Hi Bleeps, I've only just found this video Feb 21. As a child I grew up on Camber Sands, I used to live in the Kit Kat Cafe there. There was no practice of the D-Day invasion held there, that took place at Slapton Sands in the West Country. However, many films & TV series used the beach as locations, such as; Dunkirk (1958), Carry on Follow that Camel, Summer Holiday, The Prisoner (TV), and a few TV commercials, and some other short films for music videos. Also in the dunes there are about 4 Pill Boxes. As a kid we used to go looking for money in the winter, this was long before metal detectors were being used by the public. We used to walk along the beach looking for coins that were exposed by the wind, yes it was quite profitable. We also found numerous other items washed ashore, Paraffin Wax (good for lighting fires), coco nuts, shipwrecks just to name a few. Back then there were no beach cleaning machines or such things, so now the beach is very "sterile". Anyway good hunting & exploring
Oh I miss the UK that looks like a great beach. ! Im originally from Buckinghamshire but now living in Hong Kong. So really appreciate your channel and the common interest in metal detecting. Keep the videos flowing, love them. Scuba Guy
Dunno why but I really enjoyed this video. No spectacular finds but just a few blokes having a fun afternoon out together. The roundup of finds at the end of the day was very entertaining!
Trev Surfs Yea, don’t look too closely at the scoop though Trev. A friend of a friend made it for me to test...with a metal that doesn’t get on with salt water 😂
Ah Camber sands living in Bexhill it’s not to far away but its detected to death. But still I’m drawn to visit it 3 or 4 times a year. Looks like you all had fun thanks for sharing.👍👍
See you are using a minelab equinox 800. I likebit a lot but can't afford one right now. Bit pricy so I use the ace 300 and an old vallon vmh3cs on the beach. Nice weather. Might get back to the uk next year. Cheers mate.
Sir your a legend, Keep up the awesome vids, best on UA-cam by a long way, and believe me iv been watching hundreds the past few months, Thanks again for the info, Top job, Top man,👍🏻
Brilliant video Mr Bleeps , Not a keen beach detectorist but since i bought the HF coil think its time for a try out , l=All the best from me and the zepster
Heya. I recently arrived in the UK from South Africa. I am up in Manchester. Would not mind joining you guys for a hunt some time. I have been finding old 1800s settler artifacts back home.
Went on holiday down that way about 13 years ago. Stayed at Pontins! Lol!! Absolutely love Rye, fish & chips are bloody expensive though!! Great session bud, I was guessing what the targets were by the numbers you were showing, got most right 😎 I really, really need to get out & start filming again, just hasn't been happening lately. Keep it up dude #TeamNox 🤞
Loved this video, it looked like a lot of fun was had. Keep up the good work fella 👍 I'm expecting my shiny new Equinox 800 to arrive tomorrow 😊 and by sheer coincidence I have the day off work. 😃
Really sorry I couldn't make it down with Jez this time! Got something in the pipeline though. Will let him know! Well done on the finds! , I never have a lot of luck down there!
All the expensive Detectors, yet they still find about the same as I find with my Garrett 150. Just goes to show its all about knowing your beeps...great vids by the way...
I have not tryed the beach yet live close but not yet tryed it but I can tell you what iam going to try it as soon as lock down is over lol gold 20p u had me in stitches that made me laugh so much wake up my whole house lol lol miss said what's happened lol said it's ok just watching my bro Metaldetecting love it brother
Oh Bleeps! I am so happy to see you all on the beach having fun! did your friend ever get to the bottom of that hole? or did you leave him there digging?
How are people losing soooo many pound coins. You look very comfortable with the Nox. Great video Kris. Loving Millie. Can't understand a word he says 😂 😂. ♥
The Discriminator Metal Detecting Neither do I! 😂 RE the pounds. I found a spot which was kinda like a huge pool, and for some reason - I think probably because of the density of a pound, they seemed to mostly congregate in that area. 15 minutes before I got there, someone found a heavy gold ring in that area too. Which of course, is quite dense. I just really concentrated on that area. Really weird because I didn’t get ONE penny. Beach detecting can be a strange ‘ol game.
*170th like lol. Hi enjoyed this video. Excellent hauls, had a bad time with my deus on the wet sand. Gotta get me an Equinox for the beach! Nice one guys, ATB,GL&HH Mark
Hi, Me again, sorry about be a pain, Just about to pull the trigger on ordering a new machine, please advise, Cscope 6, or minlab 800 as an all rounder, Thanks again, Rich Isle of Wight 👍🏻
Hi Richard! I replied to your comment on the Cscope page earlier. If you want an all rounder, then go for the 800 absolutely. As I mentioned on the Cscope page, the 6 is not a dedicated beach machine (although there are some workarounds) The 800 is already set up for land AND beach, and run equally as well on both. So thats why I'd recommend it. Its more expensive, but worth it in my opinion. Hope it helps! :)
You probably know this, but behind Cheriton, on the other side of the motorway, is a hill line (ridge line) that was part of a pilgrimage route from Dover to Canterbury that apparently has something to do with Chaucer’s Canterbury tales. I bet there’s some history to detect up there.
I want to get into metal detecting after watching you, is there anything out there around the £100 or less mark to get me started? Also when you call out the numbers showing on your machine what do they represent?
Hi, Matt. £100 doesn't leave you many options, but if you were to go a little further, you could get an Ace 250, which has served many people very well. It's a very good introduction machine. www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00095ODBI/ref=as_sl_pc_qf_sp_asin_til?tag=httpwwwbleeps-21&linkCode=w00&linkId=897515bdd62d3573a16194e7b9674933&creativeASIN=B00095ODBI The numbers correspond to the potential of the target. It tends to be that the higher the number, the better the target. After a while, you can figure out what is beneath the coil from the target ID. Hope it helps!
I really like your video format and content. I have just started out with a new youtube channel in Australia called Bakerzinc and i have a question. What camera equipment do you use? Go pro? I dont want to waste too much money getting set up. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks and happy bleeping!!
I would like to start beach metal detecting in the UK. Can you recommend a detector for me that comes with everything i need? I don't want a rubbish one, something decent. Then i can upgrade when I'm more experienced. Thank you.
@@Addictedtobleeps Not necessarily, I'd like to do other detecting but the beach is where I'd prefer to do it. Is there specifically one type for beach detection?
Sir, A question I have you, ok just when you had convinced me to buy a Cscope 4or 6, I watch this vid and your now using a blinking 800 🤯, Explain yourself!! Please,🤪, New sub, Rich ,Isle of Wight,👍🏻
