*It was so strange watching Godzilla (2014) with Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Pietro) and Elizabeth Olsen (Wanda) play husband and wife, then seeing them a year later playing brother and sister in this!* 🦖
This one feels like a worthy successor/follow-up for "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" - dark in tone, some of the discussions are very interesting to follow, some hard to swallow questions are being asked by both the villain and the heroes. Tony felt like he had a bit of a character regression or at the very least he didn't progress at all from Iron Man 3 - once again we see him haunted by the prospect of "what if New York went wrong?" scenario and he impulsively acts to try and prevent that. Bruce's softer side and his discussions/flirting with Natasha are one of the highlights, they match so well together, both broken in ways the others can't understand but somehow finding comfort in each other. Hawkeye got the most character development - discovering he has a whole family, tutoring the Maximoff twins, taking care of the team - both he and to a lesser degree Natasha are the "relatable" ones. Natasha and her troubled past made for some beautifully tragic scenes but those were masterfully offset by just how cute she was with Clint's kids, getting called "aunt Nat" is a heart melter. Thor's role shaped up really well in this movie, finding out more about the Infinity Stones, sharing the info with the team and clearly realizing some bigger player is pulling the strings from behind the scenes. Steve was his usual self, always dependable, offering advice when he saw fit, leading the team and always looking out for the small guys. Ultron, voiced by the incredibly talented James Spader, made for a very charismatic, intriguing villain. He took all of Tony's bad traits, somehow reached the conclusion humanity is due an extinction level event and he got to work, fast. The little spats between him and Tony made for some really entertaining moments. Vision pretty much was born cool - J.A.R.V.I.S. + Mind Stone = badass android. The moment he left Mjolnir and handed it so casually to Thor - the cinema went wild! His conversations with Ultron were so good, especially their last one - "I was born yesterday" Wanda and Pietro had a good character arc, going from angry and vengeful, misguided by Ultron, to actual Avengers, helping their fellow sokovians and Pietro even making the ultimate sacrifice to protect Bart. The fight scenes are spectacular from the first to the last, the CGI is impressive as always, banger soundtrack to match all the moments, nothing to complain about the acting - all in all a really good entry into the MCU saga. That post credits scene with Thanos - looks like our purple big boi is finally ready to take matters into his own hands which makes the prospect of future reactions that much more enticing! Thank you for the epic reaction and the comprehensive discussion at the end, you did great ❤
I remember it like it was yesterday...for months I've been talking about how excited I was for this movie since the first trailer with my grandma...on a sunny day on Sunday of May, me and her were on our way from church when we passed the turn that would take us home. I asked her where we were going and she had the smuggest grin on her face. We pulled up to the theater. She decided to surprise me for my birthday that was close. Man I miss my grandma. 💜
I've seen this a bunch of times, and this time I finally realized something Ultron said after the twins turned on him. He had told them humanity would have every chance to evolve. Later he says, "when they see, they'll understand." I finally realized he was referring to Vision as demonstrating his plans to "evolve" humanity into an indestructible synthetic humanoid ("synthezoid" is the comic term), and that once we see how "awesome" we'll be in robot bodies we'll embrace it. He didn't really get what being alive, and having only one life to life, means to people - because Ultron could simply copy himself as many times as needed. People wouldn't get the implications of being essentially immortal. Nor would they understand that Ultron was preparing humanity for a dangerous future that only he could foresee, via the Mind Stone.
It is a fabulous movie, it may not be my favorite, but the presentation of Elizabeth Olsen as the Scarlet Witch is what made me enjoy it, About ULTRON, One of the most powerful and feared Supervillains in the Marvel Universe, In this movie Only You can appreciate a little of what he is capable of, His true scope of Evil is impressive, a very good Villain in my opinion, (James Spader's voice as Ultron provokes terror and chills, it gave him much more realism, I loved it) I loved Avengers: Age Of ULTRON, it is an incredible Movie! ❤️🔥🔥
I will never understand why some people give spoilers when they know that they shouldn't. Movie reactors do NOT want to know ANYTHING about movies that they will be watching in the future.

James Spader’s portrayal of Ultron is absolutely the most underrated villain performance in the entire MCU. Ultron is all of Tony’s fears and Vision is all of Tony’s hopes
49:40 They are part of both, Avengers and X-Men Universe, so Fox can continue to use them as long as they don't refer to them as a part of Avengers or affiliate them with any Marvel character Same goes for Marvel, where they can't refer to them as "mutants" because that's Fox's territory.
In Barton's shed: Tony: "Hello, Deere..." That's a classic John Deere farm tractor, in its classic green color. "Nothing runs like a Deere," as the famous advertisements say! The John Deere Company has been building and selling farm machinery since 1837!
Avengers Age of Ultron is a badass movie. Scarlet Witch join the Avengers. Her brother sacrificed himself to save Hawkeye. And Hulkbuster vs Hulk was badass!
"Fine, come down here and do it yourself." Laura's got some balls. Just nonchalantly outright challenging Thanos. Don't write checks you can't cash. lol
6:24 Fact: The one who really created Ultron is Hank Pink (the original Antman) at least 80% and Tony and Bruce help him in the design of the body and more superfluous things. Also, in the original story he does win and for a few days or a couple of weeks he devastated a large part of the earth, hence the name of the Age of Ultron, this... well, I better keep my opinion to myself.
49:56 the deal with the two Quicksilvers: basically, at the time Fox Entertainment had rights to the character as an X-man, while Marvel Productions had rights to the same character as an Avenger (in the comics the character flopped from one group to a next one); so, the compromise was that Marvel could use the name and powers of the character as an Avenger, but not mention his mutant roots.
magy and laura, i think Thanos, the purple guy at the end was using the mind stone in Loki's sceptre as a conduit, one of the powers of the mind stone is you can imprint your mind onto it, so when "ultron" woke up in the computer, i think that was thanos's mind and he was confused, and jarvis called him ultron, but he never asked his name, if he did, he would have said his name is thanos
ultron is one of my fav mcu villains and i rly wish they didnt kill him in one film since hes rly one of those villains whos always around somewhere waiting to come back. they easily can bring him back and r probs gonna but still, he was amazing in this film
Ultron's voice was James Spader, an 80s icon. I'd do a to-do list, but there's only a handful of movies worth watching. But they ARE worth watching. Most notably Stargate, which is right up your alley sci-fi-wise, and the John Hughes movie Pretty In Pink. One day you'll get to the John Hughes-iverse and realize everything you've been missing in life. lol Mannequin is actually an incredibly qoutable comedy, it's one of those old comedies that you wont see coming. And there's also the brat pack classic Less Than Zero.

This is one of the more underrated MCU films. It got hated on cause of the Bruce-Natasha romance and because they shoved in a couple world building things that weren't that connected to the Ultron plot.
Did you know that Wanda Vision in the comics is known as Wandy daughter Magneto? She didn't get her powers from the infinity stone, she was born with them?
I always loved this movie! A lot of fans disliked it when it came out, but to me it was epic. And when you get to endgame, it becomes clear how much heavy lifting this movie did in terms of story and characterization.
Okay so I know many people that get confused about the whole Natasha turning Hulk back into Bruce and HOW she actually does it. MY belief is that at some point in between the First avengers and THIS one Bruce used Hypnosis on himself and had Natasha act as a "trigger." Essentially meaning that she doesn't just SAY "The sun's getting real low." she has to tap and the stroke his arm . Also he has to WANT to let her touch him. That way he keeps his own control.
Unless I've been reading the wrong Marvel comics I believe that The Comic Book Ultron was created By Hank Pymm, who was the original Ant-Man AND Fun Fact: HE was the one who created the Avengers along with his wife Janet (the original Wasp).
I understand that the film has it's problems but I really love this film and I believe Quicksilver was done dirty he had so much potential but was wasted

As anyone who has read the comics understands, everyone was hoping that Cap would say the Avengers tag line from the comics: "Avengers, Assemble!". That's what would happen there. Then all the Avengers would attack the bad guy, whoever he was. But Cap didn't say it in the first Avengers movie. So in the closing moments of this movie, they all thought he was going to say it. They just had him say "Avengers..." and then they cut it. Which is hilarious. So now the fans are a bit frustrated...
Wanda and Quicksilver are also the kids of Magneto from X men just the MCU isn't doing that storyline its done in the X men Animated series tho would be fun to see you react to that one day
This movie had its share of problems, like it followed the same formula as the first one but it didn't do it as well. Ultron was good but not the unstoppable villain that he should have been. In the comics, he is way more of a threat and even defeated the Avengers numerous times. However, there were some really cool stuff that happened in it. I love the hammer lifting scene, the introduction of Wanda and Vision's birth scene.
October is halfway over hopefully you guys do a least on horror movie but ill wait patiently cause you guys are the best keep on the good work that you both do.
The Villians keep getting more dangerous: Loki RULING all of Humanity >>> Ultron DESTROYING all of Humanity. But the Avengers are also getting stronger -- now with Vision and Wanda joining them especially. But then there's this next guy . . . . .
Now that you guys are entering phase 3, I was wondering before watching Avengers End Game would you guys react (or at least Laura) to the "To the End" Endgame trailer. It doesn't have spoilers. It's just an awesome thing to watch before End Game tbh
I still to this day take issue with THAT statement "The strongest metal on Earth" Is NOT Vibranium. Not at all. Most "powerful"?? maybe. It has a very vast list of applications, but "strength" is goes to a metal that Disney didn't YET have permission to SAY let alone use. I'm talking about Adamantium. It is hundreds if not thousands of times "stronger" than Vibranium. It also has a great deal LESS applications considering how difficult it is to manipulate. At THIS point in the MCU Disney had JUST acquired Marvel Studios and Feige's Infinity War plan was well under way. But there was still the entire Mutant roster that FOX still held the rights to and along with that came a very large list of characters and content that MCU were NOT allowed to say or use on screen. Such as the word Mutant. There could not be ANY reference to Mutants in any way. Which is why Scarlett Witch and Quicksilver were - in the MCU - created by the mind stone and not Mutants.
My favorite comedic exchange in this movie is during the part where Nick Fury appears in a Helicarrier: Cap: Fury, you son of a bitch. Fury: Ooh-hoo, you kiss yo motha with that mouth?

Remember, my beauties, all of Scarlet Johannessen’s cool ass moves are entirely just Wrestling take-downs, just done in rapid succession.
Only Tony's fear is about the future
So..... 😉😉
(Only if you got it)
I can't wait You to react to Gotg 2 and see your reaction in a specific part, and everyone knows what i'm talking about
I still to this day take issue with THAT statement "The strongest metal on Earth" Is NOT Vibranium.
Can't wait til Laura sees the next Avengers movie, Civil War. lol (I'm joking, I know it's a Captain America movie.)
My favorite comedic exchange in this movie is during the part where Nick Fury appears in a Helicarrier:
Cap: Fury, you son of a bitch.
Fury: Ooh-hoo, you kiss yo motha with that mouth?
Nice Australia shirt. 😁 Greetings from Sydney.
Wow, what a MCU movie that may be bad because of its story and subplots, but it will always be epic.
You're not ready for Infinity War and Endgame.
Oh boy, so not ready. 😅🤐
Avengers! Assemble! 😎👏
it's like quicksilver...he is quicksilver
"Fine. I'll do it myself."
@10:11 No mention of the awesome teamwork between Hawkeye and Cap?
