I just cleaned the contacts. One plugs into the regulator and the contact plate was bent away from the blade that slides in. When its warmer, I will clean the blower correctly. It turns always. Surely is can use a cleaning. They disassemble very easily.

Hi , I have a 2005 ml 350 . Sometimes the ac work , but if you turn it up higher, the air will be hot like you switch it to heater. What do you think can be the problem ? When the ac is working, the air seem cold enough like it doesn’t need Freon . So I’m thinking it’s not low on Freon.also the fan doesnt on low setting . It only runs when you put it on higher setting. But then if you put it on higher ac setting , the air will come out hot.

I have the same problem but the cooling fan still runs high speed even with engine off… so I plug the scanner and the deleted the codes and it work normal for 3 days and the cooling fan turns back on high speed even when I unlock the door. Could it also be a command prompt???

You have another issue. The computer is putting the fan on all the time as a protection procedure for another issue in your car.

HI , I have a 2010 e350. My car's radiator fan acts all funny when the car is turned off. It keeps going on and off for 10 seconds each time. initally its very low so you can barely hear it but a few hours later it gets really loud and keeps the same sequence of goign on and off. i took it to a few mechanics including the dealership but no one has been able to fi it. Would appreciate some advise. thanks

Is your problem fixed?! If yes, what have you done to fix it.. i also have the same problem with my e350 I've replaced temp sensors, coolant and the radiator fan as well (even washed the radiator with pressure washer) still the problem persists.

Hello, I bought a 2005 C320 that was working fine ,next day after driving it for 15 minutes, 30 minutes after I heard aloud noise coming from the drive way and it was the cooling fan on full blast, and soon as I started the car the fan slowed down then came on as soon as I turned the engine off,
I unplugged the battery overnight, then ass soon as I plugged it back the fan came on on a full speed while the engine off

Yes, the problem is either you are trying to do it yourself with the wrong equipments, or your car in the wrong shop. Pay a pro to diag it.

@DallasAutoDiag I Found Out Why The Fan Wasn't Working.. Ac freon Was Super Low So The Ac Clutch Wasn't Engaging & That's Why The Fan Wasn't Coming On.. Found The Leak & Have To Bring It To The Ac Shop.. When I Added Some Freon The Fan Came On...🤦‍♂️

Thank you for the video, i have a 2015 W205, fan goes high speed with ignition on, main power and grounds are ok, so is the 12v from ignition on. on the lin control wire, there is a steady 10.5 volt, even if i unplug the fan, so this points to a faulty ECM or a lin wire shorted to b+ somewhere, or am i missing something? is there a direct connection from ECM to fan on the LIN control wire? thank you

Look somewhere else. Something in the car is telling the pcm to power the fan on the moment you put the key on.

Also the electronic coolant pump is Running at the same time, could it be faulty? I found in wis there should be a lin connector under the wipers, maybe water there? Thank you

That confirme my theory more. Mskes sence more that the pcm powring both on because he sees somthing else that he doesn't like. A high temperature or something

Well i still suspect the ecu, since it has no control of the fan.. it should send a square wave when i command it bi-directionally, right? All the sensor values are good :(

Hello mate good evening from Australia I have a Mercedes’ ML300cdi fault code *Check component M4/7 (Engine and AC electric suction fan with integrated
control). Positioner signals fault.
We have plugged Mercedes’ Star into the car and tested the fan with speed test , in which the fan works , but whilst carrying out the test the response it slow when you want it to speed up it won’t you have to wait or keep increasing the speed using star , the reason for carrying out these diagnostics is because after about 20 minutes of driving I get the thermometer pop up on the dash but live coolant temp is fine , any suggestions would be great cheers Mate
