I think the weapons wasn´t all like these in quality.. But it was a hard work for sure...
that's why blacksmiths are portrayed as buff,especially dwarfs.

The blacksmiths that made things like this were very very well paid. They were the most skilled of their regions and were usually employed by whatever ruling body that owned/supervised the land.
When it came to like general work or general military purpose, they had others for that.

The first twist he mess it up because he heated the part too hot... The second twist done at a much lower temperature was definitely better.
Geralt's swords are based on actual weapons, though.
So they'll always look and cut better than some weird fantasy thing.

As a matter of fact, Crowns are an actual currency. Czech Crowns (Korunas), 1 dollar is about 23 Crowns.

They always put so much emphasis on the testing part, but I just wanna to see more of the sword
Agreed, I feel the director of this show put emphasis always on their faces, their bodies, and hands. The blade is rarely in focus, and if it is, it's in extreme closeup and it's rare to see the blade given proper focus except for the pretest montage for 3-5 seconds. Unfortunate.

The production quality on this show is so incredible. For those who want it chronologically:
1. Duny (Emhyr) was cursed, apparently since birth. (This wasn't actually true, but it's irrelevant.)
2. Duny and Pavetta fell in love.
3. Geralt lifts Duny's curse and asks for child of surprise. Pavetta was pregnant (with Ciri).
4. Geralt initially refuses Ciri, ends up with her again, and decides to take her to Kaer Morhen anyway. He also learns that she is a Source (has Elder Blood or whatever).
5. Yennefer trains and tutors Ciri in magic, to try and harness her power. I think Triss does too.
6. Ciri becomes Yen and Geralt's adopted child.
7. Lots of time passes.
8. Geralt is killed with a pitchfork, Yen resurrects him.
9. Ciri creates special island for them, and goes off into another dimension.
10. Wild Hunt appear and kidnap Yennefer (to lure Ciri out).
11. Geralt joins Hunt in return for Yen's freedom.
12. Later, he somehow escapes, and returns to witchering, with no recollection of Yen or Ciri.
13. Witcher 1 game begins. Witcher 2 happens. Geralt regains memory. Witcher 3 happens.

It was also a matter of status. Having a well made sword on your belt was akin to a badge of honor or rank.
Yeah I can't even imagine how difficult how it would've been, also swords were kind of like a status symbol, if you had a good sword on your belt you meant something.
It definitely would have to temper that with the fact that blacksmithing without modern machinery was all they knew. Smiths would have been masters at using coal-burning forges. Also, they would have apprentices to act like their power hammer.
I think they main disadvantage they would have had would be the ignorance of metallurgical science, chemistry and techniques. Now, via the internet, a smith in training can access thousands of years of learning in the art of metal forging from all of the great smithing cultures of the world.

He's fascinated by ancient techniques, he has a soft spot for katanas and Japanese forging methods, he makes his own tools and is self-taught, and he even holds a lilting accent to his voice, giving his words an air of mystery and power. Without a doubt, my favorite member of the crew, Matt coming a close second.

Andrew Rodriguez Moonlight greatsword has a history with Fromsoft, yes, but its not nearly as intricate or aesthetic as the Sword of Artorias, which would just plainly be more impressive if replicated in real life.

Rick Schmidt You don't need to start with all the high tech stuff, you can start with a drill, bench grinder and sand paper. Heck you can start with nothing but files and become a good bladesmith. You might only be starting with making knives and not swords but thats what you build to. Again I only just started, I've been doing this for 4-5 months and in that time I've been completely self taught and I can see improvement in my knives.

First off, most of the books are officially translated into english. Hell, they're even available as audiobooks in english. Not all of them, true, the last two are still missing official translations. But there are fan translations in english. And they're pretty good too. Nothing that will take away from the story that is being told. I myself am still waiting for the official ones though, as I prefer paper to displays.
Secondly, you actually never stated that they were silver coated steel blades until after someone called you out. You made a minor grammatical error, got called out on it, and instead of saying "oops, sorry, meant to say coated" you went all defensive as shit, getting borderline offensive, talking about how you read the books and how you doubt anyone else had read them all. Also, you are clearly not typing random things because you are bored. That is called trying too hard.
Its cool that you read all the books in polish. I wish I could. Heck, I bet we all wish we could. Why? Because we're all Witcher-fans and want to read them as soon as we can. @@guleeddimbil9573 You have to kill something while it has 10 charges. The weapon description says it quite clearly. But you only get +2 damage per kill and the bonus damage caps at 10*([your level] - [Aerondight level] + 1)
