I am 68 years old I had adhd all my life, women could not be diagnosed in my childhood as it was not something girls could have. Not being diagnosed and treated with medication has transformed in the last 20 years, not being treated for my most informative years cost me the life I could have had. One cannot blame tech for a neurological disorder anymore than video games can be blamed for violence or rock and roll in my childhood. Denying the reality of a neurological disorder or blaming it on outside stimuli is dangerous- I have great respect for you, but don’t take the easy way out by blaming some outside influence for a measurable neurological disorder.

People dismiss the importance of advisors until they are burned by their own emotions.
I remember a couple of summers ago, following my lengthy divorce, I needed a good boost to assist my business stay alive, so I looked for qualified consultants and came across someone with the highest qualifications. He has helped me raise my reserve from $275k to $850k, despite inflation.

I want Simon to feel heard. He’s a powerful voice and inspiration to many. So it’s important to listen to his reasons for not reading Dissolving Illusions, the definitive research on the topic.
Repeating a blanket ‘safe and effective’ is the new flat earth. You’re simply not open and looking. Sure some people are even less informed and you can influence them. But those with clinical experience and understanding far beyond Simon’s know he went out of his pay grade on this one.

  • @gjod100

A few pennies in a beggars cup = Legitimate commercial transaction "i am homeless and hungry" one will feel better for giving- BUT this is all about taking from people. It is all about the TAKER.
Change begging sign to "if you only give once a month please think of me next time" - this is about the GIVER not the TAKER- people want to give but do not know the boundaries. This gives a boundary - 5 fold increase in the giving.
it addresses key concerns of the GIVER - 1. I can't give to everyone, 2. How do I know you need it

I am a great fan of yours. You hv some great insights and you hv managed to change my thinking towards life. I heard the part where you said one gets happiness by giving to a beggar and you can only feel happy about giving. Well here is my take, and give it a thought . If you start giving pennies for your personal gain, you create these monsters who hv made begging a business institution. When I see people giving the cross dressers who actually bless the people donating, it makes my blood boil at the people giving. I hv seen the cross dresser beggars all over Calcutta coming to crossings in scooters, having makeovers done to look pretty in beauty parlours.
They don't go away and now they are an entitled lot who heckle you when you travel by car.
By giving you hv created a nightmare that exists at every road crossing.
If you are driving around in the city as much as I do,and giving, one would hv to start begging I think.
Charity makes one feel great. Donate sensibly.

What if you’re asking for help, but those you ask just don’t care. Or say sure at first then disappear for months or are too busy all of a sudden..
I asked family, people I thought were my friends only to receive radio silence from some or words from some then they went AWOL, one got annoyed cause she doesn’t have the time to answer my messages when I called cause I didn’t receive a response.
Not everyone has people to ask, not everyone that asks, receives that help, which is why it’s hard to then ask anyone anything. I asked at work for help as I was struggling with workload, I asked few people. I was told ‘so you’re asking me to do your job?’
I’m not sure what the lesson is in that tbh apart from you can to rely on yourself only.
My comment isn’t a positive one, but it’s what I experienced.

Yup, good speach but such certainly lost me on the vaccine promotion. So glad one of my daughters and I refused. My other daughter was forced to get for school and participation in her sport and now suffering from ailments.😢Breaks my heart. The technology was discovered in the 80’s and stopped by the inventor when he discovered the complications. Sad

Agreed. I love Simon but vaccines? Really? I can guarantee that my refusal is NOT because I haven't been heard. It's because I've done my research.

Projecting business minds onto homeless behavior is unfair.
Thats like me as a mental case saying ur motives for this video from what i know about motivational speakers who make money off of people. Ur projecting yoyr motives onto them rather then digging in to uncover a reason That isnt what you would do.
Sometimes people repeat what they are told
Adhd people before diagnosis will call themselves “lazy” crazy .. stupid.. upon understanding . They recognize They are different not lazy..

I love what you stand for but the point on vaccination, it's so very disappointing that you took side.

    • @JustinP117
      @JustinP117 3 місяці тому +1

It's interesting you say he took a side because when I heard him talk I didn't hear it that way.
I heard him tell his friend some facts about traditional shots vs mRNA.
I understand the outcome was his friend getting vaccinated
      but from my perspective
he could have been telling his friend those things, been on the side of not getting the vaccine himself, and still not judging his friend one way or the other, vaccine or no vaccine...
I just thought that was interesting.

See Simon or anyone cannot say that about COVID vaccination. Actually those who did not take with a mind of their own are better off today. They had more guts and kept away from influencers like Simon . We need to use our brains and experience even if we are not rich or famous. Ultimately each of us must think for ourselves
