5:27 i also own a 765RS 2024 was disappointed to discover the exhaust is all one piece (no slip on muffler mods ) i love the bike just not the sound. How difficult would it be to remove DB killer baffle?
Tail tidy and a smaller number plate is a must for me on any bike. On my 2015 BMW s1000r i use Michelin Road 5's. I find them excellent. Theres a "6" version out now too. Happy motoring, and if i ever see ya out and about ill say hello.
Funny, I’ve just had the bike registered today and the number plate looks bloody awful at normal size. That shall be the first new change! I’m getting the Road 6’s put on at the first 1K service. I love those tyres. 👌🏍️
Be careful if you intend to fit a tail tidy. Was watching a video a couple of days back and the fella was saying the tail light lens gets battered with small stones from the tyre. If you intend to remove the sticky tyres it comes on, it may not be an issue. I have the same Cosmic yellow one as you, all i've done is an evotech radiator guard and removed rear pillion pegs and fitted blanking plates. Love the bike, don't like the dashboard, don't like the bar end mirrors and don't like having to pull the clutch in to start it.@@WheelieGoodTV
For stem mount, u can sand down the portion that was stuck, you really dont need to sand a lot and with some pressure it will slide right into. I would say phone placement at the center is way nicer than mounting on the handle bar
In South Africa we get the tools in a little Triumph branded pencil case which sits under the rear cowl. Reason for this - I was on a track day and a bloke on an RS had one of the allen keys work loose and find its way to the battery, arced across the terminals and set the bike on fire! It was pretty dramatic and probably would never happen again but still... I have a Moto2 and we get the suspension adjuster tool too - even though the Ohlins need an allen key and are super easy to get to with the clip ons. I'm an inny.
Just to be different, I'd go uppy. 😂 Those hi-def close up pics show the lovely quality of fit and finish on that Trumpet. Great attention to detail. 👍
Great looking Street Triple RS in this yellow colour scheme. Mirrors have got to be facing outwards so you have max view behind. The inwards position is just wrong. Does your house insurance cover your bike inside? I would double check to make sure. You need to get yourself a tyre changer with all your bikes. I have a few so got the Olmax one from Poland £220. Fabulous piece of kit very well made and the guy who makes and sells them is brilliant. I didn't get surcharged for taxes on delivery, but you being in Ireland and the EU definitely wouldn't pay extra. Makes changing tyres a doddle. Literally takes minutes. Then all you have to do is balance which also takes 10 minutes max. Then back on the bike. No taking them to a bike shop and paying extortionate sums to get them swapped and having to book or wait for them maybe to be done or not depending on their work load. So satisfying as well to change your own bikes' tyres. A tyre changer soon saves you cash. Don't be fooled by YT videos telling you can change tyres with levers. It's hard work and you likely end up damaging your bike's rims in the process which will be €€€€€€ to repair. I know I did it. Looking forward to you getting this RS out of the road. Surely you are not going to use it in winter with salt on the roads? It would soon kill it. Nevertheless you need to give it a thorough coating of ACF50 to protect it. I got Triumph heated grips for my Speed Triple RS when I bought it from a dealer and they only cost £199. 300€ seems a little bit steep. ATB.
Looking sweet 👌. Mirrors on my 21 are outti and work a treat. Just a quick note, when I picked my bike up from the dealer he said remove the front suspension adjuster from under the seat cowl and put somewhere safe. These apparently work loose when riding and disappear. Finding a new one is like rocking horse s#@t.
Just to let you know I have installed the quadloack stem mount on mine today. The thinner on will fit in. When u tighten the screw it go snug and secure it there. Hope this help with the OCD as i am also the same lol
Dave, this is a thing of beauty. Pleasure to watch, photography is on the ball. 👌 the video was 16 minutes, but how long have you actually spent staring at it? lol. I hope you really enjoy it, can’t wait to see it moving. Cheers for another great video. [Edit to add] Michelin Road 6, never had more confidence in a tyre.
@@WheelieGoodTV I went for the Triumph system because of aesthetics. Also going to pickup the connectivity module to not have a phone mounted to the handlebars. Just wish there were more options for aftermarket exhausts with maps.
You must have a very understanding Mrs. Mine is too, but I think a bike in our hall would be a step to far! 'Outy' looks far better and extra inches is always good! I presume you will get rid of those sticky labels on the tank? I bought a new Speedmaster this year and CAREFUL use of a heat gun soon had them removed.
Lovely bike Dave ,hope the weathers kinder in the new year, never nice taking a new bike out in shxx weather!! having fitted power leads on many bikes I learned the hard way about routing them. I see you took the lead over the top yolk, I think you might be best routing it forward and under the top yolk and then along the side of the bike as it might rub and fray when you turn the bars! Just a thought!! Happy riding keep up the great work.
Thoroughly enjoyed this video and your first ride one too Dave. My red RS arrives in 6 weeks. I also have used the Fit2Go for a few years, until one of the sensors died. Sadly, they don’t actually make them anymore, but are supposedly bringing out a new product this year. I opted for the Triumph TPMS, which I’m hoping will be good. I’m looking forward to your next video about the RS and your thoughts. Cheers Mark B
Wouldn’t buy anything off Ali Express (bitter experience) but I spend a fortune getting a new bike ready for the road, great job on a cold Winter day. You must have a big house and a very understanding wife to keep the bike inside, enjoy. PS. Outty best😉
That’s a really nice looking bike can’t wait to see it on the road, looks good next to the Piano. For the mirrors I would go Outy, alternatively what about inny but underslung, that way your shoulders don’t get in the way. I did wince when you said you removed the bolt with pliers, get you self a socket set and spanner’ for Christmas 😊Cheers.

Hence my purchase of this amazing machine! Glad I bought the RS as I had originally put a deposit down and ordered the R model! I ordered the lowering kit also as the RS was a little taller for me but I am also very happy with my purchase what a fantastic machine this is! I have just fitted a Puig front screen and think it looks great with that rather than the triumph oem one!
Got to be OUTY! I have wide shoulders and I noticed that the mirrors were 80% filled with me during my initial test ride, but they were turned in. Q: what are your thoughts on a small windscreen? Hi, personally I don’t like the screen as I think it spoils the look but that’s only my opinion. The airflow is so smooth that it doesn’t need the windscreen anyway. 👌🏍️
Keyring should've come with the bike. Cheeky triumph Also Bridgestone battlax s22 or 23 will do the job however the 23 is still fairly new so maybe the 22
I will warn on those michelin yokes, a fella I know had one still reading 38 when his tyre was absolutely shredded sitting on the side of the road :D Outy definitely.
My 2023 Street triple R already had the optimate lead fitted as standard, tucked just under the rear seat towards the battery are you sure its not already fitted ?
Allen keys will be under the seat cowl mate, thats were they are on my 2022 model anyway. As in clipped to the bottom of the seat cowl itself. Edit, further long in the video now and see you found it :)
You have the patience of a saint Dave, adding those little touches then not being able to take the bike out for a ride until the 2nd of jan would be torture 😭😂. Regarding the mirror position i suppose it depends on how broad your shoulders are, how bulky your jacket is on the shoulders and how much visibility you have with them in the “Iny” position that you might have to keep them out for a better field of vision. Anyway 24 days to go Dave you may get yourself an advent calendar to count down the first ride 🏍💨💨😂
You bought a new 765 RS, and you bought the cheap knock off protectors from ali express instead of buying the real EvoTech stuff that they ripped off the design but not the quality? Sorry mate, it makes no sense to me. Outy, I like to see more. I got the same advice from the Triumph dealer as others. Remove the fork adjuster tool from the seat and put it somewhere safe.

My wife's Street Triple spent Christmas 2015 in our lounge when brand new. Better than having a tree. That 765 RS looks gorgeous

Evotech makes a mount for your Quadlock that attaches to your handlebar mount in the center. Goes for about 50-60 pounds
I would add side guards and gear guard on it

Good tip there. Thanks!!
To anyone who “lost” this adjuster: look for it below the battery. It always fells from its place and slips to there.
Outty is the correct way. Inny can even strongly limit the adjust range of the mirror.

I would totally get the Triumph pressure sensor. I have the unit on order for my RS. Also got the heated grips.

Bin that rear bit of the tank protector 🫣
Prefer ‘inny’ look for mirrors. Nightmare filtering with them fitted outwards as the bars are already quite wide.
In order to keep power flowing to the bike do I remove the negative or positive terminal first when installing the battery tender?
