I prefer this method in covering my fondant cakes….It’s the best for me as it covers all the imperfections and gives me the sharp edges…I do add extra cmc to make the Fondant more firm…

I tried firstly by reducing the amount I use, than secondly you either steam it or use shortening to clear it off
