Hey guys! As promised, more Anomaly content :) More episodes are recorded and will be uploaded in the coming days. Also, I've noticed that my videos are somewhat pixelated when I move around a lot. Apparently, UA-cam is taking forever to process my videos in HD and 2k quality... and from what I've seen, it's due to a huge processing backlog. I haven’t played any stalker game before, and that tutorial felt like the Dark Souls tutorial, I ended up being killed like 5 times by a gang of cats
Welcome to Stalker amigo! LOL Dark Souls... another game that kicks my ass haha. Yeah this game is very unforgiving and it takes a while to get used to, but it is very rewarding once you get the hang of it.
I'm a stalker veteran but I enjoy watching these because they're comfy and your voice is soothing. Reminds me of a long departed stalker named OCedMyToaster.

You may not know some of the mods, because I am Russian, and these mods are also "Russian".
I just started playing Anomaly mod, finished first two episodes of your series and I have one trick that I found out that is helpful - hold F key to highlight loot nearby. That makes looting much much easier and faster. Great series tho!

Bonus fun with the boar tutorial: If you accidentally hit fanatic with your shotgun, he will ignore that, but when you return to the village everyone will turn hostile and kill you.

Bruh, that explains a lot ! Felt like the game was glitched
For the boars, you can just jump up on top of one of the cars as well and just pick them off.
I believe he gives you ammo for whatever starting guns you equip
4:30 I wouldn't call that a cheese or exploit. That's just good survival strategy. I accidently discovered that when a couple of cats were chasing me I use that trick as often as I can. I also learned from another youtuber is that its easier to kill boars if you shoot them in the ass.

Well, either we both think alike or I just rocket through easy quests
The first time i started playing this game i began shooting everybody because the first time i saw a npc he spoke in russian (idk russian) in a very scary way and pointed to me his gun so i shooted him and... I did this like 3 or 4 times because i didn't know they won't shoot you and each time i ended gang banged by all the stalkers

No problem! Yeah the beginning part is where most new players struggle as they don't really know what to do or what to look for. The rest of the game flows better once you get a better understanding on how things work.

Hahahaha believe it or not... when I was younger, thinner, and with more hair, a few people told me I looked and sounded like Keanu Reeves. I never saw the resemblance but you mentioning it brings that back hahaha

I’m just an hour of experimenting in but my issue with fanatic has been that he shredded every enemy we encountered before I could have a go... I wondered if they patched this quest since recoding and gave him John Wick powers?
Hmmm.. the reason why I never bring him to kill the boars is because he always dies XD Maybe you got the John Wick version :P

I just started playing stalker. Never did before. I have a problem with the second fanatic quest. The artefact would not appear no matter what I do. I am holding the detector and it has batteries.
I started playing before I found this guide, so I have the SKS, and I jumped on the roof of the car that is on the boar side of the road, and shot them all from up there while they chased Fanatic. I died my first couple attempts before I found the car roof idea. 😂😂
1:53 I could be wrong, but I think he gives you ammo for whatever guns you're carrying not just shotgun. great video and keep it up!

I'm so glad I found this lol. I've been playing STALKER for years, but this is the first time playing Anomaly. I started out as Duty in warfare mode and was so lost lmao.

there is no Jellyfish artifact.. maybe cuz i'm too late.. i couldn't find tutorial before so i did other missions
I think the Jellyfish artifact spawns only when you initiate that portion of the tutorial.

I actually found a second lead container in the stash while trying to get the anomaly so I ended up putting the bread in it even though its probably useless lol
Lol i never found use for the anomalous bread, so i always sell it :P

Maybe, but it wouldn't be the first time a mutant jumped atop of a car in this game :P But I guess it is better than just standing there in the middle of the road trying to dodge them lol
@@SixxsBunker ahaha yeah man, that's what ive been doing anyways, there's less chance of them getting up there, than there is getting hit on their level. i always use high ground as an advantage where possible, especially great swamps lmao that place is a death trap ahahaha
One question, if I only play anomaly from the beggining, story wise, will I technically finish SoC, CS or CoP?
No. While the Anomaly story quests are based on the original 3, nothing can replace the original 3 :) I recommend you play the originals at least once.

This is amazing, I definitely love it, and I started mine and didn't even know there was a tutorial mission, I just ran out and started blasting things, to no avail I might add
Hahaha! Same! When the mod came out 2.5 years ago, I fired it up for the first time and I was like... uhm, ok... what do I do? I didn't realize there was a tutorial mission until a few days later.

How do you have minimap? I had that too but it disappeared and i cant get it back
You can enable the minimap in the options menu. I think it's in the HUD/UI area of the options menu.

Another way to handle them boars is to stand on top of a car. It's a lot easier then trying to run to an anomaly and being a new player possibly running into said anomaly and getting killed.
Really? Interesting.. Every time I tried to use the car they still jumped high enough to get me :P
@@SixxsBunker you need to be right in the middle of the roof for it to work. Turned over buses and even conexess you can get to work great. When I first started I had a heck of a time spotting anomalies and kept dying trying to avoid the mutants and not run smack dap into the anomaly I was using. Was funny the first few times lol being a return player for the new update I really appreciate your videos they are serving as a great refresher! Thank you!

The way I cheesed a chimera was to hug a tree. The chimera couldn’t attack me for some reason and I unloaded a shit ton of 5.56 into his face
Hi , everytime I load my save and do a fast
Travel , AI just Spawn right infront of me and there’s lots of fights going on. Is there any way to fix this?
Hello! No idea... fast travel always worked a bit funny. I think there might be a mod on the addon page for Stalker Anomaly in moddb but not sure. I rarely use fast travel.

Haven't really played through a Stalker since SoC so I'm glad to get back into it. Great series so far!
Gave Autumn Aurora a try a couple of years ago but I didn't really play it that much.
I've played for a couple of hours now in Anomaly and I've gotten around 50k.
Using the same loadout you are, would you recommend me buying a decent weapon or going for armor/helmet first?

In regards to your question, I don't normally buy new weapons unless it is absolutely necessary or if it's a very good weapon, or even a shotgun from Butcher (he sells them pretty cheap). If I spend money on a weapon, it's normally for repairs and upgrades. I'd rather spend money on new armor. I will try to make an Armor video at some point to guide new players on which armor is good. However, as I said in another comment, it's cheaper to repair shitty gear, but it's much more of a grind ;)

Hey man, love the content! Ive got a couple of questions for you: Any idea what determines the weapons that vendors offer? Also, do you know which vendors offer which weapons?

Yeah different vendors sell different things, as you'll see when you progress throughout the zone. Some factions use more specific ammo types than others (e.g. Freedom and Mercs mostly use 5.56 rather than 5.45), as well as vendors specializing in specific weapons (e.g. Butcher in Garbage specializes in Shotguns, very cheap too). Also keep in mind, the more you level up with a faction, the more supplies become available with vendors from that faction ;)
I unfortunately do not have a vendor list with what they sell, and I couldn't find one. Maybe someone has one in the Anomaly Discord, but unfortunately I do not have one handy. I hope I was able to clarify some of your questions! Let me know if I can be more of assistance :)
Also, if you get the Heavy pockets achievement, which involves reaching 1.000.000 RU, traders will put all their stuff on offer regardless of their levels with their affiliated faction.

At least he doesn't give you the car park tutorial anymore.. That was hard even in the unmodded game. Take out 5 or 6 bandits with just a crappy pistol.
@@azmc4940 lol that's right! Although I kinda miss it now... Since they took that out the Car Park seems kinda empty. With luck I get 2-3 bandits in there when before there were like 6-7 haha

At 17:57 it shows what the quest needs is it a setting that i missed or something else because i literally can't find it anywhere

Not that I know of. Usually the quest info gives you what is needed (e.g. # of patches, # of dog tails, etc.)

Hey mate,ty so much,i have a question....i stared as CleearSky and after taking quests from staring zone/base i still cant get the maint questline quest....how do i start main questline story?

If you enabled Story Mode in the loadout screen, then the guy who gives you the main story line quests is Cold. He's in the building in the back of the clear sky base, opposite the weapons trader. You have to accept the quest that says something like "I want to find out more about Strelok".

Hmm that never happened to me. Did you go back and talk to Fanatic after putting the jellyfish in the container? Make sure he's not dead or lost or something. But that's really weird...
I can't find the jellyfish and I keep dying over and over, the scanner does not work... Very frustrating and ruining experience
That's weird, if you follow exactly what I do, you should be able to find the jellyfish artefact. Might be a bug? If it still is a problem, post it in the Anomaly discord so modders and devs can see.

Thanks a lot for making this it has been incredibly useful for starting off, I have a question I accepted a few sidequests but now my minimap in the corner is gone? Does that happen with certain quests or is there a hotkey I might've pressed by accident?
You mean the minimap was on the top left of the screen as part of the HUD? You can enable that again in the options menu ( I think it's under the Player option in the settings). Let me know if you still have problems and I'll try to see if I can help!

Another less cheesy way of dealing with the boars is behind the white car on the left when heading from rookie vilage to the bridge there are some concrete shapes on the ground. If you shoot the boars then retreat to the area ins between those concrete structures, 90% of the time they treat you as if you are on top of a structure and will run away so you can lure them over and pop them legitimately. Even if they do come into that space they still treat you as inaccessable and if you avoid the charge they just run away.
Before starting first mission for fanatic do the start the mission for wolf and Sid. If you get lucky you might get other stalkers to join you it'll make your first encounters with anyone easier
Hi, how do you know who is who for your tutorial quests? One of my issues is i don’t know what quests to do or how to get them. I’m clear sky right now for example, where/who is the tutorial starter?
The Loners are the only faction that have a tutorial quest, unfortunately. With all other factions that have the story line enabled, you just need to speak with the corresponding faction leader to initiate said quest. But the tutorial quest is only for Loners.

@@dnblegend280 Of course, the Clear Sky faction leader is called "Cold" and he's located in the office in the back of the base, opposite the arms trader (the one next to the dog and the exterior fence).

For some reason the second part of the training mission wont trigger. Im at the spot but Fanatic wont let me continue with the quest. He just walks around and the only dialog options are "Tell me about yourself"
Is this right after you grab the jellyfish artifact? If so, go to the spot where you once found him at first, it should trigger the next part.
@@SixxsBunker no that was before he promoted me to get the artifact. I solved it by resetting the play through

Nice vids man, you really helped me! :) I just have a one kinda stupid question. Is there a way to holster your weapon or have it face barrel down like you have at 7:26? Maybe i'm just really blind, but i went through the key bindings like 7 times and I haven't found it. Thanks a lot :
No problem! You can holster your weapon by pressing the weapon slot button where the weapon is at, or you can lower your weapon (i changed the key binding for that so idk what the default key is). The lower weapon key binding should be in the controls list.

Max quest for NPC doesn't do what you pretend it does. Actually, it's the number of quests you can stack from the same NPC. Nothing to do with the number of quests he can offer
Other than that, it's a very good video. I liked the trick with the boar from your last video! I have a lot of experience with this mod, and this first mission always scares me... not anymore :)

Hey Sixx! Love your videos but I have one tiny complaint, I can not unhear the ducking of game audio whenever you speak. Your voice sounds wonderful, vocal compression/EQ is set up really well but the game audio is getting cut out noticeably whenever you speak, it's a bit much in my opinion. Looking forward to episode 4 fellow Stalker!
