Some people go by that method. I only use tape if I put it in my tumbler press

thank you I did not know I could reuse my tumbler once I messed them up I was hand sanding them down, and using them for glitter designs. I will be investing on a good heating gun.

I think you did incredible with only 7 mistakes. It happens. Make 7 super black background tumblers and give out as gifts.

I get so much great info from you.
I do tightly wrap the top and bottom of my tumblers even though I shrinkwrap them and I never get the white spots/ghosting. I think if you at least tapped the bottom and made sure the sub paper didn't have any puckering, the problem would be solved. I think the white on the bottom is from the paper puckering up and folding in on itself when you shrinkwrap them.

Thanks for your videos. I am always learning something new. I am new in the sublimation business and I bought a tumbler press instead of the oven and I watched a lot of videos how to avoid white ghosting in a tumbler but still I have a lot issues. Can you please make a video about this? Or any suggestions? Can I use shrink wrap in a tumbler press?
I have never used a shrink wrap in a tumbler press. And I normally use my oven for tumbler. But I do have a tumbler press so I will try to do one soon. But I have other videos that have to come out first.

I came across your page today and was shocked to see that you don't tape the top or bottom of your tumblers (this is the only video I've seen that doesn't tape both). I am new to sublimation and can't stop the ghosting effect on the top & bottom so I just implemented it in the design. I just tried your method and got very little ghosting on the bottom but none on the top. I think that came from me trying to cut the bottom because I had more access on the bottom. Thanks for your video, you just saved me a whole lot of heat tape $$$.
It’s really hit of miss and depends on what machine I’m using. Just make sure there is no space in your paper when wrapping and taping your design as well.
They turned out so beautiful. Question: Was there any reason why you didn't use the tumbler press instead? If it's not too intrusive, what did you charge for each? Getting ready to do a big order.

I didn't know you were supposed to warm them up first. I made my first two and didn't warm them up first. I also didn't use the shrink wrap. They came out good though.

What temp or settings do you use on your heat gun for the shrink wrap?
All that waste is exactly why I quite doing sublimation years ago lol 🤣🤣but everything looks really good !!!

Well, in the end, you got them all done beautifully and got the order out. And with that many tumblers, I'm impressed that it was only seven that weren't perfect. Great job! One question: Which one do you think works better when sublimating mugs and tumblers, silicone wraps or shrink wraps. GOD Bless :)
They both work fine. It’s not a question of which works better it’s more which is the best method for you and what machine you’re using. Shrink wraps don’t go in the mug press. And the tumblers do better for me in my oven rather than my press but I always do my mugs in my mug press.

Just butcher paper. You can see it in the video when I use the 7 in 1 mug press video or mug press vs oven video.

I’ve been taping the seam,top, and bottom. No ghosting so far.
It doesn’t mealy. It’s made to withstand the heat

No not at all. Just butcher paper. The mug press has the silicone inside the press to apply the pressure.
Great Job!! I have a question, how do you determine the amount of time the tumblers should stay in the oven. For example if you had 4 tumblers then the next time you have 8 tumblers do they have different times to be in the oven pending on the amount of tumblers in the oven? Ty in advance!
It comes with a book and time settings for different items. I showed the unboxing. So you can just go by that and then tweak it.

If you’re sublimating you can use the oven or a mug press is something start off with a convection oven but it can only be used for sublimation

@@IconicVoice yes a mug press but you have to check the sizes that it will press. A tumbler press is not the same as a mug press. Different sizes.

Individually it looks great. But I’m a stickler, If it don’t match the others I’ll make another one that will. Lol

Hello, Can you use a convection toaster oven as well for the tumbler? If so. What settings do you put it on? And temp and time?
Yes you can usually 400 degrees and time varies based on your oven and how many you have in there. I haven’t used one in a long time. There are other videos of people using convection ovens.

Which printer do you have paid $200 for epson may 2022 and it just went out so money gone after less than a year no reason why but a lot of people have been having this problem
Does your heat gun have a temperature setting? If so, what did you set it to? BTW Great video!! THANK YOU!
There are settings right now I can't remember what they are as far as temperature. I always use the highest or 2nd to hottest setting.
