I would say that if not the only way, than by far the best way to get into any Tech role as a self-taught person is to perceive respective Tech field as a hobby, and if you're unable to perceive it as a hobby, that field/role most definitely is not or you.
For everyone: if you wanna succeed in DA or BI or DS, learn Excel, SQL, python, tableau, power bi and/or R depending on the course you will enroll or the career you will follow. This is maybe the most valuable advice you will get. Once you are on your course you will know why.
Thanks so much for this video. I've been down bad, applying to internships for the experience just to know what companies are looking for, but I think this video gives me everything I need.
I don’t how but UA-cam got here right on time; looking for change in my career and this looks kinda fun. Thanks for the research and dedication, this helps a lot!
I used data camp for a year when I started my phd and completed data analyst data scientist career tracks twice that's 200 hours on data camp plus doing projects on the side. In my 3rd year of PhD I did all the analysis necessary to show my data in 2 days. I have helped other people from the consortium with their analyses and also build shiny apps. It's feels like cheating sometimes because it takes me 5 minutes to do something that would take hours in excel. Definite worth it
Thank you for this! I'm currently a teacher looking to switch careers and was interested in becoming a data analyst, but I needed to figure out how. I'll look into the data analyst courses you recommended. This video came across at the right time.
i usually never comment on videos haha. This Video was really good, and he gave a broad view of everything and made a roadmap for those who want to learn coding, etc. definitely subscribing to this Serbian guy here. thank you fore going straight to the point and not yapping. i really appreciate that
This just validated my notion that I need to get solid certifications from Microsoft and tableau. Legitimately not a coincidence but definitely a sign that I’m on the right path here. I appreciate you 🤝🏾
You are incredible! Literally i have the same mindset! thanks for sharing happened the same to me the courses are not as good lol aside from the google IT certificate i really recommend it for the ones who wants a foundation!
Speaking from experience, you need to treat your data skills development like a recipe book. You can have the best recipe in the world but you wouldn't stop after step 4 and take a couple of months away from the kitchen, and then wonder why no one wants to eat your cake. You have to keep at it
Very helpful cuz I am just likein the beginning of the video, incomplete courses, enrolled in a lot of them at udemy but not finish anyone :/ thanks for sharing
Succes man!
@Stefanovic92 thank you for replying. Actually i have enrolled in live DA course, but the thing is here we are only learning basics and not how to use those skills in real based scenario. However they said they will be giving us internship after course gets completed. I'll look into Datacamp course, if it suits with my budget i'll see Thank you

@@Stefanovic92 Please read that I mentioned courses. Not certifications (as many people believe running through online courses and putting a certificate of completion is enough)

People who are looking to change careers, just find something else. The tech market is already competitive and saturated now, when someone tells you otherwise it's because they wanna sell you something
