Daughter had a noisey vibrating fan a couple years ago. Neighbors cat chased a mouse into the engine compartment and it got exterminated by the fan. Mice meat was stuck to the blade throwing it out of balance. Messy cleanup fixed it. Lol

Fan finally bit the dust. Got it out today. Waiting on replacement parts. Lasted a couple years after the rodent rage. Tight fit on her 2003 cavalier.

I think my Fusion might be having an issue with the radiator fan not switching to the higher speed because the engine does tend to heat up more at a stop and the AC will definitely blow warm air. I've tried replacing the fan control motor relay and the issue still persists. The fuses all look good and I've had my AC system rebuilt a little over a year ago so I think the next step will be to replace the radiator fan itself. Hopefully it's not too cumbersome and something that I can do on a weekend. The Texas springtime and summer are upon us soon so I really need my AC to blow cold.

When I smack my radiator fan it turns on. So I'm guessing that's the culprit lol.

Replaced my fan and did a flush with changed thermostat and now my car overheats the other way around and loses power. However I think this is just coincidental due to my crankshaft pulley squeaking before this issue. Thought it was from my steering pump going bad but that crank made it bad. We shall see

Why would my fan work intermittently. Some days it works most of the day. Some days it doesnt turn on at all. Also if i pop the hood and notice that its not spinning and i give it a hard tap, it starts spinning. However, itll spin for like 1 or 2 mins then stop again. I dont wanna take everything apart and change the whole fan if thats not the issue. Part of me thinks its the fan motor but if that was the case wouldn't the fan not work at all? The relays and fuses are good. If it isnt the fan could it maybe be the coolant temp sensor? Or is it probably just the fan lol

Shouldn't the radiator fan(s) kick on when AC is turned on after engine warms up?

OFTEN NO NOISE! CHECK' WITH BY LOOKING WITH A FLASHLIGHT!💡💡TO MAKE SURE THE FAN IS SPINNING STRONG! YOU'LL ALSO FEEL THE AIR! KEEP YOUR HANDS AWAY FROM FANS! ONLY FEEL ABOVE! AND CHECK WITH THE FLASH LIGHT

Correct. Most times the fan motor will just go dead. It can be checked with the fan disconnected and engine off. For some vehicles the fan do kick on when the engine is off.

Do i need to change the dan blade or the whole Fanmotor with fan blade?

I recommend replacing the entire assembly. Fan motor and blade.

I have a 2008 town car. When the engine is cold and I turn the AC on, it gets ice cold. But as the car warms up, the fan runs slower and slower until it stops. And the ac blows warm. The temp gauge goes up also. My dad has a town car also. His fan runs fast. And when mine does spin, its like its in super slow speed. Would my fan be faulty? Im guessing the bearing or brushes are shot. Any thoughts?

Have a question. What if the fan speed is at a constant speed and does not max rpm on at the correct temp. To aid cooling. All fuses are good. No known relay can be found. But if coolant temp sensor is unplugged, fan output max rpm. Could the fan still be at fault?
