I was raised in the ELCA along with my children; this is mind-boggling how we have allowed this to go so far! Not to mention the amazing, old Churches that are used to house this nonsense:(
Bryan, these things are the reason we left the ELCA. My wife was music Director at our church and played piano and pipe organ every Sunday for two services. I as her husband was there usually both services. I was vice president of our church council. We left. We could handle this no more. The conversion of the Lutheran Church we had known for many many years to the likes of this was more than we could stand. If we say we have no sin, the truth is not in us. They have forgotten this at the ELCA. They have changed the Confession to a confession of telling us to confess what they say we have done, not me confessing what I know I have done. We are free now, able to pursue the fullness of the truth of the Holy Trinity.
Thanks for your measured reasonable review. My first exposure to Lutheranism was an ELCA church which was fairly conservative (for the ELCA). I'm really saddened how far they've fallen and pray they be brought to repentance because where they are now only ends in God's judgement. But this kind of heresy and blasphemy also angers me because we have such beautiful Creeds which this is just mocking openly.
The reference to the rainbow spirit instead of one bright white light alone should be a warning to anyone whose read Tolkien. Look what Saruman became when he declared himself as Saruman of many colors instead of Saruman the White. When he died, he was denied entrance to Valinor (as close as Tolkien gets to naming Heaven).
Thanks for reviewing. I’d slipped into an ELCA congregation in the mid-80s to early-90s. Thankfully, the Holy Spirit helped me discover I was misplaced; thankfully I was led back to a confessional Lutheran church body, to a congregation in the LCMS that believes the Bible is the Word of God; it not only “contains” the Word of God, but actually is God’s Word and is the only source of revealed truth--concerning Jesus Christ, faith and salvation--by which the church is governed.
Amen, brother! We belonged to a PCUSA church that we left for a ECO Presbyterian church, we learned that even they were not following scriptural authority. We now belong to a LCMS church where the Pastor preaches the truth of the Bible.
Good morning, Pastor! Thank you, for this review as I was among the 50 who sent you the video. I found your assessment was on target and your comments were very helpful and comforting even though I could see in you how truly troubled you are by this alarming blasphemy. Trust me, we too are shaken and troubled by this "Sparkle Creed" and what it means. My wife and I believe there is an additional issue that you may want to consider adding to this assessment: When they mention that "Jesus had two dads", we think they are inferring that God The Father entered into a homosexual relationship with Joseph since all reference to/mention of "conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary" is removed from their creed. This adds one more very troubling element to the creed by inferring that either God Himself sinned, or He does not consider homosexuality a sin. This very clearly contradicts God's word in both the Old and New Testaments. But that is the next step in their evil agenda! There is a movement within the PCUSA to re-interpret and even re-write the Gospels beginning with the book of Mark. In the words of a gay PCUSA pastor who is leading this initiative, "we want to create a theology we can use".
Pastor wolfmeuller, thank you for this video. All your videos, as well as your book Has American Christianity Failed, clearly articulate truth. It can be difficult sometimes to explain or argue something even if you understand your position in your head. You provide invaluable resources for when I’m stuck on how to talk about a topic. Thank you and God bless!
Pastor Brian, my only criticism of your video good sir, is your initial reticence to engage this clear and present Evil. I left the Church for 40 years, I came back with a very real sense of an impending collapse of Western Civilization. I found many good things that I remembered from my youth. I also found an insularity, that was a practiced ignorance of what was going on outside the fortress walls. On the horizon was a gathering Mongol Hoard, committed to it's very being. I agree, this is headed for an Alamo near year you. "Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition." Cause it's a commin. Thanks Pastor for picking up your tools, and engaging the enemy. Thank you, I saw this and could not believe what I was hearing. This came from the Lutheran church, ELCA. As I saw it, even asked my Pastor about this and how can this be. She said the Lutheran church won’t do anything if the congregation was for it. I have gone to my church since I was 15 years old, but it’s gone very political and not what it use to be. It’s an old church and the people are wonderful, at first I really struggled because what would God want me to do, so here I am writing to you. I came to terms with the help of the Lord now. God bless you and your work.
Pastor W. Would you consider the bread & wine consecrated? I wouldn't believe anything after that "creed". Maybe the ELCA is trying to be a Universal Unity church?
I heard about this Sparkle Creed on the news. I was anxious to hear it and then looked forward to your response. Sadly, Pastor, you got so excited (not in joy!) that I couldn't hear either Suzy Q recite it or your reaction to it--- you both ended up talking over each other. Please, Pastor, when some issue of controversy comes up play the video that bothers you first; then give your response. Thank you. I'm a Roman Catholic fan of yours!
Once again pastor right on que with a great explanation of how Satan who is the great deceiver counterfeits everything God institutes and how mankind simply falls for an illusion, exchanging the truth for a lie. Thank you for your continual outpouring of the truth and shining a light in the darkness. God bless you
If I had heard about this creed through my usual Internet contacts, I would have thought it was simply someone's idea of a gag. I would not have believed that ANYBODY would take this seriously. But, apparently, I was wrong!
@@courtneysalmon85They think it gives them legitimacy, the "pride" of being a part of the "Reformation Church". When folks ask me if all Lutherans teach this I answer, "No Lutherans teach this just like no Lutheran Churches ordain women, gays, or transgendered people."
A swift and clear rebuke by orthodox confessional Lutheran bodies is necessary--for the sake of The Word, Jesus, and all of their followers. This is not Christianity, let alone Lutheranism. These 'sparkle creed' people are all at risk of damnation without the preaching of the actual Word. They will drag others down with them without a public denunciation by actual Christians.
@LucasClarson: You are correct. The ELCA is neither Lutheran nor Christian! It is NOT a Christian Church! Let's not sugar-coat the truth. Whether they realize it or not, all who belong to an ELCA congregation are members in a non-Christian Church. It is a cult! I am no one in the ELCA are Christian. That I cannot declare. However, they are members of a Church body which has rejected the Word of God and their salvation is in jeopardy. Kyrie Eleison!
"A swift and clear rebuke by orthodox confessional Lutheran bodies is necessary" You'll be waiting until the second coming for the LCMS to do such a thing.
@LucasClarson: "This is not Christianity, let alone Lutheranism." You are absolutely correct. As an LCMS pastor it is with great sadness that I confess that the ELCA, as a church body, is neither Christian nor Lutheran. It is pagan. You cannot support open evil (abortion = murder; homosexuality, trans., etc. = adultery {Sixth Commandment}) and be Christian. What many do not realize, if you allow for women to be pastors you cannot really oppose the above sins. This is because the methodology you use to negate Scripture regarding these sins, is the same used by those who support women as pastors. The methodology is simply applied to different biblical passages. So to all those Christians allowing women to have authority over the Word in the kingdom of God, you are the ones who paved the way for this complete rejection of the Word of God. I mean no offense. It is, however, the truth. Pax.
HAHA, tell us how you really feel Pastor! I almost saw Martin Luther bobblehead in the background shaking his head with you. Not sure when that Gresham book was written, but seems like we have had to deal with this for a while. Its not new. We will continue to stand our ground with the help of clear minded Pastors like you. Thank you.
I think we in the LCMS should be careful when we throw our stones at this. In my view, we have a tendancy to not say anything and "let things be" when changes are slowly introduced. Our church has even done away with the Board of Elders because it's so hard to get men to volunteer. We also are no longer using the Catechism for confirmation. Why? I have no idea. Sadly I think my church has started down this path.
@@randyneumeyer2107 I agree, but how do you stop it. I was the only one saying anything and then I'm the one told to find another church. The policy based governance is being pushed by the district as well

I'd be intrigued as to how the order of service was before and after this botch up of a "creed". This was broadcast on "Outsiders" a program in Australia. Both my husband and I would have gotten up and walked out were we there. I worry for my eldest who stated "it was cool". It sparked a huge debate amongst the family on why this is not what God wants.
Not if you both agree that the Bible is the authority. Some things we just won't understand while on earth. No point in arguing those. Argue facts - you can't win an argument about other's beliefs.
This is doing the rounds on UA-cam. What worries me is this will tar ALL Lutherans with the same brush. I’ll have my Pentecostal mother in law who by the way is looking for any reason for us to stop attending a Lutheran church. My church in Australia is amazing and identical to yours in Austin. Imagine if Luther was alive to hear this?
Thank you, Pastor Bryan! I left the UMC due to this. There is more going on than just this. There is teaching that incarnation and resurrection didn't happen. Some say that the Holy Bible isn't needed. I am a Global Methodist now. We confess the traditional creeds, and I am thankful we do. I appreciate your theological perspective on this matter.
FUMC has become ELCA. The Global Methodist Church was formed out of this in order to escape the madness. Thank you for your work on this. I grew up LCMS and really appreciate your content.
I am LCMS, though I had not grown up that way. I do fear sometimes that the LCMS allows too much, and does not enforce enough. I can only think of subtle examples of this, none so strong that I would outright proclaim it, but it's just a sinking suspicion....
We need a term to apply to liberal churches like this, which aren’t Christian. Then we need to use that term loudly to plant the seed in the minds of all so one can quickly identify them. I say “Churches of Intersectionality”. Any other suggestions?
I am glad that I am a lifelong member of an LCMS congregation1 I spent two-three of my college years attending what is now an ELCA congregation. I did not know it, but things would be slowly creeping this way. I am glad I got back to my roots.
Some of these ELCA wolves are being allowed to teach to us in the LCMS. Are we really any different from them? If so, why are they given places of honor among us?
If these churches are confessing against the Trinity, then are the baptisms administered in them valid? Or are the sacraments in liberal churches distorted in a manner such as other non-Triune churches. e.g. Mormon baptisms would be invalid. (Especially for those of us who know Christians originally baptized in more liberal churches.)
So, this is my aunt's church and I'm not surprised in the slightest by this. The next week, this pastor went on to quote Jesus from Matthew 10:22 while speaking about the outcry from the Sparkle Creed...."and you will be hated by all for my name's sake. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.", equating ECLC with the disciples. So sad to see the level of self deception. Once you've unhitched from the authority of the Bible, its easy to do just about anything. My aunt grew up in the old Lutheran Free Church, a faithful remnant of which became the AFLC in '62, in a country church across from the farm in NW Minnesota. She's a long way geographically and theologically from her roots.
@@redshark611 Very true. Nowadays you have to be so careful- even with the synods that comprised the former Synodical Conference. That too blew up due to corruption. Synods….aren’t perfect, and they can go wrong…horribly as we just witness from the Sparkle Creed. R. C. H. Lenski is turning in his grave now. The churches that comprised ECLA had some good theologians- long gone now.
@@kwt7667g I think relations are warming a bit between the primary three of the Synodical Conference. I see most of the friction coming from the WELS toward the LCMS. The ELS has always had a bit better of a relationship following the split, but the two seem to be even closer since Harrison’s election. Really interesting stuff. Even if fellowship isn’t established, I’d be interested in seeing more friendly ventures between the three, especially in the wake of the sparkle creed.
When we speak of two Dads, today, in clown-world, it refers to two men who are in a disordered relationship with one another, and who have obtained a child by adoption or other less natural means. So, the blasphemy of that phrase in the sparkle "creed" is to suggest that God and Joseph were partners in deviant conduct. It was bad enough when the blasphemers were implying that God had a carnal relationship with Mary, but now they saying the same for Joseph!

Just unbelievable!!! Thank you for your insightful review of this absolutely rubbish!!! My dear deceased father who was an LCMS Pastor is likely rolling over in his grave. SO SAD!! 😟😟😟
I have a bad feeling about my current ELCA Church. We now have a woman Pastor,, a Gay Music Director and prayers have lately embraced DEI tenants. No change in Liturgy, but I fear the emphasis on DEI, by the Synod may be leading us down the wrong path. Any help with direction would be greatly appreciated.
The various Lutheran Synods usually are very clear on posting their doctrine on their websites. As for myself, I am a confessional Lutheran. That is, I hold to the unaltered Augsburg Confession and the Book of Concord. These are the founding documents and doctrine of the Lutheran Church. There are several confessional synods in the Lutheran Church. Three of them are the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS), the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS), and the Evangelical Lutheran Synod (ELS). There are independent Lutheran churches as well. You might want to look there first. Blessings in your search!
There was also where Jesus removed his outer garment and wore a towel as an apron when He washed the feet at Maundy Thursday. Plus His robe that was stripped that they did not want ripped and clutching at His robe for the hemorrhaging woman. And I guess His swaddling cloths?
So glad to have left the ELCA in the early 2000s and so thankful for Pastor Wolfmueller and other LCMS pastors who guide us with true confessional Lutheranism!
Thank you, pastor, as this emboldens my belief in our Lord and what is recorded in scripture. His Grace alone will allow me to enter His kingdom. No pronoun vacillation whatsoever, as for me and my house we will serve the Lord.
Honestly the “L” needs to be removed out of ELCA. The general public that has no clue about what the Lutheran church represents can mistakenly and unknowingly go to a church like this not understanding the confessions of the true Lutheran church. They then get a misunderstanding of what Lutherans are about.
I like hearing your views, Pastor Wolfmueller. I don't agree with a lot of what you say, but you prevent me from being in an echo chamber of people who think the way I do. I think even I have to agree with you on the Sparkly Creed, though. This creed has a lot of issues in terms of what it teaches, and I'm kind of surprised that even your arch-rival the ELCA would incorporate it into their worship service.
Just one comment on this amazing video. Fantastic work pastor. Around 12:19 you make a comparison about a spirit of darkness breaking the word of God. It's a bit pick, but I think it more distorts or manipulates God's word. It's powerful and unbreakable, but not unhidable or not able to be used for deception. I see so many church's today hiding the truth and using it to deceive. It's sad.
Rev Bryan --- that's a curious insight, this fascination with *clothing*. What is clothing? It is the surfacemost layer, the outer covering, that which veils the true self within. Perhaps their fascination with clothing is a sign of the deepest and most profound superficiality of mind and spirit. One might say that they are bedazzled by the bright colours and patterns and so forth and they become lost in the maze, unable to seek any deeper. As I'm sure you're aware, all of wokeism is to make one's perspective as surface oriented as possible: it's all about "how you identify" not "who God made you." The shell of Christianity --- spot on! The most telling thing about this whole --- show? --- is, I believe, to be found within the first few seconds. Take notice of how the lady inflects the words "the sparkle creed", and notice the almost embarrassed smile she gives us. There has to be, perhaps deeply hidden within her heart, some understanding that what she is doing is a laughable sham and a blasphemy of the worst kind. Her smile reminds me much of the Mouth of Sauron: it would seem to be noble and fair, but its rictus belies the rot within.
This is utterly horrifying. This is not a Christian church. I can't begin to describe what this is, but I'm sure Satan is involved. The soul of everyone in this room is in peril, especially the woman who is leading them down this path.
Either the ELCA leaves the Lutheran church, or many non ELCA Lutherans will, include myself. I was raised Lutheran, but also know that I serve Christ, not a denomination.
“The one white light?” That’s self defeating, because a white light can illuminate and show you obstacles in your path. And we all know what black/UV lights can show you if you take it into someone’s house.
The last time we visited the PCUSA they removed the pews and had praise music but then in the corporate prayer invocate mother god. The worst of both worlds
PC: Progressive Christianty, PC: Picking and Choosing what to believe, PC: Politically Correct. A good way to remember the definition of Progressive Christianity.
One of your previous videos where you showed that some churches put reason above God’s word was very helpful to me. I always use it when looking at a faith statement now and it is amazing how many ‘progressive’ churches will play with the relationship between reason and faith to justify going off the rails. Next thing you know they are just making stuff up, this one is a doozy.
@@vickieb6284 They mock the Lord and turn themselves into gods who can ignore and change Gods word. Pray for the folks that stay in these places that they would flee and escape being led into hell.
Aside from being blasphemous and heretical, this silly creed is just embarrassing. A pathetic and cringe-inducing attempt to conform to the culture. Sad.
There are two more places in the Bible where Jesus's clothing is mentioned. When he takes off his clothes and wraps Himself in a towel to wash the Disciples feet. When the Romans strip Him, first to mock Him then to crucify Him.
Welcome back! Good to see the armor out again. Can you imagine Phineas in that room? Don’t get too cocky though LCMS is now just ELCA five years ago. The “woke” disease has progressed to madness in some churches but LCMS is certainly developing a fever. Concordia choir used to sing “of the Fathers love begotten” now they sing Bob Dylan covers. We used to preach that here there is no Jew or Gentile but we have a black caucus that after we have spent decades saying we should listen to Lutheran music use the lack of black musicians on our playlist as evidence of racism… where are all those black Lutheran musicians on ITunes? Jesus said you can not rob a strong man unless you bind him first, why? Why did Jesus say to sell your cloak and buy a sword? Why did Jesus not mention that Peter carried a sword until the garden of Gethsemane? If a man hears the trumpet and does not take up the sword and is killed whose head is his blood on and why? Yet now we say we shouldn’t defend ourselves and loved ones but we can kill for a government that legalized the killing of 60,000,000 babies and calls the Bible hate speech if we call it a “just war.” If we are to have a new Concordia perhaps it should be a re-release of the first one. Maybe we need to go back to Genesis 1:1 instead of jumping to Revelation 3:14. Unchanging God doesn’t change so the farther we get from the early church the farther we get from God. In the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God. If then we reject a word of scripture, or interpret scripture in a way tainted by the world, we are rejecting God. God will bless us if we put our faith fully into him, when we return to boldly proclaiming the word of God and don’t let the “little” things slide we will prevail because God will be with us. But if we keep changing to fit the politics and culture of the world we can not succeed. By the way, what does the Bible say about the poor and how much did Martin Luther charge them for his writings? Looking at you Concordia, who makes pastors into debtors and charges the poor $70 for each book they are told they need.
And now you begin to realize why pastors & laymen were angry / upset with the nes Large Catechism with annotations that CPH brought out. People from ELCA (the pastor quoting the sparkle creed in this video is ELCA) & NALC, along with LCMS people , writing articles in that book, asking for a softer tone towards LBGTQ actions and CRT propaganda.
Thanks for these words. But next time a Protestant comes to me and tries to convince me that there is nothing wrong with the exponential proliferation of denominations because ultimately all Protestants agree on the “essentials”, I am going to pull up this video.
God does say, "Let Us make man in Our image..." so the argument that demons only refer to themselves in the plural is a weak argument I've heard from too many pastors. I'm not saying this makes it legit in any way, I just wish pastors would stop forgetting Genesis 1.

His book A Martyr's Faith in a Faithless World is excellent as well. Highly recommend! 😊
Look at her, she matured from playing house to playing church.
Just a small correction at 5:46 , Jesus's clothes are mentioned in the transfiguration
"where would this come from?" My pastor said it best: "from the abyss"
Thank you for reviewing this pastor
Pastor Brian, my only criticism of your video good sir, is your initial
reticence to engage this clear and present Evil.
Vaya con Dios, mi amigo!!!
(psst, Pr Wolfmeuler spells his first name Bryan.) Excellent comment, thank you! 😊
@@Kaemea You know as soon as I pulled the trigger, I realized I'd spelled that wrong. But thanks.
Sometimes I feel like a half breed, Injun scout at my church. I know the ways of the Rainbow Peoples, and I know this is no game. They have captured every institution from Burger King 👑 to the White House.
We are a key for them. Like a bridge on D day...we must be blown. Because In my opinion, this transcends morality. This is a purely politico-relegio-spiritual struggle on the scale of the Reformation. We are witnessing world, historicall transformation.. It's for all the marbles, and I start to wonder does anyone know what time it is. Obviously, you do. Bless you mi Amiga...Vaya con Dios!!!
Thank you Rev Wolfmueller. Great response. I note the baby in the background crying.... symbolism at its best.
I nearly fell off my chair when you said "How do we know that Joseph identified as a male?" 🤣🤣🤣
For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own likings, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander into myths.
Universal Unitarian. FYI, I'm Lcms.
This makes me sick Pastor Wolfmueller. Thank you for this video though. It’s good to bring the deception to the light.
I would expect from Babylon Bee! I am dumbfounded.
Unfortunately, non-Lutherans having heard the Sparkle Creed, will think this is what all Lutherans believe.
Not sure why the ELCA is even still "identifying" as Lutheran
"A swift and clear rebuke by orthodox confessional Lutheran bodies is necessary"
You'll be waiting until the second coming for the LCMS to do such a thing.
It seems there's a trend in the lcms to drop the men elders and go to a board of commission, open to both sexes. This video makes me ill.
@@randyneumeyer2107 I agree, but how do you stop it. I was the only one saying anything and then I'm the one told to find another church. The policy based governance is being pushed by the district as well
@@sugarmcdoodle3514 If you can find one close by, come try out a WELS congregation. Once upon a time we were in fellowship with the LCMS, but watching doctrinal and fellowship principles differ from ours we had to break fellowship from them. We have MANY refugees from the LCMS.
Or, stay and fight and work against these issues!
Read David murrow "why men hate going to church" these feminist churches are dying out because men want to stand for something and fight for it, liberalization is the decay we see here
I'd be intrigued as to how the order of service was before and after this botch up of a "creed". This was broadcast on "Outsiders" a program in Australia. Both my husband and I would have gotten up and walked out were we there. I worry for my eldest who stated "it was cool". It sparked a huge debate amongst the family on why this is not what God wants.
The Gospel divides family members. Sad but true.
A prism performs a cute trick with light, but if your eyeglasses did that you'd fall into the first pit in your path.
We need a term to apply to liberal churches like this, which aren’t Christian. Then we need to use that term loudly to plant the seed in the minds of all so one can quickly identify them. I say “Churches of Intersectionality”. Any other suggestions?
Cult
I am glad that I am a lifelong member of an LCMS congregation1 I spent two-three of my college years attending what is now an ELCA congregation. I did not know it, but things would be slowly creeping this way. I am glad I got back to my roots.
Some of these ELCA wolves are being allowed to teach to us in the LCMS. Are we really any different from them? If so, why are they given places of honor among us?
That creed put a smile on Satan's face.
Forgive them Father, they know not what they do.
Amen, Pastor ... and it's time for those in liberal churches to leave.
I'm truly embarrassed that I graduated from an ELCA college, some 50 years ago....
Which one Luther college in Decorah iowa?
What would really be nice is if the orthodox Lutheran synods would unite and be the Evangelical Catholic Church as was intended.
The trouble is ELCA started as an attempt to do exactly that and this is where it ended 😞
@@redshark611 true that haha. Although instead of just the Lutheran churches it extended to ALL religions haha.
Based
@@redshark611 Very true.
Nailed it
Nope.
I know just seeing this, breaks your heart. It broke mine. The only think I know to do is to pray for those poor lost souls. Pray God, they find their way home.😢
I was in the ELCA years ago and like your accessment that the ELCA is not Christian. How true.
You mentioned how they obsess over clothing and how things look. Its to cover up the chaos of the ideology. To make it look enticing and welcoming, but as we read in the Story of Adam & Eve, things that lure you aren't always true. This is like a flashy peanut shell with no peanut inside.
Just unbelievable!!! Thank you for your insightful review of this absolutely rubbish!!! My dear deceased father who was an
LCMS Pastor is likely rolling over in his grave. SO SAD!! 😟😟😟
I do not understand this. I kept waiting for lightning to strike. I'm surprised half of the congregation didn't get up and walk out.
Thank you for breaking down this heresy.
I pray that those in the ELCA see this and repent.
Thank you for boldly and kindly speaking the truth of Jesus Christ our LORD!
Flee.
Flee AND take people with you. It may be hard to leave a church you grew up in, but this is not the church you gre up in.
The nearest exit would be my direction. The ELCA is not Lutheran nor Christian. Find a LCMS, WELS or AALC congregation.
Flee.
Good recommendation on the book.
You’re filled with holy fire on this one. Thanks for clarifying this horrific abomination and calling it what it is.
Amen!
This is not even Anglican, although it has crept into the Episcopal
Church, beginning back in the 70's.
At a certain point you would think ELCA would make their own bible. they would probably keep enough to at least fill a pamphlet...
Be careful what you wish for...
Father, the "creed" itself is bad but what really gets me is the congregation repeating it! How does this happen?
This is utterly horrifying. This is not a Christian church. I can't begin to describe what this is, but I'm sure Satan is involved. The soul of everyone in this room is in peril, especially the woman who is leading them down this path.
Either the ELCA leaves the Lutheran church, or many non ELCA Lutherans will, include myself. I was raised Lutheran, but also know that I serve Christ, not a denomination.
Hi
“The one white light?” That’s self defeating, because a white light can illuminate and show you obstacles in your path. And we all know what black/UV lights can show you if you take it into someone’s house.
The last time we visited the PCUSA they removed the pews and had praise music but then in the corporate prayer invocate mother god. The worst of both worlds
PC: Progressive Christianty, PC: Picking and Choosing what to believe, PC: Politically Correct. A good way to remember the definition of Progressive Christianity.
PC: Pseudo Christianity
One of your previous videos where you showed that some churches put reason above God’s word was very helpful to me. I always use it when looking at a faith statement now and it is amazing how many ‘progressive’ churches will play with the relationship between reason and faith to justify going off the rails. Next thing you know they are just making stuff up, this one is a doozy.
Pastor, when she says two dads, I thought of gay men parents of a child, like it’s supporting two gay men raising a child.
The ELCA; same church body that Steven Paulson belongs to, who authored an article in the new large Catechism publication. How shiny.
I’m an ELCA member, and I find this creed ridiculous…
At least it's honest in the sense it exposes what is believed or practiced.
It is with certainty that these people have been given over to their delusions by the Lord. They are no longer a church of Christ.
Sadly you are right. Why have any “creed”? Is the Word of God not enough?
@@vickieb6284 They mock the Lord and turn themselves into gods who can ignore and change Gods word. Pray for the folks that stay in these places that they would flee and escape being led into hell.
In Doug Wilson’s reaction video, at the “pronouns are plural” part Doug says, “they are worshiping legion”. 😮
Aside from being blasphemous and heretical, this silly creed is just embarrassing. A pathetic and cringe-inducing attempt to conform to the culture. Sad.
A den of thieves. They’re in trouble
Yes. Judgement is coming…
There are two more places in the Bible where Jesus's clothing is mentioned. When he takes off his clothes and wraps Himself in a towel to wash the Disciples feet.
When the Romans strip Him, first to mock Him then to crucify Him.
10:59. Perfect way to explain this!
Excellent video.
Yet now we say we shouldn’t defend ourselves and loved ones but we can kill for a government that legalized the killing of 60,000,000 babies and calls the Bible hate speech if we call it a “just war.”
If we are to have a new Concordia perhaps it should be a re-release of the first one.
Is this a United Methodist Church?
Thanks for these words.
But next time a Protestant comes to me and tries to convince me that there is nothing wrong with the exponential proliferation of denominations because ultimately all Protestants agree on the “essentials”, I am going to pull up this video.
God does say, "Let Us make man in Our image..." so the argument that demons only refer to themselves in the plural is a weak argument I've heard from too many pastors. I'm not saying this makes it legit in any way, I just wish pastors would stop forgetting Genesis 1.
