Brilliant break down of the touring accessories. Was really helpful to see them being attached and detached. I'm getting one of these bikes in a few weeks and was looking around to see what people recommended to mod/upgrade etc. Your vid has been the best so far! Thank you
Very useful thanks. I’ve just bought a ‘19 765RS and even before I collect it my mate has invited me to tour Scotland. Reassuring to know I don’t have to trade it in for a Tracer 7!
They are such great, great bikes. Best middle weight out there. A tank bag and a pair of soft pannier bags, it will take you anywhere. Carol's bike has been to the Alps, France, Switzerland, Italy and Scotland. Loads of vids on the channel touring those places. Enjoy your bike and thanks for watching
Brilliant video, i like the tanklock bags, very handy for daily use, saves wearing a rucksack. Panniers looks great too. Nice to watch how you fit these things to the bike, you can't tell how easy or difficult its gonna be before purchasing,
Thanks for posting. As a result I have also obtained a rear number plate bracket mounted mudguard. The biggest bugbear of the bike was road crud up my back!! Hopefully now sorted. Cheers.
Thanks for posting this video,I've just bought a 2014 StripleR & I will need to get some luggage for it. I've also ordered that rear mudguard you've fitted, living in Lancashire we get the occasional rainy day...
Going to get my license soon. Looking for a great first bike with some weekend touring capabilities. Fz6 s2 and this street triple are my favorites so far. Thanks for this video!!
Good luck with your license. So many great things to see on a bike. It's also a great community of people. Lots of choices out there for a first bike The Street is s quick bike but still friendly and light which is important. Take care and thanks for calling by our channel
Thanks for sharing. Will be very useful to someone that hasn't toured on the Street before. If anyone reading is thinking is it up to the job I can also confirm it is! Just fitted Blaze panniers to another bike for an 11 day trip and want to try them on the STR also. Used Kriega 30ltr before but the Blaze may be more practical. Either way, happy riding :-)
Just an update on the one tooth down on the front sprocket. Mrs rode the bike and much prefers slow speed maneuvering now, can go down to 10mph clutch out. Tried duel carriageway still not too revvy. Much more like her old Street she says
You've only got to look at the tour vids on this channel, my wife has toured Europe on this this bike with the modifications we've done. The bike is at about 24,000 miles now without issues. Thanks for watching and have a good Christmas
Nice setup, I am considering the tank bags and possibly the rear luggage for myself, mostly for getting to/from work. Do you think the they would be big enough to fit a 13" Macbook?
Hi Todd, Had a very quick measure and I think the max tablet size for the panniers is about 12" x 10" and the tank bag about 12" x 9" but the only way for sure is to take your Macbook to a supplier and see if it will fit. Hope that's at least some help. 👍
@@Banditmanuk thanks heaps for checking :) here in Australia usually this kind of thing needs to be ordered online which can make things difficult but I'll hunt around and see what I can find.
Hi, thanks for this, most interesting. May I enquire as to the Tail Mudguard contraption and whether you still use it and its effectiveness. I went the tail tidy route but am riding all weathers and getting absolutely drenched. So I am seriously considering refitting the original plate holder and buying and fitting this very mudguard. Cheers
Yes we still use the mudguard you can see it in many newer vids. Think it was made for the Australian Market by Triumph but Jack Lilly Triumph sourced it for me then.
@@Banditmanuk many thanks, after much searching with local triumph dealer we found the part number. Listed only for 675 and triumph confirmed it, I took the risk and spent the 35£.
