Just started trying to take up yoga during this quarantine. I have been anxious and depressed so I am trying new things to help myself. Yoga positions are difficult as I am not flexible. I’ve been looking at many instructions on how to breathe because I find myself involuntarily holding my breath in difficult positions. This is the best, most clearly explained video so far. You’re right. We take breathing for granted but you helped me become aware with your simple exercises and explanations. I feel more motivated to start my journey! THANK YOU!

Hi AJ. Thank you for your videos. My question is- some teachers teach that on the exhale the air should come out first from the stomach, than chest and last the collar bones. Which method is correct? Thank you

I like your videos, but saying many times the world difficult it cuts off the wanting to do it for me... observed by using the same meaning of ‘not easy’ it makes everything more easy to engage with :-p

have you read the new books on Breath and science of respiration. Suggest 3 books> BREATH by Nestor, THE BREATHINGN CURE by McKewon and Oxygen Advantage by McKewon. I humbly suggest that yoga/pranayama teachers at least study these books to see how it could help.

My body was so relaxed to the point where body got paralyzed and I toe was the only thing I could feel and move around until I started to feeling my body again. Kinda scary is it normal also I imagined an elephant. Wired experience

When the body relaxes completely, the mind relaxes too. Sometimes you may imagine something that seems random. It can feel weird the first time. Check though, did you feel relaxed and energized after your practice?
