@@jimhedra358 Go see them if you get half a chance. They are playing some festivals in Germany this summer and are setting up additional European shows. They had a big British contingent at the Troubadour shows in LA this past May so I'm sure a London date is in the works.
@@HedraUK I've seen them 4 times and did the VIP each time so I got the meet 'n' greet. I teased Pau so badly one time she screamed. 3 times I was in the front row and almost within arm's length of their mic stands. I have live video posted on my channel, particularly 'Evolve' at the Troubadour, when Dany jumped up on a speaker cabinet and I had to get my hand out of the way of her boots!
WOW - we are absolutely blown away with the response this video is getting. We are trying our best to make sure we respond to each of you but we are a DIY band with full time jobs, so bare with us but we do want to get back to you all. Thank you all so much for your support! 🖤🤘
This band has a HUGE following. I would suggest reacting to Disciple or Evolve and then just dive into their older videos. They have been pumping out awesome original music(an EP and 3 full albums) since 2015 kind of under the mainstream radar. They have almost 50 original songs which are all keepers imo. In answer to your guitarist question is NO this is 3 sisters adding a 4th member would be too disruptive. Be better off having the bass player(Ale and yes she could play guitar) laying down the tracks and then playing rhythm guitar like Powerwolf. ;)
5:24 These girls are just amazing, I’ve been watching them since 2014 when they covered Enter Sandman, I knew then that they would make it big! I’ve just tonight found out that they’re opening for Muse in Mexico early this year, this will be great for them because they cite Muse as their biggest inspiration! If you do look at any more of their work you can look at anything and you won’t find anything mediocre about it, their lyrics are amazing and all relate to life and times. Maybe their latest “cover” aka reinvention of Enter Sandman would be of interest it was released for the Metallica Blacklist album and is the #1 track. 0:01 Edit: They have just announced that early this year they will be opening for Muse at the Mexican leg of their tour, 4 gigs in all, if that doesn’t just say it all!
I discovered these amazing sisters last year. At the time I had not been to a live concert since the early 2000s. I saw them live 3 times and had tickets to 4 more shows that I couldn't make it to. One of the few bands that sounds just as good or even better live. The way they structure their songs to generate a wall of sound from a 3 piece is amazing. Their fans travel from all over the world to catch their live shows. Incredible energy, passion, and just a joy of playing that creates an unforgettable experience and leaves you wanting more. Oh, and they're some of the nicest people you'll ever meet. Look forward to more reactions of TW from you guys and I definitely invite you to check out their live material.
Hi there John, thanks for your reply, we'd definitely love to see them live they're a very committed and talented bunch as you say, we've watched some of the early days videos, quite an incredible journey they've documented very well too, if only we had done the same!
I totally hear you on the wall of sound effect, their sound is so clean, vibrant and energetic. We really want to see them live if we can, hopefully they'll be UK side sometime in future. We'd love to watch their show. We have had a lot of requests for more The Warning content, so we will work on that as we approach our first festival performance of the year at HRH Hammerfest in February, we will try our best but can't promise as that is our primary focus until the 13th Feb outside of our full time jobs and families. However, we should have some great live footage for you all though on this channel, from that. Please do check out our other content and consider hitting the subscribe button if you like what you hear and haven't already done so, we'd love your feedback on our music, as a DIY band feedback is so important to us. Are you seeing TW at any other shows this year?
How do they play live? They are 100% Better live than recorded! The Warning is a band of 3 sisters. Daniela, Paulina, and Alejandra. They live in Monterrey, Mexico and have been rocking out as a band since 2012 (when they were 12, 10, and 7 years old)! Their parents loved music and they grew up watching and listening to rock concerts. Daniela (Dany) and Paulina (Pau) attended a music initiation class when they were 5 and 3 respectively. Alejandra (Ale’) attended the same class when she was old enough. They loved it. They all started classical piano lessons when they were between 6 and 7 years old. When Dany was 7 their dad bought them the Rock Band video game and they absolutely fell in love with rock music and performing on stage…. even though it was just a game. When Dany was 8 years old her dad asked her if she wanted to learn another instrument, along with piano. She chose the guitar. Pau chose the drums when she was 6, and Ale’ chose the bass at 6 (but was too small to play it until she was 7). Ale’ had been playing bass for all of about 1 month when they decided to play together and that was when the band was formed. Note- their parents never pushed them to do this. This project was 100% the girl’s decision. Their parents completely supported them but never pushed them. In 2014 they made a video to send to their grandparents to show them how they had progressed in their playing. The video was too big to just email so their dad uploaded it onto UA-cam. It was a cover of Metallica’s Enter Sandman and it went viral! To date it has well over 24 million views and was shouted out by Metallica’s Kirk Hammett, as well as many other famous bands. The girls were caught off guard completely by the attention this video got and they had to make a decision- they quit school and started homeschooling in order to devote as much time as possible to their music. They were 100% committed to this project and have never slowed down since (practicing 2 hours a day separately and another 2 hours together daily). In 2015 they released an EP called Escape the Mind. They released their first album in 2017 called XXI Century Blood (21st Century Blood) They released their second album in 2018 called Queen of the Murder Scene. It was a concept album telling the story of a young woman’s journey from desire, to love, to infatuation, to obsession, to psychotic, to murder, to remorse, and finally to suicide. It was an amazing album and was up for an Independent Music award in 2019. They just released (in 2022) their third album (first since signing to Lava Records) called Error. It is simply amazing! Dany sings lead on about 75% if the songs. Pau sings lead on about 25% of the songs. Ale’ is a little shy about singing lead but steps in and sings lead when needed. All 3 can literally jump in and sing lead on any song if needed (with no real drop-off in quality) and their harmonies in songs are simply amazing! They have opened for several great bands including Alice Cooper, Def Lepard, Stryper, The Foo Fighters, The Pretty Wreckless, Halestorm, Three Days Grace, Guns n Roses, and others. They just finished a 103 concert tour for 2022 in Mexico, the US, Canada, Columbia, and Peru. Alessia Cara (Canadian pop star) was also asked to participate but had no idea what to do. Because she shares the same management group as The Warning, she contacted them for help. It was difficult to do as Alessia was in Canada and The Warning were in Mexico and travel with COVID was not happening. They made it work and developed/recorded this completely re-imagined song in one week. They got David Bendeth (who mixed their latest album Error) to produce it. They created the music video with the same logistical restrictions. Because of that you will see that Alessia appears as a projection on the wall in the video as she was not there. It was recorded in an abandoned textile mill outside of Monterrey, Mexico: ua-cam.com/video/9tKQgesCcTc/v-deo.html This is just the basics about the band- there is sooo much more to learn about these incredible ladies of rock! As The Warning Army says- You’ve Been Warned!
I'm hearing so much about their live shows, I must admit I'm not a huge follower of live stuff on UA-cam as it's compression destroys what it'd be like to be present. I hope they come to the UK

@@jimhedra358 They will probably be in the UK this year, 2023. They have a couple of shows booked in Germany so far and I'm sure that will expand throughout Europe. They toured the US and Canada in 2022. Also, their home country of Mexico and several countries in South America. They're rising rapidly and this should be their year to hit the top. It's a great story if you go down the rabbit hole like so many have.
As much as I love The Warning and the enthusiasm and support The Warning Army shows them, posting practically the band's entire Wiki in the comments of nearly every reaction videos is a bit much. 😁
I love that, we didn't fake or autotune anything on our recent recording 'The Pecking Order' either, yes it could be better but we wanted raw, it works sometimes
This is their more radio friendly single. For The Warning I recommend looking on their official UA-cam channel for live performances, which they have pro shot videos for most of their songs. The recent song which is to me the most interesting structure wise is Evolve.
This a band you definetly need to know better. Their entire career since they were very young is documented on UA-cam up to this, their THIRD album. When you learn their history and see the talent each one has both technical and creatively then you will get the full effect from their songs specially their Queen Of The Murder Scene concept album, which is a masterpiece done when they were 18, 16 and 13. I'd love to see you react to their live performances.
This was the first song from their latest album we hardcore fans heard and saw from them as the pandemic was in full swing, things getting delayed and cancelled. Then on Patreon they dropped this video. It brought tears to my eyes. Amazing song and performance.
It sounds like they did their best to help people through the pandemic, in their own way, with music. Thanks for sharing this with us. We heard they're on Patreon, we've considered this for ourselves but wouldn't know where to start with it, plus it's another platform to stretch ourselves over and as a DIY band we're already stretched enough. What kind of content do they put up on Patreon? What, as a Patreon supporter do you find engaging and what would you want to see/know/hear/watch?
Great band of sisters. You should react to them live next. They do some great live sessions and some really good live videos from Lunario CDMX and Whiskey A Go Go from when they were a bit younger.
Thanks for the recommendations, we will give them a look. They're fantastic! We're blown away by their drumming and vocals We are curious about how they perform their songs live from a technical perspective. We are a DIY metal/rock band and we are in the first stages of working out how to put on a great show on bigger stages given the newer material we're released and are trying to work out how other bands accomplish that studio feel, live on a stage. What do you think? Lots of backing tracks and layering or do you prefer a band to go with a bit more of a rawer edge?
@@HedraUK This is more recent in Mexico City at Teatro Metropólitan a very prestigious venue in Mexico they sold out there 1st day in like hours so a second night was added a Monday and it sold out just as quick. @@HedraUK I guess it depends on the song, and how you want to sound live, I guess the important thing is to be able to sound legit even when you use tracks
The Warning are simply phenomenal, they are one of the few bands that actually sound even better live than their studio recordings. Their passion and enjoyment for what they do really shows in their live shows and in their interviews, as well as the Instagram live streams they do on their special days. Dany, Pau and Ale are so open and honest in everything they do, it's incredible how much of themselves they show to the fans and those that see them. They are respectful to everyone they meet and have nothing but genuinely good things to say about bands they have performed with. Their skill with their instruments is just out of this world and nearly every single song contains some very deep and often dark messages about society or individuals torments. This song Choke for instance is about drowning in depression and feeling overwhelmed by people trying to pull them in various directions, when all they want is to be left alone to try and sort things out for themselves, that sometime too much help can do more harm than good. Of course all their song are written in such a way that you can make up your own mind about what is being conveyed, they're that good at writing lyrics.
We really like their style, we think they sound great and it's clear that they have a lot of good energy and passion, as do their fan base. Thank you for commenting, we hope you enjoyed our content and will consider taking a look at our other content including our music. We're getting ready for our biggest show to date, so we're really inspired by other bands/artists that give a kick ass show and are watching, reading, fiddling and experimenting as much as we can in order to put on better shows in future, just like The Warning (fingers crossed) although we don't have the energy of youth on our side as these wonderful ladies do, we will still try our best to produce a great show.
WELCOME to The Warning Hedra, These 3 sisters from Mexico sound just as full on stage as they do on video. I am from Liverpool UK and was so impressed by these girls that I flew to Texas in May last year to see them perform in 3 concerts. YES!!! It was well worth the journey. The Warning may not be a metal band but more hard rock. Pau (20) on drums has a set of lungs on her, too. Try Dust to Dust and watch her take lead vocals whilst simultaneously drumming. One of many leads she does. Lunario cdmx is a good video. Dany(22) on guitars and lead vocal is as good as a front woman you will ever get. Touring with Halestorm this year, Lzzy Hale has declared she has 3 new sisters. Ale(18) on the bass is such an amazing player. Evolve, Dull Knives, ERROR ,Animosity, Disciple are also songs you should check out. Thanks for the reaction, guys. A pause for your comments would be a good idea instead of talking over the song and missing out on some good parts. Cheers lads. 🤟
Absolutely amazing live. Dany (the guitarist and lead singer) is what I call the belting queen! she hits those soaring notes every time. I got the pleasure of seeing them live in NYC. their energy is contagious!
The Warning are three sisters from Monterrey, Mexico that started making music very young Alejandra (Ale = Aleh, not the beer. Bass, backing vocals and keyboard, the youngest- 18) and Paulina (Pau = Pow. Drums, backing/lead vocals and keyboard, middle sister 20) at 3 and Daniela (Dany = Dany. Guitar, lead vocals and keyboard, the oldest 22) 5, all learning classical piano. They got the video game Rock Band and fell in love with the feeling of performing on other instruments. Their father asked if they wanted to learn another instrument and the girls jumped at the opportunity and gravitated to the instruments they played in Rock Band. They had been uploading their musical journey to UA-cam for their family to see and had wanted to try and play music together as a band around 2012 and started rehearsing for a small performance for their school xmas show. Well They loved the experience so much they began learning and playing cover songs of hard rock and metal bands. One song in particular shot them into the limelight. That song, "Enter Sandman" by Metallica had gone viral (currently over 22 000 000 views) and had gotten the attention of Metallica, Dee Snyder and The Ellen Show! The Warning wrote, composed and recorded an EP called Escape the Mind in 2015 to experience that whole process and to determine what type of music they liked to make... Thankfully they chose Rock/Hard Rock! Ellen Degeneres invited the band to play live on her show, to which they accepted and played "Crazy Train" by Ozzy Osbourne, after the performance Ellen and Target awarded the sisters $10,000 each to attend Berklee School of Music in Boston, Ma. USA. They performed a number of small and large shows afterward and began writing and composing new material for their first full length album "XXI Century Blood" in 2017. They supported this album with some very high profile gigs like opening for Def Leppard and separately The Killers for two shows each in Mexico. Also following other large rock bands in a couple music festivals. In 2018 they wrote and recorded "Queen of the Murder Scene" and released it in November of that year and have toured Mexico and South American venues. In June of 2019 they released a single, "Narcisista". A scathing rebuke of their Mexican critics that had accused the band of being "Malinchista" a Mexican term used to call out cultural traitors, because the group has only recorded English language songs. Well this song is in Spanish and it is full of attitude and angst fired toward those critics. This was recorded live in June 2019 at Foro Didi in Monterrey Mx (their hometown) - ua-cam.com/video/O7IAEhN4RMM/v-deo.html The Warning is totally fan-funded through Patreon, UA-cam and crowdfunding platforms like GoFundMe and Kickstarter. They have turned down offers from record labels and talent shows like American Idol because they did not want to lose their control of their music, image and wanted to focus on learning. In fact in one interview with a record label they were asked if they would rather play to 12 people or 12000. Paulina piped up and said The Warning would rather play in front of 12 if it meant they would keep their integrity and could play the music they want to play, how they want to play... That is the most Rock n Roll quote ever! So after a very successful Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for a North American tour and to record a new album achieving their goal within 24 hours and surpassing that goal by 600%. Unfortunately the Covid-19 Pandemic forced the band to cancel their tour plans and postpone making their album. Their last live show before the global lockdown was March 14 2020 at the Vive Latino 2020 Festival in Mexico City. This did not stop The Warning from performing though, they played a full concert set from their basement studio/rehearsal space for free for their fans on UA-cam and Facebook achieving well over 50,000 simultaneous viewers on March 25, 2020. They have since performed from The Warning Cave a couple more times including for the city of Brownsville, Tx. for the Fourth of July virtual celebration and later in the summer for a charity event with rock legends like Slash and Ringo Star. On August 9th 2020 The Warning announced to their Patreon community that after seven long months of negotiations they had signed a five record deal with Lava Records, a label under the Republic Records and Universal Music family. During the announcement they reiterated their dedication to their own creative integrity and dedicated fans on Patreon and were able to retain both in their record contract with Lava. In Sept of 2020 The Warning traveled to New Jersey, USA to begin rehearsal and eventually recording of their third album. After three months of recording and a month and a half of mastering, mixing and editing the third album was completed at the beginning of February, 2021. All that remains as of 22/02/21 is the album design and artwork and logistics of the release which will hopefully happen by the end of 2021. In March of 2021 The Warning was invited to cover a song from Metallica's eponymous 5th album (The Black Album) with Canadian Grammy and Juno award winning pop star Alessia Cara for Metallica's Blacklist album. A 30th anniversary celebration for the Metallica album. They selected to record Enter Sandman, a fitting song because it was this song that propelled The Warning 7 years previous into stardom. The Warning reimagined the song with Alessia and produced a fresh new feeling that goes above and beyond what others have done with the song... On May 21 2021 they released the single "Choke" to critical acclaim ua-cam.com/video/TlOy0XbFVlM/v-deo.html . Followed by a new release roughly every month through to Sept. On October 8th, 2021, The Warning released six songs that were recorded for the new album on an EP titled Mayday with the remaining 6 songs to be released at a later date. Starting on the 18th of Feburary 2022 The Warning started out on their previously twice cancelled North American Mayday Tour. Their forst show was on Saltillo Mx followed by a short set openning for Mammoth WVH in Las Vegas, NV and another short set opening for Sammy Hagar in Austin Tx at the SXSW Festival. In Mexico City on March 18, The Warning got to open So now you've been WARNED! I hope you will check out more of their music and see how they have grown. WOW - that's a lot of information, thank you for sharing with us and everyone else. You must really love them. It's been great connecting with so many from The Warnings fan base, you guys are amazing and so supportive. We hope our fans present and future will be just as enthused by our material as you guys are about The Warning's. We really like dust to dust and are considering doing a cover ourselves as our drummer has a phenomenal voice, but we make no promises. Narcisista is a great song, one that in future they may do in English, do you think? Not that is needs an English version, it's fantastic on it's own merit, like Rammstein's songs are great in German and don't need translation although they also have cross over material in English. What do you think?
@@HedraUK Thanks, I became aware of The Warning just about 4 years ago and have shared the bio I had written about them to every new rector to help spread their story to them and their viewers. I really don't think an English version is on the way of Narcisista nor do I think there needs to be one. Narcisista was written to and about their Mexican critics that derided them for writing English only songs and nothing in Spanish. They are basically telling those critics that they will write their songs in whatever language they feel like. Language is important to The Warning, they use Japanese in their song Queen of the murder scene when in the pre-chorus Pau (The Drummer) says "Koruso koruso koru koruso" or Kill, kill time to kill". On their new album they use French in the song Amour.
We don't doubt it. We asked the question bc we're in the process of taking ourselves from performing smaller venues to larger stages and are working out how to create a live show. We are a DIY band and really want to ensure we nail putting on a great live show, money and time being our biggest barriers as we all work full time jobs and have responsibilities in life - but taking a 'studio' feel recording and turning that into a live performance is the challenge and we really want to do a good job. People here in the comments have been very supportive, and given us their thoughts. It's been really lovely reading through the comments. Backing tracks and all kinds of technology go into producing a live show, that's par for the course these days, but it's a tricky, fun and stressful challenge working it all out.
@@HedraUK The backing tracks these girls use are extremely limited, to a couple seconds here and there, and it's not all proprietary instruments all the time either. Sound effects such as sirens, and recordings of them screaming for chilling effects, and more are added for certain songs. A little piano track, added here and there, but it's all them still. They do not use them as full song fillers for missing instruments, like a lot of bands do these days. Nothing wrong with it, if used smart, and only when needed. I am only against them when they are relied upon so heavily, that the band is basically lip singing the song, and are a fake performance act, not an actual band playing. Seen plenty of that lately, and it's such a deal breaker. Respect is gone.
Thank you! We're so taken aback to the extremely positive response to this video and be so welcomed by The Warnings community and fan base. You guys rock 🤘 😎 ⚠ Thanks for subscribing, hopefully you'll like our other content just as much.
Check out their live concert from Teatro Metropolitan. It’s a great show beginning to end. UA-cam has the full show and there are individual videos of the songs as well. I’d just watch the full show as it’d be easier to get the full concert feel, even if you react to a song at a time. The song Z is a great opener.
TW have a huge list of songs of the best musical and artistic level, complete and rounded, both in their lyrics and in their instrumentation. In addition, they are 3 women who are each one of the best as human beings and have the impetus to "devour" the world. You put this combination of pure talent and energy on stage and you get The Warning... An unmissable bet!! Greetings ⚡🎸🥁🎸⚡
Bought my 1st concert tickets in decades to see The Warning open for Three Days Grace in Vancouver. Most were there to see 3DG, but the buzz in the room after The Warning’s set was amazing to see. Fantastic
They are sisters, so it would take a while for their mum to pop out a new member and get her trained up. There is a live session version of the, it sounds close to this. Live on stage they are monsters. Check out Narcisista live at Foro Didi. It’s in Spanish but it’s a very strong song that doesn’t need English. All you need to know is they wrote it because they were pissed at someone.
I am 64 years old and The Warning has become my all time favorite band. I have always loved power trios and these 3 sisters are incredible. I have seen them live twice and they are even better in concert. I am a proud patreon for The Warning and one other music prodigy, Angelina Jordan. Angelina won Norway's Got Talent at age 8 singing jazz. She signed with Republic Records at 14 but her family didn't want her promoted until ready. Angelina has been living in Los Angeles meeting many in the music industry but few people outside the industry know her. Many metal heads have become a Angelina angel because her voice hugs your soul when she sings. Here is a link to her genius arrangement of "Bohemian Rhapsody" ua-cam.com/video/qF0JV28vgLw/v-deo.html
We've seen some of the live stuff from when they were a lot younger, looks like we will have to find a recent live session and make another video for you guys!
In my honest opinion they are perfect as they are they don’t need another guitar or bass or anything else their sound is really tight with just the three of them so no need for another member cheers guys and great reaction
Hello Gents. Thanks for reaction! I saw them few months ago in Vegas. Incredible live. I mean they have been playing Rock music since like 6 years old. Love them! i’ll check out your band. Cheers from Las Vegas NV.

Hi. Thanks for the list. I watched other videos of “The Warning”. I enjoyed but something else pays my attention. Those brilliant Girls have an amazing history. I couldn't believe how early they start band adventure!!! Respect!!! 🔥🖖🤟
These 3 sisters are wildly talented beyond their years. They all started out playing the Piano then Dad bought them the Video Game Rock Band and that is when they got the idea to start a band but they had to wait til Ale got a bit older. Ale plays bass and is excellent at it. Rock Band studios was so impressed with them they put the warning on the game Rock Band 4. Watch this The Warning - Video Diary (Berklee). Metallica was so impressed with the Enter Sandman they did they had them do their Version of it and put it on the Blacklist Album. Pau (Paulina) plays the drums and does most of the writing or gets it started then the others help finish the song. Ron Ellefeson from Megadeth taught them at Berklee. Dany plays a mean Guitar and only one needed.
Hello from UK, thanks for reacting These ladies are going to be huge. Like HUGE. This is what we need to give us hope for the future. ROCK ON You've been warned, clearly
They were independent until 2020 when they signed with Lava/Republic Records. If you want to see some of the technical aspects of how they do their shows I suggest: Paulina Villarreal Masterclass - Soundcheck Xpo 2022. English Subtitles (Official Stream) Pau goes into how they write the songs all the way to how she has programmed what backing tracks they use and synchronizing it all. Mostly, they play what they need for the backing tracks themselves but as in the song Copper Bullets from their first LP, 21st Century Blood, they have some gunshots and sirens on a backing track since they really can't do those during a live show. She also explains how she triggers changes using midi pedals by her drum kit. Not only is Pau an exceptional drummer, she is a self professed gear nerd and has spent a lot of time integrating their shows with Ableton software. BTW, Pau is also usually the person that writes the start of their songs on the family piano and then takes it to her sisters where they add the instrumental composition and finish it up together. As Ale has commented they are all involved and that makes their songs sound like them. Dany has commented, every second of every track is important. Oh yeah, all three played classical piano before picking up the instruments they usually use so it is not unusual for one of them to play keys if that is what the song requires. All three are also capable of singing lead. Generally, Dany does 75% plus with Pau doing the balance but if Dany has voice problems as in a cold or sore throat Ale will take the lead for some songs also.
Live, huh? ua-cam.com/video/-VUCzqDyOdI/v-deo.html - Dull Knives (cut better) recorded in their basement studio in 2020 as part of a virtual charity concert. This is the vid That Lzzy Hale of Halestorm saw and then quickly invited them to join her 2022 US tour. ua-cam.com/play/PL3IHEFyypHXEa8O3o-fPnt39L_9xhaGTs.html - Playlist of their second sold out show at the Whiskey a Go Go in 2020 with very good sound. I would suggest Dust to Dust, P.S.Y.C.H.O.T.I.C. and Survive to get a feel for how they incorporate different influences (grunge, rock, punk, pop etc) yet still keep a consistent feel that will be recognizable after you've heard a bit more from them. Tons of live stuff on their channel as well as all the fan vids posted. Personally, I think the live shows are better. Not a lot of bands I can say that about.
They're fantastic! We're blown away by their drumming & vocals . We have seen some of their live stuff from when they were much younger and their instruments swamped them - they were so young! We will check out the videos you've recommended, we are curious about how they perform the song live from a technical perspective.
@@HedraUK Overall I prefer more stripped down over backing tracks/layering but not by much. Being able to go either way (and knowing when) to suit the feel you want is key.
They will stay a power trio. When they were looking for a record label an executive said sign with us and you can play for 12000 a night or stay on your own and play for 12 fans a night. The drummer stood up and said I think I speak for my sisters we would rather play our way for 12 fans then make the changes you want.
Absolutely! It's 6am UK time and we have to go to work, but it looks like we are going to be very busy this evening and over our lunch breaks! We're glad you like, please do consider taking a look at our earlier content and hitting the subscribe button if you haven't already! Thankyou and have a great day, I think we all will - our minds are blow!
The great composition capacity of THE WARNING is incredible, excellent lyrics and intelligent messages, TW the new geniuses of Rock, there is no one who performs live and composes the volume of quality songs like THE WARNING, Choke is just a sample of the excellent songs from the album ERROR
Check out the video of Paulina the drummer at 10 years old that is on YT. You will see her skills. Perfect timing and precision. Unbelievable at that age. Seen them three times this year and they sound as good live as in studio. No don't need another drummer. They would need another sister.
These ladies started when they were very young, so they did live performances for many years before going into the studio. This makes a big difference over bands that start doing studio work early on. This means they sound great live, of course there is always a difference between the two, studio over live, ambient live sound conditions can be varied and therefore tricky. They are a very energetic sonically tight group and I actually prefer their live performances.
Rush and Nirvana did not need a 2nd guitar, and neither does The Warning, in my opinion. The band does approach all their songs with the view of how to play it live - even if there are malfunctions. They use InEarz and a click track where Pau (Paulina, the drummer) runs Ableton Live 10 on her laptop - but they keep playing on if something crashes.
We couldn't agree more, they sound great as they are. Our drummer uses a click track, and we run logic on our laptop and we would keep playing if anything crashes which, with our 2015 MBP and logic, it inevitably will. We're saving up to make the investment into equipment to support our aspirations, part of that we hope will come from content on UA-cam and streaming on Twitch starting in March, but we've quite a way to go before that will bring in any kind of funding support to go towards these things. E.P sales and Merch sales at gigs and festivals certainly helps, but we are working on increasing our digital profile as we are well known on the underground live scene in England, but our dream is to play more festival stages and cut back on small clubs and pubs for 2023/24 - hone our skills on a larger stage and create a great live show. We are also working on building our own Music Studio by converting a barn in Norfolk, in the UK and we have got one video up about that with updates to come soon and work to start up again in March. So, as you can tell we are trying to push ahead, but ultimately it all comes down to time and money. Thank you for the information, it's really interesting to hear what others are using.
Guys...it's okay to pause and talk. You miss a lot when you talk over the video. Also, your current subscribers aren't able to listen to the music. As fans, we want first time listeners to enjoy this band to the max. Glad you like them. Best trio around. Don't get lost when you fall down this rabbit hole. I've been lost down here for half a year!!
Other great TW songs are: DISCIPLE,CHOKE,EVOLVE, Z , ANIMOSITY, MARTIRIO,MONEY,KOOL AID KIDS,AMOUR,23, ERROR, REVENANT,BREATHE from the album by Error AND HIS PREVIOUS MATERIAL LIKE SHATTERED HEART, THE END, HUNTER , DULL KNIVES, BLACK HOLES, QOTMS, UNMENDABLE, SHOW ME THE LIGHT, ESCAPE THE MIND ,EXTERMINATED,PSYCHOTIC , all huge songs
Welcome to this rabbit hole! I'm 63 and german. I can't recall a band this young getting so much respect from all generations. But they are simply fantastic. While liking some metal, I do consider them the best hard rock band of our days above the grass (as cowboy Kent Rollins would put it).
Gentlemen... The ladies have a couple of videos talking about their 🎸 guitars and 🥁 drums, plus their amps, boards, and computers that they use during concert... Im sure you would like to hear directly from them what they use while playing... The videos are on their YT page... I will try to find a link to them...
Can they do it live? Search "The Warning - CHOKE (LIVE Session)" to find out! Want to be further blown away? search for "The Warning: Survive at TEDx" or "Dust to Dust - THE WARNING - LIVE at Lunario CDMX". The three sisters are the resurrection of Rock!
They're fantastic! We're blown away by their drumming &vocals . We have seen some of their live stuff from when they were much younger and their instruments swamped them like an over-sized T-shirt. We will check out the video you recommended, we are curious about how they perform the song live from a technical perspective.
@@HedraUK Layering or raw? Depends on the band. Every artist and band has their own style. As a consumer (fan), I just expect to be honest. That is I expect the performance to be the actual work of artists on the stage regardless if they use backing tracks to fill out the sound.
@@HedraUK The most important thing with performing live is to get the audience involved and feel like part of the show. This is a phone recording of their latest performance that occurred in Lima, Peru last year. ua-cam.com/video/WEYUvZTBZw8/v-deo.html They all wear in-ears all the time and listen to a click track that allows them to always be on time and if the song needs it they might add an extra prerecorded instrument in there. If their backtrack would fail you normally would not notice it at all. PS. Your band name means *Honour UK* in Swedish. Let's hope that is what you do. 😜
@Hedra UK (Band) I like your honesty and openness regarding your band and ideas to suggest, regarding your live performance. Of course, I'm no expert, but what I think The Warning is very keen on is writing and arranging their music so that it does transfer to the live stage very well. Although, they, as everyone else does in the industry is layer some parts like guitars and vocal harmonies to fatten up the sound and also some augmented guitar harmonies. Performing live, it doesn't hurt to leave out some of those layering textures in place of raw energy and a great stage performance. They do, however, use some tracks now and then to supplement the live setting, like Rush sometimes did as well as a rock trio. This band was made for the live stage. They own it every time!
To the best of my knowledge, TheWarning run a backing track live. (Abelton Live) also use a click track. All run off Macs controlled and triggered by drummer Pau using a foot pedal. There are performances on You Tube where vocals are doubled, also guitar parts and even keyboards included. You really have to strain to pick them out! The live FOH engineering is brilliant because any effects are so subtle it is clear the three sisters are carrying the vocal and instrumental load. They emphasize and deliver an edgy three piece sound.
My favorite band is Rush and these young women remind me so much of them as far as being a trio that is able to recreate live what they do in the studio with no additional touring musicians and of course they have a drummer that is the primary lyricist and all three write the music. They are so fiery live. From clubs to festivals and opening for huge bands I think a theater tour isn't far behind...then the arenas!
@@tweak991 unfortunately, the modern technology employed by many artists is largely misunderstood and sometimes used to disparage bands etc. Rush is an apt comparison in this area. The issue becomes valid when bands/artists lean too heavily on or misuse the technology and the effects become obtrusive. I agree there are similarities with Rush. Both bands share writing credits equally. Both do use technology very well. By the way both openly embrace their uses. Pau even explains it in a YT sound check video. Glad you get the touring venue thing! Both bands followed the clubs to theaters to arenas to… Well the warning are where Rush was in the 70’s lol The trick is to build a following (and hope a record…really streams now gets noticed). Paramor after how many years? just had their current “record” reach number one on the UK charts.
Sounds great and no additions needed. A true 3 piece power trio. The bassist is outstanding. I've never heard them before. What's their age? 18-22 ish?
We couldn't agree more, they sound great as they are. The bassist, drummer and vocalist are outstanding, I think that's what makes them so special. They've worked so hard to get to where they are, at such a young age as well. We're glad we could introduce you, as they fan base have been saying the the comments (and we're one of them now) - You Have Been Warned! 🤘 😎 ⚠ I believe the ages are now 17/18-22/23 - in 2014 they we're ages 9-14, according to wiki - I keep hearing and seeing variance on how old they are from fans but I think it depends on which song/EP/Album/Tour they're talking about. They have a bright future ahead of them, you should check out Dust to Dust and ERROR out as well, they're great songs by these young women.
Daniela "Dany" Villarreal Vélez (born January 30, 2000) - guitars, lead vocals, piano (22 years) Paulina "Pau" Villarreal Vélez (born February 5, 2002) - drums, lead and backing vocals, piano (20 years) Alejandra "Ale" Villarreal Vélez (born December 13, 2004) - bass, backing vocals, piano (18 years)
Please react to a few more songs before you break up one of the greatest power trio. Honestly, The Warning are addictive. I hope you enjoy the rabbit hole of their amazing songs. If you are an old school rocker who likes hard rock, that is fresh, new, and exciting. Then dive in!!
Ha ha thanks, yeah our laptops are getting old and we're still trying to learn it all to be better, thank you for your comment that means a lot to me. Will check it out ✔️
Thanks for the feedback, unfortunately we can't control the syncing issues are they're on the original video as the song is sung in Mexican and then dubbed over in English - I can tell you though, it confused the hell out of us too at first. Otherwise, we're glad you enjoyed our video. We're blown away by the response. I hope you'll consider taking a look at our other content and if you like it, that you'll consider giving us a subscribe. How did you discover The Warning?
I think they're doing just fine the way they are now! I mean when Rush was at they're level in they're music career did people say they needed another guitarist?
The opinion of the band and most of their fans is quite clear: No fourth member, whether male or female. They have invited other musicians to some of their shows to play special songs (especially to give the drummer Pau the chance to come upfront: ua-cam.com/video/vJbRkFDetUA/v-deo.html). But as their work is so much more than playing music and they work and harmonize so well as sisters, they will not change that just for having a second guitar permanently. But that is only my opinion.
We couldn't agree more, they sound really great as they are. No second guitarist required and having one would ruin the vibe, bc they are sisters and that story and bond is so much more powerful, don't you think? Thanks for the link, we will check that out.
It's really a great song, thanks for your comment. We hope you'll consider checking out the rest of our content and giving us a subscribe if you like it.
No! They don't need another guitarist! This Band sounds just as Awesome Live! There not the one of the Hottest bands out because they need a guitarist! There's a lot of Headliners that's going to be backing them up in the future! ,,,The Warning Army!
We totally agree, we think they're great as they are. We asked the question more because in HEDRA, our band we had two guitarist's until recently and most of us in the band think it's better with one, apart from our wonderfully humble guitarist Kamil, who wants the back up of a second guitarist but we think he sounds great on his own. One exceptional guitarist is more than enough, right?
All great bands! We love Rush and our bassist is a HUGE Muse Fan, and who doesn't love a bit of Police and ZZ Top? We also, *may* have a bit of a soft spot for The Warning... We have indeed, Been Warned.
Hi, please react to Evolve from them you will not be disappointed, I'm looking forward to seeing more of your content I just subscribed, thank you and best wishes from Monterrey Mexico.
You need to hear them live to answer your own question, for example "Evolve" live from the MTV VMA's or anything from the Teatro Metropolitan CDMX performance or "Hell You Call a Dream" live from the Pepsi Center CDMX 🤘 TWA⚡UK
Máte tam u videa znatelné zpoždění proti zvuku, a tím nemyslím real přenos, ale videoklip. Takže to asi nebude v rychlosti připojení, ale software či pravěký hardware - změnit nebo doladit! Je to dost rušivé. Jinak fajn reakce! 😉 You have a noticeable delay there with the video versus the audio, and I don't mean the real transfer, but the video clip. So it's probably not the connection speed, but the software or prehistoric hardware - change or tweak it! It's quite distracting. Otherwise, nice response! 😉
The Warning don´t do anything in the studio what they can´t replicate live. They are the best thing that has happened rock in quite while. Dany plays both lead and rhythm guitar and has a Kemper profiler floor board amplifier which she runs her guitar through. She is able to use any guitar to the fullest. Every song they write is good and live, they are incredible. I have a need to be Warned at least a couple of times every day.
With a hint of Garth and Wayne? We're not worthy 🖤🤘 We're glad you like it, we're blown away with the reception this video is getting., please do consider taking a look at our other content and hitting that subscribe button, it really helps us out. Are you a 'The Warning' Fan?
The drowning woman at 3:35 bears a striking resemblance to the image on the cover of Bill Evans and Jim Hall's classic album "Undercurrent": ua-cam.com/video/w6t2SnKJgqg/v-deo.html
lol - It's not common how "The Warning" ... behave. Sometimes you see a band/interprete live and than you have a look at the studio version. For The Warning it is really the other way around - Often you see a studio version of a song and then you (if you already know them) go, watch and hear the live-version. It's normally way better. This does not mean that their studio-versions are bad. But they are so much better live. Additionally this is an older song. Their actual album comes out in about a month. There are really a few live-gigs around: "Hell You Call A Dream" e.g. Anyhow, a good start would be to watch "Evolve" at the MTV music awards. or just watch the whole show at CDMX And yes - they ARE that good live - not only there - everytime they are playing (but the CDMX was professionally recorded) Recently - for their new album - they did some distortion for guitars and voice ... this IS a bit strange at the beginning. But let me assure that they are not doing this live. It sounds a bit different than the studio-version - mostly better. For me their studio-versions are just teasers for their live appearances.
They are way beyond better live. The drummer not only drums, sings bavkup AND lead vocals, dhe manages both the click track and background tracks with pedals. The background tracks in a live performance are muted compared to the recorded version. They are not dependent on them for a full sound. Being three sisters who formed the band nine years ago--bass player age 9, drummer 12 & guitarist 14 at the time, they are not interested in adding anyone else.
The Warning does not want to do something in the studio that they can't do live onstage. And they are fantastic live!
I like that approach to music and try to deliver the same ethos, a good point well made. Thanks for the comment much appreciated:)
@@jimhedra358 Go see them if you get half a chance. They are playing some festivals in Germany this summer and are setting up additional European shows. They had a big British contingent at the Troubadour shows in LA this past May so I'm sure a London date is in the works.
@@TimberWolf762 - I'd love to see them live, they've got great energy. It sounds like you've had the fortune to do so, is that right?
@@HedraUK I've seen them 4 times and did the VIP each time so I got the meet 'n' greet. I teased Pau so badly one time she screamed. 3 times I was in the front row and almost within arm's length of their mic stands. I have live video posted on my channel, particularly 'Evolve' at the Troubadour, when Dany jumped up on a speaker cabinet and I had to get my hand out of the way of her boots!
I agree. So many bands overdose with tracks in the studio and during the gigs, tours, and festivals can't afford the same level of quality.
🔥🤟🖖
WOW - we are absolutely blown away with the response this video is getting. We are trying our best to make sure we respond to each of you but we are a DIY band with full time jobs, so bare with us but we do want to get back to you all. Thank you all so much for your support! 🖤🤘
Thanks for your honest reaction. Im now subscribed to your channel. You have been Warned. These girls are an addiction...
Be better off having the bass player(Ale and yes she could play guitar) laying down the tracks and then playing rhythm guitar like Powerwolf. ;)
The Warning just found out they will be opening for Muse!! ua-cam.com/video/Xk7zd93qIWc/v-deo.html check out the girls reaction..

These girls are just amazing, I’ve been watching them since 2014 when they covered Enter Sandman, I knew then that they would make it big!

Edit: They have just announced that early this year they will be opening for Muse at the Mexican leg of their tour, 4 gigs in all, if that doesn’t just say it all!
I have a 30 second video on my channel "Are The Warning Fans Crazy?" with a clip of Paulina talking about the fans.
This band is phenomenal! They are incredible live. Saw them in three cities last year.
You are so lucky! We'd love to see them live. How did you discover The Warning? 🤘 😎 ⚠
@@HedraUK Just saw their Enter Sandman cover about five or six years ago and have been along for the ride ever since.
Facts🤘😎⚠️
They released their first album in 2017 called XXI Century Blood (21st Century Blood)
They released their second album in 2018 called Queen of the Murder Scene.

Bonus- In 2021 Metallica asked 53 artists (including The Warning) to take any of the 12 iconic songs from their Black album and do a cover (any way they wanted to) for their Black List album, commemorating the 30th anniversary of the Black album. It was recorded in an abandoned textile mill outside of Monterrey, Mexico: ua-cam.com/video/9tKQgesCcTc/v-deo.html
This is just the basics about the band- there is sooo much more to learn about these incredible ladies of rock!
As The Warning Army says- You’ve Been Warned!
I'm hearing so much about their live shows, I must admit I'm not a huge follower of live stuff on UA-cam as it's compression destroys what it'd be like to be present. I hope they come to the UK

They will probably be in the UK this year, 2023.
@@dark.cheshire.1065 Your opinion noted....
They sound live like they sound on the album. They don't fake or autotune anything.
I love that, we didn't fake or autotune anything on our recent recording 'The Pecking Order' either, yes it could be better but we wanted raw, it works sometimes
Thanks for joining us too
Still use studio tech. Sounds different which is fine. Live shouldn't sound like studio. Both great
They sound better live.
I'm pretty sure there isn't a single Warning fan who feels they lack anything.

This was recorded live in June 2019 at Foro Didi in Monterrey Mx (their hometown) - ua-cam.com/video/O7IAEhN4RMM/v-deo.html
The Warning is totally fan-funded through Patreon, UA-cam and crowdfunding platforms like GoFundMe and Kickstarter.
In Mexico City on March 18, The Warning got to open

@@MaddogJones Sobre hacer una version a NARCISISTA, nunca mejor explicado el porque NO.
They are the real deal. They do use backing guitar tracks live, but as you will see, they are definitely a live band.
Respect is gone.
they are really talented, remember they also sing in spanish, they are from Mexico. spanish and english is really a lot!!
Saw them live. Outstanding band. Don’t need another guitarist.

All you need to know is they wrote it because they were pissed at someone.
lol! That's true! On that note.. do they have any other siblings we should be keeping an eye on?
Even better live!

Looks like I'll be having a day of it, there's so much here thank you
These 3 sisters are wildly talented beyond their years.
You guys are funny! I look forward to seeing more from your music too.
Thanks so much!!
I think they are unique with the them all being sisters, they might get added sound the another guitarist but I prefer just just three of them live.

They were independent until 2020 when they signed with Lava/Republic Records. If you want to see some of the technical aspects of how they do their shows I suggest:
Paulina Villarreal Masterclass - Soundcheck Xpo 2022. English Subtitles (Official Stream)
Pau goes into how they write the songs all the way to how she has programmed what backing tracks they use and synchronizing it all.
@@HedraUK Overall I prefer more stripped down over backing tracks/layering but not by much. Being able to go either way (and knowing when) to suit the feel you want is key.
Welcome to the Warning Army. I hope you enjoy them as much as we all do. Good reaction. 🤘🔥
I saw them live twice in 2022. They sound just like this live. You have been warned! You should listen to Evolve and Disciple vids as well.
"The Warning", Best Rock Band Anywhere! You have been Warned!
They will stay a power trio. When they were looking for a record label an executive said sign with us and you can play for 12000 a night or stay on your own and play for 12 fans a night. The drummer stood up and said I think I speak for my sisters we would rather play our way for 12 fans then make the changes you want.
Love the response to your comments so far. I take it more is coming, yeah?
Absolutely! It's 6am UK time and we have to go to work, but it looks like we are going to be very busy this evening and over our lunch breaks!

They are 3 sisters, there’s no 4th, so no additional guitarist is available 😂
The best that i've heard in a long long time
Check out their live videos. They are astonishing! I call them The Monster Trio you’ve been warned.
One thing is for certain The Warning sounds even better live!
I hope to hear them live 🔥🤟🖖
The great composition capacity of THE WARNING is incredible, excellent lyrics and intelligent messages, TW the new geniuses of Rock, there is no one who performs live and composes the volume of quality songs like THE WARNING, Choke is just a sample of the excellent songs from the album ERROR
Check out the video of Paulina the drummer at 10 years old that is on YT. You will see her skills. Perfect timing and precision. Unbelievable at that age. Seen them three times this year and they sound as good live as in studio. No don't need another drummer. They would need another sister.
You need to hear them live!
Love the warning 🤘Best rock band in the word for.me.
They're really great. If you like rock and metal, please do check out our other content and consider subscribing if you like what you hear. 🤘 😎 ⚠
They are even better live.
The Warning ROCK ! Live even better ! 🤘⚡️🤘
Does opening for "Muse" at 4 gigs in Mexico answer your question of how they play live... oh and GnR, The Killers and the Foo Fighters amongst others
You should had watched the live version they plsyed at the Teatro Metropolitan. Its even better.
Thanks for the tip
I think you should try a live recording before discussing band size. They have a lot of them to choose from. 🔥🤘#NumberlyGarfs
We'll be doing one of those next, as we've had quite a few requests to do so in the comments. Watch this space.
The Warning plays music with dynamic sound, the best live rock artists ever
Gentlemen... The ladies have a couple of videos talking about their 🎸 guitars and 🥁 drums, plus their amps, boards, and computers that they use during concert... Im sure you would like to hear directly from them what they use while playing... The videos are on their YT page... I will try to find a link to them...

What do you think? Lots of backing tracks and layering or do you prefer a band to go with a bit more of a rawer edge?
@@HedraUK Layering or raw? Depends on the band. Every artist and band has their own style. As a consumer (fan), I just expect to be honest. That is I expect the performance to be the actual work of artists on the stage regardless if they use backing tracks to fill out the sound.
Like previously mentioned just honesty to your music and most of all have fun doing it to transmit great energy
@@HedraUK The most important thing with performing live is to get the audience involved and feel like part of the show. This is a phone recording of their latest performance that occurred in Lima, Peru last year. ua-cam.com/video/WEYUvZTBZw8/v-deo.html
They all wear in-ears all the time and listen to a click track that allows them to always be on time and if the song needs it they might add an extra prerecorded instrument in there.
Both bands followed the clubs to theaters to arenas to…
Well the warning are where Rush was in the 70’s lol
The trick is to build a following (and hope a record…really streams now gets noticed).
Paramor after how many years? just had their current “record” reach number one on the UK charts.
Gracias por la reacción de las diosas del rock. Saludos

Un trío rockero formado por tres hermanas mexicanas. Talento, energía y pasión. 🤘🇲🇽🤘🇲🇽🤘🇲🇽 Viva The Warning!!!
They're fantastic, talented, energetic and passionate exactly as you say.
I am 62 years old the warning is the best band that has cameout in a very long time.
I believe the ages are now 17/18-22/23 - in 2014 they we're ages 9-14, according to wiki - I keep hearing and seeing variance on how old they are from fans but I think it depends on which song/EP/Album/Tour they're talking about.
They have a bright future ahead of them, you should check out Dust to Dust and ERROR out as well, they're great songs by these young women.
Daniela "Dany" Villarreal Vélez (born January 30, 2000) - guitars, lead vocals, piano (22 years)
Paulina "Pau" Villarreal Vélez (born February 5, 2002) - drums, lead and backing vocals, piano (20 years)
Alejandra "Ale" Villarreal Vélez (born December 13, 2004) - bass, backing vocals, piano (18 years)
Please react to a few more songs before you break up one of the greatest power trio. Honestly, The Warning are addictive. I hope you enjoy the rabbit hole of their amazing songs. If you are an old school rocker who likes hard rock, that is fresh, new, and exciting. Then dive in!!

I've heard this song several times and watching the video here gave me goose bumps. Awesome.
Other than a serious audio/video synch issue, nice reaction.

How did you discover The Warning?
Learning process in progress. However, we enjoyed every single moment. Thank you for watching
@@HedraUK Although they do sing two songs in Spanish, all the rest of their catalog is in English, including Choke.
@@HedraUK There is no Mexican as a language, it would be Spanish. They only have two songs in Spanish Narcisista and Martirio
🤟
I think they're doing just fine the way they are now! I mean when Rush was at they're level in they're music career did people say they needed another guitarist?
We agree, we think they sound great as they are.

Ale is so skilful and groovy. Fantastic musician. They don’t need a rhythm guitar with Ale playing this well.
You need to hear them live to answer your own question, for example "Evolve" live from the MTV VMA's or anything from the Teatro Metropolitan CDMX performance or "Hell You Call a Dream" live from the Pepsi Center CDMX 🤘

I guess if the Warning are at the point to where they rate react vids like this they are doing well. Best of luck girls!
Does it need another guitarist? FUCK NO! Listen to this live for God's sake and then ask that question again! You have been Warned!

They mostly play live.
lol - It's not common how "The Warning" ...
There are really a few live-gigs around:
"Hell You Call A Dream" e.g.
Anyhow, a good start would be to watch "Evolve" at the MTV music awards.
or just watch the whole show at CDMX
And yes - they ARE that good live - not only there - everytime they are playing (but the CDMX was professionally recorded)
Recently - for their new album - they did some distortion for guitars and voice ... this IS a bit strange at the beginning.
