I haven't had much experience with deciduous until I received this tree about 4 years ago. I have a family friend who usually has 20-30 seedlings grow in their yard every year. I asked if I could have a couple. This tree is one that I haven't done anything with and just let it grow as I wanted to do more research. This is how it grew naturally and instead of air layering, I thought it would be interesting to develop it as a literati style.
By no means this is the best iteration of the tree as its only 4 years old. In a few years though i hope I can develop it in a more interesting style!
Peaceful and relaxing to watch and enjoy. Literati style is a tough one IMO, but graceful and elegant when done well. What type of maple is that? Thanks for sharing, friend! Take care

Wow, terrible watering. You washed away nearly all your top dressing.
Lol yea. Wasn't really a top dressing, more just dry sphagnum moss I should've wet before putting in on. It was just put on to make sure Akadama didn't spill out the sides. Wasn't meant to stay long.
