside in the weather. They don't have much copper in them like the 1975 penny has. The newer pennies end up like that piece of coin that you found,,,,,,,,Everything today is cheaper,,,,,,,,,,,,
Awesome video! Catching up! ❤️ I wish our beaches were good to detect! 🙄
Gloves, winning ❤️
Those new £1 pounds are only just in circulation - how the hell have you found so many?! Lol
Mikey Three years now! That’s a lot of time to get lost :D
Do u sell some of your coins mate? Not the super high numismatic valued ones, just basic silvers like two shillings, n Florins etc? 🤔
I haven't yet, Ken!
Subbed you!
Why don't u use a Pinpointer?
I see one of my American friends dropped a Mr Lincoln 1p lol. That's his memorial on the reverse. Nice coinage today mate. I could get about 8 gal. of fuel over here. HH
Its not 1p we use the word 1 cent not 1 penny or 1 pence
@@johngreen3543 It was a joke.
Like 👍your style and edit.
Sadly the three headed Indian horses were hunted to extinction by 1985. ;)
Love the hunt the US. Coin is our penny with our 16th president Abraham Lincoln . Keep the videos coming brother.
Subbed!
You now need to buy fish n chips with the cash , great hunt
Honest Abe Lincoln
you can donate old style pound coins to kent air ambulance
Lincoln! But that's okay. I've no idea about your various Georges.
To be fair, I’ve not got too much of a clue about all of the George’s, either. Other than there was way too many of them.
They could have named it after Bruce Lee's son . . he was also a kung fu artist brandon lee who died on set making a film called The Crow he was shot there was meant to be blank bullets in the gun but suspiciously there wasn't
I know it well. I was obsessed with it all at the time. Saw the Crow the day it came out in cinemas, and then we went back and watched it again in the evening. I think I went through about three tapes, listening to the soundtrack over the years.
My friends and I were so obsessed about it that my close mate (who died last year) even named his Son Brandon, and has a little Crow emblem on his grave.
@@Addictedtobleeps wow that's crazy . . Specially me bringing up the topic and your obsession with the whole story I've only seen the film once and to be honest I can hardly remember so I might have to watch it again . . Sorry to hear about your friend kris . ..Your a good egg . . Crazy as a box of frogs but you've got a good heart
@@Addictedtobleeps how spooky would it be if they actually named the storm after Brandon Lee that would be insane . . Going to look into it
Lincoln on bust
They should name the storm after you. . Storm kris lol your Stark raving mad my good sir
GLOVES !!!!!!!! ARE YOU TARGETING DOG SHIT?
if you ever find Canadian dollar/two dollar coins we call em loonies and toonies over here! :)
Lincoln, not washington
niceone!!
The president is Lincoln, but I don't know your coins either.
we wants the precious
Ever wonder why people take coins out to beach to start with ???
BS Detector Probably to buy things.
It Lincoln on the penny and since it’s before 1981 it’s copper
I believe you might be slightly insane and I quite like that. A little like myself. Oh and by the way I subscribed. Very entertaining
Looks like hoard to me good on that man

You make a good pirate
You should have kept on and had a week off work lol
