The Perfect WordPress Platform for Freelancers !

- There are many things I like about WordPress…. None more so than the ecosystem that supports this glorious platform of ours.
I mean, as a free platform that is essentially a starting point to make your web creation dreams come true, there is literally NOTHING that comes even close - nothing, nada, niente - zilch.
And with that aforementioned ecosystem, we are provided with free and paid for products and services that make it all so easy! WordPress was “No Code” before that expression was even born!
Plugins: simple things that can extend what some consider should be in core (a hot debate at the mo!) to quite ridiculous plugins that can turn a simple WP site into a near SASS platform!
And other stuff on the utility side of things specifically for freelancers, agencies and web pros - security, integration services, communications and of course infrastructure & hosting.
Which brings us on to today’s topic!
One of my favourite contributors to our ecosystem is the epic InstaWP - and when they started out back in 2021 it offering a new way of creating WordPress staging sites - it kinda took the WordPress world by storm! It allowed anyone to spin up a new online WP website in literally seconds - you could install plugins and themes, test configs and generally have a fully featured dev server to work with with a single click - oh, and did I mention, that’s all for Free?!
Since then, the InstaWP platform has evolved to include so many more quite remarkable features - it really is a “one stop shop” for WordPressers!
So today it's my pleasure to take you through just a few reasons why I think InstaWP is the “Perfect Platform for Freelancers”!

Thank you Jackson! This set up will be so useful when developing websites for clients!
You're welcome Carla! Thanks for watching!
Thanks for your video!
How did I miss this. This looks so much easier than creating subdomain on my server, FTP WP to it, setting up DB etc etc. Just a quick question. My main concern is that those site suddenly get found by Google and when you come to go live have a massive problem with duplicate content. Can I add a htaccess password? Or something to stop Google?
In WP, you can set 'Discourage Search Engines' to stop it getting listed until you are ready.
Yupe, we have a Protect Password feature in Sites > ... > Tools > Protect Site, which will set the htpasswd.
Bang on RG!
Non-tech question: Are you based in Hove, East Sussex? Your face looks familiar.
Hey RG, Brighton (actually 😀). Maybe we've met at a web meet up down that way or the WP meet www.meetup.com/wordup-brighton/?
@@wpjakson I thought you looked familiar. Not sure where though. I haven't been to any of the WP meets.
