Thanks Mr. Mohamad for your great video . I have w211 m113 engine the fan not working some times even if I started th AC I changed it to aftermarket one same issue and again to second hand original one same problem. I don't have tools to check the codes do you have ideas what the problem should be? Thanks
Greeting to a friend! Sorry if I'm bothering you. I really appreciate your knowledge. So I would like to ask you something. Mercedes w211 320cdi om648. My fan only turns on at 98 celsius. When I turn on the air conditioner, the fan works. When I test through diagnostics, all speeds work. But it doesn't start at 92 when it should start and maintain that temperature. When I'm going up a hill or I'm in a cave, the temperature goes to 98 and then the fan turns on. Do you know what the problem could be? Thanks in advance
It sounds like you're experiencing an issue with the cooling fan on your Mercedes-Benz W211 320CDI with the OM648 engine. The fact that the fan works when you turn on the air conditioner and that all speeds work during diagnostics is a good sign, but the fan not turning on at the expected lower temperature could indicate a problem. Here are a few things you can check or consider: Coolant Temperature Sensor: The fan operation is typically controlled by a coolant temperature sensor. If this sensor is malfunctioning or reading the wrong temperature, it can cause the fan to engage at higher temperatures than expected. You might want to consider replacing this sensor. Fan Control Module: Some vehicles have a fan control module that can fail, preventing the fan from operating correctly. Check if your W211 has such a module and test it if possible. Relays and Fuses: Inspect the relays and fuses related to the cooling fan system. A malfunctioning relay or blown fuse can also disrupt fan operation. Thermostat: The thermostat regulates the engine's operating temperature. If it's stuck open or not functioning correctly, it could lead to higher operating temperatures before the fan kicks in. Consider having your thermostat checked or replaced. Wiring and Connections: Check the wiring and connections between the temperature sensor, fan, and control module. Damaged or corroded wires can prevent proper communication and control. ECU Software Update: Sometimes, a software update for the Engine Control Unit (ECU) can resolve temperature-related fan issues. It's worth checking if there are any updates available for your vehicle's ECU. If you're not comfortable diagnosing and fixing these issues yourself, it's advisable to take your car to a qualified Mercedes-Benz mechanic or dealership. They can use specialized diagnostic equipment to pinpoint the exact problem and make the necessary repairs. Proper diagnosis and repair are essential to ensure the engine remains at the correct operating temperature and to prevent any potential overheating issues.
@@BestCarFixes Thank you very much for your reply and your time. I really appreciate it. I have already replaced the thermostat, coolant temperature sensor. I will test and inspect the fan control module. I will also review the wiring. I live in Bosnia and Herzegovina, every mechanic for Mercedes told me that this is in the ref. But it's not right, it's a high temperature. Every one of my previous Mercedes ran at 92c so this one should too. So I am condemned to solve the problem myself. Thank you very much for directing me to some things I haven't looked at yet. ❤️

diagnose the car and see if you have a code in the AC system
@@BestCarFixes awesome thanks ill keep you updated if it was that
@@BestCarFixes it has a code low refrigerant and it says stored but it doesnt want to clear it
My cooling fan runs way too fast when I turn the ac on even on low. Is this a bad fan?
You have to check and see your account systems
Lol I am a Mechanic. I have de some problem I fix it . The battery was the problem . End the sensor that you talk is under the radiator
