My ex used to tell me "I'm always at peace when I'm here with you." Whether it was true or not doesn't matter anymore. In Dec it will be 4 yrs since we broke up & he STILL tries to reach out occasionally even though he has a child now with the person he got with after me! I pity her - she's stuck with him forever now bcuz of the child! I thank God every day that I'm free & loving life again!

Before the final discard she said she felt emotionally secure and safe with me. She said that I taught her and showed her that love is patient. She said for the first time she felt unconditionally loved. Four days later before a trip she ghosted me. This was after celebrating her birthday all weekend. This was only a few weeks ago and it absolutely gutted me.
I doubt my nemesis even thinks about it. The quickest new supply or using up a current one is at the forefront always. She probably does miss all the previous targets cognitive dissonance and supply. With this multimorbid cluster b I bet they all figured it out and are ecstatic they're out. Bit there's always the kindred of affliction mutually using each other. But that doesn't last as the competition for dominance dissipates that union made in psycho land. Hoovers are only a manipulation.

Chiming in here If you were or are attracted to a toxic person you possess a control issue too. You just acknowledge it and want to be better. You are are positive force/vibe. The toxic is the opposite. Dark and empty. One must look at our broken selves. Painful. The family of origin is generally where it started. Not our fault. I have been blaming my relationship failures on others. My codependency tendencies are definitely a reason for why things end up how they do. I am trying to heal at 59 years. I wished I possessed this information 40 years ago.
