i approve of this sword
The claymore was invented after you died.
Some early claymores were used in the Scottish wars of independence.
claymores were used 1400-1700
Nice 👍
Its not only a specific style of sword, it just means "big sword", so in a way, all large swords where claymores. The Scottish variant of the basket-hilted sword, is also widely called a claymore :)
Well the kilt was also taken into use, after his death :)
I Loved the Ending, with the traditional look the the Swordsman had presented and then what the product The Sword) itself had accomplished in its action!!! (Awesome Work!!!)
Gotta agree, I'm really enjoying the more "down-to-earth" weapons, over the comically over-sized, over-the-top ones. This sword and Sokka's Meteor Sword are by far my two favorites.
Agree. While it's cool to see those fantastic and ludicruous design come true, I'd always choose the more pratical weapons.
estauricossauro Which is why he needs to make Shusui from One Piece! It's both awesome and practical. Simple, yet elegant.
Far and away the finest build and most entertaining to watch that I have ever seen from this particular smith! Great Job!
I love these more in-depth ones where you go into like stories about the shop and what not.
Agreed! I actually wish the video was longer and even MORE detailed. I like to work with wood, often with a rasp and file, and some of the things I make take forever to shape. When he said that he'd be shaping the blade for four to five hours, I felt a little better about taking so long to do some of my projects.
AgileFan0 I'd be happy if they had a tv show with full length episodes, these guys deserve more than just UA-cam.
Ah, this episode rekindles my love of the Scottish Claymore. Speaking of which...
I'd like to see MaA make Clare's sword from "Claymore". DO IT NOW!
That is the claymore I want to see
THE ELUCIDATOR AND/OR DARK REPULSER FROM SWORD ART ONLINE
Yes, thats what ive been saying at least the elucidator!
Yes i want to see or asuna´s sword
You the "man at arms" team is the best blade blacksmiths
I hope you have happiness in it
I like how they showed more of the build in this video. Please make all future videos the same please :P
Ryuko Matoi's Scissor Blade from Kill la Kill would be really awesome
AWE me have you ever considered or attempted to craft a combat ready sword without machining, using only pre-industrial techniques? (excepting things like the power hammer which doesn't change the method, just relieves the body)
Let's see them make a Dark Souls Zweihander the old fashioned way. Heh, that would take forever...and probably break quite a few workplace safety regulations...
Work smarter not harder.
It's 2 videos a month already. Do you want them to be 1 a year? Get outta here.
Nbah I didn't say make a video, I asked if they've ever considered it. Sometimes it's about the challenge, the experience and the first hand knowledge when you truly love your craft.
Squall's Gunblade Revolver. FF8
Sons of Scotland I am William Wallace. And I see a whole army of my countrymen, here in defiance of tyranny! You have come to fight as free men. And free man you are! What will you do without freedom... Will you fight.. "No we will run and well live" Aye Fight and you may die. Run and you'll live, at least a while. And dying in your beds many years from now, would you be willing to trade all the days from this day to that for one chance, just one chance, to come back here and tell our enemies that they may take our lives but they will never take our freedom!" ALBA GU BRATH!!!
ALBA GU BRA
King of the North!
The king in the NORTH!
Rares Mocanu:D
are though a son of the name Wallace? I'm the last son of American descent from the scot- American blood line. i have legitimate proof
Polearms are awesome so it would be amazing if you made the Black Knight Halberd from the Dark Souls games.
That would be badass.
Sly's Cane from Sly Cooper Series!
oooh much as i want to see my request i'm voting yours up
Thx!
Kirito's Elucidator and Dark Repulser, from Sword Art Online, since he's a dual wielder.
They already foged the elucidator, i don't know about the other
You guys should do Will Turner’s sword from Pirates of the Caribbean, and Tom Cruise’s katana from the Last Samurai!!!!
For the Red Viper! Please make Oberyn Martell's spear!
Lich King's Frostmourne from WoW!!
Warglaive of Azzinoth
more like ashbringer from WoW
yasss you must build arthas blade!!!
Thish which u can buy sucks! Blade isn't strong. U can break on ur little finger.
lol
BALISTIC GEL GUYS! That's the way to go.
I aggree, its very dissapointing when they just use pots and sutch. Instead they should be displaying the cutting power with as you said ballistic gel
I Have seen some video's for now. And my only conclusion is: You sir are truly a artist. Very wel done!
THE INFINITY BLADE FROM INFINITY BLADE!!!!!
YES THIS NEEDS TO BE MADE
and the infinity swords
and it needs to be the classic one
Must be made
Yeah!!
Make Oberyn Martell's spear from Game of Thrones! The one he used to fight The Mountain with!
In his honor! :'(
*cries* oh god, so much pain felt in that episode!!! D:
Getting dangerously close to spoilers there... just saying
The spear is actually a great idea...in the series it was a bit disappointing, Id bet that Tony could make it look better ;)
exactly! And it's quite unique so it would be something a bit different! :)
Mulan's Sword , no one has ever done a replica of it
mulan's sword please :D
haha its ok, i just want a sword from a cartoon movie or something XD
***** but his versions r soooo good theres no harm into it
isur marin true but even the swords have their differences like leghnt, width, and colors
It’s always great seeing the original guy.
Please do Sauron's mace from the Fellowship of the Ring.
*Kirito's elucidator one handed sword!* :D *DO IT PLS! DO IIIIIT!*
Yes, do that one pls!
plsssssssssssssssss
yeah !!! i want it!!
YAYYY ELUCIDATOR !!! Pleaaaaaase :3
Rin's Kurikara from Blue Exorcist
that is a really good one
By far one of the strongest swords that cuts clean & perfectly with precision.
The Scissor Sword from Kill La Kill!
Give us Oberyn Martell's spear from Game of Thrones, and Guts' Dragonslayer from Berserk!
Oberyn :'(
Guts' Dragonslayer sounds good ^^
The spear for sure! It's a work of art in itself.
Guts' Dragonslayer is just a hunk of metal, as the manga it's self says. Not all that interesting. No one would even be able to pick it up.
Demented Reality But that's what's so fascinating about the Dragonslayer. The fact that it's so inhumanly massive to the point that only Guts can wield it is one of the main reasons its so interesting. Plus Guts started the trend of Greatsword wielding badasses in anime and Japanese video games, so the Dragonslayer is long overdue for some more recognition.
I would love to see Squall's Gunblade.
My god that would be such a pain. I bet he could pull it off, though maybe not functional.
CrimsenOverlord I can already imagine it: "I used an old .45 magnum I had lying there for the gun part"
You are a true Master. I have made a few small knives and only wish I could work at a place where I could learn the art of making swords and such at the hands of a Master Craftsman.
But I am a weapons expert. I do know excellence when I see it. I'm also a 30+ year guy and I do know good steel when I see it.
I'm old now but I know stuff.
kirito's elucidator from SAO (or both of them, no idea the name of the other one)
- Forstmourne (WoW)
- Red Viper's Spear (GoT)
- Gunblade (FF)
- Orcrist (LotR)
Frostmourne from Warcraft series.
being from scotland i loved the bagpipe touch, you guys make amazing blades!!
Kirito's Elucidator sword?
Yes! Kirito's Elucidator from Sword Art Online!!!
I think The Dark Repulsor might present more of a challenge :3 With the colour of the blade and all :P
Well yeah. Or maybe Kirito's Dark Repulser..
I've been asking for it (Elucidator) for quite a while now....
yes i mean Elucidator
I'd love to see Kirito's Elucidator (nice because of the black blade and the "metally" edges) or Dark Repulser (because of the colour)
Yeah, do one of them!
Oberyn Martell - the Red Viper Spear, from Game of thrones please! He died in the las episode and he was a great warrior so i think it's a good idea for a next weapon to forge.
What kind of glue/cement did you use to adhere the leather to the handle/ricasso?
Kirito's Swords from Sword Art Online Or maybe the 3DMG's swords from Attack On Titan/Shingeki No Kyojin
Yea Kirito's pblade would be pretty easy. I'm no expert at crafting but it looks easy.you should make the blade holder too. Plus the second sword. The dark repulsed.
I totally agree, Kirito's sword would amazing! So would the detachable sword from aot!
Their previous video was Kiritos sword >.< check it out.
Please do the Red Viper's Spear! :D
I'd like to see Corvo's Folding Blade (Dishonored) or the Transistor (Transistor).
Transistor sword would be nice
Well Done!!!
Next: Thw Sowrd Of heroes from Kung Fu Panda. Pleasesssseeee!
What are you? Casual? Childs play?
Its childish but the sword is really cool
Oberyn "The Red Viper" Martell's Spear.
YES
I was just thinking of that
Y u do dis
that would be mind blowing!
Athanas379 I see what you did there.
too soon
Dantes Sword Rebillion from DMC4 pls.
I would love to see Rebelion or Yamato!
YuP!
YES !!!!!!!!
It would be pretty cool if you would make a sword of your own creation. Something original and never seen.
I concur, you should make an original piece.
yes, possibly he could do that for a session finale.
I know you've made Jamie Lannister's sword from Game of Thrones, but being a Stark fan it would be amazing to see Ice being made! :)
Great video by the way, love two-handed swords!
Frostmourne pls! :D
Can you make V's blades from "V for Vendetta"?
Oberyn's Spear from Game of Thrones!
yes !
GRRM is a monster T-T
Why did you have to remind me of him? Poor Oberyn.
He is still an idiot though.
was actually guna post that myself
I'm a welder from Vancouver Canada, I've only touched a little bit on black smithing but what your doing makes me wanted to just get back to school learn how to professionally
Swords from Attack on Titan with the spare blades and 3d movers!
Do you know how fucking hard that would be O_O!?!?!?!
pretty sure he'll take on any challenge :)
HELL YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
HELL YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
YES! 3D manouver gear and the swords that come with it!!
Plz do your own designed sword
I would LOVE to see what you guys could come up with as a custom sword of your own design. That or maybe make a historic sword, something that was in actual use, but do it completely without most modern tools, like do it the way swordsmiths of the time would.
I have to agree with this post. Would love to see your own design.
Something Custom of your own design would be nice
Frostmourne from Warcraft 3 please!
yeah that is an awesome sword
Frostmourne Frostmourne Frostmourne Frostmourne Frostmourne !!!!
FORSTMOURNE!! FORSTMOURNE!! FORSTMOURNE!! FORSTMOURNE!! FORSTMOURNE!! FORSTMOURNE!! FORSTMOURNE!! FORSTMOURNE!! FORSTMOURNE!! FORSTMOURNE!! FORSTMOURNE!! FORSTMOURNE!! please!
give me Frostmourne!!!!!!!give me Frostmourne!!!!!!!give me Frostmourne!!!!!!!give me Frostmourne!!!!!!!give me Frostmourne!!!!!!!give me Frostmourne!!!!!!!give me Frostmourne!!!!!!!give me Frostmourne!!!!!!!give me Frostmourne!!!!!!!give me Frostmourne!!!!!!!
Nice, but I have a question, why did you mill out the eye on the crossguard instead of using a drift? It would've probably been easier and less time consuming.
Kirito's sword from Sword Art Online
which one?
Sam Foster THE ELUCIDATOR!!!!!!! Or Dark Repulser works too.....or how about both?
Elucidatoooooor !
rstewart0516
Both
that would be amazing
Elucidator and/or Dark Repulsor please!!!
Any chance at seeing Thanatos' Katana or Izanagi's Poleknife(?) from Persona actually forged and I'd take it.
yes, please make one of those
i love watching this craftmans work ,wish i had those skills :) awesome videos ty
Elucidator from Sword Art Online. This has been requested many times, and I can tell you don't want to do it, but I'll ask for it anyway.
How about Geralt's silver witcher sword from the witcher?
I'd recommend either:
Kirito's Elucidator (Repulser being optional) - SAO
Or
Dante's Rebellion - From any of the DMC games
Cool. Nice job. Im gonna ask what were all thinking, what happens to the sword after the video?
Illidans twin blades [a.k.a. Twin Blades of Azzinoth / Blades of Azzintoth] would be awesome XD
Now I would like to see that. Those War glaives was something.
*Warglaives of Azzinoth, got one on my first try with a rogue....that was about a year ago, still haven't got the second lol
Frostmourne for the win !!!! XD
wilder3000 BOTH XD
xXEliteTNCXx yeah !!!!!!
XD
Kirito's Elucidator and Dark Repulser ( dual wielding character from sword art online)
yes please
Yes
Saber's Excalibur from the Fate Series or Kirito's dual blades of SAO: Elucidator and Dark Repulser
Anyone else noticed the fit and finish of the handle to the hilt had a gap in it, it looks like they just wrapped it with some cloth to fill in the space.
does the leather on the blade have a function?
it can be used as a grip to get more accurate stabs when fighting heavily armored opponents, to stab their joints and gaps.
thank you very much
Since the sword is so massive it would be difficult to perform strong attacks in limited range. The ricasso is there as a grip extension so the blade can be swung harder with less windup and more accurately due to the increased leverage.
An average sword of the 13th to 14th century had around a thirty inch blade. This sword had a blade larger than most, and in close combat, it would get in the way. The leather provides a shorter grip that keeps the same power, but gives the range of a shorter sword.
Please! Dante's REBELLION from the new dmc!
Probably easier to make, but I'd prefer the old Rebellion. In all honesty I'd rather see Nero's Red Queen from DMC4 but that'd be very tricky
Old rebellion FTW!!
( in my opinion )
the new one looks really cool, I would rather see that one.
dante rebellion "Devil May Cry 3"
dante rebellion "Devil May Cry 3"
THERE CAN ONLY BE ONE... sword you should make next.
I get the reference.
hes done the Kurgen sword
destrocrimson
I don't see it or highlanders sword in the video list. do you mean he made them for the movie?
I swore he did, but doesn't appear he did.
destrocrimson Ive been voting for him to do the kurgen sword in many of the videos but never saw any video on it lol
It would be cool if you guys compared your forge / build process to how it would have been done when the original weapon was made.
how about the Elucidator from SAO
Kirito's Elucidator from the Anime Sword Art Online C:
Yah that be so cool
That and Soul as a scythe from Soul Eater!!
or his Dark Repulser
That would be cool though it would be amazing if he made both it and the Dark Repulser since they are a pair
Jeremy Auradou i think they did that
Black Knight Greatsword
Moonlight Sword
Great Lord Greatsword
Lifehunt Scythe
Silver Knight Sword
The Greatsword of Artorias
Zweihänder
One of these from Dark Souls would be nice.
If I was to ask for a weapon from the Souls series, I think I'd have to go for the Blueblood Sword from Demon's or the Dragonslayer Spear.
Jac the Sipper
I haven't played Demon's.. yet, but I can agree on Ornstein's Spear.
i like that he got a commercial one and went "this ones garbage, im going to show you how i made a good one"
Za'roc from Eragon!
Why not Brisingr?
YES, one of those!
NatsuDragn33I
Well Za'roc does sort of need to be redeemed from the movie....
Though I agree, Brisingr would be more interesting. Especially as there is no "Movie version" to base it off of. All up to the smith's interpretation.
NatsuDragn33I
Because Green destiny that's why
Yeah brisingr would be nice
Hidan's scythe from Naruto or Asuma's Chakra blades!
ELUCIDATOR FROM SWORD ART ONLINE!!!!!!!!!!!! CMON!!!!
The homemade weapon made by Nasir, from the tv series Spartacus, that is the union of a sword and a shield would be really great to see actually made
More traditional stuff, this one was great.
The Half-Scissor Blade from Kill la Kill could be pretty cool, especially if you can get it to be a balanced sword.
Oberyn Martell's (The Viper) Spear.
This comment made me both super excited and suddenly sad. I second this request.
That's The RED Viper, mister.
I love that sword it’s beautiful incredible piece of honor somethings are Worth remembering
PLEASE PLEASE make the Red Vipers Spear from Game Of Thrones Season 4!!!!!
Frostourne! The blade of the Lich King!
***** Because these swords actually take forever to make. Just like in TV, they just edit the episode together when its done and that's what allows these epidosdes to be uploaded on a weekly basis. And also, if it is the Frostmourne coming up next season, then why are you complaining? Have patience and be grateful this guy has made some of the best recreations of nonfictional and fictional weapons. Even when the Buster Sword was leaked to be in production, I was happy to wait a month to see the footage behind it.
Elucidator from SAO or Excalibur from Fate series
As much as it pains me tae say, there was never a sword that William Wallace continuously used, the sword that's on show in his monument is a claymore crafted from 3 different eras over 100 years apart
Its called repair work on a very old sword.
The sword was originally William Wallace's long claymore sword.
Dantes Rebellion, Neros Red queen, or Vergils Yamato?
I say Yamato, because Rebellion and the Red Queen are very large and complex builds... unless you would say the Force edge?
Yamato would be an interesting build, but Rebellion and Red Queen have a lot of intricate workings and would be good for a challenge
Just make sure that if its Rebellion its the DMC 1 - 4 design...not that horrible piece of toothpick of DmC
Even if it was the DMC version, its not a bad design, it still looks pretty damn awesome
drivingatank matter of taste, for me DMC Rebellion its way more imposing and cool, DmC vertion looks like a piece of metal with a plant growing around it...uninteresting plain and ugly
Ned Stark's "Ice" please!
YEEEEEES!
I dunno if he's done two swords from one franchise, has he? Since he made Jon's Claw I think he's unlikely to do another sword from the series...
Indeed... :(
EssThree
Well he has made two swords from GoT already. The longclaw and Jamie Lannister's sword.
Markus Lorensen But it is an awesome sword :) I would love to see it myself and I am sure others do also!
Crescent Rose from RWBY, it would be hard but oh so very awesome.
YES
YEEEEEEES
YES!
I saw and loved your Web Videos. Love the Swords you make, but one sword that has been kind of an obsession of mine for decades that I haven't seen is... Stormbringer from the Glen Cook Series of books beginning with Elric of Melnibone! A badass sword that is not only bad for his enemies, but for the wielder as well. Think you guys can make that one??
Frostmourne from Warcraft!
Fuckface
Artorias' great sword or Moonlight sword
I want Horseless Headless Horsemann's Headtaker from Team Fortress 2!
YES
Hell yes
i totaly agree
Best. Suggestion. Ever!
dont say i. say we :D
God i miss Tony. I like this series so much more than the one they have now
Oberyn Martell's spear!
I tought about the same thing FUCK YEAH OBERNY's spear
***** I don't think Oberyn ever used a sword... he had a stiletto and a spear.
***** true, but I don't recall him ever using/mentioning it.
Fenrir have you not been watching GOT lately?
Brandon Gomez I have. Why?
The Zweihander from Dark Souls !
Zweinhander from Dark souls
the blueblood sword is awensome too
Metal Gear Rising - Raiden's High Frequency Blade.
That would actually be REALLY cool. Although I'd prefer it if they made Roronoa Zoro's Shusui, but hey, Kenshin's made of awesome too.
Edit: dude, did you just edit it to annoy me? D:
Jet Stream Sam's Murasama
This was freakin epic, I'm legit blown away
