When I heard her sing Don't cry Daddy with her Dad it gave me chills. I cried.
This is absolutely so powerful Elvis alone could sing any kind of song no matter what him and Lisa singing together is just magnificent amazing and so well put together wow without words over the top Elvis fan for about fifty yrs now there will never be another Elvis no one like him 😎💯🎯💙🎶❤️💐🌹🌷🌎
I always find it emotional when I hear duets like this between parents and children when the parent has died.
In her vocal ability and facial features, she is so obviously his daughter.
Gospel was Elvis's favorite style of music to perform but his manager pushed him to do almost solely mainstream-styled songs.
Sadly in 2020, Lisa Marie's son Benjamin committed suicide after battling severe depression. He was also a singer although none of his songs were ever released.

Take My Hand Precious Lord, is a great Gospel song from Elvis. Crying in the Chapel is another heartfelt, but on the quieter more tender side of his talent. Stand By Me, Moma Liked the Roses, I could go on and on. Peace in the Valley. Another song where they have added Lisa Marie singing with Elvis is, Daddy Don’t Cry.
Whats amazing but tragic too is that we will forever remember him as a young man. He will never age to the rest of us. We will, but he will always be young and handsome.

She was so underrated. Her own music is so good. I love her voice.
Absolutely SPECTACULAR! The harmonies were so fluid, that they almost sounded like one person singing! Please play "Something Blue" and "Reconsider Baby", that were sang by an extremely young ELVIS. "Reconsider Baby" is a blues song that he really DOES sing fantastically!!! Also, "I Believe" and "Going To The Chapel" are Gospel songs that went to # 1 in England, Ireland, Scotland, and several other Countries; however, "Going To The Chapel" went to #2 in America! Can you imagine a Gospel song topping the charts in America in current times? Three of my favorite Gospel songs that ELVIS sang are "Bosom Of Abraham", "I Believe", and "In The Garden"! But, no matter what he sang, it was phenomenol!!! I have been a fan since 1957 and it has been a perfect, wonderful ride. I hope that he really DID know, how the World loved him so much! I still listen to his vinyl Albums almost everyday! Thank you for your glowing reactions of the King Of Rock and Roll!!!

I was born and raised in Memphis Tennessee and as a deputy sheriff there I was fortunate enough to have been honored to have worked his funeral. I was paid nothing as it was my days off but didn’t mind. I felt I owed him so much for all the beautiful music he gave to me. He was the sweetest, kindest man you old ever imagined and very approachable. Every year our city swells with fans from the world over to celebrate the birth and death of the KING.

Elvis' daughter was 7 years old when he died. His crew arrived at the house when they were called about his passing. One of them said they found her walking in the house and she told them her daddy had passed away.
I haven't heard this, but I love it. I had one of Lisa Marie's albums in the early -2000s. I enjoyed it during my college years 😅

Another great duet is Don't cry Daddy", she was 9 years old when he died and she was there. When she made this song she said it's seemed like his hand reached down and helped her. This is such a beautiful song that just grabs you from the start. Her duet with Elvis Don't Cry Daddy is phenomenal and I thi k that you would truly enjoy it. She truly favors her father. 👑🎶
Lisa gave an interview after she had recorded this duet with her dad and she said that she felt him there, so much so that she became very emotional herself and had to stop at one point. Lisa had a very unusual singing voice and her albums were great. You should definitely listen to a few of her songs.

I love Lisa Marie's voice, it is so powerful, especially here with Elvis in this amazing song. I just can't believe that she is gone!! My favorite CD of Lisa Marie's is Storm & Grace. My favorite song is her love song to her former husband Michael Jackson- Just A Dream, but she wrote many, MANY other songs about Michael too in all of her music,, he was the love of her life.

Lisa recorded 3 solo albums. Her first song released is called "Lights Out". Check out that video and you will see she definitely has Elvis mannerisms. One of my favorite Lisa songs is "Idiot". That video is awesome as well.

This is heart rendering. Lisa knew that Elvis’s first love was gospel music. Please listen to all of his gospel albums. The original recording of Where No one Stands Alone is from his How Great Thou Art album. Elvis won three Grammies during his lifetime, all for gospel music. Elvis wasn’t a king. He did not like the title, and he would have given that title to so many other artist…from Chuck Berry to Fats Domino.

You might give a listen to Elvis singing "Take My Hand, Precious Lord". If anyone knew about the storms of life it was the King. The song was written in the '30s by Thomas Dorsey. He was leading the song service at a revival in St.Louis when a telegram was handed to him. It said that his wife had died in child birth. Heartbroken, he went back to Chicago to care for his baby son. But that night his son died as well. He went through a deep depression. One day a friend of his arranged for him to be alone in a room with a piano. As Dorsey ran his fingers over the keys this hymn came to him. It has been a fervent prayer for millions since. Didn't intend to write a book, but thought you'd be interested.
So moving especially with her passing this past week. Very cool, very moving. Sigh.....
All the duets Lisa did with her Dad were good but this is the best of them all. In time Elvis did indeed take her hand and she now stands with him and her son, no one alone.
You might consider reacting to what is perhaps the most poignant performance Elvis ever gave. It was shown at the end of the 2022 movie Elvis, and it is spellbinding, so beautiful, and so sad. Lisa was terribly under rated and often wrongly and viciously maligned. She had her own style that some loved but many didn't and the ones who didn't were not at all reluctant to slam her whenever they got a chance. Some of my personal faves of hers are Sticks and Stones (Live version is best), Lights Out, her cover of Dirty Laundry (I like it better than the Don Henley original), Storm and Grace, How Do You Fly This Plane, and You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet. They all have a story behind them (the ones she wrote which is most all of them) and they all relate to her life and people in her life. It's definitely worth exploring the Lisa Marie catalog.

....................Never cared for Lisa's singing. I love Elvis, but they don't blend well together yet she keeps putting out these duets. I suggest to the viewers to check out Elvis's Original solo versions of all of these duets. His work is brilliant and should not be altered, even by Lisa.
