I really love this song! Of course, I love every song that he sang! ELVIS was so good at telling a love story! I can picture the rain in his shoes and the old men outside a general store! Thank you for making an old lady very happy! Great reaction!
Absolutely one of my favorites! Long live the King. Was blessed to see him in concert (thanks Mom!) when I was 6 years old. I’ve never forgotten the experience.
Even though Elvis sold more records than any other entertainers and was the superstar of superstars, listening to his records these past 40 plus years since his death; no one before or❤ after him even comes close to the voice or magnetism of the King. He will live forever through his music and will ALWAYS BE THE KING. ❤❤❤❤
Kentucky Rain is one of Elvis’s best vocals, recorded at the infamous American Studios in Memphis where Suspicious Minds, In the Ghetto, Don’t Cry Daddy, Memories and other monster hits were recorded about the time he returned to live performances. These sessions made a lot of young songwriters wealthy and enabled them to be success solo artists. Great review!!
Elvis can sing a story like no one else....I hang onto every word waiting to see where the story is going...great reaction.... beautiful song. Thank you... 🌻⚡
1st of all, just wanted to say I love your reaction channel. Being from Nashville, Tennessee, born and raised, you're reactions to country music is sincere and genuine. I get more out of your soothing reactions and your true amazement to the sounds I grew up with, more than anything. As I said, I was born and raised here in Nashville and I've never made a trip just 3 hours away to visit Graceland, home of Elvis, until 3 weeks ago when my cousins from Castledawson, Northern Ireland came for a visit. We were al so mesmerized by it all, and though I've always been a fan of Elvis ( I was 10 when he died), I never really appreciated him until our Graceland journey. One of my all time favorite songs of Elvis was and still is, his live 1968 comeback performance of "Trying To Get To You". So please, if you can find the time, I'd love to see your reaction to this song Thank you, Ronda ❤️
One of my all-time favorites, of his!!! I'm so happy you've included Elvis in your music exploration!! Another of my favorites, of his, is "If I Can Dream". I'm thinking you, maybe, haven't heard it---it was on his '68 Comeback Special, live, and his performance is extreme emotion; members of his band said he gave it his all, and was absolutely exhausted, afterwards. I clearly remember watching it, when it aired! Remember Martin Luther King, Jr's speech, "I Have a Dream"? When he was killed, Elvis sang this, to honor him! ua-cam.com/video/u-pP_dCenJA/v-deo.html
Sweetheart, I am very sorry about your Mother! Life can be so hard. I lost my father when he was 61, and I thought nothing could be worse. My mother passed away much older, when she was 84. However, the death of my son at 43 is something that I cannot get passed! He died very unexpectedly from a bloodclot in his lung that went to his heart on May 25th, 2021. I don't know if this will ever be any better. I grieve for him every day! I will keep you in my heart and pray for you. Funny how our love for ELVIS can bring complete strangers together. God Bless You!
@@sheliaspringer7389 We're not strangers ... we're all family in our love for Elvis . My heart aches for you with the loss of your son ... you have my sympathy .
I’m partial to his gospel albums for which he won his 3 Grammys and I love all of his cheesy movies. I saw him in concert 3 times and he was always awesome!
Never in a million years did I ever think when I was growing up listening to and loving this song (was born in the 80s) that I’ll end up spending so much of my time in Kentucky one day 😂
This song and In the Ghetto were made toward the end of his career/life and I have always felt they were among his finest songs. So glad to find it again.
Has always been my favorite song by Elvis; so much emotion & vocal inflection that's rare in a recorded song. Thanks for your reaction; it doesn't get any better than watching someone else reacting similarly to one's own reaction to Elvis's music in real time.
Love this song, have for a very long time. It's on a CD in the house, and in the car. To me, this is 'Elvis'. Though I love all that came on the radio.
One of my favorite Elvis songs is “American Trilogy”. If you react to it you must do the live version from his Aloha from Hawaii. Absolutely breathtaking literally
I just found your channel and it’s great!! Love this song especially being from Kentucky!! Wonderful honest reactions you give! I’ll keep watching for sure!
This song was written by Eddie Rabbit, a successful country singer. The story goes Eddie was going to release this when he was first getting started and Elvis heard his rendition of the song and asked if he would allow him to record and release it first, so Eddie held off and Elvis released it. Go down the rabbit hole and check out Eddie.
You'll find that a lot of Elvis fans prefer the originals over the RPO versions. However, there are three albums for you to explore: Elvis Presley and the RPO "If I Can Dream" which was released in 2015, "The Wonder of You" (2016), and "Christmas with Elvis and the RPO" (2017). Fun fact: they sold much better in the UK than in the US. And there are some songs that you've already reacted to on these albums.
As an Elvis fan, it's just impossible to have a favourite song, but I have to admit that this is one of my favourites - it's a great country song. I don't dislike this version, but I much prefer the original. One of the songs that has been re-done with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra is 'Burning Love' (which I know you've already listened to live) and I think the version with the orchestra is great too.
My man Elvis beautiful inside and out. You need to check out some of his gospel songs and his duets made after his death, with daughter Lisa Marie ( Don't Cry Daddy, In the Ghetto , Where No One Stands Alone)
Listen, I recommend you it overlaps on that very exciting ballad slot, to hear Elvis' 1976 song "Danny Boy" I have never heard such a thing in my life. It just penetrates the soul.
The orchestra was added just a few years ago, so he didn't sing with them. It was a project that Priscilla Presley worked on and I really like the results. The original of Kentucky Rain didn't have such a strong orchestral background, but there were some strings and horns and it was simply beautiful.
Love this song. Can you please react to “Tomorrow Never Comes” This song really shows his unique vocals. Not only the power but that range. I promise you will love it!
Taylor, the pianist in this recording is country legend Ronnie Milsap (new artist). In tribute to this song and Elvis, he has a Must React hit song: Smokey Mountain Rain.
From Same album, please check out FEVER, ..with the philharmonic, a x Micheal Buble....and the original, master tapes, were given to the Royal Philharmonic, with Precilla and Lisa's blessing.
These lyrics, especially that repeated phrase 'cold Kentucky rain', is part of my own childhood, growing up in Kentucky. I've known many an afternoon like the one he's describing. Another memorable song that had that 'cold Kentucky rain' lyric, _You Can't Over Love,_ was sung a few years ago by country legend Collin Raye, sitting in with a group who cut a few memorable tracks, none of them major hits that I know of, The Fruit Guys. It's worth a listen: ua-cam.com/video/9e3KdGV5Cbg/v-deo.html
Since you’ve reacted to Ronnie Milsap a few times, you should consider listening to the original album version of this song. Ronnie is on the piano and singing backing vocals.
Here's the original release of this particular Elvis song. It's a great song anyway but, the orchestra version of it does soften it up quite a bit. It doesn't seem to convey the desperation of him finding her. This version is actually on my favorites play list. Hope this helps! ua-cam.com/video/ywiXy-9X4F8/v-deo.html
Elvis once again delivering a stunning performance, But, if yoi listen to the lyrics it's a song about a stalker trying to catch the girl who left him. Just sayin'
This is so beautifully sung by Elvis!!!
Everything about Elvis soo much charisma love you Elvis , thank you for loving Elvis 😭😭😭😭😭😭miss him😭😭😭😭
The KING doesn t need a symphonic orchestra,, HIS voice is beautiful enough....
I really love this song! Of course, I love every song that he sang! ELVIS was so good at telling a love story! I can picture the rain in his shoes and the old men outside a general store! Thank you for making an old lady very happy! Great reaction!
One of my fav Elvis songs…what a kind hearted soul he was!
My family is from Kentucky. I'm so glad you appreciate Elvis. Thanks.
This is one of my favorite Elvis songs. I’m from Tennessee & we love him. But I always imagine him walking through the rain looking for her.
ELVIS has so many different sides ! ! the best of the best ! ELVIS came from GOD !
He lived every song he ever recorded! All the 714 of them!
That is one of the best descriptions of him I have ever heard - "he lived every song he ever recorded!" Wow. Yes, he did. Thank you!

“Just Pretend” live 1970 is another great song, it is a country song. Love it!
This is beautiful.
Kentucky rain my favorite Elvis tune
This is one of my all time favorites. I'm almost 70, but I still love it :)
I've always loved this song by Elvis. I've heard this song so many times but never this version with the Philharmonic. Excellent post. Thank you.

Omg, Elvis, his voice is like no other, thank you.
Elvis really great, Listen to him singing "Oh Danny Boy" pitch perfect and shows the most perfect rendition, it is a stunning performance.
My favorite Elvis song. ❤️
This was one of my mom's favorite Elvis songs. She subcomed to metastatic breast cancer almost 3years ago .

Sorry about your mom.

No one sings like Elvis . Simply stunning
Kentucky born, Kentucky raised...I approve this song!! 😅
I’m partial to his gospel albums for which he won his 3 Grammys and I love all of his cheesy movies. I saw him in concert 3 times and he was always awesome!
More Elvis please. Make the World Go Away would be a good one.
The King!
The storyteller King! ❤️
My all time favorite Elvis song!
loved it for decades
Give «I’ll remember you» from the Aloha-special, a spin. Poignant, beautiful and Elvis just nails it.
Never in a million years did I ever think when I was growing up listening to and loving this song (was born in the 80s) that I’ll end up spending so much of my time in Kentucky one day 😂
As a Kentuckian this has always been an iconic song, thank you for sharing.
Ahhhhhh! Elvis! One of a kind! Great reaction!😍
One of my favourite songs
I've enjoyed singing this at karaoke 🎤 so many times. Love it and glad you are finally getting around to reacting to it.
Thank you for your great reactions
Great channel new follower from Kentucky. Elvis is like a God here. Thank you for listening
This one
Is one of my favorites that he sang. He sings this so beautifully and puts his heart and soul In it...

Trying to Get to You is a must listen from the King.
This was SO big when it came out.... and I still remember all the words. Love that you're covering Elvis!

My dad's fave Elvis song! Today would have been his 76th bday. RIP Elvis and Big Al.
One of my favorites!!!! Pure Magic! 👑❤🎶
Great song great reaction
This is one of my favorites as well ❤ I first heard this when I was younger on the radio but was not aware at the time it was elvis thank you
Another song by Elvis to check out is 'Bridge over Troubled Waters'
originally done by The Righteous Brothers Elvis does it so good.
Originally done by Paul Simon & Art Gufunkel not The Righteous Brothers. But yes Elvis version is incredible and to me personally I think is the best.
I just found your channel and it’s great!! Love this song especially being from Kentucky!! Wonderful honest reactions you give! I’ll keep watching for sure!

This was a great song. Another good Elvis song that has this same feel is In The Ghetto. I think you would like this as well. It also tells a story.

I don't think he ever done it live. But the original version is great also ! Check out Moody Blue! That was from his last album!
Moody blue is my favorite, wish reactor's would play it,it gets lost,in ELVIS, songs category
The orchestra was added just a few years ago, so he didn't sing with them. It was a project that Priscilla Presley worked on and I really like the results. The original of Kentucky Rain didn't have such a strong orchestral background, but there were some strings and horns and it was simply beautiful.
Reconsider baby is a great song
Please, please listen to Elvis’s cover of Bridge Over Troubled Water. It ranks right up there with the best of his songs.
A few recommendations
How Great Thou Art- his last concert 1977
Bridge Over Trouble Water- April 1972
My way- Aloha from Hawaii
Very nice
This was a really good one.
Have two I like. Both tiles from movies
Flaming Star and Charro. Both far different than his fluff movies.
Ronnie Millsap played piano on Kentucky Rain!! You hear him better on the original. Elvis said " Millsap, give me a little more thunder on the piano".
There are three of these albums. 1 of them is Christmas songs. They are all great albums.
It is a full album!!!😉
