Cellerciser trampoline is ultimate g-force fitness!! I'm a mountain climber and a long-haul hiker. My fitness levels completely reached a new level on the trampoline
my ankle weights tend to have really long velcro straps. i simply connect them to act like a weightlifting belt as tight as i can to support my back and feel my core when working out. they're only 2lbs tho. but it makes a really big difference. he also said it's okay if you wear weighted vest, as long as it's not flopping around, or pushing onto your tailbone, and is tight enough. and i'm glad that i was able to repurpose them for a much safer alternative
I'm doing this with P90 to get more out of the cardio. I couldn't afford to increase my regular weights, this seemed like a good idea. Not a huge change but I noticed it.
yeah, I recently got 3 lbs ankle/wrist weights. I use them everyday for when I go walking/running with my dog. Do you think this would speed up the calories/fat I burn?
I'd skip the weight vest too if I'm going to run or walk with it, hips, knees and ankles suffer from it (maybe not a 5#, but 30 definitely). Didn't hear you remind the obvious that fat loss can (should) also be helped by food, as it takes quite some steps to burn off a Big Mac!
How do I keep myself motivated doing calisthenics workouts? Crossfit or conventional gymming has group motivation. Plus I feel calisthenics has slower(arguably better) aesthetic transformation.
Motivation is an emotional and internal thing. I'll be covering that in more detail in the next 2-part video series on the best ways to build muscle and burn fat. Stay tuned!
i agree but if people "get hungry" from the harder work and then eat their usual junk or just more they might not get to their goal of losing weight.. people need to chill when it comes to food ..they need to choose the right food (no sugars) and preferably organic veggies are great.. salads..some good fats some protein.. instead of being hooked on sugars from the moment they wake up..
I noticed a guy walking into a Baskins Robbins wearing ankle weights. Does this offset an extra scoop of ice cream? Oh and he was wearing a Nike jogging outfit, but looked as if he never participated in that activity.
I used ankle, wrist, and chest weight for years in high school and college. It messed me up. I would put them on at 0600, and remove them at 1800. You want to talk about sore? Just do it in moderation
Brother GG long duration, and/or intense movement with ankle weights or vest will damage your joints eventually. Many old soldiers have joint pain and injuries from rucking.
Eric3Frog do you have any study's to confirm that claim or it's just anecdotal? But anyways I'm planning to do that for 4 weeks and after that I'll take a break and maybe increase the weight after. Thanks for responding(I'm not disclaiming anecdotal evidence)
Eric3Frog Also I think that maybe this kinda of experiment can actually have the opposite effect on joints, strengthening the connective tissue overtime and with heaver loads increasing bone density(most likely to happen with farmers walks - obviously for a shorter period of time)
Brother GG I have no hard data to support my statements. Just years of observation in athletics. You may want to ask yourself why weighted limbs or wearing a vest for prolonged periods is not popular. It is true that this is not solid evidence of ineffectiveness. Bottom line is: what is your goal, and what are you willing to risk to achieve it. There is a price for everything. A candle that burns bright often does not burn long. Please remember that health and performance/fitness are not the same thing. At some point, greater performance will come at the cost of reduced health. Choose your path, and may you enjoy happiness. 😀
I think once on a while you can use the ankle weight for like not walking running more low impact on the floor with slower movements I think or on the floor and let your ankles and wrist yess take them off if it's to much for you body to handle . Inclines idk 😅 on treadmill inclines or moutain stairs pefect incline or the stair master 😊 i agree with you or hiking i lost pounds literally falling off and walking a dog would be good to and play catch 😊.
I like wearing heavy boots, and a backpack and carrying everyones drinks and with lotsa ice to keep it super cold, plus it is a nice challenge that keeps me from outpacing the slower walkers.
I like it, now I feel lazy because we used to always stash our beer in a river at the base of the mountain so it was cold after our hike. I should have been carrying it the whole time
I keep store water bottles in my freezer ready to go at all times. I put a huge softside flexible cooler in my backpack to keep the moisture from dripping down my backside. Near the end of the day, the bottles thaw out just enough to have ice water to drink.
In general, I usually tell folks to go sans extra weight. Techniques like that are geared more for developing how well you use your body with your given weight.
Not so much, and even if they did, it may be a less efficient way to go about it. You'll probably be better off just getting in a couple hard sets of push-ups or shoulder presses.
Alright I was just asking I do exercises that involve pushing like pressing moves that works your shoulders and I do shoulder exercises like lateral raises.
What about a weight vest in the original sense for leg development and overall strengthening of Ligaments, Tendons etc.? Is it going to help more than running faster and is the wear and tear on joints (with reduced speed) going to be way more (damaging the joints more than strengthening other structures)?
Good question! hard to answer as yes, it will possibly reduce stress on the joints if you're not running as fast and hard, but then again more weight on your feet is just more weight on the joints too. I think in the end it may be a wash so far as impact stress goes, but like the other weights, it can make imbalances and compensation worse if you're not using good alightment and technique thus causing more joint stress
Well, im using weights for a higher endurance even though im an obese but after a week, i feel a huge difference in my body like i can do more when i remove the weights, but does the ankle weight reduce the chance of being taller for the teenagers who use it (im 16 y/o) cause some say yes and some say no
I'm not sure the knee supports are going to be of that much help. Most of your joint support comes from your muscles anyway so once your muscles get fatigued the support will decrease but the load will still be on you. I suggest finding something you can move up, (hills, mountains, stairs etc) overloading yourself down with. That, or just run faster.
@@RedDeltaProject So a weighted vest will help build muscle in your core and legs like a farmers carry but removing the arms and loads the shoulders? I don't care about the weight vest helping burn more calories I want to help build a better core and leg muscles while walking. (walkings too easy by its self) I just took 30 min walk with 11% of my body weight, felt it in my legs but will it really help to get stronger? 2hr walk for the total day no stairs anywhere near me only slight hills. Should I go to 20% bodyweight or stay lighter until I'm used to it? Edit: And thanx for replying on an old video.
Huh it's interesting. I know incline is good. But the trainer said once you add 1 lb of muscle, you'll burn 3500 cal. So, that right there, even if it is not "your muscle weight " it's still resistance. So, it should definitely burn more calories.
another great video as usual i have a question did you build these muscles only with progressive calisthenics or weighted calisthenics what i am trying to say is that can we build physique like you have with only progresive calisthenics and sorry for bad english
Yup, at this point It's been pretty much all progressive calisthenics for about 5 years now. I didn't some weighted stuff about 7 years ago, but got out of it when I started doing more playground workouts and didn't have much weight at the time.
And what people dont realise is that fat loss is easier then ones mind makes it out to be. Its easier to simply watch sports instead of doing them or watching a trilogy when one can simply be doing more physical constructive activities around the home like wrench turning or dancing like a goof to some good jams.

Wow, that's incredible, congratulations!
Fantastic advice. Thank you for this. I was about to buy some ankle weights, but I would rather use the stairs of the park close to my house.
Do scissor kicks with em on.major gains. Just dont go ham at first and hurt yourself

We should find a way to strap it higher up on our arms and thighs in a secure way so its closer to the rotation points and not as wildly swingy
Buy the Wizard Sports thigh weights and weighted belt.
I want to get faster at running and i also really like rock lee, doing this sounds pretty fun so I'm gonna buy one.

Adding weights add a strength component to anaerobic exercise. As long as you keep the weights reasonable no harm should occur!
What should I start with then?
@@wn950 personally I'm using 0.5 kg wrist weights and I feel great, no pain and it makes it more challenging.

@The Red Delta Project would you use ankle weights for walking?
But what if I don't want to take speed?

I'm a big fan of "duck walks" which is where you walk around on your heel with your toes off the ground.

Not only will it burn fat.. Can u get more toned and defined in the arms??

So fast walking with ankle and wrist weights is a good way to loose weight safely without adding too much weight or hurting your back?????
without, the ankle weights. The best way to go about it is to go up hill if you can.
I think all my text books all day every day during senior high school made me loose a ton of weight XD

Would weighted exercises e.g. running be ok if you wore knee supports (when you dont need them normally)
I'm not sure the knee supports are going to be of that much help. Most of your joint support comes from your muscles anyway so once your muscles get fatigued the support will decrease but the load will still be on you.

Is a weighted vest like a lighter weight/longer distance yoke carry?
Kinda, but a goo yoke carry is also different from where it's loaded (close to the ground) so it is technically different as ho it loads up the body
