- Hey cruisers!
The excursion featured in this vlog was booked through ShipMate App. Don't forget to check out reviews, tips and photos with our wonderful sponsor: cruiseline.com?
Today we are visiting Nha Trang Vietnam on our Diamond Princess Asia Cruise vlog series. On this Diamond Princess cruise we'll cover 2800 nautical miles and visit Tokyo, Shimizu, Osaka, Taipei (Keelung), Hong Kong, Nha Trang & Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) Vietnam, and Singapore.
Nha Trang is a tender port, so we start off this vlog ... you guessed it, boarding a tender. The trip ashore was quite scenic, and indeed fascinating. We got a peek at the tram that takes guests to Vin Pearl amusement park. From the crazy ship traffic to the mesmerizing tram overhead it's a jaunt that's unlikely to bore you. We booked our own excursion through ShipMate App on this visit to Vietnam, so we weren't part of the usual stream of cruisers heading for buses. Instead we wandered off into what seemed like a deserted harbor. Happily we were able to regroup and gather enough information to get where we needed to go. We met our friendly guide, and traversed the storm damaged streets to rendezvous with our speedboat captain. The speedboat trip was very cool, and gave us a unique view of Nha Trang. Our first stop was La Ixa, a fun little place for all kinds of water activities. We were happy just jumping off the dock, because the current was too strong to snorkel. The next stop was Mini Beach. Mini Beach is a beautiful little resort. We had the place to ourselves for the first part of the day. We had a terrific time frolicking in the waves, swimming and generally just enjoying being together as a family. A delicious Vietnamese lunch was provided at Mini Beach, and I must say it was just fantastic. It was simple, but fresh and so satisfying. After lunch, a few more guests arrived, and brought the parasail adventures with them. We had fun watching people parasail, but decided early on that we weren't going to partake in the fun this time around. This was a beautiful day, and will long be a time we'll look back on and remember as a special family adventure. From the thoughtful conversations with our guide to the family races on the beach, it was another remarkable adventure on our Princess Cruises voyage to Asia. Thanks for joining us for this cruise vlog as we travel to Japan for our Diamond Princess Asia Cruise. We've got much more Asia cruise adventures ahead. We'll have some Asia cruise tips, more cruise vlogs from Japan, Taiwan, Vietnam, and Singapore.

Its great to see Mr. come out from behind the camera. Looks like he loves the water
OMG a private tour. How wonderful that would have been. Mini beach was beautiful and it was nice that you had it all to yourself for such a long time before the crowds arrived.
That parasailing looked wicked scary!!
Your son will have some awesome memories of his worldwide travels
I love how adventurous you and your family are. You are making lifetime memories with Jr Editor. What a lucky kiddo! Thanks for taking us along in your journey
Girl I'm with you on the parasailing! Before you said Heck no..I was thinking Ah Hell NO! I don't do outside heights at all. My hubby and daughter plan on skydiving for his 60th in a few years...I told them I would meet them when they land. Can't wait to see the next port. Xo Susan
That beach looked heavenly...minus the parasailing!! 😂 Another wonderful vlog!
My son and I parasailed in Great Stirrup Cay last October. The water was clear and beautiful and I am petrified of heights. IT WAS AMAZING! It is so peaceful and quiet up there. You do not hear ANYTHING but you and the person next to you. It is literally dead silent. We took off from a sitting position on the back of the boat and they reeled us back down smooth as could be in the exact same position. However I only went because this water was crystal clear if I couldnt see in the water I would not have done it. We also were right next to our ship, NCL Escape, so we got awesome views of it from all angles.
The parasailing looked awesome. I would have definitely done it.
Another beautiful vlog. Loving the Asia cruise trip!!
What a beautiful adventure you guys had. I really enjoy it and thank you for bringing us along.
So windy out there. It’s the best place tourism on the earth 🌏

Love all the vlogs for this holiday...it’s so different to Alaska or Mexico. Jnr Editor will have learnt so much about the different countries and meeting new friends in the kids club. 😁😁
Wonderful vlog as usual by the cruise tips tv family. I love your channel its great. Thanks sheri
I agree I would not do that parasailing. I would also only do it from a boat which I did in St. Thomas and that was a lot of fun. Fun video to watch.
Thanks Cindy!
This brings back memories of our Holland America cruise from Hong Kong to Singapore back in December!! :)
Loved that beach!
Wow...Looks like an amazing day!!!

You are very lucky to experience so many great places
You look so beautiful without make-up!!
Another great excursion!
Loved the beach day
Amazing! The beach did look like las Caletas in Puerto Vallarta!
we had to walk to a similar location 2 years ago when we were there for a private excursion, was a little worried at first but we had an amazing day so there was no need to worry lol, there just not aloud to park near the wharf unfortunately. great day trip just love Nha Trang.
Love that excursion in Nha Trang! Thanks for sharing. Would like to know which tour you were on so maybe we can book it soon too! Take care...
That looks like great place for some family time
Nice video, my only complaint (not) I wish the video was longer! LOL!!! Great like always!
Awesome! I just have 1 question: how do you keep your hand and arm so steady when you are filming yourself? (I could see it through your sunglasses)
I'm with you on parasailing. Heck to the no!
This was a great vlog! The beach looked so relaxing until the parasailing started, lol. I'm way too afraid of heights to attempt that!
Agreed, I love parasailing, but not like that.
Enjoyed your video.
Great videos however I wish they were listed in order. i kept having to find which video was next instead of being able to just watch one after another ;)
Great video. This year will be 50 years since I visited Vietnam, curtesy of the US Army. I would love to go back and see how it’s changed.
Kenneth, thank you for your comment, but more importantly, thank you for your service. I sure hope you get to visit again. the people are lovely.
Welcome Home Ken. I was in the Nha Trang area in 1968 and was stationed on Hon Tre Island which is where the Vinpearl is today. May schedule a Southeast Asia cruise in 2023 which makes a stop in Nha Trang, but would like to spend more than a day there.
What time of year did you go on your cruise? Do you have any idea what’s the weather going to be in December?
I love it 💖💖💖
What a pretty city at night.
Lol come on Sheri, where’s your sense of adventure? #Parasailing 😂
Haha- I left my sense of adventure on the ship that day.
The chaos is normal in that part of the world! The traffic in Hanoi! Really a shock to people familiar only with the traffic laws in the USA!
Awesome we will be there in December this year, please tell me what which money 💰 do I need in Asia for the whole trip 👍👌💰💰💰
The weather their sounds like Texas weather. LOL
How and where you book this cruise?
when you do a cruise, do you have to apply for visa in Vietnam. I am thinking of taking my family to go cruising in Asia. Thank.
On our cruise, the cruise line took care of it for us
That parasailing looked so sketchy. Dont think I could do that one and Im pretty adventerous
That looked pretty incredible overall though. Seeing that culture is my dream
Amazing piece of heaven there
it looked like a story you hear about how somebody died and you're like whaaatt!
You mentioned booking the excursion through the Ship Mate App, but how did you go about arranging for the guide?
The guide was included with the excursion- he met us outside the cruise terminal and took care of us all day.
What was the name of this Tour?
We booked this tour through: phamtoursvietnam.com/phumy-port-ho-chi-minh-city-private-tour.html
Please try to come kerala in India and is considered must place to visit in a lifetime by national geographic channel. It has beautiful backwaters and is a rare site on earth.
Am I the only one who notices the tour guide constantly holding the kids hand, like it looks like no problem, but kinda strange. Like if I went on a tour with my siblings, the guide could lead, I'll take my sisters hand for guidance.
Nathaniel Trinidad I thought it was lovely. Like he was protecting him.
