"People buy things that prove what they believe"... that was mind blowing. Even though it explains how to attract consumers, it also reveals answers to human behavior in other aspects of life . E.g. what a person believes about themselves and how they "buy" into ideals to "prove" their stance on it

hahaha actually it is not why you do it. But people buy if you don't do it for your own self interest, which is the reason they want to know why and compels buys unconciously.

No they don't. They buy for many reasons including vanity or shame or group socialization or they just need a good tool for a particular goal.

A hypnotic speech. He knows when he should stop, wait and talk again. Words are so clear you can even count. Voice tone is up and down to emphasize the words. That should be the way how a person gives a speech.

    1. If you talk about what you believe, you will attract those who believe what you believe.
    2. They buy why you do it. What you do simply proves what you believe.
    3. People will do the things that prove what they believe.
    4. People who believed what he believed took his cause, and they made it their own, and they told people.
    5. Leaders are those who inspire us.
    6. Not until all the laws that are made by men are consistent with the laws made by the higher authority will we live in a just world.
    Thank you for the truth.

When Simon Sinek made the statement, "Great leaders think, act, and communicate the same way and it is completely backwards from everyone else," he did a fantastic job at both setting up the stage for his platform as well as genuinely grabbing my attention because from that point forward I was invested in his explanation to that statement. The Golden Circle model he created in regards to What, How, and Why is an excellent visual tool that simplified his explanation of how these inspired leaders think from the inside out versus how everyone else thinks from the outside in. I particularly liked how he linked his model to the layers in the human brain and how the outside part of the brain deals with language and the ability to understand figures and facts but the real accomplishment is speaking to the inside part of the brain that drives behavior and where decision-making originates. That is the part of the brain that the inspired leaders talk to and get you to believe in what they believe and create a sense of trust and loyalty as opposed to throwing facts and numbers at you.

Simon is an amazing speaker. I enjoyed how he correlated the major components of the brain with the inside-out approach of the "golden circle." The traditional approach that works from the outside does not drive behavior. To inspire people to adopt a new idea, you must talk about what you believe and why. When people believe what you believe, they will support your cause.

The concept is simple, but the effects are powerful, and the practice of this is not common. In which if you break it down it's communicating with someone's emotions, desires, and lower brain thoughts & or feelings. And then moving ahead to talking to their higher brain of logic & reasoning. So when you think about people are doing things not just because it makes sense, or because it makes sense at all, but because they're inspired. Matter of fact a person can be so inspired by something that they'll make sense out of what doesn't make sense just so they can do it.

How the successful function is a general truth of difference. I call it the "backing into the room" phenomenon. This is how most people function. You need to turn it around. Instead of forcing children to "love" reading what YOU want them to read, discover what they love and have them read about that. Instead of trying to impress the potential employer with your credentials, learn about all the major issues and needs of the company and then tell them what you can do for them. Instead of discovering the best pedagogical techniques or developing one-size-fits-all education, find out what the individual loves, needs, lives and breathes and teach to that. Instead of just doing what everyone else is doing in whatever field, do something different, really anything, and you'll have a much greater chance at success especially if it's something you believe in. Peace!

Some could disagree with you on this due to that this talk may have taken place near an airport. I will claim this because of I belive I noticed flight sounds in other parts of the video just because I where made extra aware of flight sounds after the the so called perfect catch at 10:26. Anyways, we would never have heard flightplanes if it where not for the extremely poor equipment used in this talk. So out of that point we can conclude that the organizers of this talk belong to the bottom 16% Sinek refers to on 11:26.

I keep coming back to this video every few years and am still shocked at how little of it has been reflected in the minds of our leaders in recent years.
It is up to us to do this ourselves! Over and over again - just hoping that something changes! changes nothing!
As other wise people have said: Change starts with each individual - immediately! The most difficult thing is to believe - the first step is the most important! and the 2 most difficult - to accept the fact, to accept, that after the first step a second and third and many more will follow and that one also sometimes takes the wrong way, recognizes this and learns - that it is not bad to take another way! Bad is - to stand still!
