I'm surprised to see another Redoran enjoyer. First house I did and now that I've done the rest, my thoughts have not changed, they're the best. I love the honourable warrior archetype in fantasy and as you mention, the way it's integrated into the main quest is all good stuff. Rewards are objectively the worst, but if you can't live off the dew on a single ginko leaf and the energy of the universe, you're not fit for most honourable house anyway.
I did Redoran last. I tend to play mage characters so I always just joined the Telvanni. But after completing the Redoran quests for the channel I could only think: damn, that was actually really good! It became by favourite questline after that.
Personally I've always figured it had more to do with the idea that you, the player, would already have capital from questing in other factions. I felt that the Great Houses were meant to be found and tackled after you did an imperial guild. Granted I'm also looking at that from my own lense of playing Morrowind when I was a wee child without the internet.

I have this theory that the Nerevarine would've joined house Redoran, because after the events of the game, when Oblivion, Argonian invasion of Morrowind, the Red Year all happen, Redoran take over as the leading faction because they're the only ones who have their s**t together and actually do something. When you join Redoran in Morrowind they are a bit on the backfoot, their leadership is old and rigid. So something must've changed between the time of the game and future events, and Nerevarine reforming the house makes the most sense.
Telvanni have their shit together too, it’s just their goals have nothing to do with running a functioning government or helping anyone. Even if they were the only surviving house in Morrowind they wouldn’t bother with administration because that detracts from important tasks such as Dwemer museum curation, kwama egg artistry, shroom cultivation, and daughter wife cloning
well, as much as i love redoran and am happy to see them becoming the saviors of morrowind, to be fair to the rest, it was always the most likely outcome. remember, house hlaalu was only as powerful as it was due to its close ties to the empire. most of hlaalu's power came from them. once the oblivion gates opened and the empire mostly withdrew from morrowind to deal with their own stuff in cyrodiil, they were basically powerless to do anything. heck, they aren't even a great house anymore by the time of skyrim. and given that the telvanni most of the time can't really be bothered to do anything that doesn't involve them directly, house redoran was really the only one who could have done anything. it of course also helped that they already were the most suited to take action anyways, since most of them are skilled warriors and thus invaluable during a war.
Personally I dislike the Imperial Legion because if you join them then get distracted from advancing their ranks, every guard in the universe sasses you for wearing non Legion armor. Gets annoying quickly.

The music is a combat track from Stronghold. Yeah, the _obvious_ choice here would be to just put Telvanni, but well, you heard what I said about that. Telvanni does have a lot of interesting characters but tbh you come across most of them more during the Hortator quest than the House questline. I'd say that in contrast, Redoran has a worse Hortator quest.

I would wish the "stronghold" you get was a tiny bit closer to Ald'ruhn. Or maybe if it was up North, close to Ald Velothi.. the garrison in Ald Velothi could use some reinforcements x)

Redoran is the best house lore-wise as well. The only one actually trying to defend Morrowind during the Empire invasion, the only one protecting it against the hordes of argonians, and the only one establishing order and rebuilding after the set of cataclysmic events, never bragging about it or asking for anything in return.

In retrospect, given Morag Tong's whole honour and professionalism character, that makes complete sense. It doesn't change that it makes it kinda dull to me, tho.

Only for me to turn on her and have her expelled and permanently removed from the game instead.😂 Screw "Souldrinker", that one got nerfed by rebirth anyways. Also, finishing Skink's questline will cause Trebonious to be fired, so you can take his job. Though he insists on sticking around and can be killer for his precious, precious loot. Afterwards I got the telvanni quest to overturn a monopol of the mages guild. The same Rhanys insisted on enforcing.😅
It's kinda sad how obscure this quest is while providing the best theory about dwemer and newer fans unfamiliar with it come up with some stupid shitty theories all the time, the other games ignoring that quest doesn't help either, like wtf Calcelmo, have you heard of Numidium ? Getting their lives taken, their armor sold for coin, and their souls sold to the Daedra (at least lore-wise, if you refuse to install the corresponding mods) is the ONLY treatment they deserve! How DARE you to do Great House Telvani so dirty? What about the Robe of the Drake's Pride? - They are Telvani - Why would you even want to return it? You also didn't mention the ring of equity - the ultimate "f-you" to any offensive spellcaster... Redoran first place? Really?! It's fine to go in blind. You can check key bindings in Settings if there's a need. The only thing I'd recommend is that you at least know the bare minimum of how combat works in the game.
