Thank you. These are my problem areas. Sizing and ghosting.
You’re welcome! Ghosting can be a pain at times but with this method or even using the Pinch Perfect will definitely help. For sizing, just always remember to measure every time.

Thank you Great tips! . I'm struggling with the darker background designs having ghosting
Such a great video! May I ask who your supplier is to get tumblers? I would love to be able to always get the same size without having to re-measure for different size 20 ounce skinny tumblers from different suppliers
looks great what temp and time used?
un grand merci pour ce tuto, erik de Belgique
You're so welcome Erik!
That looks great. I’m new to this. What heat and time do you use please. Thank you in advance
Thank, I will try your way, I think I wasn’t getting rid of the bubbles.
video was helpful. i am new to sublimation and i did everything the same i do have ghosting and yellowing from tape on bottom of tumbler. any way i can get that off. i use a heat press do i need to do it twice ?
That’s perfect! I love it! Please tell me how you designed it!
I purchased the design off of Etsy.
Where did you get your design? Great video. I’ve watched so many and after seeing yours, I’m more confident about doing one.
Thank you! I would love to hear how yours turned out. I found the design on Etsy.
Awesome!
What kind of paper and tape do you use please?
This was actually very helpful! Thank you! Do you use a protective paper in your press like butcher paper or parchment paper?
Hi Danielle, no I do not use any protective paper when pressing my tumblers. I just simply wrap the design, tape it down and press.
Very helpful. What printer and ink do you use?
Looks flawless. Are u putting anything in the cricut mug press to tighten it
Thank you and yes, I am still using my good ol piece of cardboard lol. I have purchased a silicone pad to use and will be posting that video soon.
Hi, for how long you left it in the mug press?
Love this! So crisp and clean and not a sign of a seam. I just was wondering, you said--I think--you used your Cricut Mug Press? Could you tell me how you did it? I was under the impression you couldn't do a tumbler in the Press, that's why I use a convection oven. Thanks!! 😊
Hi Beverly and thank you for watching my video. Please refer to my previous videos showing how to sublimate using the cricut mug press. I believe they will answer your questions.
Just thought I’d offer some info up since you thought you couldn’t use the Cricut mug press. Or for anyone else this may help.People found a way around this by stuffing something inside of the Cricut mug press so that you get a tight fit around your tumbler, whereas before there was a gap since the press was made for mugs and not tumblers. People started using anything from cardboard box pieces, folded butcher paper , or anything that could be used to fill in the gap. This might be something many of you already know but Amazon started selling inserts that are specifically made for these gaps and they can be used on the Cricut mug press as well as on any heat press ! I only recently found out because I purchased another Cricut mug press , after I sold my first for that very reason. However I loved the Cricut press because of how simple it was to use so I bought a new one expecting to just stuff it up with something to fill in the gap. To my surprise I found the inserts and they are awesome and do the job needed. I do have to say at times the press doesn’t recognize a tumbler inserted but a little wiggle and it senses it just fine. You also get 3 in a pack, 1 for a 15 oz, 20 oz and 30oz. Not sure why Cricut just hasn’t made one for tumblers yet. But then again that company doesn’t have a ton of common sense when it comes to the things their customers want and use!
@@jestcy4205 thank you so much for sharing this info do you happen to have a link to share for the wraps please?
This was a job well done!! Tumbler came out great and very neat!! Could you please tell me where you got your design from??
Etsy
Hi! Did you use an insert for tumbler in Cricut mug press?
I'm still getting white marks along the top and bottom. My seams are much better but no matter how much I press along the seam and along both sides of the seam in the overlap (if any. I've tried both ways) I still get a tiny line at least in some places. Both ends of the seam always have some white ghosting as if I never pressed the heck out of it. I'm even stretching the tape to it's maximum. I keep wondering if the silicone bands I've heard about will help the top and bottom.
Could it be that I don't have enough pressure when I'm heat pressing? I've got the top frames of the press almost touching each other. I guess I should try it before I work with glass.
is there anything you can do to keep it from scratching ??
did you really put that in a cricut cup press? amazing!
I sure did!
Was this filmed with the selfie camera? I noticed the design was backwards on the tumbler.
Lol, yes, it was. Usually, I would flip the camera but this time I didn't.
What size paper do u use? As we’re using 8x 11
Great video! But, did you mirror it?
Yes, the image is mirrored. The video was just recorded in selfie mode, so the image wasn't flipped.
Great Video! I ordered some lighter sublimation paper to see if that will help me.
What were your results?
@@SheeshSoCraftyLLC haven’t been able to use it and by now my garage probably ate the paper!
@@vrothery50 🤣 I hear you. It's been a while since I've made anything so I know my basement has swallowed up everything.
Pull out your sublimation stuff this summer and I'll do the same. Let's create something cool!
@@SheeshSoCraftyLLC That’s a deal!!! I have my stuff all over half of the garage - I need to take a week to just find stuff again!!!! I want to try those ballerina on a tumbler shoes - that would be fun - I ordered all the stuff I need just need to print out the shoes!Take care!
Are you talking about the one with the real laces/ribbon on it? If so, that would be cool. I've always wanted to try it but have not yet. Let me get my things out and get to work. Thanks for the inspiration!
WOW so nice!. which app did you use to make your print? and did you flip your design horizontal before printing
This helps a lot. I'm still struggling with the sizing though. And how are you accounting for the white borders. Are you just trimming them that way or are the white strips included as part of your 9.3. Btw, which blanks are you using?
I have the same question…..
I am new here; I loved the video, I am trying to get into making these. Can I ask where you get your Tumblers? What cup press do you use?
Hi, I am a supplier of tumblers and would use the ones we have in stock. However, we will no longer carry blanks as of July 31st. So, if you are in search of some blanks at a really low price, be sure to check out our site at sheeshsocrafty.com for our closeout sale. As far as the press I use, it varies. I usually use my Cricut Mug Press for most of my tumblers but I also use a tumbler press that I purchased from craftsisters. They no longer carry it any longer. So you may have to Google where to find a good quality press.
When you put your tumbler in the heat press do you add a cover over it
No I just wrap my tumbler with the design and then sublimate it. I don't add any cover or butcher paper over design.
Great info, where so you get your tumblers from?
Thank you! You can find tumblers on our website at www.sheeshsocrafty.com
Omg your tumbler came out so beautiful. I'm new to this but I keep having white little marks at top and bottom of my tumbler can you help with that. It's like white spots around bottom
Yea, it is called ghosting. Try pulling your image a little tighter or wrapping your tape tighter around the edges and press for an additional 15 secs on the ends. Let me know if this helps.
@@SheeshSoCraftyLLC okay thank you so much for your help I will let you know
Thank you soooo much for this awesome step-by-step tutorial. It is greatly helping with my fears!!
I see you got that image from Etsy but do you have a link or exact search phrase? I have looked multiple times and cannot locate it.
Thank you for your time.
What type of tumbler press do you use?
Hi Nikki, I used the Cricut Mug Press for this.
Great video, however, you did not show cooking the tumbler, time, and temp?
Please reference my previous videos for sublimating the tumbler using the cricut mug press. I believe this will answer your question.
What size paper do you use ? When I do it it be a lot of over lap
8.5x11
What program do you use to get the exact measurements you need?
I use Silhouette Studios. Be sure to check out my previous videos on my channel. I show what program and how I size them.
I keep getting ghosting and it’s frustrating lol I’m gonna try again
Yes, I definitely encourage you to try again and again. My sublimations aren’t always the best but that’s part of crafting and learning.
Does the Yellow tape color ever seep through?
I have never had that issue with any heat resistance tape. However, I have had this problem when using masking tape. It left a yellowish color and sticky residue on the tumbler.
Very nice! What brand of paper do you use?
Thank you! I use HTVRONT Sublimation Paper from Amazon.
What are you using for a Press? or Oven
Cricut Mug Press!!!
What temp are you using for your mug press?
With the Cricut Mug Press, there is no set temperature. The Cricut Mug Press automatically sets the temperature for all items. I simply just leave it in the for a few mins and then it’s done. You can see my process by watching some of my other UA-cam videos on my page.
I cannot get my top to stop ghosting do you think it could be the paper?
It could be. However, I would try to print your image for the exact size of your cup and make sure that your image is taped down without any air bubbles. Don't oversize your image or leave any open spaces as this could cause ghosting.
did you do this in a cricut mug press?
Yes, I did.
Can I ask what app you print from? I'm so lost on where and how to print correctly.
I use Silhouette Studios to create and print all of my designs.
May I ask.. How tight do you set the heat machine to clasp around the tumbler?
Honestly, it doesn't have to be extremely tight. You will want to apply about "medium" pressure but not too much as this can cause it to burn or turn brown. I usually like to leave a very thin gap in-between my tumbler and the press just to be on the safe side.
What software do you use
How do you create the size? What do you use?
I use Silhouette Studios for all of my designs and prints.
Is it the camera or is the print backwards
Lol I didn’t know if anyone picked that up. Just me n u I guess lol
